Great post - I'm amazed at how dishonest/forgetful a lot of people are.

The same Buhari who said that BH should be granted amnesty; that to attack them would be to attack the north; later promised to eradicate them within two months of his election, a date since passed.

Why don't they apologize for their failure to accept sensible cultural practices - that is the real reason for Boko Haram.

Stop marrying children.

Stop denying your girls an education.

Stop abandoning your parental responsibility by leaving children to beg on the street.

A man-made sea port is expensive and unnecessary to a Federal Government that already has natural sea ports at several points on the coastline. It's like a man who has a girlfriend with natural long hair; and then another girlfriend with a bald head continues to bother him to buy her Brazilian hair. huh You think he will have time for the bald head? Na the bald head go use her money buy Brazilian hair if she want hair.
Nigeria does not have enough ports - a country the size of Nigeria needs many hence the Ibaka seaport in the pipeline, as well as the new port due to be built in Cross River.

Whatever makes commerce easier should be welcomed - that is the role of government, to create an enabling environment for trade.

LOL. Your logic is impressive. How else can you be disdainful of those relying on Federal welfare and want Federal support in dredging a river so that you can have a man-made "sea-port"; in the same sentence? Impressive.
Do they get to keep the majority that they generate?

Ports are still under the control of the federal government. If the central government reaps the majority proceeds then the central government should pay for it to built - unles you are advocating fiscal federalism and greater state powers then I don't get what point you are arguing.

I keep telling my people, jonathan is the worst thing to have hit the igboland since after the civil war!

The loses we incurred bc of the jonathan is much more than the loses we incurred during the civil war!

After taking us back 30 years bc of our support for him, his people have now moved on leaving us behind and worst is, they have taken our blessings along with them! Now they are gaining political appointments that should av been rightly ours!

His people hav even started warning us to keep them out our stvpid quest for Biafra! cheesy

NDI IGBO ITS TIME WE OPEN OUR EYESoooo!
Jonathan was trying to move the country towards federalism in the truest sense. That would have benefitted those that wish to improve themselves.

Sadly those that have always stood in the way of progress did so again - they are happy existing on federal welfare.
Science/Technology › How Hackers Target Families by mmsen(op):
http://afritechnet..com/2015/08/how-hackers-target-families.html

Hackers are using children to infect family computers, tablets and smartphones by way of gaming websites. The websites are usually established as legitimate enterprises, an avenue for children to wile away their free time at home or on the move, adorned with friendly looking cartoon characters and the promise of fun filled hours.

Young children are naturally drawn to big, brightly colored buttons - hackers are likely to use this as a ploy to initiate the downloading of a virus. The promise of something for nothing, a common promise that entices the best of us, is another tactic used - 'free games' that are not free is tried and tested means of trapping young internet users into downloading malware.

Online gaming, by its very nature, requires a lot of clicking, more so than regular browsing. The opportunities for cybercriminals to insert nefarious links into innocent looking webpages abound. Hackers frequently take advantage of javascript vulnerabilities to install infections and induce unwitting users to download unwanted malicious software. Users are advised to be wary of any gaming website that redirects to linuxstabs.com - a favorite haunt for those looking to spread malware.

An Avast study released in 2012 claimed that the majority of affected sites had fallen victim to hackers and were not established to spread malware. When contacted, some sites shifted the blame for the malware to third party links.

Parents should ensure that all hardware has up to date anti-virus software; that all operating systems are up to date and that any security patches have been installed.

Igbo land will be great again, but only if we galvanize as a people this coming 4 years, let us choose a leader and breed him to take us to the promised land,

if government doesnt. uild a seaport for us cant we the south eastern states band together and build one?

let us stop crying for government and do somethings ourselves because no other person gives a Bleep about us

listen, all those countries you mentioned are run by caucasians. the only country in africa not directly run by caucasians is nigeria and thats because its just too many people in there for any caucasian to control. and that is the reason why nigeria is the most dis-organized country in africa. before independence when caucasians ruled us with an iron fist the country was organized. when they left anarchy started. case closed. only iron fist works. nigerians are a very braggadocios and bellicose and loquacious and pugnacious people. this type of people need to be controlled with the whip. nothing else will work
That's the dumbest statement I've heard in years.

Nigeria is the most disorganized but Africa's largest economy?

You sound like someone in need of serious psychological help. I wish I was joking but it's clear that you cannot reason, cannot stick to the truth and have deep seated issues.
Politics › Re: Before The Honeymoon Ends In Divorce, Simon Kolawole Warns Buhari by mmsen:

you are a fool. let me help you see the light. democracy works in namibia and botswana because a huge number of their population are caucasians. same with bahamas bermuda, trinidad and tobago. those countries have a caucasian clampdown. and you know caucasians bring law and order. you think the caucasians who brought law and order into those countries didnt use extreme violence to frighten them and use a few people as examples ? then the rest of the black population out of fear learnt to be civilized, which is why i say black people only respond to violence
Botswana does not have a huge Caucasian population, nor do any of those other nations besides Bermuda which is a British colony.

Russia has a huge Caucasian population too, likewise Ukraine yet those two nations are in chaos - what happened to this democracy that you say comes with Caucasians? Why is there no democracy in Belarus? Why does corruption thrive in Serbia, Kosovo, Albania, Croatia, Poland and numerous other European nations if what you say is true? Why would so many Europeans leave Europe for north America, south America, south Africa and Australia - you think they left because Europe is a paradise?

The problem Nigeria has is one portion of the country is not willing to embrace democratic ideals or the customs that would allow democracy (or free trade) to thrive. They are happy in their backwardness, they think that every situation can be solved with violence hence their propensity for senseless rioting - when someone makes a comment about a beauty pageant, they riot; someone draws a 'blasphemous' cartoon in another country - they riot; their candidate of choice loses an election - they riot.

I thank you for your responses. People like you keep providing ammunition as to why one portion of Nigeria needs to be banished from the union instead of being left to pull the more developed and progressive parts of the country by the ankles.

When there is free trade, open commerce and free exchange of ideas then there is life - those are tools which can be used to coerce and encourage. Sadly it is people such as yourself who cannot see that - hence why everything with people like you is about violence.

democracy only works in civilized nations. in nigeria, only dictatorship will work. i am in full support of buhari bringing back dictatorship. black people only respond to violence. its sad but its the truth. look at GEJ ? a weak man , everyone around him perceived his weakness and used that opportunity to rob the country blind knowing he was a weak man and would do nothing. see ? black people are the type of people if you give an inch they would take a mile. only dictatorship will work in nigeria. a person who is feared like idiagbon.
If what you say is true then why does democracy work in Botswana? Namibia?

Why does Ghana not have the same issues as northern Nigeria? Why does democracy thrive in states like Lagos and Cross River?

Why is democracy thriving in the Bahamas? Bermuda? Trinidad and Tobago?

You are the one calling for journalists to be imprisoned for daring to ask questions, offer opinions and state verifiable facts. Why don't you tell the truth and admit that you are a problem unto yourself. It is not 'black people' but unintelligent people who think like you.

People like you are the problem - do not lump all black people in with your stupid way of thinking. Speak for yourself - you are not ready for civilized life. You are not able to reason. You are not willing to work to build a better society hence why you wish to defer to a military a dictator. People like you are the greatest burden unto Nigeria.

We have always had atheists in society.

In the past those that asked too many questions, had doubts and challenged the religious authorities were ostracized, demonized and killed by the ignorant majority.

Thankfully those days are over in many parts of the world but there are still pockets of absolute stupidity - Pakistan, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and northern Nigeria are some such examples.

Why do such people fear knowledge? Why do they fear inquisition?

Come to think of it... The SEX OFFENDER list works great all over the world..

By the time you are unemployable and stigmatize for your past deeds... Then any other person will avoid it..

Create a Web database of it..

Your landlord check it before renting out a house...

Employers check it.. Etc

Living hell of a life for a sex offender tongue
Sex offenders lists don't act as a deterrent, at all. Some people are very disturbed mentally and will take any opportunity to abuse others, children especially.

It's good if the authorities have a list but only if there are sanctions that are followed up.

The other problem is that many people in Nigeria are careless with their children - they need to be a lot more vigilant. Why do strange people have access to their children? Why are the parents not around? Why are so many people having children that they cannot care for? Sadly it is often the parents who are the indirect facilitators of abuse by way of their neglect.

P.S.
In some countries peeing in public can land you on the sex offenders register - imagine how many people in Lagos would be 'sex offenders' by that criteria.

How do religious organizations keep people in check?

Are these not the same people going for 'deliverance' because they can't stop fornicating/adultery.

Are these people not visiting their pastors trying to salvage their marriages because of abuse and infidelity?

Religious people are the majority in Nigeria yet look at the problem we have with employee theft in both the private and public sector.

What have religious groups done to stop the violence in the north? Is not their religion that sanctions mass murder?

I ask you plainly - how do these religious groups keep people in check? How can they when they exist to peddle lies and mythology?

So if everybody is afraid of buhari, why do we still have oil bunkering going on today?...and boko haram still roaring?...and Halliburton scandal thieves dancing around?...
It's not hatred for Jonathan, it's hatred for rational thought that has people claiming that a man who has barely remained in Nigeria for five minutes; a man who has refused to choose his ministers has brought about 'change'.

The only change has been in the rate of BH killing; the depreciation of the naira; and the falling stock exchange index - a reflection that investors are annoyed at Buhari's lack of preparation for the position that he campaigned for for so many years.
