Not true. Lebanese africans hold citizenship in many west african countries from sierra leone to cote d'ivoire to Mali to Nigeria. Legacy of the French and British Empire. They just stopped living in the francophone/anglophone cocoon and ventured into English speaking west africa. True to their trading and wanderlust from their ancient Phoenician roots Everywhere they go, they are a trading people. The indians brought over to kenya by the british colonials were overwhelmingly gujarati, and even in india, they are of they are predominatly merchant caste.

There are alot of asian Africans in SA, zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi etc . We gave America Obama. There is nothing we can do about this than to keep on promoting education and socialization in Nigeria.

Yoruba and middlebelt muslims face heavy westernization threats almost as much as christians. As a younger and more united urban population emerges, these extremisms will gradually die down.

I also think we need to keep on including muslims in Nigerian media. The southern controlled media almost completely excludes muslims.

A new surprise. And a big one too. Its almost like the way brazil excludes blacks and mulattos from the media, billboards and entertainment by trying to present it as a white country when the demographics​ show the exact opposite.

If you are going to be getting around and meeting people alot, i suggest you learn a few kiswahili phrases. In as much as many kenyans can and do speak English, its kiswahili that is king around these parts. Have you heard of the saying, speak to a man in a language he understands and it will go to his head, but speak to him in his language and it goes to his heart.

Anyways, am one of those people i life you always want to do things proper proper. Like taking photos my broda. Please, your photos are not doing much justice to the city. Is it a phone camera. Which phone? I suggest you load Retrica app onto your phone and also try and take more photos .
I have alot of questions to ask you my man. The first one: How have you adjusted your stomach to kenyan food. Am a serious foodie and i have been to several parts of africa andi can assure you west african food is veeery different from East african food which is very far from north african and southern african food. Well, i have lived in southern africa, the difference in our foods is minimal.

You indeed have countries in which several codes are in operation. It is called Federalism which Nigeria practices although it is not popular in Africa. Different parts of a country might have cultural differences and this might neccesitate the creation of another tier of government like State governments or regional governments. This governments have the right to make laws in some areas that concern their territory without the interference of the Central government. That is where the power of some Northern States to adopt shariah comes from. However, there are areas in which only the Federal Government can make laws eg marital,police affairs and laws dealing with corruption.
So uniform code is not a prerequisite for the formation of a country.

Does nigeria have a constitution? If so, what is its purpose?

The largely illiterate north is the region with political power,yet their region continues to drag nigeria down statistically.All the development here and the guys engaging you are from the south.They have managed to build an enviable entertainment industry and a big economy which dwarfs many more stable African countries' economies in spite of the aberration in power.

Speaking of the north of Nigeria, explain something to me like am a 2 year old. Explain to me why within the same country Nigeria, there exists 2 legal codes: sharia and common law. If it is true that this happens,as it definitely is, how then can you call it one country, because my understanding of the definition of a country is that everywhere within it obeys one code.

Botswana and Namibia are extremely small countries of 2 million people each, with large land masses of abundant rescources, just like the population of Port harcourt only, covering the whole Nigerian landmass with all the natural rescources therein. They should even be comparing 1st world nations by now considering their tiny population and abundant rescources, so i really don't consider them succesful at all.

Comparing SA to Nigeria is quite unfair because SA is over 100 yrs older than Nigeria. They started building their country at the same time with countries like Brazil, Argentina, Chile e.t.c how can we ever equal them in infrastructural development? However, we equal them in human development and economic growth.

Kenya is not such a bad country, at least for a fairly populous black african country, they are not doing that bad. People like you feel Kenya is better than Nigeria probably because you don't understand the in and out of Kenya.
I myself used to think that Kenya is better than Nigeria, not until i discovered how they work. What Kenya does is that they go for the very best of quality infrastructure, human development and services only in a few selected parts of their cities/country/population and they leave a huge chunk of the remainder to rot away (to their fate). So by the time you end up seeing only their few developed parts, you conclude that they are better than Nigeria (which is not really true).
The way Nigeria works on the other hand is different! Our system more or less believes in even development of our people and even spread of rescources. We don't set world standards for only a tiny portion of our population/cities/states and abandon the rest to utter despondence or neglect. This is why we have a far higher percentage of urbanized, more socialized, enterprising, exposed and industrious population than Kenya or even East Africa combined (if not for core-northern Nigerians dragging us backwards).
