and move where??
Sorry maybe my comprehension skills is crap but was any solutions apart from the quit notice giving??
People just like to talk out of their asses with no alternatives whatsoever.
That was how Lai Mohammed was talking out of his ass too.
The Nigerian kind of governance baffles me sometimes. Its that simple, laid the framework via laws and infrastructure
and let the citizens utilize it.
Nope.... All they want is to chop. Even that ambode, you think hes not chopping too??

Celebrities › Re: Programme To Be Consumed By Nigerians Must Be Produced In Nigeria - Lai Mohammed by moonraker(m): 6:26am On Jul 20, 2017 |
greenpasture: It seems many commentators do not understand the import of the statement by the minister. 1. You can produce your movies and shows abroad if you like 2. Such will not be classified as a nigerian movie 3. Such will compete for foreign production slotsbon cable and local channels.
The move will create an opportunity for nigerians to invest in movie infrastructure. History shows that Nigerians are quick to bridge such gaps.
The statement leaves open the possibility of shooting scenes outside the country if the final production/mix is done onshore.
What the movie industry should be seeking clarification is on the interpretation of what " production" means. The minister on his part could have provided information on the fx outflow to allow the nigerian people understand the opportunity cost of foreign production.
We need to avoid knee jerk responses. Noted. Unfortunately, its a guessing game right now. I guess we have to interpret the laws by ourselves then? |

seyewest: Normally I prefer you send me PM so I can send you the link but so as to help others.... This is what you will do.. it's a bit expensive flying from JFK and from what I've seen any flight from New york to Miami international is very expensive. What I did was to look for the nearest airport to Miami which is Fort Lauderdale International, FL (FLL) and it's just 20 mins ride to Center of Miami so after some search I was able to connect EWR (New Jersey) to Fort Lauderdale International, FL (FLL) direct fly for less $125 per passenger for a return ticket. So go to online and book it that way if not PM for the link. Newark is quite far from JFK, no?? |

valeria: Thanks to everyone for your immense help and responses.
We (spouse, kid and I) will be travelling to the U.S next month and it's our first visit to America.
Our application stated Miami as destination but tickets are so expensive this summer that we decided to book a flight to New York and intend to get a domestic flight from JFK to Miami the following morning. We have booked a night stay at a hotel close to JFK and another 14 nights stay at the Miami hotel.
I am a bit worried now because we have a contact in New York (also stated in our application) and it may sound like we are changing our destination because we have someone in New York to accommodate us.
The domestic flights seen online are costly and we hope to get cheaper options when we go to the local airport the following day.
Is there something we should be worried about?
Thanks in anticipation As long as your story stacks up, you should be fine. The bolded is what i dont get and it might backfire on you. I highly suggest you buy your domestic tickets before you leave Nigeria. That way, even if the POE officer doubts your story, your domestic tickets would bail you out. Hope you understand what i am trying to say. |

Me Ntel troll? This is very unfair, and i wee not take eeet. Everyone here knows that i'm Ntel's biggest fan and stan(minus ley08) *coughs*
Even Ntel staff here will testify to how i'm their bestest customer of the year.
Anyways, the scam of the outdoor GSM antenna has been upon us since the days of Methuselah. having tried several, including those sold by Swift, Spectranet and some random brands from the market, i verily saith unto thee that they simply do not work.
Just install LTE Discovery or any other similar app that can enable you see the signal level on your android phone with NTEL sim in it (some custom roms allow you to switch the signal bar to dBm text too) and walk round your house looking at the signal level.
the place with the lowest dBm is where the signal is strongest, put your desktop modem there. Daz all
and if in your place you are unable to get anything lower than 90dBm, the signal level is too weak to be of any reasonable use to you tbh. And thus, the difference between a oldtimers response and someone who comes on here guns blazing... Thank you very much dear Sir. |

oyb: i use both indoor and mobile devices
at home, i use a TP link TL-MR6400 modem [desktop modem] on the road, i use a huawei mifi modem
recommendation depends on use
i live in a storey building, and i was having challenges sharing data between devices. the mifi's network was not powerful enough, nd it could not be connected to a router. so i got a desktop modem, connected same to router and now i have full network coverage.
if you plan on using it at home, get the desktop modem
if however, you plan on being on the road, then you need the mobile one.
best advice would be for you to get the sim and buy any modem of your choice. [not sure they make sales like that]
the modems most of them sell are locked to networks so if you can buy your own tplink or dlink modem, it will be more convenient
as to outdoor, i think they are referring to the antenna, which is purported to bost reception/signal.
4llerbuntu, our resident linux/android/xiaomi/tecno/3g/4g expert ad all around ntel troll will tell you there is no benefit from the antenna. i'm inclined to agree with him.
if you have the paper or yen though, go for it. A well written response. i must commend. Thank very much Dear Sir. |

I see on their website that they have three types of devices. indoor, outdoor and mobile i believe.

tobiasbeecher: Is anything wrong for her uncle to provide the money if he can afford it?
Seriously I'm somehow amazed at your reasoning. So the help she is to receive from her uncle must be commensurate with the help the uncle received from her father before she is due for one? Hmm, there are people in this world o!
What is wrong for her to ask the uncle for money? Answer 1 No, there is nothing wrong. But can he afford it? this is the question. Secondly it seems you have a weird definition of affordability. Like the Uncle is suppose to send his left over money to his niece?? This is where i have a problem with. Answer 2 Again, No. there is nothing wrong with the OP asking her uncle for money. However, when you use your father`s support as a criteria to your demands, then that is shameful. You asked the previous poster what all he typed had to do with your questions?? Well heres the relation. The Op`s uncle doesnt owe his niece anything. If the uncle can afford it, sure. If he cant, he cannot kill himself. Its really that simple. I am sure your not retarded to understand that. |

4llerbuntu: The real problem with Ntel is not the data volumes or even throttling sef
Its the piss poor QoS and spotty coverage around Lagos.
If you were throttled to 64kbps on a network that is working very well, you might find it usable. And that's the truth.
Remember when unlimited Visafone blackberry was still a thing. It had max speeds of about 200kBps and it was usable. Then useless mtn had to spoil a good thing
But when you are competing with evil spirits for 64kbps and only getting 10kbps with very high latency and constant drop outs.....
Then downtime in the region of 50% of the time isn't helpful.
The part I find really weird is how there's no off-peak consideration. So if I use the 3gb at 1a.m. I am left with 64kbps till next midnight.
All said, you guys on the network are MVPs sha. Hope you enjoy your money. Holy shit , nice to see u around |

londoner: If I'm getting you correctly you called to ask for money previously and your uncle did not give the money but God provided?
God will provide again won't he?
Your uncle thinks you are just calling to ask for money. Is he not 100% CORRECT though?
Trust me, I have lived in Australia before for 2 and a half years. I also studied for a year and a half there but even though I have a sister that lived there before going (and still does)I never expected her to assist me or pay my fees, rent, food or clothing.
I did that myself and also saved for almost 3 years before going just so that I would not be a burden to my sister or any relative back in the UK. Life in Australia is EXPENSIVE even more than London.
I returned to the UK in 2015 and carried on with my life after an amazing couple of years.
Instead of researching courses take a look at what the Australian government expects students to have especially from Africa.
Do you know that ON TOP of your course fees, you must show them a return ticket to Australia and proof of AT LEAST 18,610 Australian Dollars?
Is this what you are expecting your uncle to provide? Because your dad at one time helped him 'somehow'? The help which you 'somehow' avoid specifically mentioning which to me means it is probably in no way comparable to what you now want to ask of him.
Try to apply for education funds specifically for students coming from the developing world. There are also countries such as Turkey that have VERY low fees.
Please remember, when you are calculating your amount to live on please don't include what belongs to others. Thank you very much Madam. The bolded point is what i was trying to pass along on here and i was called out to be wicked... I can bet that even the people calling me wicked, if they were in that situation, they would do worse. Alot of hypocrites on this thread. I left Nigeria at a very young age. i remember back in the day, i had an uncle who was based in Germany. I use to ask him for stuff but he would promise and fail. But this same Uncle would come into the country and in quote "Flexing". Luxury cars cash etc. Now i understand. The Nigerian mentality- Dont ask me what this is. i am sure you all know what this means. |
