RoughCut: Thanks. Maybe its because of this they are wanting to come out on an IPO. If this story is substantiatable, then I don't mind pile some for the next 9months to one or two years at least until they begin to DISBEHAVE. Because if it gets out of the penny stock regime, it will be all smiles. I only wish this story is true, I don't mind quench all the candles and break the sticks and plunge into it, afterall I am a MT to LMer . |

@Roughcut, Sorry I specifically mention you this time, and ,please oblige. What is all the stories around ABC? Are we expecting a fantastic End of year result, and therefore juicy rewards to investors? or they have won a high ticket contract? What has been the push? Please if anyone can throw in more light. |

FOR THOSE ON THE IEI TRAIN, THE MESSAGE IS "STAY WITH US, ITS BETTER TOGETHER". So don't attempt to do CICO with us IEI unveils corporate brand IT was a day of celebration for board, management and workers of International Energy Insurance Plc (IEI) and well-wishers, as the company formally unveiled its corporate brand identity. The occasion, which took place in Lagos, attracted captains of insurance industry, energy, oil and gas technocrats and top government officials and witnessed a milestone in the history of the young but promising and vibrant underwriting company. Speaking during the launching, the chairman of the company, Lt.-Gen. Salihu Ibrahim (rtd), who was represented by Mr. Christopher Briggs, said that the day marks another and singular milestone in the history of the young but very vibrant company. According to him: "We are formally launching our corporate brand, unveiling our new visual identity and our first product. "There seems to be something about the number three and IEI Plc: We work in three Ways: Onshore, Offshore, and General Business; and we also care in three ways: for you, your business and your environment." He said: "International Energy Insurance Plc was borne out of the need to fill an identified yawning gap in the Nigerian insurance industry, and this gap was in the energy sector. It was quite clear to the team of young but very forward-thinking investors who bought out the former Global Assurance Company that there were obvious opportunities in this sector, which were not being fully exploited. "And so the former company, which dealt in your regular insurance business was refocused, got new direction and was renamed. And so began the current journey of evolution and metamorphosis, which we all here to market and witness today." Said he: "The journey continues: the metamorphosis never stops. In our quest to continuously delight our customers, reward and motivate our board, shareholders, management and staff, positively impact our communities' local and global, and inspire our industry, we will keep evolving, in anticipation of the needs of the times and the world we live." "We ask you to stay with us on our journey. As you have come here today and been with us this far, we ask that you continue with us, because it is so much better together, and you are the reason we are here." The Chairman of the occasion and former Commissioner for Insurance, Chief Oladipupo Bailey, in his remarked said the unveiling of the official brand of the company was something to be proud of because the company rose from nowhere to become what it is today. He challenged the board and management that the sky was the limit for the company, adding that they must move forward with zeal to exploit enormous opportunities in the oil and gas sector. |

kabraw: On a more serious note, try mbc securities. They have really impressed me. They answer my mails, return my calls. They listen and are willing to help. Sometimes, though, brokers do have their challenges, especially when there is demand for stocks that are on bid and stocks that are also illiquid. I always watch to see that I leave them some space, so I know that what I am asking for is truly gettable. I have my mandates executed same day, almost always. Call this lady and discuss with her: 08037909450. Before meeting mbc I had used Citycode trust (they still use manual typewriter in their office filled with cobwebs, up till now they can accept N5 to open account ), Mainland Trust (these ones are afraid of internet), Profund Securities (their problem is that if you need your cheque tomorrow, sell your stock the previous month) But mbc has been comparatively much better in efficiency and effectiveness. Only few brokers, if any can give 100% service delivery, "agbero" sometimes de break the rules |

aktopgun: AKT, out of love I am sounding this warning. TRANSCORP fit spoil your candle and scatter all the chart. I know what it cannot do It is risky to try to analyse TRANSCORP, since the company does not yet exist, its only the boardmembers and some falling signposts that can be analysed for now. And they are very mercurial to be subjected to any analysis, that is the biggest advantage VETENARY DOCTORS, over to you It appears the stock is afraid of N4 for now |

jideakin1: MY new broker is MBC Securities. Mbcsec.com. My Account Officer is on 08037909450. You may wish to call her and discuss. She can link you up with one of their guys that trades on the floor. They have been relatively nicer than my other 3 BREAKERS. Their account opening is N5m, don't know if they have lowered it now, but I doubt it. Well, like I have always said, it is easier for me to recommend a girl for marriage than to recommend a broker. Only AKTOPGUN and Blueband understand the behavioural attitudes of BROKERS since they study human psychology |

tkb417: Guru ke?? I be assist guguru if dem go accept me sef Anyway, I really do not know much about Bigtreat. Likely you bought to CICO. I will still say you wait, but if you genuinely believe you have found another stock that can mend the injury, I would rather you cut your losses and move on. Nothing pains more than seeing one's analysis being paralysed daily. I will be glad too if AKT can shine any Colour of those Candles on NIWICABLE. We don't know how far again with the news around it. I am thinking of loading more as soon as it finds its support, if any Though I am a medium termer, I CICO too, but only with stocks I can comfortably stay with, so that even if the price starts falling as soon as I buy, I don't even worry, I will even wish it falls further so that I can load more. Anything that goes up must come down. |

I have checked several sites, all I can find are varying, conflicting prices. At a point I started wondering whether these are still reporting today's proceedings at the NSE. EVERYBODY, please, what is the AUTHENTIC, OFFICIAL PRICE OF TODAY?? Some said AG Leventis closed at N17.10, some said N18.90. More confusing is the AFRIINVEST report I posted above, they reported that Ag Leventis closed high, but in their comments, something else. Very confusing. Pls help, no be the only stock I get leg, then go de report nonsense You see where I am coming from now?? |

FROM AFRIINVEST WEST AFRICA LTD DEALERS PERCEPTION STACO INSURANCE PLC WAS PLACED ON TECHNICAL SUSPENSION TODAY FOLLOWING THE RECEIPT OF APPLICATION FOR A HYBRID ISSUE OF RIGHTS AND PUBLIC OFFER FOR SUBSCRIPTION OF NEW SHARES AT N5.00 AND N5.50K PER SHARE, RESPECTIVELY. CONTACT PERSONS 1.6 BILLION ADDITIONAL SHARES OF INTERNATIONAL BREWERIES PLC WAS LISTED TODAY ON THE FLOOR OF THE NIGERIAN STOCK EXCHANGE. Afrinvest (West Africa) Limited RC 261272, 11/12th Floor, Foreshore Towers, Ikoyi Lagos. Tel:+234 1 270 1680, Fax: +234 1 269 4392. Website: DEALING RESEARCH Today was a sellers market as huge quantum of buy activities pushed several stocks up. Many stocks traded at the highest price for the day and a handful closed with maximum price appreciation of 5%; this led to a further 220 basis points rise of the NSE All-Share Index. Insurance stocks were generally unavailable as the hold-back from investors and speculators continued. As a result of this, most insurance stocks traded less volumes than in recent sessions. Today, all other insurance stocks booked about 5% appreciation except for Crusader Insurance, Niger Insurance and Prestige Insurance. With the expectation of more price gains, there appears to be no end in sight for the bull run. The banking sector also enjoying the market trend, saw First Bank close with unsatisfied bids at the highest price possible for the day, while a market maker prevented Union Bank from sliding below the N45 mark, closing on bid a little above this price. GTB went up by 1.6% despite the fact that huge volumes were traded. Zenith Bank, Afribank and FCMB were the only price losers in the sector shedding 1.9%, 0.8% and 0.5% respectively. Japaul Oil traded for most part of the session at the maximum price for the day but as offers came in unabated, the spread dropped by 1.8%. C&I Leasing also recorded a trading pattern similar to that of Japaul Oil but closed on a flat note. Transcorp, also enjoying a good run from speculative interests, topped the list of most traded stocks with an excess of 110 million units exchanging hands and this did not prevent it from closing with unfilled bids at maximum price. We expect the market to remain bullish for the rest of the week. The NSE All-Share Index continued on its southward path dropping 16 basis points at the close of business today, as result of profit-taking activities of speculators. ABC Transport closed with an appreciation of 3.7%, although it was visibly shaken by overwhelming offers earlier in the session, but unwavering speculative interest ensured it closed up by the close of the market. AG Leventis gave in to offers during the session after its rally was threatened yesterday by speculators and investors seeking to lock-in profits; it shed 5% at the close of the day. Japaul started with a low tempo, but continuous and gradual purchases saw it close at its maximum price for the day with unfilled bids. C&I Leasing remained at the N15 price band with speculative re-entries saving it from losing more than 1.9%. Costain was hit today by a barrage of offers momentarily sending it 5% down, but unwavering interest of investors and speculators ensured the offers were fully mopped up and it closed at the upper 5% band for the third consecutive day this week. DN Meyer and Berger Paints appear to have found support at their current price closing with unsatisfied bids at maximum price. In the food and beverages sector, Dangote Sugar led price gainers in the sector with a 5% upswing. Dangote Flour, however had a wave of profit -taking making it drop by 4.5% from its price. 7-UP despite minute offers, dropped 3.1% and Nestle closed on a near offer with a 5% dip in its price. The banking sector remained dull, recording more declines than advances. Fidelity Bank and Unity Bank both bagged 2.7% and 2.2% respectively in price appreciations. Diamond Bank closed the day with a marginal dip, while Afribank and Zenith Bank lost maximum points for the sector as they shed 3.5% and 1.8% respectively owing entirely to the dictates of market forces. The insurance sector in the same vein recorded a higher number of declines. UNIC, Royal Exchange and Consolidated Hallmark Insurance recorded appreciations in the range of 5%. Equity Assurance, Lasaco, Sovereign Trust Insurance had more sellers than buyers, thus; recording price depreciations in excess of 4%. It is possible that the market will continue to trade sideways for remaining sessions this week. |

aktopgun: I hardly do CICO, and if I must do, its always with stocks with fundamentals. Are you saying M&B does not have sound fundamentals?? Again this reminds me, why are people shouting bear, bear, bear. My portfolio has not reflected its presence because it is still green, except IEI which I wanted to do CICO with and it has dropped giving me opportunity to buy more. Were we expecting the current prices to continue rising without stop? For instance, Footwear N20, AIICO N19, GROMMAC N30, CCNN N90, Conoil N450 Early this year I started piling up First Bank and Diamond Bank as well as NGC, Beta Glass and CILeasing, from the prices I bought them, they are still showing green in my portfolio. Only two CICO I have done and with AIICO at N6.07 and I sold at N7.40, entered IEI which has not yielded result and I am very prepared to wait it out. I have my convinction about the company. That has been me. Right now I am preparing a SELL ORDER for my AGLeventis, the largest loot I will be having in NSE. I am ready to settle for any price tomorrow, even if they are giving 10 for 1 bonus, I am out - from N4.10 to N18 NSE dealt with me last year before I discovered this NAIRALAND, so this year is my turn. I sold my DUNLOP last week N7.16 Hope the guy who bought it is not living close to my house |
