"I notice most black people believe there's a correlation between the amount of beating you get when growing up and how well you turn out in life." Not necessarily true. I believe talking "senses" into a child and leading by example is the best method of correction. Spanking the kid once in a while ain't bad though; after all the bible taught us not to "spare the rod and spoil the child". |
Don't trust anybody, watch your own back....Them bros ain't loyal these days. |
Pirates of the caribbean and Lord of the rings. These two are the most interesting movies I've ever watched. I'm not much into movies anyways. |
Nancy took Frisky (that's the dog that Fran and Bob didn't want). From there, you'd arrive at the following: Fran took Pal. Bob took Wiggles. And Larry took Snoopy. |
I'll go for number 3. I do hear highly educated people use number 2 too (in a slightly different context though). Number 1 and 4 shouldn't even be there. #waiting for other answers. |
asalimpo: So true.Oh my God, may God bless you. |
Judge not, that you may not be judged. Also note that even as christians, we've all sinned and come short of the glory of God; and hence don't deserve to enter the kingdom of God, but for His grace. |
I'm an engineering student just like you, so I'm no expert in career advice. However, I really think you should follow your heart and go for what you enjoy doing while it's still early. I mean, there must be at least one thing you enjoy doing, which you'd enjoy studying without struggling, and also make a living out of it later in life. Man, your write up doesn't look like that of a student with a CGPA below 2 points! That simply means you're on the wrong track and would probably be a genius on a different track - JUST FIND IT, BRO!! |
12. Keep a journal. Record your thoughts, ideas and strategies. We have roughly 20,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day. Don't let an idea or strategy go to waste. Never rely solely on your memory. I think everyone should cultivate this habit. I started it some months ago and it's been awesome. You don't have to carry a journal around, just type it into your phone and save. Thanks for sharing, OP. |
You guys should be real. I perfectly understand what the OP wrote and it's funny too. Probably you guys aren't Nigerians. |
Brahms: Exactly, he needs to be very careful. This won't end well if care is not taken. As the owner of Nairaland, I really think he should only comment on threads that mostly has to do with complaints, while doing his other admin tasks. PS: My brother, please change your signature. You're adding insult to injury. |
Mr Seun, If I were you, I wouldn't open this thread or go any further with this particular discussion. Go ahead and apologise to the group of people in question if that's what you intend to do and let this matter end at this stage. My spirit tells me this will lead to something else, outside Nairaland. Everyone should be extremely careful. |
If you're really important to her, she wouldn't type that way because it's obvious she doesn't want to talk to you. Go through a girl's contacts and you'd see there're few people (or at least one person) she truly calms down and chats with. I don't blame girls because If you've created a fake female account online before, you'd understand what these girls pass through in the hands of guys who can't simply read the hand writing on the wall - "I don't want to chat with you". |
Good morning, what's the exact price for 1Gig and 1.5Gig respectively? |
I don't even consider Tyga an average rapper. In my opinion, he's just occupying space. |
shachris: No mate, she've been playing games before she met you. Every naija girl is a player like okocha. The only reason a naija girl would off her phone when she's with you is because she respects you. She would rather not answer the calls than lie in your presence. Not all Nigerian girls are players, remember. |
I'm interested in this offer too but the website is not responding. |
"If she offs her phone when she's at your place, she's a keeper!" WRONG! In fact, that should really get you suspicious. |
That's great. I hope you now understand what "reality" means. |
I know this might be a lie but you just succeeded in making me laugh. LOL *trying to imagine the scenario* |
1one: Most Anticipated Wedding of NairalandMC - s.c.a.p.e.goat. I included hue dots because I don't want to call him out. |
mabeni: y must u do wat is meant to b private in the public؟pppNot necessarily private, at least personal. |
I don't really think a "dislike" button is necessary. If you don't like a post, just save your precious time, ignore it and move on with your awesome life. #myopinion |
Very true indeed. There might also be someone sitting behind/beside you who has been reading all your chats as you type them since you got into the bus. When you eventually catch him/her, you'd look at him/her like - "why can't people mind their business?" Then you go through your chats just to know the stuffs that aren't private anymore. LOL |
I'm happy for you and thank you for sharing your experience to motivate others. Did you get a job after studying in Sweden? If yes, how long did it take? And do you find the job, and life generally, fulfilling in Sweden? |
Please send me a copy, my email address is @yahoo.com. Thank you for all the good works. |
Well, for me, Hip Hop is more than just a music genre, it's among the culture of the African Americans....Unborn babies start creating mixtapes right from the day of conception lol. |
dam007: Mrval20. help discern overdo??.. It would be of help!More like really making it a responsibility, your duty, or as I said earlier on, one of your roles in the family...."man, it's saturday again and I have to wash all these clothes; I hate washing though but I have to do it." My opinion is that if you have to struggle to help her out (even when she doesn't have much to do herself), then you're overdoing it. #My opinion. |
In my view, there's nothing wrong with it... Don't just overdo it and don't make her feel you're playing your role. If there's understanding in the marriage, she'd know you're just being a sweetheart. Don't also start what you can't finish... If you know you wouldn't continue, then don't even start it because when you suddenly stop helping her out, she'd conclude you don't love her anymore or that she's sharing you with someone else. #My opinion. |
Ceasar1: “Just give me a reason” isn't that emotional for me. I find “Someone like you” much more emotional. You mean by Adele? Do you really know the lyrics? |
chemystery: wish i knew this on time. All my relationship ended base on that it's really hurting the way our ladies traded love for money. That's why at the end we later find it hard to love again - i mean true love. That's it bro, but don't regret any experience because whatever you passed through taught you a valuable lesson. Not all of them are that way though, there're still few of them who're willing to love you unconditionally. It's just that it'd take a long time to meet one, and I, for one, would rather invest that time in building my precious future (I mean why do I even have to search for true love when it should be as available as the air we breathe?). @op, I'm sorry for digressing. |
