SportsOne Mistake Too Many (olympics) by mooretes(op): 11:51am On Jul 30, 2012
At the beginning of the Olympics last week, there was a flag mix up where the games organisers wrongly displayed the South Korean flag at the North Korea's women's football match. Although South Korea and North Korea exist as neighbours, they have a far from harmonious relationship.

As if this is not enough, now there is another mix up for the last day or 2, the games organisers have done it again, they are displaying Indian flag as the Nigerian one and it seems there has not been any correction what so ever.

Are they for real?

@ hebrewwoman,
God bless you and may the spirit of miscarriage never be your/our portion ijn.
last month in RCCG, one of the services I went on, the pastor preached on 'what you are standing on?' faith
if we stand on faith, what then does fear have to do in our lives?

The spirit of fear really just destroys all our hopes and faith and thankfully, if we decide to follow the path of our father Abraham, then God'll surely ans our prayers.

I think its gd that you're confessing smthing positive into your life and believing that it is well ijn.

Outside this, can you check to know whether Rhesus factor had anything to do with the miscarriage? Although some people are able to carry to full term but some dont. I know smone who's had miscarriage for 5times now and unfortunately, she had not been administered the rhogam which is needed to counter the effect.

It is well, God is in control. We just need to keep dancing and praising God that our joy has come.

God bless

@seanbell i would love to write more but it might take a lot of my time
and since ive got one nigerian meal plan scanned (sent to a friend once) ages ago, i just looked it up in my email
and tried to attach to the post, however it wont let me so i tot would be easier to email anyone who wants it
ive also got some meal plans and exercise routine for 6/8 and 12 weeks
weight loss typically deals with lifestyle choices so it depends on us and on how serious we are to staying on this new way of life

note that as we grow older our body finds it difficult to loss weight and by 'fasting' (unless for religion or for personal reason) our body might still be feeding on the stored fat so we might not lose weight anyways.

for the cinnamon drink, i believe you can take it in the morning too.
Meanwhile did you know cayenne pepper added to a little lemon and water also helps in weight loss? just a pinch o! as it increases the metabolism
but i would advice to be careful with anything new, actually just stick to the cinnamon one. Add it to your tea and besides the aroma is lovely.

tc and all the best

O! btw eating too much food does not necessarily make u fat, other factors contribute to it. If ure unfortunate like me and do not exercise at least 3x a week (ok, just so you know i was busy with my thesis then and eating or exercising wasnt just feasible) you might be writing letter to getting bigger without knowing. However, i do my fair share of 30mins to 1hr exercise for 4days a week, when i can at least 15mins when in a hurry

rapid weight loss can be gained back as soon as you stop a diet
so be careful when trying to look for a way out.
some drugs might also end up making you lose weight however, when you stop it you might gain more than what you've lost and might find it difficult to lose those pounds/kg

set a goal, a reasonable one and endeavour to lose about 2lbs/1kg per week should be ok, some weeks you lose a lot and some you lose nothing
so dont kill yourself over it

the ttc thing, enjoy yourself while trying to make a baby... dont time having sex to ovulation, sometimes we ovulate, sometimes we dont and sometimes stress also adds to ovulating or not

according to the NHS you need to shag at least 3x a week to increase your chances of conceiving
having sex 1ce in 2weeks or 1ce a month doesnt guarantee conceiving
dont bother yourself too much about other things just concentrate on the ones you can change ... weight, exercise and like i said use folic acid and zinc to prepare yourself for pregnancy. Research shows that using this pre-conception and 3mths into pregnancy helps to reduce neural tube defects plus when men use it, it boosts sperm count.. just some research ive been doing

dont forget
na God dey give children and at the right time and the appointed time, he would give us our own
complete with no problem ijn

@udoka2
no problem, hope it'l help

btw i forgot
when using raisins as snacks, it is recommended to take just a handful
it is also good to eats nuts such as cashew nut
it is very nice and also great in stir fry

meanwhile believe it or not turkey meat is better than chicken however both are white meat and ok to eat
ive not been a big fan of red meat for as long as i remember but im also not a big fan of chicken anyways but if some food calls for it
eat it

@ omofranca,
the famiy members im talking about are her own siblings and parents, they are aware she has gestational diabetes and pray for her often
for me i always join ppl in prayer, i know someone who has had miscarriage for 5times main problem which was detected after 3rd miscarriage was she has rhesus factor, as a woman, me i never hear am before until she said it.. i was surprised to hear and read about it and its a shame she went tru this alone, she figured telling someone abt it would help her situation and ive gathered so much info and by telling someone who knew someone who also battled with it, we had passed on so much info that she was so plsd she told someone about it. Ive made it my own problem and i pray for her often, so i dont know y it was difficult to tell ur family who wouldnt wish u harm that u were pregnant.

im not watching secretly pregnant on home and health to help me understand reasons y people might not want to inform their family members that they are expecting.
thank God for his mercies sha becuase love covers a multitude of sin and its only your family that would love u no matter what
HealthRe: Weight Loss/gain For Ladies Trying To Conceive by mooretes: 1:05pm On Apr 24, 2012
Hi, just my one cent
if you want to follow a diet and you are in nigeria, you can try this
however there is no such thing as wholemeal oat, oat is oat. It releases energy slowly as such it can be filling
replace sugar with natural sugar ... so if ure taking oat in the morning add banana and if you can find cinnamon, grounded one, sprinkly on the oat. Cinnamon also helps for insulin resistance.. diabetes

cinnamon for weight loss (notes inches are lost, so not just weight but inches, maybe around your thigh, arm, bust or bum)
Cinnamon and Honey formula for weight loss:
This should be prepared at night before going to bed.

1. Use 1 part cinnamon to 2 parts raw honey. 1/2 tsp cinnamon to 1 tsp honey is recommended but can use more or less as long as in the ratio of 1 to 2. --- so 1 tsp cinnamon to 2 tsp raw honey is ok too as an example.

2. Boil 1 cup...that is 8 oz of water.

3. Pour water over cinnamon and cover and let it steep for 1/2 hour..(30 minutes)

4. Add honey now that it has cooled. Never add honey when it is hot as the heat will destroy the enzymes and other nutrients in the raw honey.

5. Drink 1/2 of this directly before going to bed. The other 1/2 should be covered and refrigerated.

6. In the morning drink the other half that you refirgerated...but do not re-heat it...drink it cold or at room temp only.

Do not add anything else to this recipe. No lemon, no lime, no vinegar. It is not necessary to drink it more time in a day...it is only effective on an empty stomach and primarily at night.

Portion Sizes
Reduce your portion, by portion sizes, a size of crackers should be a normal serving portion size and you are allowed to eat for about 4 to 5 timees. So you have breakfast, midmorning snack, lunch, midafternoon snack and dinner.

get raisins from local supermarket or shop and use as snack
eat loads of fruit and if you can drink smoothies: so if you can spend money to stay healthy you can try making this sort

Ginger
did you know that ginger is very good for weight loss? pls read http://www.healthdiaries.com/eatthis/ginger-for-weight-loss.html
eat loads of food rich in fibre as it is filling and helps

example of weight loss smoothies

you can also blend some vegetables for vegetable smoothies {fat burning smoothies}
avocado and tomato smoothies

1 avocado
1 chopped tomato
black pepper
2tbsp of plain yoghurt
blend all and serve with mint leaf

1 tomato, 1 carrot and pinch of black pepper to taste blend all
(u can add ice to it if you want)

there are other smoothies u can make with banana, strawberries etc

il give you one that i really like

kiwi, handful of strawberries, half a melon, orange, 6tbsp plus 1tsp plain yoghurt and 1cm slice of ginger
blend and drink... you can have this for breakfast and it is really gorgeous and filling

if you want i can give a list of food every week for 8weeks, you can pm or email me on vieyepees@gmail.com

ps: do not skip breakfast

sorry tried to upload a typical nigerian weight loss diet but unable to however, if u want it u can email me

meanwhile ensure to take folic acid and zinc table during the pre-conception stage at least 2months up to the time u want to get pregnant, get ur husband involved too it really does help

@ify, sorry didnt want to make this complicated or anything like that didnt even realise topic is misleading
however long n short of the story is lady in question never told anyone she was pregnant, all they heard was she had a baby
which was what she did when she had the previous the yr before... story behind it was pastor said not to tell anyone
Nairaland GeneralIs It Possible To Hide Pregnancy From Family Members by mooretes(op):
Please help as Ive been raking my brain for the last 12 hours or more and seem to be loosing sleep over this issue as well. I love helping and advicing people, up to the point that im more or less like an agony aunt, however this seems beyond me. Someone told me this story yesterday and because I know the family, it kind of makes it hard for me to give my own 1cent. So here we go, hoping people would come up with different 'reasons', 'ideas' and probably profer a 'solution' to this issue.

So here we go,
Someone was telling me a story recently about a friend who we'l refer to as H, who has just put to bed a baby... praise God after having gone tru a series of miscarriage and loss of 2 babies. The problem is not as much of losing these babies, but we believe that she always has gestational diabetes and this is a problem if not detected or treated early, anyways, case was when she lost her first child, every one in her family was praying and hoping whenever she gets pregnant n delivers the baby would survive.
Now this is the thing
she got pregnant quite alright, however did not tell one member of the family.... then she had baby, baby dies.... member of family heard the story rallied around her... great... story was she was advised not to tell anyone abt the pregnancy,.... family members, though hurt kept praying that she wld put to bed one that wld eventually stay by his grace.

Fastforward this year.... all family members heard was she had a baby.... did the same thing again, never told family member she was pregnant. update: she already has a son it was later pregnancies that have been problematic
So tell me if you were the one, how would you feel?
is it right to possibly keep smthing of such from members of your family who are praying for you to succeed in life?
ive recently also just heard about how a pastor was telling a friend that her inlaws were planning on chasing her out of her husbands her because she hadnt had a child yet, however, the inlaws love the girl to death and wouldnt hurt her. Luckily the girl told her in laws n they assured her they werent throwing her out.

if you ever find yourself in this situation, would you keep mute or tell?
r we running our lives for one pastor or?
are we living for one alfa?
do we have our own minds? or do we believe or families are really diabolical and dont want the best for us?
EducationRe: What Is The Difference Between A Bsc(ed) In Electrical Technology And Bsc In Electrical Engineering by mooretes: 9:28am On Feb 16, 2012
just thinking in response to ade, why would someone not qualified as a teacher teach? what gives an engineer the right to teach? do u not think teaching itself deserves someone with the qualification? if u argue that as a BSc ed you are only qualified to teach but not qualified to practice engineering, why then would someone with BEng or BSc eng qualify to teach and also practice engineering? What is good for the goose is also good for the gander.

Besides, I believe it should be BEng anyway and not BSc eng. In anycase, dont know how this is offered in Nga. I did give example of this in schs from outside Nga.

I dont really know what it entails in engineering but like my own example (of which i finished from Unilorin) I am an economists and an economics teacher.

Going back to why wld someone not qualified as a teacher teach, we believe that since we read say Biology, Chemistry, English etc, we are qualified to teach this courses in schs, however it is not so, we need to understand what it entails to teach. In fact in the UK, you need to go for a PGCE (postgraduate certificate in education, http://www.tda.gov.uk/get-into-teaching/teacher-training-options/pgce.aspx) if anyone who studied a solid course wants to teach. This is because in education, we get to do teaching practice and other stuff related to how to manage students, teach and pass on the knowledge so you see, not everyone can teach.

Even if you have a PhD, you still need to study how to teach before you can properly teach in Unis. This is what the government and Universities expect.
Meanwhile, dont we think we just tend to name everything? Someone said, we dont v engineers in the country, he might be right. Do you know that road side car engineers (some actually do v a qualification) also wants to be referred to as an engineer. Do you know that in England, they hardly have Engr in front of their names? Weird isnt it but in Nga, we tend to have the Engr. pride I guess, but who says it isnt something to be proud of?

As long as you do the work and really know your stuff, then please go ahead and call yourself whatever but if you are put on the spot and cant seem to ans anything really, you'll need to go back to the drawing board.

O! one more thing, most of our children are not really doing well in exams, y, maybe we can argue that 1) they are not being tot well cos we do not have a qualified teacher 2) maybe we can argue that there are too many things which have 'blocked their brains' social network, too much playing, parents not checking their childs' books to know if the child is playing or learning and 3) maybe it is a general fall in education standards but seriously whatever the case maybe, if you dont have someone who can pass on knowledge the right way and you have children who are too involved in FB, games and friends to care about what they would be facing in future. So trying to up the education standard is a challenge that everyone needs to rise up and face not just complain about how poor the standard is n not doin anything about it. I've got ideas but I was told the person who I was going to present it to was wanting to make it his own, so its still with me.

God help us, and we also need to start helping ourselves.

BTW, at the end of the day all these qualifications are all names, isnt it?
EducationRe: What Is The Difference Between A Bsc(ed) In Electrical Technology And Bsc In Electrical Engineering by mooretes: 3:09pm On Feb 15, 2012
Hmmm! just tot to add my own one kobo. It depends on the University offering this award. Is the BSc(ed) a double honours or single? Why I am asking this is that

a) if it is a single honour then, the person is said to qualify to teach stuff that are engineering based and mostly in secondary schs, so perhaps say technical drawing, I think pls do not quote me

b) if it is a double honours then, the person is said to qualify as both an engineer and an engineering tutor.

In some universities, BSc(ed) is a double honour while in others it is single.

Besides if you had done basically everything in engineering and including education, who then says you cant qualify as an engineer? There are like someone mentioned examining bodies that would v to certify you so why not then probably write the exams to qualify per say.
Interestingly, if you go here: http://www.northampton.ac.uk/courses/130/engineering-bsc-hons/ and  http://www.inverness.uhi.ac.uk/course-information/business-and-technology/engineering/bsc-engineering you'll notice BSc engineering seem to be more for HND people who want to convert to having a BSc.

Now from my own first hand experience

I read economics education, as sad as I was when I went in to study this course (wasnt my first choice : how do you choose between chemical engineering and accounting?) anyhoo! was offered economics education (which I hated and knew would be doing an MSc in Economics as soon as I finished) so went in with non chalant attitude, however when I finished, I was told I had a double honours degree i.e. I am qualified to teach economics and I was an economist. Gbam, I was happy, killing 2 birds with one stone. Anyhoo! at the time, I was a member of NESA and also NUESA i think that is Nigerian economics students association and Nigerian university education student assocation (i tink cant remember all this societies jare). Finished 2002 and 2years later went to further my education

Today, I have an MSc in Business Economics and a PhD in Economics.
Pls note, economics has many other divisions, business, macro, micro, finance, development etc.
I am into business, finance, development and international economics , i might have digressed from the real question but does BSc(ed) limit you from achieving your dreams?
Is it double honours or single

Today, I am proud it was a double honours that I had as I practically did everything the economics students did and also included education to it so while they can only be economists, if worse comes to worse, I can teach. Moreover, many schs now I think only want to employ someone with an education degree anyways.

Hope this helps, at the end of the day its your decision and you need to put in your all in whatever you end up doing.

God bless

Nairaland GeneralWhich Should We Use: Developed Countries Model Or Follow China's Strategies? by mooretes(op): 11:09am On Aug 10, 2010
Im doing a research on financial sector development, FDI and economic growth in developing countries and I have come across several information in the course of my research. Although I cant give so much information but I believe that we all know whats going on in our surroundings and the world in general.

The west (Europe and America(s)) have for some reason always given a model that would suit developing countries however, these models are often equated with the developed countries themselves. I am of the opinion that developing countries should at least follow models which are drawn by developing countries and meant for developing countries as these countries have similar growth pattern (well more often than not, but then they are often characterised by similar factors).

China, which is a miracle growth (seeing what they have achieved in the last 7years or so) might be a model for other developing countries. An adage says 'a pe mo ara eni ni temi dire', when Goldman Sachs decided to coin the term BRICs back in 2001 China wasn't regarded as what they are now, but since the literature came out China has taken the advantage of the positive things Jim O'Neill said and it has worked for them.

The literature then points to the Next 11 (2005) which includes Nigeria. If I remember correctly, all the N11 have the capacity to grow by 4% or more over the next 20yrs. By 2025, Nigeria should be the 20th largest country in relations to per capita GDP. In the meantime, there has been some important factors that they have given considerations too which I believe we also need to pay attention to otherwise we might not see what Goldman Sachs have predicted.

As we all know, emerging countries especially China and India have been doing a lot of investment in Africa.

I'm not sure what else to write o as I think I'm now lost in what my point was meant to be in the first place. But in any case, do you really think we need to follow the models adopted by the developed countries or follow china's strategies? Mind you some of them actually were from the BRIC thesis.

Also note that developed countries were once like us 'developing countries' in fact if not worse  and it took them ages to get to where they are now. In 1920s, England's banks got developed after several years of self help associations for merchants wanting credit rather than banks in the modern sense. In America throughout the 19th century, banks lent the bulk of money to their directors, their relatives and those they knew.
Another funny thing is they had Child labour, yes Child labour existed in these countries, (to say they want to kill us with child labour laws n stuff now) they once actually did involve themselves in Child labour. According to Chang, the first attempt to regulate child law met stiff resistance in Britain back in 1819.

Before I conclude, I hope you get this, I was at a conference some 3 weeks ago and the main thing I got out of it was
Africans should write their own history.

Africans should do the same thing the Chinese did, work together and make things work to make Africa a better place. At least if we have a footing we can also make shakara to the west instead of fearing them.

They created models in order to still keep us dependent on them, most African countries only just gained independence about 50yrs ago so why is it that they are determined to see us do what took them over 100yrs to do in less than the time they've given us to be dependent on ourselves.

Just so you'll know im not saying that we should not be able to do this in less than half of the time they did theirs but then patience is a virtue.

Meanwhile, we should remember this, Obama said in his visit to Ghana, something along the lines of how would a country be rich if the leaders exploit the economy to enrich themselves? True word spoken so it is that time we make haste while the sun shines

O, before I forget, Prof Mammo Muchie said this in his presentation, Churchill once said 'History must be good to the English because I wrote it' so if Africans write their own history, then maybe history would favour us.

Hopefully this makes sense, as im in the middle of a write up sorry
TV/MoviesRe: Petition To Scrap The Nigerian Movie Industry by mooretes(op): 12:27am On Mar 12, 2010
I cant believe I started this discussion and never really continued on it as much as my very own sisikill did. You is the best, me love you long. Truth is for the past few months, Ive been busy with my research and boy o boy, it has taken me a loooooooong time to get to where I am today. Anyways, not going to talk about my research but erm, answering Mr Kanto would really be a waste of time. If we do not have freedom of speech and to express our opinions then I dont understand whatelse is required of us as an individual or a collective group of individuals. I expressed my utter disgust at the rate in which nollywood as an industry has decided to take us at the receiving end for fools by dishing out movies acted in 3-7days, if you mush know, we did hear that a producer working on one of the presiding Bishops of a well known church muttered his regret in how it is taking him a long time to finish the movie abt this person, long time meaning '7days' as he said it normally takes 3days to finish filming a movie.

Trust me, if it is abt making a movie, im sure myself, sisikill and others who have seen how awful the films have been made would make a very good, though provoking and block buster movie. Trust me on this one, have u looked at the story lines? they mostly make no sense. Night time to them is smtimes day light, nothing stops them in shooting at nights. Have u even seen the special effects , go to youtube, check on 'gomina ojo kan', God!!!!! are we stupid? common, even a child knows better.

My comments and I must add comments of others who did read between the lines have been restricted to Nigerian movies, we never commented on hollywood, neither did we refer to failed states or countries, beside, I would never say Nigeria is a failed state. Some policies might not be working right, mind you even the industrialised countries also once passed this stage, trust me this is what i personally do, as per research and we can argue on this till thy kingdom come.

So yeah, back to topic, some movies back in the day are better than what they've produced in recent times
if you want to speak abt hollywood, check out some low budget films that take roughly the same time to make and probably the same amount
check out the one abt vampires or so that was screened sometime last year, kai!!!!
i cant even shout jare,
case closed

Thirdborn and Sisikill and a whole lot of others i didnt mention but who did contribute immensely to this discussion, i thank u for making me keep my sanity whilst doing my research. You guys are the best, love to u all. Wish u the best in all u do

Hey all,  recently, my friend and I were talking about Nigeria, 25years ago and fast-forward, 25years on,

Remember that song ,  Nigeria is 25,  cant remember all the lyrics but the ones i remember,  Right salute the Nation, Come Join the Celebration, PPl united will never fall,  the sunshine n the rain will fall,  smthing smthing smthing,  I really like that song, but to be honest, how many ppl would stand up and sing this song that really sounded quite special back in the days. Songs that gave us hope for a better tomorrow. (well, lets think, we all want it to be great, we all want Nigeria to be sound politically, economically, health wise,  u know all the basic amenities that we need to survive, should be readily available, after all, it is a necessity and not a luxury good)

But also, if you think of Fela and his song 'demonstration of craze', I just tot, with the turmoil n all and then the previous post I read, its almost 11years of democracy and we are still demonstrating craze!!

Rolling plans ,  kept rolling
Developing plans ,  kept developing 'hmmm'
And we keep moving visions forward by 10years,  vision 2010, vision 2020,
What happened to patience! What are the policy makers thinking? What were they taught in school?
We all know that the end of a thing is better than the beginning thereof, as such first implement the policy, wait for it to take effect shikenan!
Abi, we all know 'Rome wasn't built in a day' and a journey of a thousand miles begin with a first step, why is it taking us years to take this step.

Back in the days, I think no one really knew what had been going on, but forums like this and other factors has made even children know whats up.
We yap yap yap but its nothing as been realised.

They say children are the future and knowledge is power,  thank goodness we are knowledgeable, otherwise we wouldn't know whats been going on,  but really, are children the future? I've been hearing that saying since I was a child and now I'm an adult,  shame!

O before I finish my moan, I read a posting not too long ago about how we enjoy recycling,  thats what has put us in a fix. Come to think of it, the older you get the wiser you become, and they also say, if you fall, pick urself up and try again,  y has it not occured to our recycled ppl that the 'brilliant' plan they had when they were on the 'throne' was just not brilliant and they needed to have a rethink instead of still using thesame light bulb on the head thinkin?

It is well with my soul, it is well with us,
Does anyone feel like we are the present day isrealites? 40years in the wilderness, but ours has extended another decade!
Forgive me lord as I do not want to sin against you.
And I pray that every good thing you have planned for us shall come to pass ijn
Can we hear a loud AMEN!!!

God bless you all

hey! ive been reading a lot about marriage, divorce and remarriage and no im not considering any of the above but just a word of warning
marriage is a lifetime commitment, we should be well prepared before going into it as there is no exit sign, well maybe for me. If you marry someone becos he is the only person available and because of disappointments, the this is just telling you that you are obviously getting into it for the wrong reasons. Dont worry about it, just dump it all on God he already knows the end from the beginning and he knows what suits u. Do not MANAGE at all. Just so you know if you marry someone on the sole reason that they are beautiful/ugly or whatever, this will fade and you might find out you liked nothing about them in the first place. Meanwhile, love does not grow, if you dont like someone from word go, well u might like them later on but if u dont love someone from the onset, what guarantee or assurance have u got that you will love them in 10years time? A word they say is enough for the wife. A broken engagement is always better than a broken marriage.

May God lead you to make the right decision. Amen

ok another nigerian film whose name has been changed but still showcase the same thing they did in the last flick this one is called me alone

chioma chukwuka

nonso diobi and others

in the first few scenes they show police officer akpan speaking to her boss she was talking as if she was reciting a poem

any way, chioma was on the road o and trying to get a cab

nonso comes in and asks what the matter was

a few excerpts

nonso: wots wrong

chioma: its crazy

nonse: what has he done

chioma: he was arrested by the police, bla bla conversation continuees

then

chioma: can you talk me to the station

nonso: hesitates and then goes, ive sworn that i will not step my feet in any police station till the rest of my life, dah! which kain turenchi b that now?

it makes no sense and no one cared to look at it.

From the beginning ma, the film get k leg as it was a remake of another film (well, not a remake just a change of name and also the same useless script, tell me who are they making these movies for? those who dont v iqs or?)

which kain thing be this now

the movie that was changed ehn started with nonso beating up a guy because he was romancing his cousin

or was it he saved chiomas life cant remember

@ ruby pearl,

Beyonce and Rhianna be movie?

shior! typical waste of space and time of both producers and actors. How in Gods name will they make such a movie! You give it a name and the people who are meant to be playing this part are clueless about the lyrics they are singing, have well not too good singing voice, which to be honest they could have just used some voice enhancer or digitally done some recording and make them lip sync

then we get them dancing like, kai, they shld v learnt good steps or something. We've got good dancers and singers out there, y cant they use them?

@ kanto

i wonder what is eating u up, if you've got a problem with anything, go punch the wall or something. Nigeria a failed country? hmmm! well, your opinion. so as long as you bring your opinion forward and no one condemns it, you do not have the right to condemn other peoples opinions. Its a simple world. Give it a rest and stop exchanging banters here with people who have logical reasoning.

@Sisikill, walahi you are the bomb, abeg anytime u fit, PM me, i would love to know where you're at. U are one sister with good reasoning.

sisikill, abeg, no vex o! im 100% for u but its been a difficult few weeks im writing up for my upgrade and need to sort that out asap but i havent in no way forgotten u and the critique.

Well, one day i saw the preview of letters to a stranger and caught in the middle, I thought, yeah cant wait to see the movie but guess what it was the worst thing ever. We just hissed when the movies began and when i say we, its me and my friends cos the movie was shown in a way ul long to see it when it started, i went like here we go again

abeg, wetin do the ibru chick? ok, she was ok but den wetin do the overacting?

caught in the middle

similar to games women play and erm, one of this african american movies, cant remember the name
anyhoo! RMD was a player who had a bet to bed a lot of girls in 30days
well, mr i can conquer all meets miss im on an assignment to bring u down
whats dat dada girls name sef? Dakore Egbuson
well na so she start to speak like osain because she was asked to put on a sexy voice

wot sort of annoying voice is that, then dey decide to give themselves name, mystery and cant remember
first off, il be mad if someone i dont know keeps ringing me, well might be nice at first if i was looking to get checky but
sounding like a broken pitch doesnt make one sound sexy, it was screeching to the ears,
this is not a good form of critique but i sure shld get something done soon

just at work now wld get it sorted ASAP

Music/RadioDo You Remember These Songs? Whats your Tot On It by mooretes(op): 4:23pm On Sep 12, 2008
Dunno wot topic to put on this one as its kindda tricky.

Was just thinking today o! Remember all those songs Nigeria used to compose for things
like independence, i think the festac stuff,  to be honest, i think i was quite likttle and can't really tell
how d songs were sang though still have the tune and to a certain extent, i remember some lyrics
so here is one for when Nigeria was 25,

Nigeria is 25,
bla bla bla ,  survive
come join the celebration
rise salute the nation
people united will never fall
the sunshine and the rain will fall
bla bla bla,
can't remember the rest o,  and i really liked the song

or i think this was for festac im not too sure
it goes,

i like am, o yes!
me i like my country, I like the land of people
everything e dey for Nigeria, make we join hands to make Nigeria greater

anyone who remembers and wants to fill in the blanks please help
