Absolutely nonsensical to think that for 2 reasons

1. Africans are the most genetically diverse people on the face of the planet so would have a greater reservoir of genetic difference that would foster greater phenotypical and genotypical expressions.

2. The gene most responsible for skin pigmentation in Europeans is SLC24A5 and the earlier variant of it HERC2 and OCA2 are found in light skinned people who are African which include The SAn, and even the Igbo's of Nigerian.

Phenotype- how a person looks does not mean that they do not have native American blood(genotype).

Any genetic study on South Americans in general usually points to about 15% native American ancestry.

It is correct to say that Neymar groups most likely with option 1 above, therefore he is most likely a result of an admixture of African and non African genes as opposed to someone who exhibits light skin but who is 100% African/black as in the example of the person below.

That is your best guess based on your visual observation. However the probability that three groups of people lived side by side and intermarried and intermingled, with two of them being of lower socio-economic class and the more likely advent of admixtures, puts any Brazilian from this social group at a higher confidence level to have some sort of mixed ancestry from the two lower socio-economic groups being native American and African/black.

Argentina has a greater number of people who have maintained their European descent more so than other South American countries, however you will find White people in pretty much every other South and Central American country as well especially the elite class. This is not coincidence.

Compare a pic of senators in Brazil with the Brazilian national team for instance.

The children in the photo below are twins

If you look again at the photo of the parents it is likely that your assertion that they are "pure" black is wrong.

How can you make such a statement without his DNA results. The probability of him having native blood is actually quite high even though he may not present the phenotype that correlates with it.
