Friend,i love your statement and questions.My church teach courtship but based on personal or life experiences likewise other churches.But i have started to make every one of us there see that for the fact that we teach it here does not make it biblical.
The christian courtship can't be the time you know who the will of God is and the time you get married cos you can't court in isolation.It happens between two people.And if it's the time to know who the will of God is you dnt have to have any one at hand becos it means you are the one choosing for him to inturn APPROVE who you have presented.

After you have been directed to ur would be life partner or to WHERE you will find her,and you see who you LIKE,
You will find out that the person will be a 'christian'becos God is directing you,

Please note that the calmness or disturbance in heart is a sure possible ways God speaks to even a baby christian,
Havin considered all the above to be on the positive side,go ahead and propose to the person.
Because you have been directed by God does not mean the person can not object to ur marriage proposal,
This is where you start to work to make her accept you but not as in the case of Courtship where you go into relationship to study,learn or for compatibility check.
If the would be life partner accepts you,inform your parents and she would do same then you guys can start to plan for marriager and not courtship but in a situation where she refuses to accept you,move on with life and apply same principle yuou will see you will get married easily.
I tell you my brother,the devil does not want us to get married hence courtship which most certainly leads to pre-marital sex and God's wrath towards us the chosen.
The coming of the lord will be like the days of Noah men will be getting married and giving out their daughters in marriage.The devil does not still like this one hence his strategic and devlish delays through courtship and others !

'Christians'court does not mean it is the right thing to do.Who are christians?Do you mean church goers or the ignorant christians ?We are saying it isn't proper.It is not right.It contradicts the word of God.It's for un-believers and ignorant christians.
I know this one is too heavy for some of us here but it's biblical.No one or church even the orthodox churches can show me where there is the mention of courtship in the bible or anything that resembles it.
Please friends,if you dnt wnat to be heart broken and used and dumped as a result of frequent pre-marital sex,abstain from courtship.But if you dnt care or give a hoof,continue with courtship.

When God directs you to where to find your wife or to her as it were,you propose to her.If she accepts fine,if she doesn't accept,it behoves you to try to convince her not by courtship after all you never start courtship with some one who does not want to be in a relationship with you.By the time you convince her to accept you as a husband why the courtship to now see if she is suitable or compatible? dorox: The scripture you quoted "Seek first the kingdom and his righteousness and all other things shall be added unto you" is so very easy to understand, but sadly it is one of the scrptures that have been misapplied and abused by prosperity preachers to suck their sheep dry to enrich themselves.
Did Jesus whose word is truth mean that seeking the kingdom would make someone rich? No. If he did, it would make him a liar because peter did not become rich, neither did paul nor indeed were we told of anybody coming into material wealth from seeking the kingdom. To buttress my point a bit more think about the man that said silver and gold i have none, wasn't he a kingdom seeker? What of the man that said that the poor will always be with us, did he lie?
The truthful and simple explanation is that Jesus made that statement to show how important the kingdom is to us christians. That it is by means of the kingdom that all of mankind problems will be solved. In other words, when we get into the kingdom, we are provided with all other things.

He worked to earn a living;2 Thessalonians 3:8 If you work or do business to earn a living,is it not only normal to aspire to prosper in what you do?If you become genuinely prosperous by the positive trade you do,are you to reject it so you dnt go to hell?I think what you should do is to try not to fall for riches i.e making money at the expense of ur love for God.No wonder Christ said it won't be easy for that rich man to make heaven becos HE placed his walth above the things of the kingdom.When peter asked Christ that who then will make heaven and Christ's response was ALL things are possible with God.Even it will just be God for a poor man to make it into heaven.
When peter said silver and gold have i none but what i have i will give thee does not mean that Peter was begging for what to eat to stay alive all day.God provided for the apostles per time per time.He knew fully well that what the beggar NEEDS was healing,he offered it and it was done.
Yes you are right when you put the seeking of the kingdom above wealth and riches cos that's how it's suppose to be.Peter once asked Christ what their gains would be havin left everything just to follow Christ.And his answer was just another way to remind us that we can't loose something for his name sake and not getting it back in multiple folds.He told peter that every one of them who have left everything for HIS sake will first join HIM in the heavenlies at HIS second comming.And also,all who left brothers,mothers,sisters,fathers,wife,children and FIELDS for HIS sake, will receive a hundred times as much AND WILL INHERIT ETERNAL LIFE.Mathew 19:29

I dnt need to ask any pastor cos they are humans just like me.Rather i should inquire of what the bible says concerning an issue.My pastor may have gone through courtship before marriage does not make courtship a criterion for marriage.
Believers or no believer,the rules are same in courtship: Go into it either anticipation to study,change,learn the person or with the aim of sleeping with the person.I repeat,courtship most CERTAINLY lead to sex before marriage.Any how you do it,you must fall victim,except it's not courtship.

If i take out 10k from my 100k at the end of the yr,take it to the 'house of God'and believe am giving it to God,is there anything wrong with that ?But i think there is something wrong when i dnt give it at all and someone tells me i will go to hell becos i dnt give it-that's where the problem is.Jesus said to the Pharisees that even though they pay their tithe,that they should not leave out rendering of justice and love God as well.HE said both should be done side by side Luke 11:42 !

For me,if it's mandatory,then it's a law which we dnt need.But when it's optional i.e do it when you think there is need for it or out of love for God and HIS work.
I love this issue of whether to tithe or not,whether to cover our heads as ladies in church or not,whether we should put on trousers to church as ladies or not,whether we should speak in tongues or not and the like cos they are some how there in the holy bible for us to have a reasonable debate.But when an issue isn't there at all and we practice it,i get turned off ! You can't know any one good enough to get married to him/her for just two months.2YRS EVEN can never be enough.And if you ask me,i dnt think ten yrs will be enough.I know of a couple who courted for 15yrs and just a yr and six months in their marriage they divorced with both parties saying the other partner started behaving in a strange way.So 15yrs couldn't just be enough !

In truth she is no different from the pastors, after all they all repeat words from the same boiler plate script intended to whip up emotions rather than the increase in knowledge and understanding. Words such jesus loves you, halleluyah, praise the lord and the promise of miracles and protection feeds on our emotion. That kind of worship is too shallow, it makes us to view God based on what we can get from him instead of loving him for his endearing qualities.

About ten years ago, I became fed up with the fact that I didn't know how to approach, meet, and get dates with women that I was attracted to.
It frustrated the hell out of me.
One night I was out with a friend, and I saw a woman I wanted to ask out, but I just couldn't get up the nerve to do it. I can still remember that night... right on the spot I made the decision to do whatever it took to learn how to be successful with women and dating.
Well, after a lot of hard work and trying all kinds of crazy things, I finally figured it all out.
I can now approach just about any woman and get her number almost instantly. I've dated models, I've dated actresses, and I've dated nice, normal, regular girls as well.
It has been a very rewarding experience. I no longer feel that sick, insecure feeling... like I don't know how to meet women... and I might wind up alone.
I know that anytime, anywhere, I can go out and meet attractive women.

In as much as it's a fact that our leaders(political & religious) have failed us,does not mean we should not hope for something good from them.In as much as there are fake and fraudulent men of God does not mean that there are no true men of God.As we have original Naira notes so do we have fake naira notes.As a matter of NEAR FACT,people have started printing the fake 5,000 naira even b4 the arrival of the original.
On the 24th of January 2002,the pope John Paul the II once called on all religious leaders for a prayer for peace and unity in the world.So many people frowned concerning it.Bringing to our notice that for the mere reason that the buddhists,shinto,shirks,jewish rabbis,muslim clerics etc does not belive that Jesus is lord,how are we now same in one faith to bring about world peace? You see,any how you look at it,THERE IS NOTHING WRONG TO ORGANISE PRAYER FOR THIS COUNTRY NIGERIA.Becos i know for sure that it's possible they will listed to a word from the bible that will give them a change of heart.Besides,the HOLY SPIRIT can come upon them.
I don't think prayer and the word of God is bad & even allow sinners to come listen. May be the big question should be:
Who are the most qualified men of God to pray for this country Nigeria ?

Peter never prayed with the Rosary,he never prayed to dead or living saints,never bowed down to image of 'mary' or any other graven image.He never instructed us to ask mary to forgive us our sins or to help us tell Jesus to in turn tell God to forgive us our sins!He never baptized any infant.He never sprinkled water on any one and called it baptism -i.e baptizo meaning putting something inside water .He never burnt candle and incense during worship and instructed the church to do so.Was any of the churches then called a Roman Catholic church ?He never advised us to follow the traditions of men but of God. Where did you guys get all these that made you consider Peter to be the foundation of ur ROMAN catholic church ?People dnt convert to Roman Catholicism except wen dey are forced to do so wen they are getting married to a catholic partner or dey are born into such families.No hating words please.One they God will show us all the way to go.

This is why I say, run as fast as you can for Jesus and the one who can keep up might be the one.

3. The Real Man -
No, I am not talking about machismo behavior (all the shoulders back, chest out, fist curling gestures and such)… Real men don’t need all of that. That’s what grown-boys do to get a woman’s attention. Real men “pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace” (2. Timothy 2:22). Real men regard women as a gift that is not to be taken advantage of; they see her as priceless and desire to cling to her (Matthew 19:5). A real man’s character shows his high regard for a woman long before the dating stage.

4. The Learner -
A man who is in continual pursuit of knowledge is better equipped to handle life and execute on goals / plans. He should read, seek counsel, study continuously, etc… The Bible says, “Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed”( Proverbs 15:22). Also, “My people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). A man who is willing to learn and gain knowledge in life should also be more open to gaining knowledge about love and having successful relationships.

5. The Multiplier -
A man shouldn’t just balance you out, he should constantly add to you. His presence should multiply your potential. He should add to the beauty of who you are and never take away from anything that is precious about you. ( “Relationship Coaching: Do you multiply or divide?”) The Bible says, “Do not be deceived: ‘Bad company ruins good morals.’” (1 Corinthians 15:33). The man you date should never cause you to compromise good morals. He should seek ways to support you in your values. His values should complement yours.

6. The Servant –
A man who has demonstrated a pattern of submitting to authorities in his life (leadership, pastors, parents, etc…) will also have an understanding of how to submit to God as the head of his life and, subsequently, how to commit to his future wife. The Bible says, “Obey your leaders and submit to them… Let them do this with joy and not with groaning,” (Hebrews 13:17). His positive attitude towards authority figures is an indication of his servant’s heart and also provides a picture of how he can be in a dating relationship.

7. The Consistent Man -
Emotions rise and fall, but character shows with consistency. The consistent man is not in a rush because he does not have poor intentions, nor is he interested in manipulating a woman to be led by her emotions (“ Warning: Don’t Follow Your Heart”). He will take his time to get to know you and will allow you to get to know him as well. The Bible says, “Whoever walks in integrity will be delivered, but he who is crooked in his ways will suddenly fall.” (Proverbs 28:18). Over time, the consistent man’s good character will still stand, while the man with bad intentions will also come to light.

Remember, the purpose of dating is to get to know a person. If you take your time to get to know him, you will be able to find out if he is the type of man you should date.

All above points are just fabulous ! But i tell you the moment a woman starts dating the man with the above qualities,he looses everything !
The big question is ;How do we now know who to get married to and when ?

1.If you dnt know where you are going to,ask for God's direction
2.Do you like what you have seen ?
3.If yes,is the person a christian?
4.Are you restless in heart(or have fears) just becos you want be married to the said person?
5.Go ahead and marry for God is in it if all the above are on the positive side.
You can't get to know a person outside marriage no matter how you try.
People will always pretend to be what they are not just becos they know some one is interested to know about them.
People also put up a character just becos they are in need of something.
Pregnacy,child birth and raising children bring out the real us that can never be seen in dating !
Dating will ultimately lead to pre-marital sex.
The girl child looses in the long run in dating.
It isn't possible to date without getting attached emotionally-Sex ends it.
Any one in dating is involved in amorous relationship.
The devil is happy when we date because it ultimately leads to sex before marriage.
The bible says(1 thessalonian 5:22) we should avoid every apearance of evil.Not only evil in itself but that which seems to be evil.Dating leads to sex before marraige which is evil.
People who are dating as a kind of relationship always feel they are in marriage already.
Most dating relationship if not all leads to heart break !
People date,get married some times and file in for divorce there after.So why date ?
People who date,most times marry out of pity !

Your lines above got me into this.A point of correction,peter wasn't a pope.You guys branded him dat. Don't follow your heart but follow the word.The things you listen to might influence you either negatively or positively. But follow the word of God.Not TRADITIONS of old or of men.
