1. Communication was made between both Lagos and Anambra State governments.
2. Number of persons involves were 14.
3. No date was set for the repatriation or arrangement concluded.
4. Over 70 persons were dumped at bridgehead, Onitsha, their alleged family homes.
5. They were dumped in the middle of the night with no one there to receive them.
6. A crime was committed by Lagos State government against the citizens of Nigeria.

If you support the deportation of persons in the middle of the night many of whom are not from Anambra State, leaving them to their own fate, then I put a curse on you. Let the government of whichever country you are living in arrest, maltreat, torture and send you back to Nigeria for no reason. Amen.

The DPP is the prosecutor.. And if the prosecution decides to drop all charges against a person, who then takes it to the supreme court?! So let me teach you what would most likely happen;

1. The AG of Rivers State would drop all charges against Chidi lloyd on some legal technicallity.

2. The Police would not be able to do anything.

3. Ihunwo would bring civil charges against lloyd and sue for punitive and compensatory damages..

I have met a few of the friends he has here in America. I have found birthday, Christmas, valentines, easter cards from different women. He chats regularly with women from Nigeria and America. He says they are just friends but when I encountered one conversation between he and another woman in America she was saying how much she loves and misses him. he has comments on another woman from Nigerias facebook telling her he loves her. wirinet: Please can explain how the case you quoted above relate to the Chidi Lloyd case? First the guy pleaded guilty to all charges read against him, meaning he did not even present a defense, probably because he could not afford a SAN and was given a charge and bail lawyer. Then we do not have any details of the case. What caused the fight, how did he come about the weapon, what is the motive of the attempted murder, etc. In chidi Llyod case evidence will be presented as to the cause of the fight, how the weapon was gotten. And most importantly Chidi will have very experienced lawyers in his team, so no chance of him pleading guilty to any charge the police comes up with.

celemel: This case is dead on arrival! By Law, it is only the department of Public Prosecution (DPP) of a state that can file charges against an offender in a Criminal Case such as murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, stealing, armed-robbery, kidnapping, etc. The Police is duty bound to send the case-file of an suspectr to the DPP (State Attorney General's agent) after conclusion of investigation. DPP can either authorize the Police to prosecute, or take over prosecution itself. When the police files charges against an offender in any court of law, it is deemed to have done so on behalf of the State Attorney-General (in the case of any of the 36 States) or the AGF, if it is a Federal Crime like treason, or treasonable felony, or a crime committed in the FCT! The Police takes it's prosecutorial powers from the Attorney-General, who in this instance, is an appointee of Governor Amaechi. And the AG of a State can file a nolle prosequi (discontinuation of prosecution) which literally means that the State is no longer interested in the prosecution of a suspect. If that happens, the Court is duty bound to strike out the case, and no further action can be taken, except the AG of that State approaches a superior court of records to re-file charges!

Murder and all the variants of that crime fall squarely under the purview and prerogative of the State AG where the crime was committed. In the instant case, Chidi Lloyd can only be tried in Port Harcourt and prosecuted by the AG of Rivers State and NO OTHER PERSON! Therein lies the dilemma! He is a free man, head or tail!
