Obasanjo's "strategy for winning" simply means to rig the election. But ACN are also master riggers. Come 2015 we shall see who out-rigs the other in Lagos governorship between PDP and ACN. |
kindly send a copy of the maggi e-book to - musaid2002@yahoo.com. Thanks |
Mhudi: I used it starting july 2012 but after some few applications my skin started fading as if I was bleaching and I had to stop. I am dark in complexion and I like it and so reverted to using vaseline maintain my dark complexion. The best cream I ever used was Skin Balanced lotion between 2003 and 2004 but it is no longer in the market and it is very unfortunate that I cannot find an alternative for it after more than eight years.I used to think shea butter causes skin bleaching because my light-skinned daughter gets "lighter" when she uses it. But I just discovered that the Skin isn't bleaching; shea butter actually rejuvenate the skin by ridding it of dead cells. the end result is that your skin regains it natural appearance and looks smooth and "lighter". |
elelem: How do you take care of shea butter odourThe type sold in my home area has a strong smell, but I discovered that in parts of yorubaland, eg.Ilorin, their shea butter is odourless and its original. So if u cant stand the strong odour, go for the odourless - the quality is the same. |
luluosas: My dear, you definitely need a man around you right now.Probably the best advice so far. But chances are she wouldn't listen because she is maybe more interested in relationship (euphemism for illicit sex). Nowadays many would continue changing partners in the name of relationship forgetting that marriage is the honourable thing for any serious person instead of a life of fornication /adultery. |
seyibrown: If those in pictures are (or were) brides-to-be, they aren't looking too happy o! These fine able-bodied women can't find for husbands on their own without the government marrying them off? It is the reason for the increase in the untimely death of men in Zamfara that needs to be eradicated or reduced.Govt "marrying them off" is incorrect. There are women, many of them with children but their husbands hav died, and there are many men around who are unmarried but wish to hav a wife. The govt does not force anybody into marriage. These eligible men and women agree to marry between themselves. The govt comes in only to support them with a little capital so that each couple is able to carry on without continuing dependence on govt. The officials of the govt agency involved also act as marriage counselors. If this is not a good policy in support of family and societal stability, what is? |
seanet01: Ya papaWishing u quick recovery from ur condition. |
free2ryhme: and u born children everywhere later turn almajiri abiAlmajiris are human beings too. Are u advocating abolition of marriage because of almajiri problem? |
seanet01: No wonder this region is very r.e.t.a.r.d.e.d.You are the r.e.t.a.r.d.e.d for failing to see the need for govt to intervene positively in peoples lives. kudos to knsg. |
So if I drink beer (alcoholic) but dont get high or drunk, its okay... That is, I take beer for its refreshment purposes/effects not for its intoxication then its okay according to Islam. Is that right?!
Beer and all other intoxicants used as such are haram in islam. It is still haram no matter the quatity taken. The alcohol in beer and other liquor is meant to intoxicate; by contrast, alcohol in medicines is solely for pharmaceutical purposes hence the difference in the ruling concerning the two. |
. 100 naira is even too much. In Yobe state where I did my NYSC, they were literally paid to attend school. Free school uniforms, free books as well as free meals.
Every state in nigeria can do this if education is given priority. As for cut-off marks which has generated so much furore, in the north the exams are conducted cleanly, without cheating and other wuruwuru prevalent in parts of the south. |
Most cough and cold medicines are intoxicating, does that make them HAram in Islam?!
They are not haram as long as you take the medicine for its curative effect. But if you take anything, including those medicines, with the intention to get intoxicated it becomes haram (even if it's ordinary water)-putting yourself in a state of intoxication via any means is haram. |
There's controversy over whether non-alcoholic beers are actually 100% alcohol-free. Some experts say that non-alcoholic beer actually contains a little amount of alcohol. The prophet has admonished that "leave what you are in doubt for what you are not in doubt". Since non-alcoholic beer is controversial concerning its alcoholic content, its advisable to avoid it altogether - afterall beer, whether tagged non-alcoholic or not, is not food that you cant do without. |
babyosisi: That is a teaching hospital ,one of the best in NigeriaYou dont hear about deaths in childbirth in the USA because pregnant women go for prenatal checkups and are delivered in hospital. But in Nigeria many pregnant women dont see any doctor at all or replace prenatal medical checkup with prayer! Some pastors even on TV tell pregnant women not to go to hospital-and they believe. oftentimes a woman would be detained in church in the expectation of a miracle and only rushed to hospital when it is too late for the doctors to save her life. As long as this attitude continues death in childbirth is not likely to decrease in nigeria. Worse still, poverty is a serious challenge and medical facilities may not be readily available especially in rural areas. |
babyosisi: That is a teaching hospital ,one of the best in Nigeria? |
REVOLUTNIS: Even when the worshipers and the residents of the area confirmed the killing? If NEMA should not be believed, why should CAN be believed? |
vladimiros: OYA CLAP FOR YOURSELFThe States get their 13% derivation all the same.Maybe u belong to the few who are pocketing the billions and diverting attention from their thievery by demanding for more derivation to pocket. Thieves should remember that one day is one day. |
These posters are a deliberate attempt to divert attention from Gej's abysmal performance and pervasive corruption of his govt. They are trying to get people occupied with debating Gej's candidature and forgetting the bad roads, insecurity, treasury looting etc which Gej has refused to tackle. |
chingyjant: Wow see roads for Sokoto.Irrespective of Boko Haram wahala dem still get fine fine roads. How i wish BH go enter Delta state maybe the yeye Governor go give us good roads like theseThe south should hold their governors to account for the 13% derivation. This money alone would hav made a huge difference had it not been largely stolen. Take just bayelsa as e.g- all the govs of this oil-rich but impoverished state since 1999 should be held responsible for its pathetic condition. There is poverty in the North too, but believe me given what accrues to the northern states from the federation account they are making better use of their allocation compared to the south. |
Good that NEMA is refuting the fabricated/exaggerated report. In fact, reports of casualty figures of atrocities in the NE are most often exaggerated falsehood. Armed robberies, murders, banditry are all attributed to bh as if these crimes did not exist before bh. Casualty figures are mischievously hiked and the victims' religious identity altered - in Chibok we now know that it was 2 people that were killed, but the exaggerated initial report said 15 christians including the pastor were killed in a church attaack on xmas eve. And the talkative CAN leader went on air spewing verbiage as usual- maybe these false reports are even cooked up by them because they cant be trusted on anything. God save naija |
Prayers alone wont change our leaders. Their mistakes and shortcomings should be pointed out to them. No insults, though. In any case hav we not been praying for our leaders for ages without results? |
The answer is obvious - u cant be comfortable in this part of the world appearing half-nake/d in public (WE cant even do that even in our homes before our children.) I dont understand why we copy oyibo so sheepishly. It would hav been a different thing where u hav segregated beaches for male and female (as in Iran). |

Pls, pls, pls dont tell off your mum even if u feel she's in the wrong. In our African tradition there is a way to go about it easily - all u need to do is keep your cool and bring in an elder to intervene. The "elder" doesnt hav to be a relation - any reasonable person u know can play that role. If ur mum is the persistent type, u and ur wife just hav to manage her sensibly until ... well, she's no more capable of her meddlesomeness. U will hav to "work" on ur wife seriously to calm her in this delicate situation u ar in. With unswerving patience on ur side, u and ur wife will hav the last laugh. Patience and more patience is what u need most. Goodluck. |
manny4life: Our messiah will come from somewhere. America nor China won't send their politicians or lease their leaders to us. One viable solution though is revenge on the system. If there were groups who went after these guys in the three tiers of government, they'll be forced to seat up - by fire by force. Are u suggesting bh type activity or what exactly are u alluding to? |
dulphines: Honestly, u need to see the way this malams handle animals. Those creatures feel pains just as we do. I see some wicked Nigerians stack over 20 goats in a car trunk and u will see the poor animals gasping for breath and space. Animals are treated better in more civilized contries. I think the law to protect chickens and animals in general is nt out of place.God bless u for this post. The way we treat our animals reveals our sense of compassion and our humanity. Animals are living beings like us: they feel pain and hav emotions. Loving your neighbour includes treating every living thing around you with care and compassion. Kudos to Jigawa State for this bold intiative. Sometimes the people we regard as backward are better than us- a fulani man will never ill-treat his animals, in fact he cares for them as if they are his family member, and indeed they are! Today set free that bird u hav mercilessly imprisoned in a cage - u want mercy do show mercy urself. |
u make me laugh in Togo. I'm a kwaran, currently schooling there. Bt i wnt advice any guy expecially does that ar nt frm kwara to marry a lady that is frm ilorin. Ilorin mesu jan ba, ere kini aja ba ekun se?
The bride is from kwara but not ilorin. Dunno why ilorins hav this dubious reputation with outsiders. The guy appears to hav married his tribe's girl if his name suggests his origin. Both of them are admirable - natural, no pretensions:the bride didnt wear these useless make-ups. The wedding looks like a simple ceremony- no extravagance. Wishing u happy married life. |
omenziate: Sheikh Gumi, talk to ur brodas in arms. U virgin seekers.Sheikh Gumi had condemned boko haram from the onset, for which they dispatched two suicide bombers to kill him (the bombs exploded with the bombers before they could reach him). Many imams especially in maiduguri were not so lucky. Sheikh gumi is a person who speaks his mind on a number of issues- he is very blunt, maybe because of his background as a former army officer. |
I think it would be better for this guy to return to nigeria. If does that, he will be re-united with his parents and he'll be an inspiration for people in his kind of situation. Nigeria needs him more. There is no way he will not get a job in nigeria today. |
Dede1: Nigeria’s main problem is rooted in tribalism and religion. The only remedy to Nigeria’s misery is disintegration. It is a perceived fact that the Republic of Igbo-land will try to avoid the instances of being shamed for lacking behind Republic of Odua in terms of socio-politico-economic development, vis-à-vis. There shall be a healthy competition as well as cooperation among the nation states. In addition, there shall be a genuine fight against corruption among the nation states. Why are Igbo-dominated states (SE) not doing better than other states even now. From the look of things, if u had republic of igboland today armed robbers, kidnappers and ritualists will render the place ungovernable. Talking security, there is not a single town in SE today that one can feel safe in from kidnappers and robbers- and the perpectrators are not spirits but igbos (with all the violence by security forces and their boko haram partners in d mayhem, maiduguri is safer than anywhere in SE today). Disintegration will not solve anything, it is the same people who are ruining nigeria that will still be in charge. By the way, how many countries do we disintegrate into - 36, 776(lgas), 250(tribes)? |
megasoul: Na 4 9ja I dey hear say scorpion bite personMaybe this kind of incongruity makes our country all the more interesting. i dont know about you, but if i'm out of this country for just a few days i get homesick- Why? I dont know! |
