I am glad people are begining to see who the common enemy is. There has never been a greater need to break the strangle hold PDP has on that country, whether you like it or not, all roads lead to PDP. If all these allegations are true, well the common factor is that they all belong to one club. Listen guys, we all have a big choice to make come 2011, we must see past our sentimental stranglehold and use our heads. We need people who are bold and brave enough to challenge the status quo, and Oga is not that person. We have options albeit not perfect, but options that I stronly believe can make change. I am from the ND region, but also from Nigeria, and I would never be in support of violence against a people, Never. The ND region has suffered untold hardship for so long that we need a true lasting solution |
Listen, same guys said that unemployment in Nigeria was @ about 20%, well he should have gone to the recent NDLEA recruitment in PH to get a better feel |
@Mikeansy, You have said it all. I am from the ND region and I am not convinced that Oga is doing a good job. Far from it, he has allowed sentiments to cloud his judgement, that is if he had a good sense of judgement in the first place. To be honest, these boys have got him by the balls, and they are going to squeeze him until he shouts Boyloaf for VP |
@Mikeansy, Failure of leadership. The present leadership is too weak and directionless. Nigerians, and ND people now have an opportunity to assess this government and ensure they are kicked out come 2011 |
@Beaf, I wont even honour you with an answer, if you dont get my point |
@Beaf, When I critisized GEJ on certain policies and how me has conducted his affairs since getting into office, you accused me of hating Ijaw people. I tried to explain to you, that I am from the ND region, and I refuse to accept that GEJ is the best we can produce from that region, and I still stand by that point. Now if you are not from Ijaw land, can you please confirm where you are from, because I struggle to see how you can understand the real issues if you are not from that region. Beside I think more importantly the way your Oga has handled things has not been the best, and I think you would do him better service by accepting the truth. Listen my bro, Oga does not have the understanding to deal with this issue, and besides he is trapped in a sentimental ring. |
@Beaf, Sorry, but I am begining to get very confused where you stand on this whole issue. And by the way, thanks for letting us know you are not an Ijawman. You have often accused me of being an Ijaw hater when I speak the truth. |
Even robbers have spokes people. Shame on Eluemunor |
Sorry oh, but what is the difference betweeon all the candidates? I think it would be helpful for people to state clearly why they think candidate A is better or more suited to the top ticket than cadidate B, C, D. and please emotions apart, state clear and varifyable reasons. |
@Beaf, No I have never been a member of the Peoples Destruction Party of Nigeria, how can i belong to a party that stands for nothing more the wanton thievery, thuggery, high an low level election malpractice. the lst is endless. It is not personal, but a deep desire for good change that will affect everyone (including you), positively. they have shown for the last 11yrs that they are not capable, so I doubt how anyone can ever find a white shirt in a pile of shiet |
@EzeUche0, It amazes me that we as a people cant seem to do the right thing. Just like you said a lot of this was not said or mentioned till I got older, then i started hearing the horror stories of what happend in Asaba. oh it was bad. The Nigerian soldier raped and killed mothers and daughters. they did extremely wicked things to fellow human beings, on imaginable things. and yet the nigerians government fails the recognise the impotance of a rememberance. There is so much which is so wrong in our society, yet people say nigeria is one |
The truth needs to come out for wounds to heal. I have asked this question recently, that why do we not remember the civil war. It is part of our history, and people need to be reminded of what happend |
Is this really necessary, or should Nigerians be concetration on voting out PDP, as they remain the symbol of the devil. These sort of polls are highly unecessary, but goes to show Our Political Laziness. I maintain that Nigerians get the leaders they Deserve, they as just as guilty as the thieving president or governor, when they see wrong but choose to do nothing |
Tough talk. Hard to execute against his own people. See the interests are conflicting for GEJ. Whilst his spirit might urge him to do good, his body insists he must continue with the bad guys. I am hoping that all this nonsense will give Nigerians a clear indication where they should cast thier votes, that is if you trust Nigerians to do the right thing |
he should have tried PDP, I am sure he would have succeeded, after all Oga is notorious for accepting and backing known criminals |
@Gbawe, You know when I hear people like you speak, I cling on to that hope. When I was a little kid, I remembered the Umaru Dikko saga. One mad the stole 4BN which was equivalent to $4Bn at that time. The guy ran to the UK chilled for a fews years, and returned a hero, even contest for senate and won. That day, I lost all faith in Nigeria as a country. It is no different today, and I feel so bad that our people still cannot recognise trickery even after 50yrs of deception. And I have always had my doubts about GEJ. What I dont is why our people feel so powerless to seek the truth |
@firemelon, really? The president of Nigeria has every right to work with a disgraced electorial fraudster? tell you a lot about our country. Nice comment, well done. No wonder we are dubbed the fraud capital of the world. Even our president works with electoral cheats. |
@babasoty, I see where you are coming from, and you do have a point, but there is a good case for an inquiry, especially when someone can easily fraudulently take hold of an office for 3years with impunity. This must never be allowed to happen again. I am afraid the president cannot stay out of this. Especially as we have major elections next year and there is ample possibility for this kind of thing to happen again |
@babasoty, i think you miss my point. Do you think that GEJ should be concerned that a someone occupied such an important position for 3 yrs fraudulently. A right thinking leader would immediately order an investigation, account will need to be audited, a lot of questions to be asked, but I dont see that happening. If GEJ wants us to believe that there will be a free and fair election come 2011, he must tackle these issues. So I dont blame him, but there is a great need for him to act, in the interest of a free and fair election |
Well if that is the case, we all know what to expect come 2011 |
The other one was resisting arrest. Very funny, make them finish dem selves |
@Mikeansy, We are saying the same thing, but my point remains that if the was dishonesty, and some would suggest criminality, then the Law has to come in. No one can tell me we do not have a law against Fraud? There is a big case to be taken to the criminal court, also, there is no way INEC can allow someone found so wanting to stand, if they do, INEC as a body has lost all credibility, and cannot suggest that is can hold a free and fair election, void of mago-mago. See, people this is going to be a true test of the coming elections in 2011, also it is going to be a very good opportunity for Nigerians to realise that with PDP, nothing has changed. |
@Babastoy, The case was acutally dismissed because he used false information during his election campaign which some suggest might have influenced the out come. He was not actually kicked out for defirmation of character charges. It is not different from our case, in that Uduaghan and Ibori used false and fraudulent means to gain entrance to govenment house. There was no election in Delta state. the elections were highly questionable, and the fact that Uduaghan knowingly and fraudulently took oath of office deceptively in my opinion there is a good case against. I think 1: he must be barred 2: The state finances must be auditted and soon as possible |
@Mikeansy, But these are the stark choices Nigerians have to make. I have often argued here that change does not come from passive politics, Nigerians cannot be politically lazy and expect the change the so depesperately seek to fall from the sky, we need to get up, feel part of it and get involved. Any right thinking Deltan would have felt insensed at the way Ibori and his brother ran affairs in the last 11yrs, it has been shear horror. If PDP chooses to continue on this path, then Delta state citizens have an excellent opportunity to throw them out, and make a clear case that it will not be business as usual |
@Mikeansy, Thanks you very much my brother. We Nigerians continue to be the biggest problem our country faces. There is no way that Uduaghan should be allowed to walk around freely after occupying such and important post fraudulently. The Courts have said his election was a fraud. My prayer is that Nigerians now have a wonderful opportunity to set the scene for 2011. We must not take this lying down. Ibori and his brother have deceived the good people of Delta, and we now have an excellent opportunity (with imunity gone), to sqaure up to Uduaghan. Oga GEJ should really be distancing himself from this bad smell |
@babasoty, What are you saying. Did the courts not find that there was no election in Delta state. Was it not a proven case that Uduaghan and Ibori cheated thier way to governement house? what can be more shameful than that. Listen we all have to stop this unhelpful habit of putting gloss over a very bad thing. Uduaghan had not legitimate right to be in governemt house. Now my worry is that he has unlawfully held that position for years, giving him access to unprecedented amount of state funds, which if an audit is properly carried out will find unbeliveable corruption. The state accounts must be audited, and I will be pushing hard for that |
