TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part5 by MsNas(f): 1:19am On Nov 13, 2013
Walspring: Since u work in ur dad's company, i think u should get a study letter typed on your dad's company letter heading.

Also try and let the VO know that since 2008, u are not just working but u have acquire knowledge in some professional courses/training so that the VO wont be thinking u are out of academic lines for over 4years and how will u cope now that u are going for Msc. I hope this help?
The time she was out of school doesn't matter. I graduated in 2009 and started my Msc 2013. Her interview was on point. Probably the VO was having a bad day. It wouldn't hurt to go with a study leave letter though.

TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part5 by MsNas(f): 5:17am On Nov 12, 2013
flynbird: Thanks dear. Called the library but they don't have an opening yet. I've put up another application for "University Information Call Center" Do you know if Wellsfargo is the best bank in terms of cost to use? I just found out they charge a minimum of $3 per month on any type of account. But they'll waive it only if you maintain a minimum of $500 throughout the month or you use your card a minimum of 30 times a month. How true is this?
Keel trying and looking around. Anything might pop up. You could just jam an opening one day.
As per Wellsfargo!!! Which kain account is that? shocked Use your card 30 times in a month? That's crazy and unheard of (at least for me o) RUN. Try Bank of America and see what's obtainable first. Chase Bank sef.
flynbird: Is T-mobile cost effective? I pay $50 monthly for slow internet. Its got unlimited text and calls and they give out the first 500mb internet at 4G speed and after that It slows down to 2G not even 3G. I don't have WIFI at home.
I use T-mobile too. To me, it's quite cheap anyways. I rarely use my 4G cos I'm surrounded by WiFi. Anywhere I go, it's highly likely I get wifi. Come to think of it, the 2G network isn't that bad. Compared to where we're coming from (Nigeria) American 2G is like Nigerian 4G.
Another option is to pay an additional $20 for full 4G coverage. T-Mobile is like one of the cheapest here though, my friend uses Verizon. She pays $70 monthly and her data is measured. She can't use more than her allocated data per month. Sprint and AT&T are expensive too.
EducationRe: Lagos To Ban Unintelligent Students From Public Schools by MsNas(f): 10:31pm On Nov 11, 2013
theoctopus: Stop lying. Public schools in Lagos are not free. You people are too full of lies. You cannot even get admitted without showing your tax clearance. Even poor jobless widows had to pay a minimum of 5k to get so called tax clearance for their wards. LASG is a big fraud as ever! Thieves! Ole!
Are you for real? So paying tax and school fees equal the same thing.
FYI, paying your tax is mandatory not optional.
Most of our goods and services in Nigeria aren't taxed. That's why people cry when told to go and pay taxes or get tax clearance. Here, if you buy pencil, you pay tax. But chewing gum, you pay tax. That's how it works. Educate yourself wink

flynbird: Oh! What I've been clicking on was employment for lecturing kind of work. I didn't know there's anything like student career center. Going through the website i just found out there's a career office on campus and they have a link on the website where I'll sign in with my student ID. But I've tried to login and it wouldn't go through. Hope its not restricted to only those that have spent at least 2 semesters. I'll have to call them to find out.
I don't think it's restricted. I registered with my school's career services even before I left Nigeria. Did you try registering with the portal before you tried logging in? Either way, they should have an office on campus. You might just pop into their office and see what they got for you.
flynbird: No I haven't been to the library or cafeteria.
Check those two places, you have a chance of finding something there. wink

flynbird: Are there other ways to apply for the campus job apart from the school website?
Did you check the library and cafeteria? They usually have lots of jobs at the beginning of the semester. You probably didn't get one fast because you didn't start searching early. Go there and ask. Nobody will post such jobs on websites. I dunno if your school has a career center. They usually have a list of on-campus jobs

First of all grin grin grin grin grin

Trust me, say 70% of those people granted citizenships are those Asians (Indians, Pakistanis, Lebanese angry, Chinese and co). The Passport is only gonna give them an avenue to commit the crimes they've been committing legitimately. Afterall, they'll just tell you "Shebi we are Nigerians too". They will demand a share of their own national cake and all
Its angry angry angry
