So read and be educated because no knowledge is ever useless.Even from the posts u know the mind of most Muslims.Out of ignorance many non-muslims equate activities of terrorists with Islam, which is like saying Christianity is violent because American Christians are killing innocent Muslim women and children in Pakistan and Afghanistan or because Christian kidnappers and armed robbers are having a field day in southern Nigeria.

dabrake: Depending on the culture. in uyo, it would be no big deal as the syntax for greeting a girl is by hugging her. you would even hear girls say ". . . i don't give guys a handshake. Ii hug them . . ." so it's a tradition there. i can't count the number of girls i've had a photo shot with where I held their waist, arse or cling to them tightly. but like i typed before, it is 'locationally' oriented.
Yea, where promiscuity is the order of the day hugging just anybody "wuold be no big deal"

My girlfriend and I have been together for good five years but recently she saw a picture of me with another girl and she broke up with me, after I explain to her that the girl in the picture is just a friend.
When u started did u vow never to break up ("until death do us part"wink? Even if that was the case, we see people dump the oath with reckless abandon. U spent 5 years probably fornicating all through. Now the lady says enough. Doesnt she have the right to call it quits? May be she's now born again after 5 years of iniquity. Pls go look for another sex mate.

TroGunn: [b]Boko Haram: Northern Christian Group Responds to CPC Chieftain

A Christian group, Christian Awareness Initiative of Nigeria (CHAIN) has responded to the statement credited to he chief strategist of the Congress for Progressive Change, controversial former minister, Nasir Elrufai, who yesterday threatened the government with reprisals should they go ahead with their attempts to go after suspected Fulani herdsmen and mercenaries who had unleashed a reign of terror in Plateau state in the last few weeks, killing hundreds of innocent people including a serving senator and a member of the Plateau State House of Assembly.

Elrufai had posted an inciting post on his twitter and facebook profile.

In response, Christian Awareness Initiative of Nigeria (CHAIN) issued the statement below;

The Masquerade Has Been Unmasked

"Christian Awareness Initiative of Nigeria (CHAIN) notes with dismay the reaction of the Northern Muslim establishment to the recent order by the Plateau State Special Military Task Force to certain Communities to temporarily evacuate their villages in order to minimize civilian casualties as the Military perform internal security operations to find and arrest mercenaries who were behind the deaths of hundreds of innocent Nigeria citizens including a serving Senator and a member of the Plateau State House of Assembly.

We are astounded that these characters who were curiously silent when the mercenaries were killing innocent men, women and children have suddenly found their voice when it comes time to detect and apprehend those behind these killings.

What are we missing here? Are these characters in support of these mercenaries or in support of the Nigerian state? Where was the voice of Nasir Elrufai ,Dr Tilde ,Dr Babangida Aliyu  and those now vocal against the planned action to go after the killers when the mercenaries carried out a series of genocidal attacks?

These same people who are threatening bloodshed in 2015 if they do not win elections are now threatening the Nigerian state if the military should go ahead and conduct their internal security operations. Is it not time to ask if they have been the ones sponsoring these attacks? Shall we continue to breathe the putrid air and pretend that we do not know who amongst us has fouled the air?

Only a couple of days ago, these same folks were in the media raining insults on the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, when he testified before the U.S. Congress and asked that they designate Boko Haram as a terrorist organization. How can any sane person attack such a move? Do they know more than they  are saying?

When the Shehu of Borno and the Deputy Governor of Borno state were almost killed by Boko Haram, Pastor Oritsejafor led the Christian community to condemn the attack. But when three churches were attacked in one weekend in Kaduna where Dr Babangida Aliyu Chairman NGF,Dr Tilde ,Elrufai and many of their supporters live they were silent and only spoke to condemn the reprisal killings.

The world is watching and we say very clearly that we support the patriotic decision of the military authorities to issue a temporary evacuation order to the Fulani communities in Plateau state so that they can avoid civilian casualties as they hunt for the murderers and terrorists who killed hundreds of innocent victims. This tactic has been used in Europe and America and is a civilized practice covered by the Geneva Convention and meant to stem civilian casualties.

We therefore call on all and sundry in Plateau to ignore the call by these selfish religious and regional champions and like minded individuals who have asked them to ignore the military order and stay put. To Dr Babangida Aliyu and Elrufai who has threatened that the Fulanis would retaliate if any of them are killed we at Christian Awareness Initiative of Nigeria say that the masquerade has eventually been unmasked and we hope that the authorities are watching. We also call on the International Criminal Court to take cognizance of this statement by these regional champions and their co travelers with a view to bringing them to justice wherever and whenever."

CAIN is a terrorist group in religious garb. I dont condone any form of violence, even the mundane parent on child. But let truth be told: when burukutu-dazed Berom militants were having "fun" killing fulani women and children CHAIN didn't see anything wrong with that. Did they think that the Fulani will not fight back? Whatever be the case, however, the killings by both Berom and Fulani hav gone too far; a peaceful resolution is what is needed NOW, not the one-sided violence the army is threatening to unleash.

Many folks ar just wasting their money and time. In reality there's NO latest smartphone because the makers of these devices ar in fierce competition adding one feature or other to outdo one another. So at the time u ar buying a smartphone it's already outdated. Most people use their phone to make calls & occasional text so they dont need all these "latest" smartphones.

babestella: If that is what will bring peace to that region, then it is OK. Fulanis have never been known to be peaceful. Talking about Fulani's in Lagos and other Southern states, the last time I checked, I think we've not heard any violence or killings from them, but I bet you any particular tribe that engages itself only in violence and killings by any means and reason should be expelled from that region. I understand Fulani herdsmen killed someone in Mowe, Lagos/Ibadan express axis, this is what we are talking about, if this continues, you can imagine actions that will be taken against them.
. Are u saying that if a fulani commit an offence then all fulanis should be held responsible? If that is ur thinking, should we not also extend it to every ethnic group, so e.g if an Ibo or Yoruba or Igala commits robbery all the members of the criminal's ethnic group should answer for the crime.Look, collective punishment hav no place in modern society.

Does the army think that their imaginary enemy will just lie there for them with all the publicity about the so-called operation. The stage is being set for soldiers to invade the area and kill innocent people, most likely fulanis, who will then be tagged terrorists or boko haram members. The operation has failed even before it got started.

What does it take to plant a tree? Just put a seedling in the ground anywhere in Nigeria and with minimal attention it will grow into maturity. But most people dont know the value of trees to themselves not to talk of the environment.Trees cool ur house. U can also harvest tree branches for firewood. In both cases u save money. LASG should do more public enlightenment and even set yearly target for itself on the number of tree it will plant and nurture

Many Nigerians aren't aware that the judiciary (federal & state) is the most corrupt institution in Nigeria, followed by the police. it's high time the searchlight is beamed on this rotten institution. Nigeria can never get out of its present predicament with a corrupt judiciary and a corrupt police force. Money spent on Ibori's case by the British can not be used as an excuse for his acquittal in Nigeria. The cost of prosecuting corruption cases will be recovered from the loot after conviction of the criminal. Simple.
