Which 14 year old is not sexually curious?

P.S.
When has beating a child ever stopped them from doing anything?
Science/Technology › New NNPC Head Issues Facebook Fraud Warning by mmsen(op): 12:55am On Aug 12, 2015
http://afritechnet..com/2015/08/new-nnpc-head-raises-facebook-fraud.html

President Muhammadu Buhari recently appointed Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu as the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.

The recently named head of the NNPC has since released a statement alerting the public to the problem of online fraudsters misusing his name to create social media accounts.

Emmanuel Kachikwu has advised users to disregard any Facebook communications as he does not operate a Facebook account. An NNPC spokesperson has acknowledged Facebook has previously been utilized by scammers as a tool to defraud people within the oil and gas sector.

Julius Berger hype will be demystified with the low quality of job. Julius Berger actually did the failed Aba-Owerri-Ikot Ekpene highway which did not last up to 2 years.

Amaechi did solid road and bridge constructions without JB's inflated but substandard projects.
A lot of the roads in Akwa Ibom were built by Julius Berger and have lasted longer than two years.

I'm not sure what happened to the road that you mentioned but JB generally do good work.

If you want bad roads - look at what Hi Tech or Arab Contractors build in Lagos.

Don't ever compare China/india population to Nigeria.. Nigeria's population is inflated for higher allocation...

Search online for pedestrian traffic among China, india and Nigeria... In China, they are like ants..
It's true that we do not have accurate population figures.

We should all know why by now.

Nigeria really needs constitutional reform so as to get rid of this culture of federal welfare payments.

True. Nigeria is a very rich nation but we're ranked amongst the world's poorest nations. The way that we live, reason and behave got me feeling and believing that we're living in a "psychiatric nation". So long as our leaders keep playing God in our lives and we keep giving them the opportunity to do so,we'd continually live as slaves to them.

There's also a silent epidemic ravaging Nigeria today, which most people haven't taken note of. There seems to be an upsurge in the number of silly and gullible Nigerians being developed daily. Nairaland and the last elections, has afforded me the opportunity of knowing that for a fact. The way some people vehemently defend some politicians and political parties with all their being even when they are sounding very stupid, could be quite amazing. The two things that I personally see as destroying the psyche of most Nigerians, are "poverty of the mind" and "stupidity and the constant act of being gullible".
For some reason people on nairaland need to make demigods of politicians who have done nothing except make speeches, hence all of the cries of 'Sai Buhari'; the incessant updates on the ongoings of El-Rufai (a man implicated in several scandals in Abuja); and all the posts celebrating the lives of the scions of lifelong politicians.

Good point Sir but I think the government can regulate the number of children. The very essence of a government is for the overall wellbeing and welfare of the masses. A developing country like China for example has laws prohibiting more than one offspring. That maybe because of their booming population but it also has economic implication.
China is the exception, not the norm. They have an entirely different system of government.

The Chinese realized that the majority would not be able to feel the benefit of any reforms without a slowdown in population growth. For whatever reason people at the bottom of the social pyramid seem to have a peculiar need to have more children than they can cater for, this is a universal trait and the reason why large swathes of India's population are not feeling the benefit of their increasing national fortune.

Most nations (democracies especially) leave the issue of childbirth to the individual, or at least pretend to (Sweden used to forcibly sterilize its own citizens until the mid 1970s).

I would have no issue with a one child policy but you can imagine how the religious bodies and and their sheep would kick against it. Sadly their influence in Nigeria is very real and almost completely negative.
Nairaland General › Re: Poverty Mentality Of Nigerians And The Ripple Effect by mmsen:
What does the government have to do with people born into poverty who then have several children, also born into poverty? That is the greatest cause of poverty and an overwhelming security risk.

Is that a government responsibility or is that personal responsibility?

I would venture to add that without polygamy and the subsequent poverty as a result, there would be no Boko Haram.

What of the ignorant religious leaders who advise their flock to go forth and multiply knowing that many in their congregation struggle to take care of themselves?

My thoughts tho
Unfortunately for Nigeria that great man has gone onto bigger and better things with the African Development Bank.

Fortunately for the nation Nigeria has many brilliant minds, it's just a questions of finding them and placing them in the positions in which their ability can shine.

Science/Technology › Yahoo Hacked - Another Adobe Flash Exploit by mmsen(op): 5:07pm On Aug 06, 2015
http://afritechnet..com/2015/08/yahoo-and-menace-that-is-adobe-flash.html

Yahoo Hacked - Another Adobe Flash Exploit

One of the web's most popular email providers has been exploited as a result of one of the web's most insecure applications, Adobe Flash. Mozilla has recently disabled flash by default in its Firefox browser. YouTube has been gradually moving away from Adobe's creation and portable Apple devices as well as Blackberry products do not play nicely with Flash, at all. These are all examples of the growing acceptance that Flash has outlived its need, a realization that HTLM5 renders Flash unnecessary.

Flash has long been seen as resource hungry and unstable, with the word insecure initially penciled in - it should by now be added to the narrative in red ink. Ever since Steve Job's 2009 letter discrediting Adobe's Flash, the 'middleware' has been on a slow downward spiral. From being the preferred means of sharing media on websites in 2009 to its current rate of occurrence of 10.4% in 2015 (courtesy of W3Techs).

YAHOO is one of the most popular search engines and email service providers. Their popularity could be taken as a sign that they are one of the most trusted internet outfits in operation. The company, headquartered in California, possesses the fourth most visited website globally, as per SimilarWeb stats. The Seven billion visitors per month make YAHOO an attractive prospect for advertisers and hackers alike.

With those numbers in mind it should not surprise anyone to hear that hackers have invested in advertising across YAHOO's many subcategories, including the popular sports, news and finance sections. Here, they are alleged to have set up advertising campaigns that inadvertently installed malware code onto Windows machines with old versions of Adobe Flash. The hackers took advantage of their ability to remotely control hardware by requesting ransom payments from compromised users. In other cases hackers added the compromised hardware to their botnets in order to rack up fraudulent traffic and thus financially benefit from their advertising campaigns.

If you have open channels of communication with your child from day one then you will find it easier to emphasize with them. Sadly, a lot of Nigerian parents fail to see their own children as human beings.

The only 'rebellious' child is one that is going out of its own way to sabotage him/herself.

Beating a child is dumb parenting.
