For more than 6 days Gomoney has been down with customer money trapped.
was thinking I was the only one using it (I have over a million Naira there).

I went to Instagram seeing lots of people using them for either business or savings.

For the almost a week they've been sending generic emails and replies to angry customers.

What are both CBN and NDIC doing about this since they're both licensed under them.
Sterling bank is exonerating themselves from gomoney they claimed to own.

Please if you're a gomoney user kindly comment for way forward.

This is why I dont do all these online banks.

Going by the way the Naira is falĺng against the dollar, it seems the fx gains enjoyed this year by our banks may extend even up to next year. Dollar has been seen trading above 1k at the official market for some time now.

May other companies find away around their huge fx losses.

I recently discovered that money apps like palmpay and opay give 20% and 16% respectively on their savings account for 1yr.

The interest are also available daily on a prorated basis. Asides the fear of closure r loss, isn't it better than fixed bonds(of course one can earn more from bonds if rates changes).

Will appreciate opinions.
Na the bolded fear me past.
The day I open an account with one of those named apps, I shall not allow my money spend the night with them.
Capital preservation is more important my brother.

Good morning folks.
Transcorp is planning to separate the power subsidiary .How true is this news and what is the effect on share price?
Positive or negative?
But how reliable is your source. Cos I think this is what transcorp has been missing

Happy New Month! smiley
lol. Make I follow you ask oh! Just like that?
I think it would be a very very positive news for the shareholders of it is unbundled.
Imagine geregu with far less capacity than Transcorp Power, yet geregu is selling at 399 and transcorp at 6.95.

Let them separate the power sector and allow geregu lift its price.

But I hope they are not planning to separate it and sell to an entity like FO did with forte oil.

The guy seems to know about court processes like "Mpiss" said grin .....seems he's a lawyer or have Court insider info too.

But come to think of it, from TheCables report, this Court Case seems to be between OANDO and the 14 minority shareholders -the petitioner, and not probably with all minority shareholders..... based on the writeup

We needs to get clear information on this case to know Oando's stand actually.

We are still waiting for the official outcome anyway...
It might not necessarily be his fault. Courts usually start sitting by 9am. And where a case would not be heard or for any reason there would be need for an adjournment, or where one of the parties has an SAN as Attorney, they might conclude even before 9:30am.
Its 7: 40pm and there is no doubt the case has concluded for the day, yet we do not know the outcome of today's sitting.

Oando should have sent out some info. since the press are not interested in following up and updating the public.

Alhaji would prefer his holding structure in refinery to be like that of Dan cement. And with the already 20% gone it is not possible. So how many percent will he now still give to investing public. You can see the manipulation rabiu is doing in his companies because of his share holding. Why do you think alhaji valued the shares of his sole rice business more to sugar in the merger of Dan food..1 rice is equivalent to 11 sugar without telling us what is the value of the rice company and what iit is bringing to the table like we know what nascon is bringing via its financial statement. .Though rice is not a public company but it should still have financial statements for us to review.
Alhaji Dangote does not agree that NNPCL owns 20%. He says they lost the chance.

We are waiting for Providus price....
I personally don't expect it to be less than N2, but I may be wrong.

Providus left NASDAQ in 2022 and is currently doing well as a private Company.
Not much is known about the bank anyway but we just hope the price to be paid will be rewarding
The CBN capital raise will affect all these small banks. Depending on the base to be fixed by the CBN, banks from fidelity down are likely to face mergers and acquisition. I do not see Providus surviving without merger or acquisition
