Streetinvestor2:lol. E don change hand. Most owners of those offers will be regretting by now. Some might have sold at a loss. |
Some people will make 20% this morning. The bold and courageous I mean. Transcorp moved from 11.67 to 14. Na wa oh |
Most of us that recently added or entered transcorp did not do so just on the expectation of a good result but rather on the anticipated corporate action(which we suspect to be unbundling) Thats why we have been adding more on each low. Hopefully they will do a favourable unbundling exercise like he did with UBA in those days, that gave us ucap, afriprud and one other company like that. |
Nairalander640:full offer |
Lion123:If transcorp power arm should stand alone, we might see the difference. The power arm seem to be covering for the other non profitable arms of transcorp. |
BullBearMkt:I doubt if its just the cost difference that led Dangote to US, considering the cost of shipping, tax, and the fact that the difference in price between the grades is just 5$. I think the frustrations of relying on Nigerian oil with all the disruptions and breach if agreements may just be the main reason. We all saw how he literally begged for crude supply from Nigeria since November last year, and the miserly 6million barrels they agreed to give since then, a Refinery that needs almost 10million barrels a month for now, and more than 18milliin barrels per month on full production. |
stcool:When I told someone here that he shouldn't rejoice yet on fcmb 200% increase in profit, these are the things I meant. WEMA did over 250%, yet I think there is still more to come from the banking industry. We shall see over 600% increase in PAT. But in all of these, what really matters is the divudends that would be paid. |
yMcy56:No be only Geregu I miss. I also missed BUA cement, Japaul and many others. Na fear. I too dey fear. Person wey Wale do something before, anytime he hear WA, na to start run. On a giid day, with the oil acquisitio s and given the current price of Seplat, Oando suppose dey sell like N300. But... |
Streetinvestor2:Oando is a gamble. If they delist, shareholders who bought above 7 will pay scholl fees. If they dont delist, and if Wale does not short change investors, and if oil prices remain stable, then investors will make it really big. I think all those in it already know all these. |
Oando is really doing well today. |
lostinHeaven:Final dividend. My mistake. |
UBA audited 2023 result and final dividend is ready and approved by the board. Lets wait and see how long it takes for the new CBN to approve the result. I just pray they don't take as long as the previous CBN team. Access audited result to be considered by the board on Tuesday. |
OakPearl:They are just being "conservative" |
vacanci:My fear for both fcmb and fdelity is that dey may not survive the next CBN minimum capital requirement without serious modifications Where fcmb want take get 900billion naira. That least OS you se today will soon be over bloated |
vacanci:All the people buying because of 200% increase in profit should waylit untill they see UBA, fidelity and some other results. They will realise that 200% inn small increase. |
yMcy56:Seplat came through again. Another 10%. We not done yet. Lets see how far we go on this stock. |
Streetinvestor2:I am not too sure but I think they are to pay within 10 working days from date of suspension of trade on their shares. |
I just dey look this seplat, can we cross 3000 today? Or... Seplat is not joining the pullback. |
onegentleguy:You are doing really well. And I see you going places. But pls I suggest you create a new forum exclusively for your subscribers, where you could reach them directly, easily and more conveniently rather than these messages that do not mean much to we that are not subscribers. |
yMcy56:Seplat doing 10% today. I pray they reserve all these bids for another 10% tomorrow. |
IYGEAL:Yesterday was sunday. |
chibaby1985:If UBA with projected eps of over N16 for the year fail to pay up to N3 as dividend for the year then wahala go dey. Same applies to other some banks |
veecovee:Banks mights still pay up to 10% despite the directive from the former CBN governor. |
emmanuelewumi:If Otedola moves Zenith, other banks will experience some movement. |
femu:So Otedola did not see Access bank (the most "acquisition" bank in Nigeria) to buy, na Zenith wey dey high he want buy. Btw He wants to own and be in the board of both FBNH and Zenith. Is that allowed? |
yMcy56:Wow. This is awesome. But I think something is about to happen in the life of seplat. Its along time seplat had bids up to this level. |
Zagee:GSK payment is mor than the 17.42 they quoted. There is the question of a major shareholder giving up his payment, and also a certain money to be distributed after the whole arrangement. |
Its not Oando, Transcorp or any of the listed companies that is buying the shell onshore asset. |
Renaissance Africa Energy has confirmed the signing of what it called a landmark transaction with Shell PLC to acquire its entire shareholding in the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited. Renaissance is a consortium consisting of ND Western Limited, Aradel Holdings Plc, the Petrolin Group, FIRST Exploration and Petroleum Development Company Limited, and the Waltersmith Group. Shell had earlier announced that Shell PLC on Tuesday said it has “reached an agreement to sell its oil business in the Niger Delta, the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC)” to Renaissance Africa Energy. In a statement on its website Tuesday, Renaissance said the acquisition marks a significant milestone, establishing its strategic position in the Nigerian market. The consortium said it was “committed to ensuring a smooth transition and looks forward to leveraging its expertise, in partnership with SPDC’s industry-leading staff and working in partnership with all the stakeholders in the SPDC-JV to drive continued growth and success in Nigeria and beyond”. However, Renaissance said, “the completion of the transaction is subject to the requisite regulatory approvals.” Also reacting, one of the companies that made up the consortium, Aradel Holdings Plc said the acquisition “marks a significant milestone for Aradel, which will bring enormous benefits to its shareholders, further strengthen its financial outlook and consolidate its strategic positioning in the Nigerian energy market”. Aradel disclosed that it is committed to working in partnership with all the stakeholders in Renaissance and the SPDC Joint Venture to ensure a smooth transition and drive continued growth and success in Nigeria and beyond. Aradel’s Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director, Adegbite Falade, was quoted as saying: “This successful acquisition represents a key step in our journey to becoming a leading energy company in Africa and aligns with our long-term strategic growth plans. It also demonstrates our commitment to our “3R” Strategy of Resilience, Robustness, and Redundancy.” Shell, for years, has sought to sell its Nigerian oil and gas business but will remain active in Nigeria’s more lucrative and less problematic offshore sector. |
I am begining to think that with time, the focus of investor on NSE will shift from % return in dividends to capital appreciation. It is clear to us all that stocks like Transcorp hotel may never pay as much dividend as to justify their current price(so too may other stocks) yet billions keep getting into them and the market. Surely, not all the money that has entered this market can leave by dividend period this year. Alot will remain, and alot will still enter. Tinubu's government has only done less than a year and many believe his govt will favor NSE. We will just watch and see how investors react in the coming months. Surely, new lessons and new theories will emerge. |
Locotrader:With good "insider info" you can invest in oly one stock and make it big time. I have been imagining if i had put all my investment in Transcorp when My average was 99kobo, I for done retire by now. |
megawealth01:I am happy you highlighted the bolded. For those pointing at the efcc fx investigation, government will not alliw anyone touch dangote |
