Basics in Europe? I didn't know that Nairaland is for Europeans and about Europe. Thanks for enlightening me.
Ok attempt at sarcasm. Welldone !

I Didn’t say it was about Europe

I was drawing a comparison

Here in Nigeria those things are seen as a privilege and signs of wealth

But in saner climes are accessible to most

what's up?
Nothing. About to sleep

But I do think one shouldn’t come out all guns blazing with women.

But then, if you come as a pauper and she falls for you doesn’t that mean other paupers can also get her?

A lot of people have a low mentality

What wealth? Cars, food and clothing ?

Those are basics in Europe

You should be hiding your identity if you are the son of a billionaire or something like that

Human society is such a patriarchy

I can only but imagine the uproar from people when they hear that a young man is sleeping with an older woman, who is someone’s wife

But a young woman can bang someone’s husband

And the guy is a gee

But sugar mummies don’t have it that easy if found out

How many reading this now know that native Africans made up the large portion of the Moorish invasion of Europe? Yet some sit back in their small villages claiming a non existent achievement just to spite a neighbour rather than consider the achievement of one African nation as a cause of pride for all
Black emirs had harems with hundreds of Turkish and European women for their delight

That’s why I’m moorish

Foreigners look at Africa as a land without history, our youths cannot mention 5 kingdoms of pre-colonial Africa.
And even blacks in the diaspora are taught that Africa was savage and uncivilized.. till now, even on this thread people are calling Yoruba, Edo, Igbo tribes.. can you call French, German, Dutch tribes?
Ego tripping and refusal to learn, our people feel they know it all already without any struggle to obtain the knowledge. Why won't there be enmity? Everyone wants to show himself
The same Europeans we worship today, we taught them how to bathe

We did rule Southern Europe for 700 years. But how many Africans know this

so why doesn’t ibo show us respect and we will show them respect back
I’m talking from an individual, human perspective

People are more open and warm up better to people who have good and genuine intentions about them

I laugh at the jokes between east and west

But I know even we yorubas will discriminate ourselves if we had our own sovereign nation

So the earlier Nigerians embrace a collective nationality, the better

don’t mind the guy see how he try to divert all the blame on Yoruba like a typical ibo. So Yoruba hate ibo and ibo just love them. They love Yoruba so much they call our land no mans land call us afonja and all sorts of name coz that’s how they show love. Nonsense ibo and Yoruba hate each other mutually

you are very very reasonable and observant, the type of yoruba I want to have and keep as friends. I'm not surprised they almost lynched for speaking the truth

Truth is-Igbos a darn to busy to start thinking of Yorubas. An average Igbo man has his mind on eking out a living and being happy wherever we are. Igbos are peaceful, no time to start plotting evil or attacking anyone, but yet you see yorooba leave a discussion or topic about hausa or Fulani and turn it to Igbo bashing. Yorooba just love to see Igbos as enemies-fact.

He, was when the Oba of Lagos said he would throw Igbos into the lagoon if we don't vote his candidate (in a democracy'o) and you begin to wonder if some of these people are lunatics
I respect your folk

Biafra was also a huge crime against innocent human beings

I remember being in mbaise in 2016 for my guy’s wedding

Really Sad story ...thats how intolerant that religiin can be.....anyway thank God she stuck to your dad and he was able to raise her the right way. Some men are egoistic, I agree

buhari is the worst mistake any country can make to have as a leader, when some of talk, we were called names of sort. Thank God hunger knows no tribe religion or political party.

You regret supporting buhari because you have conscience. Same cannot be said about those other buhari media cows (BMC) and zombie who either out of senseless hate for the Igbos or pdp refuse to see that buhari is a monumental failure and total disaster, and most of these shameless and foolish zombies I'm sorry to say are from your region-the south west
I am presently in lagos

Some men almost got physical with me for my opinions the other day

I asked them, how many times have u read in the news of igbos burning our houses in southwest

Or a fight between the two tribes

The antagonism between my people and yours is purely an egoistic thing that is baseless and very unproductive

I laugh at the jokes but we should know our limits

How can you hate a whole people?

There are numerous individuals from that tribe you will get along with if you make an attempt

I have good intentions and hope for Africa, I think beyond Nigeria. That is why we need to set things straight, including our history. We cannot continue to treat ourselves as a people without history and tradition - it is from these we know our identity and obtain pride in it.

Thats what we all craved for in our innocent and youthful days, but time came when you began to realize they you not really liked it you were been treated a particular way cos you are from a particular tribe or you bear a certain kind of name, then the narrative about the unity and passion began to change

Just before you could finish complaining, God decided to punish us more with an unrepentant , vindictive, illiterate, bigoted and Islamic fundamentalist as a president, whose unfortunate role is to further widen and deepen the division and trust among nigerians

Your mum from where?
My mum was a poor Muslim Fulani woman with a Yoruba mum

Married my dad, became Christian and got disowned. My dad practically raised her.

Most Nigerian men are unnecessarily egoistic

Buhari is highly bigoted. He widened the divide amongst Nigerians, hardly a unifier

I regret supporting Buhari

Y0ruba:
1. What you are quoting is Oyo’s history of Oduduwa. In as much as many Yoruba may identify with him, Oduduwa was and remains Ife’s business. He never lived anywhere else outside Ife, why Oyo of 14th century and everyone wants to draw up narratives about the man is quite disgusting. To the Ife people, Oduduwa lived among them and belonged to one of the communities in Ife. To Ife, he was an opportunist and usurper. A good number of compounds in Ife do not identify as ‘omo Oduduwa’. Oduduwa early history is IFE HISTORY not Yoruba’s history, please differentiate this.

2. Adetona is a revisionist. In Samuel Johnson, the old Ijebu king said an entirely different thing. Till today there is a compound in Ife from where Ijebu Ijesa from which Ijebu Ode & Ijebu Igbo progenitors emigrated. Ijebu Ijesa shares a lot of History & intense similarities with Ijebu Ode/Igbo - socially, culturally & politically. I will attach a picture of the recorded words of Awujale, his Balogun & the people of Ijebu in the 17th/18th century.

3. Awori never paid tributes to Olubini. Only the Eko king did. Awori had their own ruler in Olotto. The Awori let the Bini whom the Yoruba generally regard as ‘cousins’ (a stupid mistake people make till today) and do their thing while they carried on with their own stuff too. Eleko’s relevance stemmed from having the first contact with the Europeans given his locale; the same situation with Alaafin & Ooni; Olugbo & Amapetu etc.

Listen my friend, the only way there can be anything close to unity is to promote and entrench justice, equity and fairness, this is the only pre-condition to unity. Anything less is hogwash and a total waste of time Or at best will remain a fantasy.. ..Cheers

The southern youths most especially keep fighting over supremacy of universities, football clubs, celebrities, secret cults, religion believes, ethnicity and so on. No wonder Buhari said they are lazy and jobless.

The old men are strengthening their friendship and the southern youths are planing of how they will bomb themselves. They claim to be the leaders of tomorrow but my question is that Will the youth ever get it right?

Sometin is wrong in southern Nigeria, mayb that is y the north keeps ruling.

You are a typical Nigerian idiot born to equally not-so-bright parents. For your Information, Chimamanda Adichie is already married and has a child. She does not live in your 3rd world shithole country Nigeria where being a glorified housemaid AKA wife and mother is all women are expected to aspire to.

Respect is earned and not automatically handed over to you on a silver platter all because you came into this world with a dick. You can only get away with your chauvinism in Nigeria. You can't get away with it in sane advanced climes. In fact, more and more people with functioning brains are realising that marriage these days are overrated.

Even in Nigeria you 3rd world idiots who don't even know what it is like to have uninterrupted power supply 24/7 have no respect for the marriage institution. That is why most of you have no problems cheating on your spouses and infecting them with all manners of diseases.

As for freeze the melanin-deficient ape, he needs to mind his business and get a life because he has none. Who cares if he respects Chimamanda or not? The international community respects her and that's what matters and not the respect of some 3rd world chauvinist primate sitting in a zoo called Nigeria in West Africa.
