grin grin Mr Mo what are you turning into now? grin

Are you still planning to come for the world cup.I still stand by my words,It will be an honour to host. And one of the thing that I want you to experience is a Joburg to Cape Town drive,1400 kilometers. And also we should do our villages and see Ubuntu at work.South Africa is not Hillbrow,Alexandra and all other squater camps where you find desperate poor people. There is more South Africa than what you read.

I know that by hosting you,and knowing you,I will have hosted Nairaland
.
You'll be welcomed with open hands.
Yes I will post some soon,I think I have downloaded plenty from Estern Cape, esspecially Qunu.Mandela's birthplace.
I appreciate your hospitality. I will be arriving with a group of Nigerians,a few cameronian and liberian football fans and we will be based mainly in Johanesburg trying to catch games in the adjourning areas of rustenberg, polokwane, Pretoria and possibly bloomfontein.

unfortunately  we will not be able to make it to Durban or the cape. The distance is too far by car or the shosholoza train and the flights are ridiculous at this time.

I might make it to the mpumalanga area again and possibly kruger national park but not for sure.

Trust me I have seen much of your country on several occasions and will always admit its beauty any day anytime. In my travels, I have seen its highs and its lows as well, however I don't like silly Nigerians who have never step foot in SA and are misinformed bout other complexities of the SA society or economy where it concerns Nigerians or the ones who live there and talk a lot of rubbish as well.

If my plans change as time approaches I will definitely let you know,

People with Diploma in IT? And that are making a honest living not looting public funds?

I don't even think they would get a Zain call centre job.
I know people without a Diploma who are driving e class mercedez benz without having to loot funds to do so.

Most Nigerians in SA with the same qualifications are engaged in the same hustle jobs as they are here in Naija for your information. The difference is the markets and disposable income of the populous in South Africa are enough to sustain them. You don't expect the same odds when the Nigerian population is three times that of SA

grin Now this is what I call a Nigerian swagger,in South Africa we will say this is AYOBA! grin

Jokes aside,Mr Mo. One question for you.

Do you think this mentality wich you clasify as
'The fight mechanism creates a resilient character who uses domineering aggression and arrogance to survive the flight mechanism makes an individual leave his/her environment in search of enviroments in which he has or can manipulate to create an advantage'
Is still relevent for Nigerians when they go to countries where law and order is upholded,or where the goverment is playing active role in developing its people?
Personally I feel it is very relevant to retain this survival mechanism only that it should be harnessed for the good and not the bad. No one is saying Nigerians should break the laws in any other country. In fact it is very evident taht once out of the hustle and bustle nature of Nigeria, most people adapt as most humans do to the enviroment in which they are presented and prosper. Its like nuclear energy, the correct harenessing of this energy coul illluminate the world but the wrong step could cause a disastrous catastrophe,

Because of the agressive nature of business in general(don't let anyone fool you business is very aggressive)for a Nigerian to become too complacent and docile renders him/her at a disadvantage in the world stage. The more obedient you are to a system that you unfortunatley do not control or do not have much say the more you will be disadvantged in the long run of things,

My two cents,

Its like you've been to every country in Africa.
Actually I have which is why I have enough knowledge to express my viewpoint on what I have experienced and seen.

In regards education. I suggest you hop on the next plane and start visiting other nations as well and when you get there actually mingle with the local people and feel what they feel so you can understand what African life is all about.

The last time I was in your country I wasn't chilling in the fancy hotesl at sandton and surfing on the cape shores, rather you could find me in the townships at a local meat market in the evening mingling with the locals who were enjoying a cold beer and some T^shesa Nyama bro,

You are making excuses. How many tourist have you heard that died during their vacation to African countries from crime. If that were the case places like the desert festivals in mali, the sea sides of zanzibar, the ocean views of the cape and the islander destinations fot he cape verde would not be attractive.

@morpheus24
You kind of sound frustrated. I doubt if u are a nigerian cause we never get frustrated.

Just for the records, i am a graduate and an IT specialist. I work for Nigeria's biggest bank and I come from a very humble background.

You cannot excel when you carry the problems of 150 million people on your head. All i advice u to do is to stop whining like you a currently doing, believe in your capabilities as a true Nigerian (if u are one) and exhibit the rugged Naija sp4

4 ma guys in South Africa, Naija rocks and if u doubt it, then pay me a visit.
I am very far, far, far away from frustration bros. And the reason i asked if you were Nigerian would be if you truely were one you would realize the nature/nuture of the average Nigeria.

Most other Afrian countries are very small in number compared to Nigerias densely populated land mass. The population size adds to the event of continiuos struggle for limited resources amongst it populous thereby creating a survival mentality of fight or flight. The fight mechanism creates a resilient character who uses domineering aggression and arrogance to survive the flight mechanism makes an individual leave his/her environment in search of enviroments in which he has or can manipulate to create an advantage.(@ RSA this analysis for you is for free)

Much can be said of the average South African in analysis of certain behaviour types as well. On close examination of the average South African's boistruous nature in terms of music and dance one can deduce that this trait is ingrained as a result of culture and enviromental circumstance.

ever wondered why SA are the best singers in terms of Acapella?

how many times will I continue to elaborate to you RSA. You of all people should know that 150 milliion people lef to fend for themselves in such a small, harsh, and constricting enviroment will develop a 'swagg" nature once they have achieved what they believe to be coined material success.

I will not analyze for you that fact anymore.

As for benom
Yes RSA, you are wright, I was a bit generalizing, but majority of them do that. With regard to Arrogance, i aggree with you. They have realise that you dont go to a foreign country and pretend you own it after you have taken the streets. I think the arrogance was because of money, 5 years ago this guys were making money on the street. They drove latest model cars. I think they thought they were better than the locals and they came here within short space of time, they were rich. The arrogance was to show us we are here for 2 to 3 years and have made and you(South Africans) have been here for years but still struggling.

Now the police are catching up with their pace. I think what the police managed to detroy the network by focusing their attention to the King Pin. Look at the guy who was dealing with wife of a minister in KZN, what an embarrasment to that poor guy that his wife could be used by this Nigerian Drug Dealer. Its greed, it goes to show that she could even cheat him to get cash, maybe she has been sleeping with this thug. Thank god he is behind bars. There are some two women who were arrested in Brazil because they were snaggling this guy's drugs to Brazil. Now they gonna rot in jail. The guy seems so relax, he was thinking he could bribe himself out of this situation, maybe he has done it some times, but this time around he won't get a chance. He is in for good.
That swagger you call 'arrogance" is not going anywhere anytime soon, its ingrained in us, whcih is why we prosper. Take that away from Nigerians and we are just like the rest of other Africans answering 'yes sir" 'no sir",

TO be honest with you, you have good and real points.
However, with the case in court and all that, it is not that easy for him to carry out a lot of things.
The only think i think he wasted time on was to get rid of some of the die hard fan of yaradua, he shd have sent them packing fast and change them all to people he can trust.
However as an Acting president, there is little he could do.
I bet, he never see this coming that They will repackage the ghost of yaradua into the nation like that, and that was why they never told him, so that, he will be caught unaware.
Which shows his lack of leadership qualities. A good strategist would have anticipated this move and prepared for it after being advised.

Yaradua is the excutive President of Nigeria!

He can have his cabinet meetings by his 'sick bed side in Aso Rock'
I weep for Nigeria with people like you who don't demonstrate the capacity to reason with common sense.

How can a sick/dying man rule a country with over 150million people.

How can a president not be physiclly seen for close to 100 days

how can a president sneak into his own country in the middle of the night with no formal announcement

You call this actions justifiable by one who has executive authority over Nigeria.

Have you seen the amount of communication from the US state dept and Africom on todays development? They don't want Yar Adua's presence fouling any gains Nigeria has made in the past two weeks. They didn't send such a powerful delegation just last week for nothing (Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of African Affairs, Johnnie Carson, Ms Rice, President Bush). Progressive Nigerians can count on a powerful friend.

The cabal just played a joke on themselves. . . It will last as long as this evening, then begin to fade. grin
Unfortunately I don't think they hold much sway as far as this last tactic is concerned. Yardua's presence in the country is a strong play and will both  mobilize the north and undermine Jonathans powers until 2011

I think this game will continue well into next year if they can keep this gimmick up to save their azzez's
