It's now very obvious with all these first hand accounts that the attacks where not because of drugs or human trafficking as alleged by the south African govt just pure hate and envy. Very barbaric people that don't deserve any freedom from their former oppressive white masters.
MelesZenawi: “Once you can read and write and understand, you are presumed to have attained the equivalent of a secondary school certificate and can, therefore, stand for elections at any level,” Alhaji Tanko Yakassai said.
A famous northern politician, Alhaji Tanko Yakassai, has praised the presidential election petition tribunal for its verdict in favour of President Muhammadu Buhari
- Yakassai said that the ruling of the tribunal ended a lot of speculations about President Buhari's academic qualification - The politician said that once a person is literate and has a secondary school certificate, he or she can contest in any election in Nigeria Alhaji Tanko Yakassai, a northern politician famous in the second republic politician, has appreciated the efforts of the presidential election petition tribunal in the case between President Muhammadu Buhari and Atiku Abubakar.
Yakassai said that the verdict of the tribunal on Wednesday, September 11, put to an end to the arguments and petitions about President Buhari's academic qualification in relation to the last presidential election, The Sun reports. The renowned northern politician stated that according to the tribunal, once a candidate can read and write with at least a secondary school certificate, such a person can contest in any election in Nigeria.
He said: “Once you can read and write and understand, you are presumed to have attained the equivalent of a secondary school certificate and can, therefore, stand for elections at any level.” Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that James Akinloye, president of the Initiative to Save Democracy, had outlined three reasons why Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 presidential election, could not defeat President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) .
In a piece published on Leadership, Akinloye said that Atiku’s petition was filled with many contradictions. Legit.ng notes that the analyst pointed out that Atiku, a former vice president of Nigeria, had said card readers had shown that he got over 16 million votes; yet, at another point, said that the same card readers were barely used in 11 northern states.
It's quite unfortunate the bitter truth is that the criminal 1999 nigerian constitution has empowered those judges to give that vedict until nigerians will wake up from their deep slumber to dismantle and destroy that demonic document Nigeria will always continue to go in circles.
Aljmusa300: The cabal operating in Aso rock have instigated an oil war by their manipulated appointment into the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission to suit their whims and caprices against laid down rules and the act establishing the NDDC. The Cabals who are operating within the office of the SGF Boss Mustapha and the Chief of Staff Abba Kyari are said to have planted their chronies and proxies in the board of NDDC against the wish of party faithfuls in the various Niger Delta states with a view to using such offices as a conduit pipe to siphon NDDC fund. The appointment which was hurriedly put together without the knowledge of the president is causing serious tension in the Niger Delta. By the provision of the act the Chairman of the board is supposed to come from Delta State but the Cabals decided to pick the chairman from Edo state and the MD from a non oil producing community of Urhobo , a tribe where the newly appointed minister and the Deputy Senate president hail from. This action has generated bad blood and tension everywhere as there are similar occurence in other states like Bayelsa, Rivers and Akwa Ibom states. With the issuance of quit notice to all oil company workers operating in Itsekiri land to vacate the territory by a pro Itsekiri militant group and similar threats from Ijaws, Nigeria will slide into economic recession soon as Itskiri areas alone produce about 30% of the nation's crude oil export. Another group has filed a suit against the federal government for breaching the NDDC act. The directive that all ministers should report to the office of the Chief of staff is a clear indication that Buhari is not the one ruling this nation. They prepare whatever documents they like for the president to sign without knowing the content of the documents.

The people of the niger delta should have been fighting for total resorces control instead of protesting against one of their own who has been given appointment by the federal government. Why kill themselves for peanuts when they can have it all? Northerners who are currently enjoying their resources are very happy that they are not united their divide and conquer antics are working very well for them.
Christians in Kiagbodo community, the hometown of elder statesmen, Senator Edwin Clark, in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, have partly destroyed a mosque being built by an indigene, Mallam Abubakar Korokeme. The mosque was attacked overnight last Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has slammed Chief Edwin Clark for speareheading an anti-Muslim campaign in the community. The Islamic human rights organization put the lion’s share of the blame on the elder statesman. This was contained in a press statement released by the Director of MURIC, Professor Ishaq Akintola, on Monday, 9th September, 2019.
“The buck stops at Chief Edwin Clark’s table. He is respected in the area and in the whole state and his opinion holds sway. Edwin Clark is well educated and widely exposed. He is a former senator. He is supposed to know better. How can he argue that a mosque could not be allowed in his community because it is a predominantly Christian environment? Is that what the Nigerian Constitution say? Is Clark telling us that even as an ex-senator, he does not know that there is freedom of religion?
“Senator Edwin Clark has disappointed us. There is no continent in the world that Clark has not visited. He saw mosques in Texas. He saw mosques in Toronto. He has been to Britain and the latter has different types of mosques. Yet these are Christian countries. You can see the dilemma facing Nigeria. It is the literati who are misleading ordinary folks.
“Come to think of it. Abubakar Korokeme is an indigene of the community. Yet his people will not allow him to build a mosque. The mosque is not just on the street but right inside Abubakar’s private compound. Yet elders in the community led by Chief Edwin Clark goaded Christian youths to anger against an innocent man just because he is a Muslim. We know how this game is played. The elders should stop blaming the youth. Chief Edwin Clark should take a look at the mirror. What he sees is a Muslim-hater.
“MURIC is not unaware that more than 80% of the churches in the North are built by nonindigenes. Yet Christians in Delta State will not allow a mosque being constructed by an indigene to stand. They pulled down a section of the mosque hiding under the excuse that it might be used by herdsmen as a base in the community. That excuse is most laughable, most mischievous and highly untenable.
“We call on the whole world to see how Muslims are being treated in their own country and on their own land in Delta State. Even in Rivers State, Islamophobia is the norm. We charge all world organisations to note who is manifesting religious fanaticism.
“Just last week, a whole governor supervised the demolition of Trans-Amadi Central Mosque in Port Harcourt. Then he took journalists there by himself to stage a hocus pocus of a press briefing in which he claimed no mosque ever existed at the spot. Well, Asari Dokubo’s video clip has exposed all that as sheer executive abracadabra.
“History does not forget because today was born from the wombs of yesterday. We are placing it on record that Nigerian Christians were the first to start demolishing mosques, first in Port Harcourt in Rivers State and then in Kiagbodo, Delta State.
“We have appealed to Muslims particularly in Northern Nigeria to resist the temptation to retaliate and they have listened to us. We repeat our appeal today. Leave the churches alone. Touch no Christian. Those who demolished our mosques are not true believers in the Almighty God. They are haters of their fellow men.
“We urge Governor Ifeanyi Okonwa of Delta State to give adequate protection to Muslims in the state as it is already clear that they are living in the midst of foes. The world is watching.
“We assure the minority Muslim families in Delta, Rivers and other places that we are with them in these trying moments. They should to continue to uphold the integrity of Islam, to remain strong in faith, persevering and patriotic. We ask them to ponder over the words of Allah, ‘So do not lose heart. Do not fall into despair because you will triumph if indeed you are Muminuun (faithful)’.
“By the same token, we charge the Commissioner of Police to do the needful. Muslims in the state have become endangered species. They need protection and the police must rise to the occasion. They are tax-payers too and they have Allah-given fundamental human rights which are now being trampled upon with impunity. We demand police action. Those who destroyed part of the mosque must be arrested and charged to court for trespass, wilful damage and acts capable of causing breach of the peace.
“We have a message for the American Congress. You have invited Christian leaders and clerics from Nigeria to address Congress after making false allegations about Christians being killed in our country. When will you give Muslim leaders and Imams the same opportunity to state their own side of the story. Or is that not the way, fairness and equity go? Is democracy about partiality and exclusivity? Or is the American Congress allergic to the presence of Muslim clerics?
“As we rise from this session, we appeal to Muslims nationwide to exercise utmost patience. They should remain calm and law-abiding. We must not allow any form of violence to erupt because Nigeria needs peace to develop. The programmes of the present administration cannot succeed in a turbulent atmosphere. Those who are engineering hatred for Muslims and fanning the embers of religious war wish to see Nigeria go up in flames. They are waiting to see Muslims retaliate so they can launch another bloodletting crusade. We must disappoint them.”
Professor Ishaq Akintola, Director, Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC)
Peaceful people everywhere are obviosly scared of the islamic religion to take root in their community simply because of the voilent nature of those who practice it.
Mrsoundoro: More people are been killed and injured by the Nigeria police across all state because of Ashura really.
Ashura is a religious observance for Muslims all over the world. Ashura literally means tenth, and it is celebrated on the 10th day of Muharram, first month on the Islamic calendar.
After reading the original full report from Bloomberg I just shed tears for this hopeless disorganized country. The said late Mr Quinn is even just an ordinary local mechanic by training how he managed to pull this scam deal that's going to cost nigeria billions of dollars still baffled the international community. The unfortunate thing here is that some foriegn greedy firms has already bought this case from the real owners of P&ID, I don't see how nigeria is going to win this case at the end of the day.
Simplyleo: Now, he has directed they be evacuated from SA, which is most appropriate to at least save lives.
But the stubborn ones (of course we know them) will rather stay back in that same SA and continue throwing insult at him while their brethren in Nigeria clap hands in support and even go to social media to throw more insult.
When the attack gets reignited, these same people who refused to comply with simple instructions to at least save their own lives will still be the first again tto start shouting, "we don't have a president".
I don't think it's possible to evacuate 800,000 Nigerians just like that this buhari govt doesn't even have what it takes to settle and cater for all of them here. Some of them who are well to do and established there will surely prefer to die there than to come to nigeria where they are likely to die in poverty.
Black south africans should have been left alone to be oppressed by the white aparthied govt its now very obvious that they are not yet ripe and matured enough to get their freedom. Mandela and other black african countries especially nigeria fought and laboured for absolutely nothing.
iReportAfrica: Kano state government has vowed to institute a legal action against the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike over the demolition of Rainbow Town Central Mosque located at the Trans-Amadi Area of Port Harcourt.
A press statement by Abba Anwar, Chief Press Secretary to Ganduje described the “sad story of Mosque demolition in Rivers state as shocking and promised that necessary lawful action must be taken over the happening. ”
Willy7: My people, no matter our political divides and leaning, some things are not to be ignored. The picture above says a lot about our country and how our President is being perceived. Honestly I'm not happy seeing this pictures. This really shows how far we have deteriorated as a country. Looking at Adeshina, you can't but imagine if someone of that caliber and education is our President, how this country will be perceived and respected. Honestly I feel so ashamed that in this 21st century, someone of PMB caliber is what we can show to the world as our beacon of hope. Why can't we have an Adeshina or Godfrey Onyeàmà or even a young vibrant and educated Northerner that knows what the world is talking about? Just look at the way Adeshina is seated and sharing ideas with intelligent leaders. Honestly this pictures really sends some deep thoughts within me. Which way Nigeria?
This is end result when a country have vehemently refused to let go of religious and tribal politics.

Tmania: Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha, has alleged that former Governor Rochas Okorocha approved and used about N11.2 billion to build ultra-modern police headquarters and hospitals for the military.
Ihedioha, who insisted that those projects were under Federal Government’s purview, made the allegation in a statement titled: How Rochas Okorocha Robbed Imo to Pay Abuja issued by his Special Assistant on Research, Ogu Bundu Nwadike.
He said Imo people were denied of the funds, which could have impacted on them in the most desired areas of need, than channeling such resources to the constitutionally excluded projects for state governments.
When Vice President Yemi Osinbajo visited Imo State on his tour of oil producing states, Okorocha in his welcome address told the audience that Imo State did not benefit anything from the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government.
Okorocha narrated how in spite of the fact that Imo State is an APC State, it received no special benefit from the Federal Government.
Ironically, he went ahead to use N 11.2b to build a house for the Federal Government as Headquarters of the Nigeria Police. He also gave out a number of General Hospitals to the Nigerian Army, Navy and Air Force.
That is a case of robbing Imo to pay Abuja. How could a governor who couldn’t attract anything from the central government be building structures with lean State resources and giving them out to the Federal Government?” the statement reads.
Meanwhile, Ihedioha at the weekend resolved the lingering land crisis between the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) Regiment 211 and Imo communities.
The host communities are, Obube and Umuowa communities in Owerri North and Ngor Okpala council of the state.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Chibuike Onyeukwu, the governor also sued for a peaceful resolution of all land related crisis in the state.
Ihedioha was accompanied by the Commandant, 211 Regiment Group, Group Captain Phillip Elisha Bindul and top government functionaries, who visited and met with stakeholders from the communities.
He said the purpose of his visit was to ascertain contentious issues and seek cooperation of the communities to allow peace and development to thrive in the area.
Speaking, Bindul lamented how litigations in court had hindered work on the proposed site, saying the NAF was allocated 100 hectares of land for the construction of the 211 Regiment and as a law abiding agency, it would not exceed the boundary allocated to it.
Traditional Ruler of the area, Eze Jude Chidi Nwaogu, commended Governor Ihedioha for his prompt intervention in the dispute and assured of their cooperation and support towards a peaceful resolution.
I personally visited owerri last week the whole place just looked like a glorified village even the roads in my village was far better than what I saw there it's really a pity for imo people. It just seems as if imo state doesn't have any functioning governmeet for the past eight years.

ChemBrodar: President Muhammadu Buhari has said he would not name his likely successor when his administration winds up in 2023.
President Buhari said this on Tuesday while receiving members of the Progressive in Academics (Pro-Acad) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Igbere TV reports.
The group had asked him to start grooming a young person who would replace him when his second term tenure expires in 2023.
Buhari said that identifying anybody as his successor would create problems for him, warning that no one should think he can just become president overnight.
The president said it took him a lot of hard work and persistence to win a presidential election after three previous unsuccessful attempts.
He also blamed state governments for the condition of Almajiri system in the country.
massmediang: Woman Cries For Imo Governor’s Help As Their House Is About To Collapse Due To Poor Drainage In Owerri (Watch Video)
Many houses in Owerri Imo State Capital are on the verge of collapsing due to poor drainage system constructed by former Governor Rochas Okorocha’s administration.
This happened after yesterday's heavy downpour. A woman and her two children are in trouble. Her husband who is a Director in the state ministry is living with disability. He is experiencing shock currently.
The house is located along Standard Shoe/Works/Spilbert road, towards Mbieri road.
The house has been exposed by heavy flooding and is about to collapse.
The family affected by flooding in Owerri Imo State calls on Governor Ihedioha to come and save them. Their ouse is about to collapse due to the very poor drainage constructed by Rochas Okorocha’s administration.
The road was very good before Rochas took over as governor. He removed the strong drainage system on the road as he said he wanted to expand the road. The next gutter they built was very poor. After Rochas left as governor the gutter caved in and the woman’s house is about to collapse.
The works/spilbert road is currently about to be cut off by heavy erosion due to poor drainage and shabby road construction by Rochas Okorocha’s administration. The lady speaking int the video is a sister to the man who owns the house. The man is disabled. He is also a Director in Imo State Ministry. His wife and children can be seen in the video standing with the lady speaking. They are calling on the state governor, Emeka Ihedioha to come to their rescue. Let this video go viral until Ihedioha comes to their rescue.
maxman01: Coalition for Revolution (CORE), a political movement of the Nigerian masses and youths, has declared to do a nationwide protest which will commence from August 5, 2019.
The group made the declaration in a statement.
CORE lamented the corruption prevalent in the political system and called for a complete overhaul of the system.
In a statement obtained by SaharaReporters, the group said, "It is quite clear that the Nigerian ruling elites and the current political regimes of both the APC and PDP at all levels of government can never resolve any of the crises plaguing the land as they are co-creation of the corrupt system that paves way for the problems in the first place. The situation has gone from bad to worse and still on the downward slide at an accelerating speed.
"There are currently more than a dozen armed conflicts going on around the country with deadly consequences and massive displacements of people. These confirm the reality that Nigerian is tending more towards a FAILED STATE where barbarism reigns supreme.
“Also, Nigeria is currently the country with the highest level of poverty globally. Daily reports of killings, kidnapping, attacks, corruption, etc are what currently dominates the media reports."
The group called on young people in the country to take over the streets in protest until their demands are met.
It added, "The Nigerian masses and youths, therefore, have no choice but to stand up and storm the streets in protest and with their demands. The change they said never comes easy and if we do not stand up in the struggle for freedom, the chains would remain on our necks.
"Commencing on Monday, August 5, 2019, the Coalition for Revolution, would be leading a nationally coordinated protest movement. We have the right to be in a rage and to protest. The Aug 5 date was arrived at after series of consultations and meetings."
Leopantro: Mrs. Uloma Nwosu, eldest daughter of the immediate past governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha narrowly escaped lynching Friday, by an angry mob comprising youths from Naze community and traders from Alaba Market, Owerri upon the discovery that alleged looted government properties by the previous administration were concealed in more than 15 containers (40 feet) inside a secluded warehouse along Aba road.
In the warehouse, believed to be owned by the former First Lady, Mrs. Nkechi Okorocha and located opposite Alaba Market, next to the All-In supermarket recently sealed by the EFCC, were allegedly found missing sets of furniture, air conditioners and different electronic gadgets used to decorate the Imo International Conference Centre, the Ahiajoku Centre as well as Government House offices but were carted away prior to the expiration of the Okorocha administration. Also discovered in the warehouses were the corrugated roofing sheets removed from the Imo State Secretariat and the state House of Assembly, amongst other things.
The busting of the warehouses, by the members of the Taskforce Committee on Recovery of Moveable Government Assets, attracted traders at the Alaba Market, taxi drivers and youths of the host community who were set to vent their anger on the former governor’s daughter on her arrival on the scene, before the firm and timely intervention of the state Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Ladodo and his men, who were present to forestall the breakdown of law and order.
That, however, did not dissuade the youths and traders as they pelted Mrs. Nwosu with stones as she attempted to leave the scene before members of the recovery team persuaded the angry mob to desist.

That, however, did not dissuade the youths and traders as they pelted Mrs. Nwosu with stones as she attempted to leave the scene before members of the recovery team persuaded the angry mob to desist.
Speaking with journalists at the scene, the Chairman of the Recovery Committee, Hon. Jasper Ndubuaku said the team acted on a tip-off and discovered a massive warehouse where most of the looted government properties were hidden.
He disclosed that some of the properties found in the warehouse include most of the looted items from Government House, such as beddings, window blinds, chairs and tables from the IICC and Imo Trade and Investment Centre, electronic gadgets, air conditioners amongst so many things that would take many trucks to evacuate.
“Luckily, some citizens were attracted and the State Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Ladodo came around and decided that we seal this place.
“The funny thing is that all those 0.7mm roofing sheets removed from the Imo State Secretariat and House of Assembly are all packed here. They removed all those things and then used point 0.35 mm to re-roof the state Secretariat and the House of Assembly,” said Ndubuaku.
Also speaking, the Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Ladodo expressed his delight that his men had been able to forestall a breakdown of law and order.
However, reacting, the Special Adviser to former Governor Rochas Okorocha, Mr. Sam Onwuemeodo said the committee had no business tampering with the warehouse purporting that it was among the properties sealed recently by EFCC for investigation.
He alleged that the committee may after all not be interested in recovery but in looting the properties of the former First Lady, Nkechi Okorocha.
Onwuemeodo also accused the Imo State government of witch hunt.
