Lordsonempire: Well this was my first post in nairaland and am really surprise by the way some people reason. This was just what I believe as a person and was not mean to insult or abuse any religion. We have right to believe whatever we choose to believe and practice, afterall it is only God that know those that serve him in truth and the spirit. God is love and he can have mercy on any soul he chooses to have mercy on. I believe we can contribute and put down what we know concerning this topic without insult or abusing each other. May the blessing of the Almighty God be with all of us now and forever more. Amen2
100 Likes!! God is the sovereign master and He decides who's going to be saved or not.

Christianity EtcRe: Some Muslims Will Make Heaven While Some Christians Will Not. by MsNas(f): 2:06pm On Dec 01, 2013
I am a Muslim. Telling me I will not be saved in Judgement day just because I don't believe Jesus is Lord is just laughable. Who are you to tell me I'm gonna be saved or not? The OP isn't sure of being saved himself! And that is the problem I have with some Christians. You are not sure of your chances at Janatul Fridaos So don't force Jesus down my throat. To all his opinions.

I believe Jesus was a prophet. He was sent to the world to preach the gospel just like the Prophet Muhammad(SAW) but worshipping him as God? Nah. Cos that will be flouting one of the 10 commandments. Again....to all his opinion.

You wish to tell me it's that easy to pass through Nigerian Immigration like that? Or even the Customs? Wake me up if I'm sleeping!!

You've never heard of those eediotts refusing people passage just because they refused to drop naira notes? Asking for the money as if it's their salary? The above scenario might apply to other country's Immigration officials, but definitely not Nigeria's! angry

Technically, these people are not supposed to dip hands into your luggage, but NO....Nigerian customs will even dip legs. one had the audacity to tell me I will miss my flight if I don't drop something! Nonsensical fellows

Ricky Rozay: I have a question to ask you. Your friend that was fortunate to print out his TOEFL result online before it got Canceled by ETS.

Did the VO verify his online TOEFL score card, which he submitted to the VO?

Because to me, I feel like one is putting him/herself into TROUBLE @ the Embassy if you take a TOEFL score report that CANNOT be VERIFIED online by the VO. Because most of the VOs verify most standarlized score card one submit to em when requested! They verify it right on the spot.

What if for example, you got lucky to print out your TOEFL score report before it got Canceled by ETS and you eventually take the TOEFL score card to the embassy, and the VO demands to see your TOEFL score card, and you give him/her the Online print out which you were lucky to print out before it got canceled later, and while the VO tried running a Check online on the AUTHENTICITY of your TOEFL score report you showed him/her and to her surprise, the VO discovers something else written on the website (SCORES NOT AVAILABLE) which is much different from what you showed her. Na Gobe be that ooooo.

You will have to give so much explanation to the VO why your scores isn't available up there. And you might even be labeled as being among those students that involve in exam malpractices so your scores got CANCELED by ETS, If you are lucky, the VO might believe your normal ETS story, if you are NOT, you will tell your touching story to others for a lesson to be learnt.

Seriously one can put himself into trouble with this issue I gave up there. And it is such a pity that the innocent students will be the ones to face lots of challenges with this ETS issue.

Because the VO will smell something fishy here. If you are even the nervous type and you are innocent with this ETS issue, you can be judged wrongly by the VO as bringing a FAKE TOEFL score card to the embassy. And once the VO makes his/her final decision on your Student Visa application, even obama cannot change their decision.

So before anyone goes to the embassy, Please, I will suggest you CONFIRM and check your scores online, a day before going to the embassy, to know if your scores are INTACT before you think about printing it out and taking it to the Embassy! Be Mindful!
They don't verify all the time. They verify at their own discretion. I gave the VO two score reports (GRE and TOEFL) and she only looked and gave it back to me.

Also, I'm sure the VOs know the issue Nigerians are having with ETS. So, I don't think he/she has a problem.

Might I even add, my TOEFL report was a print out of what was scanned to me by my school. My picture in it was blurred patapata. You can not even see anybody's face on it. And the school had written some jargon on it to on still, the VO never questioned me

Walspring: You got a nice score for your standardize test. But i will advise you to go to the interview with your parent in your next interview since the VO told you that he/she cant give you VISA unless your parent come along with you.

I think the VO wants to ask your parents some vital question such as where they work, how will they pay for your school fee and so on.

Lastly you need prayer and pray for God unmerited favour and mercy which i always pray for everyday cos prayer is the key to successful visa interview
He/she was not told to bring parents. Someone else was the one insinuating that parents must be present before a visa can be issued

jcaribie: Ms Nas, if you did read what I said, I mentioned that it was my experience. I was denied twice... the second time I was denied, the VO told me I was denied cos I didnt bring my parents, and she gave me the white paper.lol she said "we would like to talk to your parents about their business etc". So, I'm not blabbing. I'm just giving her an advice which I believe is 99.9% likely to work...cos I was in her shoes. smiley no cast me na.. and the thing is, it is not for the parents to answer questions for the child. speak when youre spoken to-rule no.101.lolzzzz. na the pikin battle, but the parents get the war.
You still are not getting my point? You said the VO said to bring your parents so that they can talk about their business, right? Your case is different from his so do NOT generalize. My friend's sister, who is 15 got her Visa Last week and she appeared without her parents. So what are you talking about?

In any case, you're not a VO so you can never know he/she was denied because of the failure of their parents to appear for interview. That said, to all...their own. but I repeat, do NOT generalize.

jcaribie: Did they write "GO ON YOUR OWN"? lol.. the legal age of maturity in Nigeria is 18. the embassy works with that. I am speaking out of experience. It doesnt hurt if you go with your parents, okay? You'll get it. and what questions did they ask you? Also, is your programme a two or four year programme?
Bros, what sort of advice are you giving? Where did they write Bring Your Parents? When I went for my interview, u saw kids who came with their parents and some who didn't. Most of them got their visa application approved. Some came with their parents, but their parents didn't approach the VO with them.

One had her parents with her, but the VO told them to step back and take a seat. In her words, I want to interview your child, not you. Its different strokes for different folks. The guy should look closely at his app and find out why he was denied. Stop, making up stories wink
