The election postponement is worth every bit of it. But will 6 weeks be enough?. In my own opinion the military would need 6 more months to finish boko haram once and for all. Elections can wait!.

Politics › Re: APC Writes Jonathan, Jega On Using Military For Elections by mrrock: 7:51am On Feb 19, 2015
APC is a satanic party!. Now, I see a pattern.

This's the real reason they came up with a fake audio recording on how Obanikoro and others were supposedly planning to rig elections with the military. Any intelligent person should know by now that the real reason was to tarnish the image of the Nigerian military by making a connection between the military and election rigging after which they will write Jega. What a desperate script by APC!.
Politics › Re: Yoruba Group Accuses Buhari Of Pretending To Be A Progressive by mrrock:
Any educated or and independent thinking Yoruba man without crowd mentality
will NEVER vote Buhari. It's a known fact Buhari have a history of turturing Yorubas and sending them to prison. Even Abacha had more love for Yorubas than Buhari...FACT.

List of people jailed by Buhari under different trumped up charges.

60% of them Yorubas and 97% of them from Southern Nigeria. Buhari had no regard for southerners (especially Yorubas).

1. Fela Anikulapokuti (Fela, a musician was jailed for getting paid about £7,000
after he held a show in London). This's like jailing 2Face because he went to
London and hosted a show and brought in £7,000 to Nigeria.
2. Chief Bisi Onabanjo
3. Chief Bola Ige
4. Chief Adekunle Ajasin
5 Chief Sam Mbakwe
6. Chief Ambrose Alli
7. Chief Apa Aku
8. Chief Jim Mwobodo
9. Chief L Kayode Jakande
10. Chief Alex Ekwueme
11. Chief Obafemi Awolowo (house in Apapa buggled and looted) Were these
the theives?. Were these the troublers of our Nation.
Meanwhile:
Shehu Shgari (house arrest).
Akinloye (resting in London).
Chief Akinjide (resting in london).
Uba Ahmed (allowed to elope with our money to the USA.
Umaru Dikko (cooling self in London. Later his forceful extradition was
sabotaged by insiders.
On on on and on...

That was how Buhari fought corruption. His interpretation of corruption is that
only people from southern Nigeria are corrupt.

95% of those he jailed remained the symbol of democracy till they died. And
it's their many years of labour on democracy that he wants to reap.
Buhari wants to reap where did not sow and I still can't believe that Yorubas
could easily be deceived.

NB: I was still young but I know Buhari ruled with maximum Brutality like Abacha. I need more names of people jailed by Buhari and their offence. If you
have them please post here.
Politics › Re: Terrorists Incur Heavy Casualty In 2 Days Of Nigerian Military Operations - Pics by mrrock: 12:47am On Feb 19, 2015
Very glad the 6 weeks is being put to good use. I believe the military need another 6 weeks after this first round to wipe out boko haram once and for all. The military need as much time as they require to finish this job. Defeating boko haram is definitely more important than holding elections, we already know Jonathan is winning.

INEC is not ready for this election.

This may be the most controversial election in Nigeria's history. I can see it coming after Jonathan declared winner.

Politics › Re: PDP Chieftain Found With 500 Pvcs In Benin by mrrock: 6:50pm On Feb 18, 2015
Keky:
There was a bloody clash between All Progressives congress(APC) and Peoples Democvratic Party(PDP) in Edo State on Tuesday, following the discovery of 500 permanent voter cards (PVCs) at the residence of a chieftain of the PDP.

Trouble started when the PDP stalwart was caught trying to use someone’s ATM card to make withdrawal at one of the new generation banks and was arrested by security operatives who later handed him over to the police.

The police took him to his house to search the place and when they got there, 500 PVCs were found in his room.

He reportedly confessed the PVCs belonged to a House of Representatives candidate from Edo Central.

While the APC in the state demanded that the suspect be transferred immediately to the state Police Command in Benin City, some PDP members insisted that the suspect be left off the hook.

dunkem21:
This confirms that he wasn't ready before. These are the necessary steps he should have taken before the elections.

It is not even enough to test it with the senators alone. He should conduct a mock election in selected communities with fictitious names and test the card reader appropriately.

What happens if the card reader is vandalizedhuh

He should open a Q & A session with Nigerians to further educate us on the processes.

He should not continue in isolation.
This's how a human being should reason!.

If you are close to the government you will understand most of these people on nairaland having hundreds of likes on just saying sai buhari or Gej are either working under the government as SA on social media or they are PA to PA to one SA on social media so whenever they have they have that amount of likes they will show it to their immediate boss and they also employ online merceneries in order to achieve it, cos the only thing politicians wants to hear is that you are going to deliver for them. So don't get deceived.
You're right!. Most people don't know you can buy Facebook likes and twitter followers.

Adminisher:
This is not a good job.
Six years in office you just discovered this on the eve of elections when people have been accusing your government of corruption?. It is low IQ to praise a government for this, they have been in office for too long not to be complicit in it.

Every Nigerian knows civil service ghost workers is the minor corruption source and it is the only one that IPIS software can catch.
The major corruption is in NNPC crude lifting, fuel importation and sales, in contract awards within the ministries, in overpayment for contracts, in non returning of unspent funds yearly. et.c, et.c.... No technology can catch that one.

Because the big thieves are stealing big in NNPC and at the top of the ministries, they left the minor stealing (ghost workers) for networks of middle career people within the ministries for many years. Everybody settling the juniors under him. Note that it is because Bunari is coming that these things are being dismantled now.
Buahari isn't coming or going anywhere. And to suggest this clean up is happening because Buhari is coming is a bit funny cause this's not the first time he's contesting in election.

And, about technology not being able to catch oil thieves, Jonathan have made the below efforts which was frustrated.

1. Jonathan have made effort to stop fuel subsidy payment to oil cabals to avoid any scams in the first place, but you guys refused. Na una say una no want subsidy removed.

2. Ms. Madueke have forwarded a PIB to the senate to reform the oil sector, but you guys again blocked the effort by refusing it's approval. Una no want sign oil PIB to law.

How on earth do you still accuse Jonathan's administration of bigger corruption in oil?
Politics › Re: FG Uncovers 62,892 ‘Ghost’ Workers, Saves N208.7bn by mrrock: 12:21am On Feb 18, 2015
Apparently, this's are the types of good jobs by the Jonathan administration that gets people like OBJ scared. Jonathan is busy blocking all avenues to loot our national treasury from proxy, but some bad belle people don't like it.
The next move would be to track down and jail those who've been receiving the ghost funds.

Dera25:
Please I need a matured advice, I have been having this argument with my fiancee and I want to confirm from the house especially ladies. She said that during antenatal there is a stage the doctor will start putingt his hand on the private part to examine the condition of the baby. But my problem with this is not only to confirm the authenticity of this story but I am feeling so disguise on how the male doctor will be putting hands on someone's dearly wife because of antenatal not even during child birth. No insult please
To be honest, any doctor who want to sleep with any lady patient will succeed. I heard they can even demand to inspect your wife's vagina when they fall in love with her even when such inspection is not necessary. After caressing her it's the woman that will start looking for them later.

The act keeps going on till today. When people started alleging this act was going on by INEC Jega initially denied it was happening. INEC itself have been bought over by APC, that's why they are able to give PVCs to iyalojas and traditional rulers who normally should have no business with INEC.

There's no handwriting on any wall other than it would be a close race.

Buhari went to court for all the times he lost in the previous 3 elections to contest he would've won, if not the election was not rigged. He will do that again.

Travel › Re: A Nairalander's Trip To New Zealand by mrrock:
aytevans:
Day 7
I am currently in Auckland now, one of the biggest city of New Zealand and will board my flight to Queenstown in about an hour through Jet Star airline.
Little more to say about Australia, I left there yesterday and I can say it was a great time over there. Australians are friendly and ready to help and something more impressive about foreigners that lived there. I met two Three Ugandas, Two ghanias, Zimbabwe and even North Africans, they all greeted me first and whenever I telll them I am from nigeria, they hail me and say something good either about music like Davido or Abuja and Lagos. A Nigerian guy I met at the fortitude valley (City center) yesterday morning was very nice to me and he told me that Australia thought him how to be humble. He further explained that many people are very wealthy there in Australia but you will see them walking around on short pants and mere sandals, money is nothing to them. No wonder I was suprise at the rate they spend money just like paper, anyways I won't blame them, they earn much more. I won't go into details but if you are looking for a calm beautiful and rich place to be, australia might just be that best for you.

Fortunately for me, the Nigerian guy took me to his house after lengthy discussion and he later on invited his friend and they drove me to the airport of about 25mins together. Departing from them makes me wanna cry cry they are so friendly and happy.

Least I forget, the owners of Australia called the aborigines are little bit dark in complexion but unfortunately for them, they seems to be the minority in their land of riches, so sad. I saw them on the street and one guy told me that this land belongs to them.

Enough of Australia but if you want to know more, you can always ask.

Getting to New Zealand, it's was a different scenario, so much people at the airport and of different origins . I was told the NZ people are more friendlier than australia though I don't know yet until I experience it. I notice too many tall Big people, I wonder if it's their gene to be that big. Both men, boys, girls and mamas are all in their large sizes I saw at the airport.

I had chat with a man that is from Samoa, guess what? They sometime behave like African. I could see them in their number with skirt like rapper and slippers lol. This is not to offend anyone but it's like those in villages and boldly walking around in the name of summer. The man told me that Samoa is 4hrs flight from New Zealand and 1hr ahead in time so NZ not the FAREST land like I use to think.
He also told me about Fiji and another small country which I can't remember the name, they are all small island and their citizens come to NZ AND AUSTRALIA to study and work.

Thats for now, I will write more as soon as I get what to say grin
There are many Island nations in that region he could be talking about, like Papua New Guinea, Christmas Island, Brunei, e.t.c. Then on the other side American Samoa, Tong e.t.c. Whatever you do avoid drugs in that region. If you hear anything called METH run!

Family › Re: Babyosisi's Marital Advice To New And Intended Wives by mrrock: 12:23am On Feb 16, 2015
T3Amo:
My boyfriend and I started dating in 2010. I actually met him in Nigeria while I was on vacation there. I will be honest and say that initially he was not really my type(looks) but I decided to give it a try because he had a lot of things that I look for in a man and I did not want to be too superficial. Anyways it's a very long story but we have been in a long distance relationship for almost 5 years ( we see each other like twice a year). This guy really loves me and is a good guy but sometimes I feel 'tired of him' or perhaps I am not really in love with him. I feel bad because I wish I did not feel this way but I feel we have kinda grown apart. Am thinking that it's cos we have not really had a normal relationship, that perhaps maybe when we both in same country that things will be better. He has met most of my family and they love him and vice versa except my dad. Although my dad has never met him. He was not really happy about it. My dad says he wants to find out more about him and his family background. He has a job but it's not what he wants and he is not rich, I on the other hand come from a 'well off' family but money is not and has never been an issue. We are both tired of the long distance relationship so he said that I either relocate to Nigeria or he relocates to Us but since he knows that I will not be as comfy in Naija then he is willing to come this side but that is another headache cos of the process involved and while he is here it means that he may be out of work for a long time. He is very good to me and treats me well. There was a time I suspected infidelity but could not prove it. All his friends, family and colleagues know of me. Am actually in contact with his family and his friends. Another issue is we are not sexually compatible and he is also a bad kisser. I don't enjoy kissing him. I have really been trying because he is a good person and men like him and are rare these days. But since we started dating till now I have been battling if he is actually the one for me.
It's clear you're not really into that man. The more you stay with him the more you'll even not like him. Infact, you'll hate him by the time you live with him for 1 year, even 6 months. Do yourself a favour by waiting for a man you will freely like to kiss. Anybody you cannot kiss freely you don't like them. Just keeping it real.
