Christianity Etc › Re: How The 12 Apostles Of Jesus Died by MtuMsuper: 4:59pm On Feb 08, 2017 |
The apostles knew and understood the geography of the Roman world and beyond. Look at the strategic placing of all of the places they chose to go: Mauretania (present day north Africa countries of Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia ), Ethiopia (ancient Axum), India, Britain, Greece..... They knew the Roman Empire province of Judea sat at the confluence of 3 great people centres(Africa, Europe and Asia ) and it was from there that they should strategically plan the advance of the gospel in an uncanny geographical advantage. And it worked for Europe as this was the continent that Christianity spread deeply. To some extent Asia as well (consider the presence of the nestorian church in the Far East and India ). Makes me wonder: why did the early church not penetrate beyond Ethiopia whose ancient rulers formally forsook Judaism as state religion in the 4th century. Why did the early church or evangelical efforts not penetrate tropical Africa beyond Ethiopia |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by MtuMsuper: 7:54am On Feb 05, 2017 |
Olu317: you are ABSOLUTELY wrong about your perception. If you are conversant with countries with high crime rate, Nigeria is far behind amongst many nations of the world including your so claimed Kenya. If United States of America as proclaimed to be the best country in nearly all sphere of life and yet her law hasn't checked the rate at which her crime rate with the highest rate of gun shot with less than five minutes averagely, then you need be well informed. Even your so called is being heavily challenged by Al Shabab terrorist organization that can't be compared with Boko Haram. If you place ratio based on population of 180,000,0000+ compared to Kenya's population projected 46,000,000 + (not going by the last census in 2013 which specifically pegged Kenya population at 44,500,000)then you will understand that your country men aren't conservative at all on crimes . This ratio will be around 4:1 if Nigeria is truly embedded in crime but this ratio on Criminal activities of Boko Haram and other related crimes are definitely lesser than Nigeria's citizens true crime rate within or outside her shore . Take for instance, how many Nigerians are jailed yearly for crime rates compared to her actual population? This is a pointer to who Nigerians are. Like I saw in one piece about Nigerian ladies, from One Somali Kenyan guy , claiming he met a Nigerian lady or liked them(Nigerian ladies). The question you need asked some of these ladies you met are; where is she from in Nigeria? The truth is that many Africans men or women did find their way to Nigeria in the past when Nigeria passport was very good and free from all sort of condemnation from the western world. But these set of Africans including some from your country men came to process the International Passport through the back door and many abused it and did a lot of crimes in the name of Nigeria, mostly outside the shore of Africa. This was a period when Nigeria's Naira was on equal value to US dollar or near equal in value (N1.2=$1). Having opined the true nature of things, I hope you will understand that inferiority complex has a way of deterring people which had been a problem to your country men from traveling outside your country. I am tempted to to remind you that despite near same period of exposure to many tribes and ethnic groups being captured as slaves during slave trade in Africa, Nigeria is still ahead of your country in terms of technology and Nigerians are more developed than you in terms of self individual development. Many Nigerians excel in western world. The Donald Trump of USA couldn't resist the knowledge and experience Nigerian to be in his cabinet despite his hate speech against Africa. Don't remind me of BARRACK OBAMA because he wouldn't have being the President of United States of America if he wasn't a HALF CASTE. And he nearly made America loose her position as the leader and role model among the nations of the world which made Republican won the presidency at the White House. He indeed caused some many problems for Africa countries especially Libya, that has been in turmoil since Gaddafi was killed. All thanks to your Half Kenya, half Irish blood of America descent!. Nobody in the world want to know the your good deed but judge you on your mistakes, these served him right!.And lastly, what did he do toward your economic growth? Ponder over this very well to see the truth. HOGWASH!!!! |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by MtuMsuper: 7:43am On Feb 05, 2017 |
Olu317: Definitely you won't see Kenyans flooding Nigeria at all because of the peculiarities of survival instinct. Kenyans can't stand the test of time in Nigeria. I guess this among many factors make Nigerians excel wherever they find themselves. The Western world's exposure has given Nigerians unequalled advantage to survive anywhere in the world compared to other Africans. Nigeria's Glo has the most advanced state of the art communication technology gadgets installed in Africa. Putting this in to consideration the effects of having access to the globe especially the well developed economies of the world .......says the man whose country happily drops bombs on its own citizens.... says the man in whose country more than 100 million defecate in the open..... says the man who thinks he needs western validation.....says the man who has just openly admitted his country is a place to survive as opposed to be enjoyable....... With all the options available to an average kenyan, he would never be found even dreaming of living there. Sorry if I sound so harsh, but the truth is a drug best taken raw |

Marcelo290: Some people are very daft to say the least, u keep comparing the whole of Nigeria to one developed city in a country, why not show us other places? or u think the whole country looks like that?
my problem with most of them is that they don't even travel, they keep thinking Nigeria is the worst due to what they see and hear, some of u need to visit these African countries u compare with Nigeria and u would know some countries are still in the suffering dark.
Kenya is developing, buh comparing it with Nigeria? Hell No! I would rather u compare Lagos or Abuja with Nairobi and not calling Kenya, there after u start posting pictures from Nairobi alone... some would just jump to criticize Nigeria at the slightest mention. #SMH for una Yet your countrymen flood our country and try to think they "own" this place. Some for proper reasons, but most for wrong reasons. All over the place. You will never get see kenyans flooding your beautiful 9ja, will you? |
Family › Re: Woman Advertises Cheating Husband On Newspaper In Kenya (Photo) by MtuMsuper: 7:18pm On Feb 02, 2017 |
AdoraAmadi: A woman who was desperate to save her marriage and stop her husband from falling into the arms of younger women employed an unfamiliar way to achieve this.
The woman who was only identified as Wanjiru Kamami or Shiro, published an advertisement on a Kenyan newspaper complete with her husband's image, his phone number and his National Identification number. The translated ad above reads:
"This is to inform the general public that the person whose photograph appears above is the husband to Wanjiru Kamami (Shiro) since 1982, (sic) therefore if you see him getting lied to with school girls or young women at the market, tell him to go home or call my number 0751993571."
Many Kenyans expressed shock on the woman's desperate move while others found the whole situation hilarious.
Your thoughts?
http://www.lailasblog.com/2017/01/woman-advertises-cheating-husband-on.html That is not an authentic Kenyan ID number. Op and fake news, where's that zuma pic?

Politics › Re: Nigeria Will Not Quit ICC: Foreign Ministry by MtuMsuper: 12:39pm On Feb 02, 2017 |
The keen student of African geopolitics understands that all decisions regarding foreign policy in African francophone countries come directly from Paris in that that obscene relationship between France and her former (lol) colonies, called (stupidly) "Francafriqe". Most other mainly anglophone (i detest that term ) ,have policies crafted so at the behest of the great powers, but not entirely true though. Most lusophone countries maintain a barely concealed interest in African affairs, they are more concerned with spreading the language of conquest (Portuguese ) ,watching Brazilian media and dancing kizomba, than attending to matters of continental interest. Arabophone countries are the guest who only show up when there is a guarantee of cake at the party - the neighbours who only cry when they're out of salt and would never say hi when they pass you on the street.
Which brings me to the position my country ,Kenya, has taken in this debate on ICC.
We have lobbied hard for the ICC exit yet done nothing for the lives lost during the unfortunate episode in 2007/8 after elections. Lives lost, property destroyed, no prosecution for perpetrators , no justice for victims. Most vocal African country for ICC exit.
I need a stiff drink. |

I have a YouTube video somewhere, i can't find it now which tells of the story of the capture of an ancestor from igboland. Phones › Re: Airtel May Exit African Telecommunications Scene by MtuMsuper: 8:25am On Jan 25, 2017 |
idupaul: Airtel Nigeria is Bhartis biggest operation in Africa , it's no news that Buhari's poor service leadership has reduced the Nigerian economy in growth to total rubbish only behind that of Zimbabwe as we speak . Do you need anyone to tell you that the bad economy led by Buhari has definitely increased the cost of operation and lowered revenue for Airtel Nigeria ..Keep taking BUHARI serious at your own peril ,are you aware for more than a year he has not deemed it fit to replace the minister of labour and productivity who died in a car crash . Rubbish assessment!! Have you asked yourself why Vodafone and it's affiliates always seem to be ahead of the pack wherever they are present? Same goes for MTN. Airtel is very poor at reading market fundamentals because they choose to staff the very important marketing role with persons from the Asian sub continent as opposed to locals who know the market terrain much better. |

You Nigerians can learn alot from other African countries once you shed that unhelpful "Giant of Africa " tag. We Kenyans have a very comprehensive database of people and i have personally never met any adult (18+) Kenyan without a national ID. It is impossible to conduct any business without one where identity is required. Its the first thing a secondary school leaver does upon finishing school (nowadays its while you're still at school). You cant open a bank account, get admission into a university, seek govt services etc without one. https://softkenya.com/kenya/kenya-id/
