Instead of the federal government coming after our chicken change with taxes, they should focus on the e-commerce giants, tech giants e.g interswitch.

As a matter of fact any huge company making a killing profit in Nigeria to become quoted on the NSE the same way
Awolowo, Azikiwe and Bello did to similar companies after our independence

But will they do that, no. They are coming after our coins undecided

Why are NGX Group(NSE) shares listed on NASD instead of the NSE.?

Speaks volumes about where their focus is
Still chasing foreign money instead of focusing on building the economy.

The whole world celebrated Jumia on the NYSE but Jumia debut in Africa and had its greatest success in Nigeria and yet left Africans unable to invest by going to the NYSE

So this is really not that far fetched undecided

Guys, which stockbrokers allow me to trade on margin? Because I am tired of only 1% ~0.5% per day while I pay 1% commission.

Talk to Meristem
They were still doing it as at 2014 because I know they did it for a friend.

Also when I asked for shorting in 2019 their response was that if I mean marginal lending it’s available.

So they may still be doing it. Who knows undecided

Only one thing can justify this

That’s if NSE previous domain and accounts was hacked/ or over come with ransom-wear and they couldn’t find a way to recover it

Just hope no matter what justification they have it doesn’t affect market prices undecided

You don't get it.If I buy gtb at #33.And I get my dividend after mark down. And gtb dropss further from #30 to #28.If I don't sell, I don't think I have made a loss. That stock goes down and goes up is normal. As long as I have not sold is no loss to me since I know it will still go north. So why will I wait to buy at your assumed perfect price when is my money as long as the company has all the right fundamentals

Oh my goodness undecided
Am done for this week
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by moneymanager: 7:24pm On Apr 08, 2021
If I were a bad actor, I won’t talk when people tell others to buy at a high price

GTB has lost 13% from three weeks ago when some people here advised others to buy and I shouted that they shouldn’t.

So now compare the dividend GTB returned vs the loss those who jumped in based on the advice are now in

You can criticize me all you want. I can take it
Truth remains two gurus in this group recommended a buy three weeks ago and I said peeps shouldn’t do it

If that makes me a bad guy so be it
The fact that I left their names out of my mouth says a lot by itself undecided

It was always obvious the direction these stocks were gonna go once dividends had fully been paid.

To the gurus in the group I appreciate what you are doing however when I see mistakes I will always talk so that we can all learn as a group

We argue to improve and that’s why I don’t insult anyone only passionately express my opinion
I am here to learn and add value is all

If dividend gives you 12% and the stock loses 11% till end of year. Your profit is 1%

Yes it can rise the next year but in the mean time you are also stuck with tied up cash undecided

It’s said that 10% returns by a fund manager in the USA annually is a good profit.
By that standard anything upper and an investor should be happy.

I believe patience is key. You can jump in for dividend and make 12% each for two years or miss one year, enter at a good entry point and with dividends and stock price appreciation get about 25-30% which beats the first approach

Patience is key in the market. Yes we just jump but look before you leap
Don’t let get rich quick or success of others push you. Have a plan and stick to it. undecided

Meristem is top 5 investment house in Nigeria. Their customer service is top notch and their services are quite cool. Early last year when the bonds and fox deposit was low Meristem was still giving 7% fix deposits with them
If I leave Meristem it must be for one of the top 4 investment houses and not otherwise

How do you send your signature to the Registrars.

Thank you

There is also one process where you get your signature from your bank head office branch. I think it’s signature verification something but am not too sure of the name. You bank verifies your signature and then you can show it to the registers or NSE as the case requires undecided
