Some of you Igbos think you have the sole license to mock and rejoice over the misfortune of people from other ethnic group, but start whining like a child (that you are) and playing victims. You people divided this country with your hate campaign along side the despicable oaf known as Patience Jonathan.
Tribal emotional bigotry with no use of reasoning behind it.

The article is about a "Nigerian" who died in South Africa, until Nigeria becomes no more, the individual mentioned by law and by jus soli is a Nigerian.

CrimeRe: Chinonso Obiaju: Nigerian Teenager Shot Dead In South Africa – Union by morpheus24: 3:37pm On Jul 22, 2019
Citizenshelm:
Nigerian Union in South Africa (NUSA) has alleged that a Nigerian teenager has been shot dead in South Africa, Igbere TV reports.

This comes after the Deputy Director-General of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), Obianuju Ndubuisi-Chukwu, was reportedly strangled in her hotel room in South Africa on June 13.

NUSA President, Adetola Olubajo, said on Monday that the victim, Chinonso Obiaju, 17, a high school student, was killed in Johannesburg on Saturday.

He said the deceased student lived in Roodepoort, Johannesburg with his guardian.

Mr Olubajo told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on telephone that his guardian, Mike Nsofor, said he was shot at about 6:30 pm.

“He went to buy from a shop with his friend and someone chased and opened fire on them, killing him,’’ Olubajo quoted the guardian saying.

He added that the family would be burying him in South Africa and that the union’s leaders in Johannesburg would be contacting him on developments.

Olubajo said they were going to the police on Monday to finalise on the registry and provision of his papers.

“He was born here I learnt and the Mother is in the U.S. I have spoken to Mike Nsofor to pass the Nigerian community’s condolences and call for justice to be served in this case as anybody who hunts down a young schoolboy couldn’t have any justifiable reasons,’’ Olubajo said.

He implored the Federal Government to urgently protect Nigerians in the Diaspora.

This article is somewhat inciting. There is no evidence that the individual was shot by a South African nor is there any preconceived motive pointing to the suggestion that the killing targeted a "Nigerian" in particular.

how is this news different from a Nigerian killed in Nigeria by SARS operatives during one of their raids or the death of Eniola Aluko shot dead in London.

FamilyRe: My Wife Abandoned Her Matrimonial Home by morpheus24: 10:51pm On Jul 18, 2019
Tunagee:
My wife started behaving strangely immediately I lost my job in April 2017. She leaves home to her mum at the slightest disagreement without even communicating or making to express her feelings; and to worsen it, her mum gives her a great welcome with a room and parlour for her to stay, without even calling me to discuss what the problem. Whatever her daughter says is always the final, and she concludes on that.

My wife literarily destroyed my image before my in-laws to such an extent that I can't even visit them again. She tells them i insult her and her parents, and i make negative remarks about them, that i abuse her verbally at the slightest provocation. Several lies against me that I did not allow her travel out, I don't give her money, I told her not to have another kid, that I told her not to work, her mother has decided to keep her with her as I speak without even calling me to discuss, even despite all my appeals. She has been with her mum now for almost ten months(my wife is a fully grown legally married faithful woman of almost 40 years)

All these disrespect, probably cos I lost my job two years ago of which I fulfilled all responsibilities to the home. i don't drink, i don't smoke, don't womanise(even till now) I have never beaten her, I never another child out of my matrimonial home, and never impregnated another woman.

Rather than resolve her marital problem by discussing with her husband, she takes it to her family claiming emotional abuse. Fine, I agree I get provoked cos of her persistent shortcomings, and of course, frustration which leads to unguided vocal utterances towards her, but this could have been resolved easily without having to involve her whole family. Now what she keeps telling my family is that her family said she should still hold on at her mum's place. This is the 10th month since October 2018.

The last time my mum went to her mum's house precisely June last month, she was asked if she was still interested in her marriage, and she said yes, that she does not intend leaving her marriage; but we should give her time. Her mother practically told me to go and do something meaningful, and that there is time to marry, separate, reunite and hustle. Her mum is the one controlling her movements and everything about her for now; not even giving her room to give me audience.

Pls advise on what to do.

We are legally married.
Bros marriage is not by force o, forget all these religious edicts about God say this, God say that. When woman don tire, she don tire na only plenty money fit bring am back

Beause of the great carpet destruction of evidence in major continental cities & libraries, we have been forced to believe Eurocentric versions of history, not anymore, our historians have proven them as being fake, false and unreal.

Continue to educate those that arent aware that the evils of Colonialism is not disconnected from the evils of the Trans Atlantic campaign.

The same way i would say to you that the evils of the Trans Atlantic campaign is not disconnected from the evils of Colonisation.

Re-educate yourself on African history.

Never forget that we are all one big family.

It's inevitable that African diaspora will be given their proper continental rights i.e citizenship, trade, work e.t.c

Given that the talk is about those of them that have been found to have passed the necessary requirements and shown to being law abiding citizens, then, they should be allowed to qualify for a citizenship of the African nation of their choosing.
You haven't fixed the Africa you are living in and you are inviting African Diasporans living in semi better structures.

We move on quick down here, sure we were aiming for a win but we were beaten fair and square but losing a stupid soccer match can't be the biggest issue in South Africa right now. It's actually an insult that with so many socio-economic issues in the country someone thinks that South Africans will take their time off that and start hunting and killing Nigerians because they won a stupid soccer match against SA.
Past actions are an indicator of possible outcomes in the future.

We don't role like that, no pent up anger issues of that sort.

Nigerians and Ghanaians for example can be in the same space and watch a match against each other with no aftermath.

I doubt that is likely in a SA vs Naija match where there won't be some sort of issue afterwards.

Muscle does not solve any problem now. Puffing up and down doesnot solve any problem, a man who cannot provide for his family is an infidel says the holy book.
Do you think the girl is happy to go and look for a provider for her child while the child's father is alive. Use this anger to make money. The only supremancy is money - he who pays the piper ? dictates the tune. He does not have money to pay piper so the tune is for the step dad. it hurts but the only solution is to understand that as a young man you have a financial clock and get to work making that money - even your mother will not respect you if you cannot provide for your child. curse all you want or provide or keep your peepee away from women.[/quote]Nigerian values are no more. Where did I mention the court? I am not talking about the law. I am talking about this 15k man's ability to feed and clothe his own son.

The matter on ground is not that they are stealing his son. It is that he cannot provide for his son. Don't let him hoodwink you. If you want to help him - get hima skill, a job, a hustle etc

Let him send 200k worth of baby formula and clothing to the mother and see of he will not be allowed to see his son.

It is not by sperm - without the right nutrition that child can become retarded. To put it bluntly this man is too boy to raise a child. He keeps saying she left him because he is a pauper then why cann't he fix his poverty. Go and get some money biko then fight for your son and impress the mother.

I feel sorry for his ego but he can fix it by getting money rather than this pity party he asked us to organise for him.

Again find below some costings for a child. Please be guided before you insert your peepee and litter the earth with kids to struggle. The human race does not need more hungry kids..... biko.

To whom it may concern.
It is essential to provide for your offspring however if you believe this is the only thing necessary for the well being of a child's psychology then the society you live in in regressing faster than you even realize.

15k cannot do nothing for that child. How much is baby food? How much is daycare? etc

I will be honest with you - allow that rich man to look after that child biko and try and make money - take courses, hustle, get a job etc.

A child belongs comes out of who? the father or the mother?? it is who a mother gives her child to that is the father. Ok!? No one is sure who thier true father is - it is whoever your mum tells you is your father that is your father! Ok!?

Get money before you try for another baby with the next lucky lady or that one too will give your child to the highest bidder.

Most woman don't know babies are expensive until they have them - a mother's job is to do what is best for her child. Try and understand. Go make some money.

I have included prices of baby things below - does not contain school fees. He is mine is not the point here - It is can you give him a good life? You need to man up it is not about sperm. Once a child is on earth it is about provision. People will say otherwise but don't let anyone trick you. If you love that child you will let the rich man adopt him and use your ego to make money. Your child does not need your love as much as he needs diapers and formula

The truth hurts and I am sorry
This is not truth it is a warped sense of what you actually believe to be truth, plus you are not sorry for him, why would you be.

Your write up is really from the perspective of someone who is really illiterate in law or the practice of it. This is why Nigerians will claim intelligence yet haven't turned on all the faculties in their brains yet.

This is the reason we have courts that can carry out DNA tests to determine paternity, even if he is not given sole custody he should never allow another parent usurp his rights away as given by man/law and by nature.

@ poster, fight for what you want no matter the cost, you will be able to look yourself in the mirror as an old man with no regrets. Trust me on this, people often tell you to take the route with the least resistance.

1. For the record, I don't remember roasting you.

2.You seem to revert to tribal issues concerning Nigeria. A fact but none the less a symptom of our history as opposed to yours which necessitated a coalition of tribes/clans in your country which cannot be in anywhere comparable to the complexity of ethnic identity in West Africa in general. Your country has a smaller set of Ethnic groups who are pretty much offshoots of the same people with mutually intelligible languages and culture which fosters a better chance for cohesion especially when faced with a common enemy.

3. The tribal argument on your part should be dumped as a defense or rebuttal because that is far more complex in our region than yours.

That would still make it your opinion. Why would it have the highest death toll if it were simply skirmishes & why do we still have the mass graves? Puhleese. You're the one twisting things around. In South Africa we don't cower, papa. So don't project your cowardice on the nation of fearless warriors.
Data is one thing and an inference on Data is another thing.

The number of deaths in your "100" year war is a function of time. An inference is made on this number on your part/on the part of the historians you adhere to, as an interpretation that "your people" were/are fierce fighters(though you say this is in comparison to nothing else since you reject knowledge of other Colonial Wars that took place in Africa"wink.

Since you refuse to delve into other situational factors that are necessary to determine if this is true your stance is merely "subjective"/ seen through your eyes and not really truth or absolute evidence of your ferocity at making War.

My "opinion" or informed judgement is as subjective as yours so my friend its really a matter of what "spin" you want to put on your story until we exhaust every variable factor that would be necessary to conclude that your stance is much stronger than mine.

Care to proceed?

1. Can you blame me? You seem to have your own interpretation of our history, other than the one that is well-known & retold in publications by independent sources with no axe to grind. So yeah, I think I'll lean more to what I know & my own research. I have some knowledge of South African history too.
As I said your spin on history. I can easily do the same by de-emphasizing how your "100 year war" was simply a bunch of periodic skermishes that occurred between settlers, Clans and the Colonial office over that period of time and completely invalidate your so called "Long time to subdue us narrative" but hey my opinion.

XhosaNostra:
2. Again, that's your own interpretation, which I care zero about because I never said fighting abilities were non-existent. I never made any comparisons. I simply said ours was the longest due to factors stated in my previous posts & that is an undiluted FACT whether you like it or not. South Africans were tough opponents that gave colonizers the longest standoffs in history of colonialism in Africa. Fullstop.
Please refer to above reference for a rebuttal.

1. The assumption that anyone other than yourself has read information on Wars that occurred in South Africa.

2. That the history of War in South Africa demonstrates some sort of fighting prowess that was non existent in comparison to other wars fought against Colonialists in Africa.

@bolded, that's what Morpheus says, but historians (& history itself) state otherwise. I'll take their educated & informed word over yours any day.

I don't care about other people's wars, I'm discussing our own, THE LONGEST IN AFRICA & also the only one that needed more resources/manpower to conquer a people, as the article reads. Period.
1. What differentiates the perspective presented by the "historian" you choose to adhere to if he is using the same information that I employ?. Subjective don't you think?

2. You should care about other wars in Africa so you don't make assertions that are based on limited knowledge or dear I say ethnocentrism.

3. You "choose" to ignore my historicity not because it is not based on knowledge or fact but on account that it does not move your narrative forward and renders handicap your initial assertion about possessing some superior spirit of resistance against aggressors as compared to your African counterparts when really its just spin on narratives you choose to accept.

Again what fighting technics were so different from say the "Ashante wars" or "THe Dahomey wars" that stand out as some heroism that is so profilic it differentiates you from other colonial wars in Africa?

Their retaliation did not amount to anything greater than cattle theft and raiding and this was frustrating to the settlers and the colonial office as well were it was necessary to settle with the chiefs on territory that would be deemed native reservations.

It was really not in the British interest to eliminate an entire peoples. It was in their interest to subdue them and control the surrounding areas

Did the British not conquer the Boer republics and establish provinces.

XhosaNostra:
What are you trying to say? Do you know how many uprisings & wars we've had in the country? Of course people gave up their lives! When they couldn't intimidate & subdue us through violence, they used AIDS as a weapon. In case you didn't know, South Africans were intentionally infected with the disease. They hope it would wipe us out, but we're still here.
Apart from the Mfecane and the Zulu wars, there pretty much wasn't any other major Wars by black people against the colonist.

The bloodriver War also ended in Conquerism as well.

As far as uprisings, well that's basically just temper tantrums and toi toing that were usually subdued.

Guerilla war fare was very limited as well because the Aparthied government used very nasty tactics to quell the uprisings.

I will give you points for perserverance though but again that is based on the methods of suppression that were employed.

The Xhosa wars lasted a century & at some point treaties had to be made because neither side would give up. So for the sake of everyone involved, a truce had to be reached. Please read!

You are waffling here, The Xhosa wars were far more internal with various chiefs and clans fighting each other than some strong formation of a powerful resistance against the british. The Kaffir lands were conquered none the less.
