hahn:There are Nigerian supermarkets all over the place but no one wants to make noise about them, especially as many are Igbo owned. It's when the oyinbo come and promise something for nothing that clueless Nigerians get excited. |
skyfullofstars:Having an affair is harmful to one person. Lying about the paternity of a child is harmful to your partner and your own child - that is evil. |
People want the Samsung Galaxy S6. |
Anyone who was laughing at him for selling garri is an idiot. I love garri. It is not detrimental to my health and it is a truly Nigerian product. He shouldn't have wasted his time addressing fools. |
skyfullofstars:That's not the same thing. The woman knows that child is not from her, whilst the man is deceived into believing that the child is his. These women are lying to everyone - they lie to the man and her child, that is evil. |
Paternity fraud is not a criminal offense in America. There are numerous cases of men paying child support for children that are not theirs and the women are never asked to return the money when it is established that the man is not the father, not to speak of incarceration. The laws have changed somewhat of late, in some states men might get relief if paternity fraud is established but that is not universal. No money is refunded and no threat of imprisonment for these ladies that commit fraud. The courts in America are loathe to hold women to account. DNA testing should be mandatory at birth, before the birth certificate is signed - that would put a stop to all of this nonsense. |
Crude oil theft began in 2009? There was no looting pre-2009? |
kinggenesis:When they say 'holy spirit' I think they mean gin, or some other alcoholic beverage. That is the only way any adult would ever believe that such garbage was inspired by an infallible, unproven being. |
Why is this man so fond of the camera? |
A wonderful example of backwardness. |
What do the refineries have to do with Buhari's corruption pledge? The refineries are operating as per the previous administration's policies. |
ignis:Niger Delta accounts for 80% (at least) of Federal government income. So, you're right, Nigeria is more than the ND but only just. |
http://afritechnet..com/2015/07/best-privacy-focused-search-engines.html Typically, search engines collect detailed, personally identifiable information. This information includes the search terms submitted to the search engine, as well as the time, date, and location of the computer submitting the search and is used for marketing and consumer profiling purposes. Google, the market leader in search engines, automatically collects user search terms and IP addresses. Google admits to retaining identifiable information for 18 months, and then "anonymizes" the data linking search terms to specific IP addresses. No company is above being hacked and no information stored online is entirely secure. In 2006, AOL, leaked three months' worth of 'aggregated data'. With that in mind here are some useful search engines for those that wish to keep some of their personal interests hidden from marketers, cybercriminals or just keep something for themselves. The two best options: Ixquick "Ixquick is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of its user community. This privacy policy details the - very limited and non-personal - information Ixquick.com ("Ixquick" may gather and our disclosure policy."Ixquick has a 'zero data collection policy - no information on users' IP addresses, browser information, operating system or search words is collected. The search engine claims to only record an aggregate total of how many searches are performed per day: "We only count the numbers and are in no way able to know what your specific operating system, browser, language settings, etc may be, because we do not record that information." Ixquick claims not to use identifying cookies and is preconfigured to work with HTTPS. Ixquick offers a free Ixquick proxy service for greater privacy. Ixquick explains its revenue stream, in lieu of selling user information: "Ixquick shows a limited amount of relevant sponsored results on the top and the bottom of the results page. Each time these sponsored results are clicked upon Ixquick receives a minimal fee from the advertiser." DuckDuckGo DuckDuckGo advertises itself as the search engine that does not track its users. It claims not to create a profile of its users by providing search results based on the best sources instead of past searches and partnerships with other search engines such as Yandex, Yahoo and Bing. DuckDuckGo does not save search history as Google does. Nor does it save IP addresses, browser or operating system information. No user Agent strings are collected. DDG refrains from using cookies altogether. DDG claims to plug the issue of "search leakage" and to use non-personal aggregate information to correct problems, such as spelling errors. http://afritechnet..ae/2015/07/best-privacy-focused-search-engines.html |
Foolish people with minimal foresight see it as a waste of money. |
PunkyVeer:He won't look any better but in his case it has nothing to do with looks. He will still have access to resources and the connections to acquire more loot - that is what will make him a catch to young ladies with a lust for material goods. |
PunkyVeer:If she's serious about keeping the money flowing in her direction then she will get pregnant as soon as possible. She won't be attractive forever and someone else will catch his eye as she inevitably ages. Ashawo work is a young woman's game. |
PunkyVeer:It's nothing new. We have always had ashawos. We will always have ashawos. |
http://afritechnet..ae/2015/07/darkode-forum-shutdown.html Darkode, a popular hackers forum referred to as a 'cyber hornets nest' by law enforcement, has been shutdown. The closure of the site comes as a result of ongoing collaborative investigations by authorities in twenty nations, including the EFCC in Nigeria. Assistant Attorney General Caldwell of the US Department of Justice stated “This operation is a great example of what international law enforcement can accomplish when we work closely together to neutralize a global cybercrime marketplace.” Users had access to "malware, botnets, stolen personally identifiable information, credit card information, hacked server credentials, and other pieces of data and software that facilitated complex cyber crimes all over the globe". The website is said to have been unique in that it was one of only a few prominent English-language forums in an arena dominated by Russian-language sites. As an English-language forum Darkode had greater appeal as a truly international arena. This is reflected in the eventual take-down of the site which involved law enforcement in twenty nations spread over 6 continents. The Darkode forum, had between 250-300 members at the time of closure. Prospective members had to be sponsored by an existing member and were heavily vetted prior to being invited to join the forum. Successful candidates were expected to post an online resume of their criminal exploits - listing skills, successes and the manner in which they might enrich the forum. Gaining access to the forum would allow a member to engage in the trade of advanced cyber tools for criminal activity as well as a wealth of ideas and advice. http://afritechnet..com/2015/07/darkode-forum-shutdown.html |
activelyA:Those people you mentioned are not in public office. What a silly argument. A footballer gets paid to entertain by way of football, actors do so in their plays and in films. Are governmental officials entertainers? Are they here for our amusement? Government jobs should not be a means of acquiring wealth - if you want to chase riches go into the private sector. Public servants are there to provide a public service for fair pay, not to amass wealth that is meant to be used to enrich the lives of the majority. |
IAMTHEHERO:This is a man who was backed by Tinubu; had Amaechi as an errand boy; claims El-Rufai as a friend; and said that Abacha was not corrupt. |
That's what folks do at malls the world over. When there's a holiday people flock to the shops. |
http://afritechnet..ae/2015/07/android-is-most-vulnerable-os.html Every 18 seconds someone, somewhere is making a virus designed to take advantage of the inherent flaws in the Android OS. This is to take advantage of the fact that there are over one million apps available for download in the Google Play store to cater for the 1 billion plus user base. The rise in smartphone uptake has lead to an increase in internet banking usage. As with all things users are drawn to the convenience, if not the security aspects. The growth in mobile banking has, in turn, been matched by an increase in the number of malware programs designed to relieve users of their hard earned money. Eugene Kaspersky stated that banking apps made for Android OS were most vulnerable to cyber crime. G Data, conducted a mobile security audit which revealed: "50 percent of Android malware currently being distributed has a financially motivated origin and includes banking Trojans, SMS Trojans and the like." The actual percentage may be higher, the ratio was taken from that of known cases. Android's open source nature makes it more accessible to amateur developers and malware creators than other formats. Google's less rigid (compared to iOS) verification model allows the ever increasing Android-centric malware market to flourish. Users are advised to avoid downloading any apps from non-official sources. The Google Play and F-Droid app libraries are the safest options. Sites that offer paid apps for free are often used as a ruse to spread malware. http://afritechnet..com/2015/07/android-is-most-vulnerable-os.html |
That's not the Nigerian High Commission. |
For everyone getting excited about the prospect of this young man being killed by the state - ask yourself what happens to the many people who abuse and kill their house staff? Most don't even face the criminal justice system, let alone face the prospect of being killed. |
The people who moderate this forum are afraid of the Islamists. They never have to justify their decisions. Even the xtians are not so myopic. |
PapaBrowne:Best part of the country for sure. Also love and respect the south west, south east and the middle belt. |
This is the best thread that I've seen here in months, maybe ever. P.S. I am not Igbo. |
Nonybb:You want pictures of Ibadan? |
DonXavi:Amnesty for a job well done. They wanted to distract from the economic progress that Nigeria was making. Or have we already forgotten how some people promised to make Nigeria ungovernable if they did not get their way? |
It's not Niger State. It's Niger Republic, get it right. |
Bush people. |
ajepako:You can make meat pie from Nigerian ingredients, same with sausages and shawarma. And since when did Nigeria not have poultry farms? You have no clue of Nigerian agriculture. |
