Never knew Rita Dominic was that old though. Thought her wrinkles were just genetic or something.
CultureRe: The Reasons Why Igbo Young Men Marry Late (part 1) by Mrval20(m): 6:02pm On Sep 07, 2014
Onye ka I chere na o ga agucha ederede gi a niile? O buru na I bu nwafo Igbo, I ga aghota na umunne anyi ndi umu nwoke na-alu nwanyi mgbe o kwesiri na kwa mgbe masiri ha; obughi maka na ego e ji alu nwanyi n'ala Igbo buru ibu.
And your age estimation is a bit outrageous. Personally, I don't know anyone in my community who's up to 40 and is still single.
If you carry out some research, you'd understand that the average age at which men all over the world get married has increased, as compared to the days of our fathers and grandfathers.
This is also typified in other tribes in Nigeria, with the exception of muslim families because their men generally get married very early in life.

CelebritiesRe: Was Chris Oyakhilome Masturbating And Cheating Because He Was Sex Starved? by Mrval20(m): 3:10pm On Sep 07, 2014
I hope you know he's not a celebrity? He's actually a man of God. So if I were you, I would rather not discuss him (or choose my words wisely if I must) and never attempt to judge him or any other man for that matter.
My opinion though, everyone's entitled to his/her opinion.
RomanceRe: Love Songs That Created Impact in Your Relationship by Mrval20(m): 3:02pm On Sep 07, 2014
This really got me thinking and I perfectly understand what you mean by "have you ever been in love with someone that it makes you cry?"....I've been there! We were both in secondary school, she was my first love while I was hers too. Our official love song was "Treasure" (You're the treasure that I seek, you were close to me yet I did not know....etc. It was popular back then in 2009).
It's so unfortunate that I haven't had time (or perhaps luck) to experience the feelings I shared with her again since we parted ways. Unadulterated love, it was.
These days, all the ladies are all about money and that's why I have to forget them, focus and be successful first. No one falls in love with a broke dude.
HealthRe: Would You Rather Use Tissue Paper Or Water To Clean Up? by Mrval20(m): 2:39pm On Sep 07, 2014
The thought of using water to clean up alone makes me uncomfortable.

^^And did someone just say tissue with water sprinkled on it? *Lawd have mercy!!*
CelebritiesRe: Is 2face Overrated? by Mrval20(m): 5:08pm On Sep 05, 2014
cr7lomo: Dbanjs entertainer album sold more than grace to grass and u now refer him to his recent songs , what of 2faces recent album , did it hit big ? .

U Sud understand that 90% of musicians usually have their 1st albums as most successful in their careers
1. I don't know about album sales though, I don't judge an album by the number of sales. Nigerians, including you, know the quality of that "grass to grace" album. If Jayz releases bullcrap today, it'll hit one million sales in five seconds, because he's Jayz and not because the album is good.
2. In fact,Dbanj's "Entertainer" was a great album too and I like some tracks from the album.
3. Grass to grace wasn't 2baba's first album.
Try to understand me.

CelebritiesRe: Is 2face Overrated? by Mrval20(m): 4:30pm On Sep 05, 2014
It hasn't been long since 2face last produced something meaningful (take note), it's just that he hasn't recently released an album with ALL the tracks so on point like the grass to grace album.
2baba isn't overrated, Dbanj is (I wonder how Oyato or whatever track won him an award). For Psquare, I stopped listening to them after the era of "Temptation."
PhonesRe: 10 Universal Android Tips And Tricks That You Should Know. by Mrval20(m): 6:50pm On Sep 03, 2014
My tricks:
1.If you get someone's locked android phone, gently open the case and breathe hot air (like steam) directly from your throat on the screen of the phone and there you go....the unlock pattern appears. Just draw the pattern and unlock the phone like a guru!
Come back here and thank me.

2.For security purposes, please clean clean your android phone screen each time you lock it in order to make the unlock pattern difficult to be cracked using this method.

Guys who address ladies they barely know, or who're even total strangers to them with "baby". I hope you get a hot slap one day.
EducationRe: How To Study At Night Without Falling Asleep by Mrval20(m): 9:47pm On Sep 01, 2014
Nice and useful tips. I apply most of them myself. Only difference being that I wake up by 3:00/3:30am, exercise, brush, shower and dress up for school - I guess this sends the following message to my brain - "baby, it's a new day, let's roll!"....I then read (with full alertness) from that time to 7/8am and leave for school.
Just try to figure out what works for you.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Interactive Thread With Nairaland Owner. Come In With Your Questions! by Mrval20(m): 9:47pm On Aug 31, 2014
The "Trending" and "Recent" features are really awesome. I run to "Recent" when ever I'm bored with topics on the front page and that's how I come across great threads I never knew existed (including this one).
However, I think the "Trending" option has a little problem(maybe in it's algorithm? you know better) on its mode of selecting "really trending topics" because sometimes, topics with just one or two comments and very few views make it to the rank of "Trending". Also, some topics linger there way too long, even when they're not trending anymore. These are my observations, maybe you should check it out too and make some modifications. Thanks.

Ps: your intelligence and humility level is enviable!
Music/RadioRe: Which Is Your Favourite 2face Song? by Mrval20(m): 3:52pm On Aug 31, 2014
All the songs in his "Grass 2 Grace" album. No one, including 2baba himself lately, has released an album of that caliber in Nigeria.....Evergreen!

FamilyRe: Coincidence Or Providence; Who Can Explain This Nocturnal Occurrence! by Mrval20(m): 3:17pm On Aug 30, 2014
In this "dream of every Engineer" kind of dream, I was in the united states lecturing some Engineers on my latest intention and I was really doing great because I'd occasionally get cheers and standing ovations from the intrigued listeners and I was really enjoying myself....Until my sister woke me up to lock my door... Lo and behold, Discovery World channel was on and the lecture I was delivering in my dream was actually what someone else was saying on the channel lol.

Does this have any scientific explanations?

Nairaland GeneralRe: Whats The Longest Time You've Ever Spent Reading? by Mrval20(m): 8:38pm On Aug 29, 2014
During last semester exams, I read for straight eight hours - from 10pm to 6am and then prepared for school. That particular course was one of the worst exams I've ever written because I was even hallucinating in the hall lol.
What matters is understanding what you read and giving your brain the needed rest, not how long you read.
These days, 2-3 hours every day is okay for me.

Nairaland GeneralRe: PHOTOS; Islamic Terrorists ISIS Go On Another Killing Spree, execute 250 Soldiers by Mrval20(m): 8:40pm On Aug 28, 2014
This ISIS issue has convinced me that not all muslims are terrorists. I watched a certain documentary on their activities and you need to see how they butcher their fellow muslims and the level of fear they instill in the living ones. Only God knows what they're really fighting for.

My problem with muslims is that they don't publicly speak out against these radical groups. Imagine a UK Imam was even defending ISIS on a live show.
PoliticsRe: The North's Desperation To Link Boko Haram To Igbos by Mrval20(m): 8:28pm On Aug 28, 2014
If they really believe the Igbos are using their people (northerners) to destroy them, they should really be ashamed of themselves....More like "killing yourself all by yourself".
People really need to think with their head.
CultureRe: Can Minorities Be Racist? by Mrval20(m): 8:04pm On Aug 28, 2014
The American Heritage College Dictionary, has two meanings. Firstly, racism is “the belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.”... In that case, most Nigerians are racist because most of them believe that "race accounts for differences in human character or ability" (every white guy working here in Nigeria is considered to be a genius), and that "a particular race is superior to others" (I don't even need to cite examples here).

@poster, what is this type of racism calledhuh
