well it can make a lady feel a bit inferior but other people do allow it to happen . They make it work for them. I do not know how they protect themselves from aids though. I do not wana talk about religion , culture and law as to me it seems as if people use these for their own selfish reasons then go and break the rules again when it suits them. I just think its just a matter of all the parties involved agreeing or disagreein with it as we all differ

funny enough the girl's parents are always okay but the boy's family are a nightmare. its hard to please them or sometimes even get them to like u. If u choose to go ahead and marry your partner even if your parents do not aprove you might regret it some day as maybe things would go wrong , sometimes not even because they warned u but jst because they wer just bound to go wrong and they will start blaming u and remindin u of how they warned u bla bla bla but i am a sucker for romance and blv only u have the right to choose who u wana spend the rest of your life with. No one said marriage was easy so u r bound to get some problems but just stand together and face them head on and never ever feel as if u brought it down on yourselves just bcoz momma didn't like her after all u r the one whose gona spend your life with this person not momma right? One thing i will say is no matter what parents say JUST TAKE TIME TO KNOW YOUR PARTNER coz even the one your parents love may not be a saint

I think its because ladies are emotional beings and also like judging each other and always wanting to be better than the other. It takes a lot for a lady to just be humble and not let such things affect her but hun even they have to fight the urge very hard but secretly in their hearts there is something nasty they are saying about the other girl

maybe its because some people r just scared of openly hurting others. I don't know what to say to this but guys also sometimes have bad ways of ending relationships. sometimes more hurtful like just stringing u along then u find out that tomorrow he is marrying someone else. Its just how life is. I have also noticed that the very same heart breaker feels like dying when she now sees the guy with a new lady especially if the lady is better than her

tough one as u gona have to work extra hard to try and build a good relationship with the child. Bcoz he is not yours he might hate u at first or the mother might try use the child to make your relationship miserable. if u love him just be strong sugar and try by almeans to be a gud stepmom coz its a really tough job

lostgirl85: I am not Nigerian so in we actually talked about how different our cultures were in the dating part of our relationship. Long story short, he made it know that he doesn't just introduce any woman to his mother only 1 woman has met her before. He also said that if I meet his mum the marriage is not too far ahead and he will want our family's to meet. I was just looking for a generalisation of when that would be because where I come from is so small that if a date a man and tell my mum his last name her or my dad know their parents. So it's not a big deal to meat a mans mother. But thanks anyway for your input

POSTER i think your thread is aimed at girls who have not experienced life as per your last point and the rest yah. If a woman has already had her fun in life and all the experience , the last thing u need is an arrogant fool. i personally like guys who r humble and nice and i value such people even though most of the time a person would be taken for granted but a real woman knows that a guy like that is for keeps. The points u listed here would maybe be fine for someone who still wants to explore or who meets immature ladies. BLV me honey a lady who has experience would kill for the type of guys u listed here. i dont think its a good idea to mix such things in a relationship or even marriage for that matter. if we have a joint account which we both use and know its ins and outs yah that great but as for his own personal account or mine maybe . its a no no no i do not want to know how much he has or spends and i am not expecting him to nag me about my own also. this is the reason most relationships go through hell. if u keep finance out of your relation u r bound to have a healthy relation.
