Whilst I am no support of GEJ. Adamu should go and rest. He has hung around politics like a bad smell, and it is time he find any honour left and go and rest. |
I think we should be more concerned about his thought process and his ability to make sound judgment. Is it not this same guy who picked a known junkie as his deputy governor and subsequently handed power over to him? Now what does that say about the man himself, sacrificing his own people for the top job |
@wesley80, I passed tha road in 2006, it was that bad, 2007, eben worse, 2008 unbelievable, but guess what, that is probably the most important road in the whole country and it has been that bad for close to 5yrs. This is why, nigerians really have a stack choice come this election, they must use thier heads to pick somene who has a clue. this is just a very visual representation of the state of nigeria. The Hospitals are not better, what about the schools |
Na wah. This road sef, and NASS members dey share money, I think unsa see trouble. We have roads like this in Nigeria, and those bastards want to continue sharing money |
@Wesley80 Sorry oh, but how to do work out that PDP and the other parties represent the same? I really would like to know how you arrived at that conclusion. I am not a PDP party member, but I can say this for certain, the only Power at PDP's disposal is the power to fleece Nigeria dry, and they have been doing that for years. Also I would reaaly be helpful if you GEJ backers can give us concrete solid evidence that he is the best candidates for Nigeria. I keep saying that Nigerians must quickly divorce themselves from continously enjoying scraps. |
Let us find a way to purnish corrupt leaders first. In my opinion that is a more pressing problem, with journalist, you can disregard them of class the paper as junk. Corrupt politicians first |
@ wesley80, Would you have back GEJ if he belonged to another party? Should we all join PDP if we want to win, even when that party stands for nothing but theft. Listen, people like you are the reason we as a country as where we are today, born Politically lazy. You think freedom is a gift, never prepared to fight for what is right. Can any normal thinking person really think that GEJ would be effective in a party that is predominantly ladened with monumental failures and thieves, there ia an obvious conflict of interest. GEJ no matter how saintly you might find him cannot be effective in PDP. The truth is that to have an effective democracy, we need a credible opposition. PDP has been raping and killing people in the cuntry for far too long, and they must be stopped |
@Rebranded The sad part is the new generation of Nigerians are not aware of their rights!, maybe because the country has experienced more time in a military setting than a civilian one (We are used to not having a say and allow dictatorship). We need to wake up before these politicians ruin the Country. The Governors wasted the ECA in my opinion! My Bro, our people do not realise that they have the right to demand to know what has been done with thier money, and better still demand more. There are too meek, it is unbelieveable, Look at my state (Delta), for one. Ibori was given in excess of 500BN naira over the course of his rule, now visit the state and see what he has done, absolutely nothing, and when i challenge it, I am quickly reminded that he tarred a few roads, after all Lucky Igbinedion did nothing. We must challlenge our leaders, take them to task. Let them know that they are public servants, not kings. |
Nice. |
Did we not see this coming with Sani Yerima?. This is potentially going to be a big problem. We must have a clear directive on which is the highest court in the Land |
@Mikeansy, I agree with you, we must work together to esstablish a credible opposition |
Tom Dessy and Ben Lessy? Una do come again |
@rebranded, I have often argued that, here. I cannot understand why in 2010 people are not prepared to hold thier state governors to account. We are a politically lazy society. We want freedom for free. |
@nateevs, Apologies, I was reacting to her first post. It must have been in the 2nd or 3rd post she mentioned the beatings. I wont stand for beatings in a marriage, it is one of those things I have never understood, and caution both men and women against, but we must be careful not to hastely judge. However most of my comments stand. Marriage is not easy, infact anyone who thinks marriage is easy, is indeed not ready for the long walk. And yes I believe in prayers in marriage, it works, it is the life blood of any successful marriage. Well, for the husband, I cannot advise, he needs to realise his faults and seek help |
@ afam4eva, Why do you think so? |
Una see am. Visionless leader, same person who handed over power to a know druggies in hos own state. Total laspe of judgement. |
Well, it is about time. Please when those youths are finished they can go an stone my own thieving Delta state governor. The whole country is littered with Thieves. PDP has really failed the country, but make una no vex, did GEJ not know that Timi na drugies before he handed over? Another lapse in Judgement |
Contrary to suggestions that Ribadu is not experienced enough. May I remind Nigerians what the so called experienced politicians have done to our country. For one this is good news, but I hope it has not come too late. What i will like to see is a Ribadu / Utomi ticket or vice versa. I believe this will be a winning team that is likely to deliver the sort of change and programmes Nigeria needs. Nigerians must remember that is it time to vote for change, let us stop being politically lazy and really maximise our options. We must not let PDP remain in power. they have destroyed that country, and I am convinced that a Vote for PDP is a vote for same old rubbish. We now have a chance to change the course of our country, this is no time to be lazy and siddon look. Freedom is not gained from sitting on our backsides, but from engaging in programmes that will bring about change. Nigerian must wake from thier slumber. No one (not even GEJ), can do it for us. |
@ itsmyeila Why did your brothers not tell you before you married your ex-wife. In your situation you own brothers were not looking out for you |
@myhome10, Really sorry to hear that less than 1 yr into marriage you guys are having troubles like this, but take it easy, all might not be lost. Some of the things you need to know are 1: Marriage is not something you can walk away from that easyly. I always advise people to see that as the the last resort. Infact if you are a christian, the bible cautions against it, except were there has been maritial unfaithfulness (Proven) 2: Marriage is not easy. It requires a lot of investment in time and effort. I often argue that if one leaves, you are not sure you will get a better deal at the other end, so stick it out. there are always benefits for fighting hard for your marriage. 3: Be careful what advise you listen to. find a trusted family member or friend, probably one wih a long standing marriage as seek constructive advice. Now if you ask me, I would say, stop probing for now. Just him come back home first. Don’t trouble him, make sure his food is ready and the home is in a good state, you carry on as usual (I know it would be difficult). Give it some time, when the dust has settled, probably a month or 2 down the line, you can then open up to him. There is no point in second guessing what the problem is. It could be a multitude of things. But one thing is certain, Please pray and keep your part of your marriage commitment. God is faithful and will reveal all when the time is right, especially when you have not done wrong. I know he will restore your marriage especially if he thinks it is the best for you. Remember, there are challenges is every marriage, the best marriages are those which have stood the test of time. |
Usual senseless boasting that characterises the typical nigerian |
While I dont side with Mr Sugar on this and never will, I better remind us Nigerians that our reputation goes before us. Whether we like it or not we dont help ourselves. This is from the immense damage 419, corruption, bad leadership has done to us, and Nigeria as a country has not doesn anything to repair that damage. |
See people the discuss in Nigeria should be what other options do we have. PDP has destroyed our dear country, and I would like them to remain in power. Let's all leave tribe and sentiments aside and choose something different for once. Why are we not considering Ribadu, whats wrong with Pat Utomi. We must try something different, we must all be active and change the face of politics for the good of our children. Please let it not be business as usual |
@Na so Just shut up. He should forget his ambition because you think Gusau, Ibb OR Atiku will do the country any good? Whilst I do not believe the other candidates are deserving, why do you think that a vote for PDP means progress. This is what i dont get, what about other parties with extremely decent , better qualified candidates? Should the argument not be, since PDP has failed us , shouldnt we be looking at other parties. this is what happens in other progressive democracies, but in Nigeria we have to be different, we believe in sticking with the same ole Sheet, even after 12yrs of woeful failure. Nigerians are really politically lazy, and must wake up. Freedom is not free, you earn it. and quite honestly, since we are not prepared to do the hard work, we dont deserve it. We get the leaders we deserve, as Warri man go say "No food for lazy man" |
Why cant we have decent arguments without resorting to personal insults? |
When all this initially broke, I strongly critisized GEJ for not taking a frim grip on the situation. Infact he jetted off with 120 delegates to the UN for avoidable fanfare, now we are at it again. I am sorry, but the buck stops at the President whether we like it or not. He need to leanr how to make decisive clear and string decisions, and I am afraid he is not that sort of person. Nigerians must open thier eyes and choose well. We cannot afford another 4yrs of mis-rule, they dont suffer , but you and I do. I want good governances for all parts of our country, and PDP (Peoples destruction Party) cannot deliver us. Please vote for change. I am tried of reading terrible stories that affect the average Nigerian, if it is not murder, it is corruption, Kidnap, Terrorism. |
@mikeansy, I have since stopped arguing with certain people here, they will eventually force you to sheet a brick. I am convinced that is it this sort of blind loyalty that has kept us as a nation where we are. These days I just sit and watch |
If only some people can accept that their master Phucked up, maybe they can start to claim back some credibility for him. Right now they are even mocking him the more by making nursery level excuses. |
@mikeansy, I beg help me tell them, cos I will soon be accused as usual of tribe hating |
@marvix, I beg no vex, I no go school like you, but I am not blindly licking Oga's Nyash, even when the world knows he doesnt have a frigging clue. This is what happens when we let sentiments rule us rather than common sense, but like my teacher in primary 3 used to say common sense cannot be bought even with 3kobo |
We are wating Ibori's arrival. The Ogreedygbodigbo 1 of Africa, as you dey look am na so e dey enter Prison. @Sagamite, I beg my bros no vex, I don gather bag of rotten tomatoes wey we go use stone am when e come London. I done buy ticket sef. The man was arguably the Biggest Thief in Africa, probably worse than Mobutu |
@marvix, Is that right? and you believe this stuff you are saying? Wonderful |
