Jarus:Actually I tried "nail and tooth" to fathom the exact problem of that Sister from that post but I can't. I wonder how: does it have anything to do with my being a non-Yoruba as I see the problem has some tribal predilection; or my being a male (not female) and young? Can't say. Nevertheless I'll inshaAllah be putting her in my prayers for Allah to solve whatsoever is the problem she faces. May Allah come to your rescue, sis. |
@Viaro, There is something you seemingly misunderstand with Mr. Experts's post, and that is: there are many, many issues that are already discussed by another person(s), knowing that therefore shun-away every need to re-compose the same piece with the same content. I kinda believe taking it and re-posting it is not what you claim it--plagiarism, especially since boards like this one is not an academic platform. Though I believe with something you raise, at least to some extent, that he (Experts) should include the piece's link for at least regard to the effort of its original writer. That was just a by the by. On the thread topical issue, you got really wrong there: although I can't, as of now, point directly a single verse where the noble Qur'an is said to be correcting the Bible, yet there are numerous proofs that that's what it has been sent to. For a typical example take the contents of the both two sacred books. On many instances bible tells stories that were later found and proved incorrect, unscientific, fiction, etc and when compared side by side with that of the Qur'an the latter's found correct, scientific, based on historical facts etc. This does not stay here but also on matters about the God, His being, His messengers and their acts, etc. I'm afraid I lack sufficient time I should have to demonstrate these points to and other readers. But I'll see to it later, inshaAllah. |
@Nezan, Correction: Nation of Islam is not the same with Islam. We had had this argument aboard NL here and there; thus won't repeat it. Go search. BTW, how u dey? 1000 days. |
Hmm. . .this is life. The guy has been my "friend" for nearly 5 years. But look at how he betrayed me. . . |
Thanks, Chakula The thief was whipped 50 times, and was asked to either pay N20,000 fine or spend 20 months in prison. Since nobody stands for him he's to do the latter punishment. Pity. Thanks to the Lord of the Universe. |
Assalamu alaikum, Narrated Abu Huraira [RA]: Allah's Apostle (pbuh) said, "When the Imam says: 'Ghair-il-Maghdubi 'Alaihim Walad-Dallin (i.e. not the path of those who earn Your Anger, nor the path of those who went astray (1.7)), then you must say, 'Ameen', for if one's utterance of 'Ameen' coincides with that of the angels, then his past sins will be forgiven." Lagosboy:I hope she's doing fine wherever she's been. FayeZik:Contact like how? Physical address? Any way, Jarus already has my phone no. and e-mail address. And I give him all permission to share it with anyone interested. @All, Where are you, brothers and sisters? Hope you've been doing good. I have been going to court these days; I was robbed by a "friend" while in Mosque attending Subhi prayer days ago. The thief was caught and all the things he had taken found in his room while searching. Since then I haven't been resting; sympathisers calls, visits, messages. . . And the case is still in court. I should have been there today 11am. I only refused to be there exactly that time seeing our case was only heard some minutes to 4:00pm yesterday. Will, inshaAllah, update you when I get back. |
What is your religion? ![]() |
Assalamu alaikum, Narrated AbuSa'id al-Khudr: The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) said: Some snakes are jinn; so when anyone sees one of them in his house, he should give it a warning three times. If it return (after that), he should kill it, for it is a devil. (Sunan Abu Dawood,Book 41, Number 5236) |
Salam, Jarus and all Actually I lost real contact with Abuzola as his number doesn't work these days. Though we seldom exchange words on facebook. He once complained to me how unjustly he's been kicked out of this forum in spite of the fact we "have" Mukinat as our ambassador. Hmm . . . . Anyway, he's doing fine as far as I can say. Sister Uplawal could help us here with the latest info about him. And, Olabowale shouldn't have left us that way; he at least should say that he was going for something like sabbatical, vacation, or whatsoever he feels like calling it. He should do that not because it's anything mandatory but because we care (as we hope he too does) about one another as Muslim brothers and sisters. Babs, on another side, I learned he was even aboard yesterday. Alhamdulillah. And others, we pray wherever you are; may Allah help and guide us all. May He triumph Islam over all other "religions", amin. Salam alaikum |
@Babs Welcome back. I was just yesterday asking of you on another thread. Wish you've been doing great. Alhamdulillah. @Godslave, Can you modify your reply so that we can read it easily? |
Am glad to hear that. |
Assalamu alaikum, Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said to me, "When the revenues of Bahrain will arrive, I shall give you such and such and such.'' He passed away before the revenues were received. When they arrive during the caliphate of Abu Bakr (May Allah be pleased with him), he ordered to be announced: "Anyone whom Messenger of Allah (PBUH) promised or owed anything, should come to him.'' I went to him and said: "Messenger of Allah (PBUH) had said to me such and such.'' He took a double handful out of the money and gave it to me. I counted it and found that it was five hundred dirham. Then Abu Bakr (May Allah be pleased with him) said to me: "Take twice as much more of that amount.'' [Al-Bukhari and Muslim] |
experts:Keep it up, bros. |
Assalam alaikum, brothers and sisters Let me first of all begin by welcoming our honourable sister back to the house. You are warmly welcome back, Mukinat. I kinda fathom from your tone that something actually went wrong. But as the saying goes: all is well that ends well. May Allah, the Exalted, protect and prevent us, amin. That aside, sincerely speaking something is wrong with this board these days. You (plural) might have noticed that as we barely see members contribute as they used to. I, in particular, got no problem with the site that could deter me to be as active as I used to; it’s something different, actually. I'm doing my best to get rid of that hindrance and come back as lively, kicking and active as ever. May Allah help me get through with that, amin. But we really lack the true brotherhood and sisterhood we should have among ourselves. How? For example, the likes of Abuzola, Sir Olabowale, littleb, babs, etc no longer come aboard. And surprisingly enough nobody (or a few?) cares to ask of them, let alone looking for ways to invite them back, help them with the problem they face, pray for Allah to ease their tasks (if that’s what dissuade them from appearing). While our Christian brethren always ask of their folks. . . The story goes along that line. . . We really get to do something, please. I can't help feeling their absence. I can't, more-over, feel edgy or something very similar--thinking sth. happened/happening to them. Please Mod and Super-Mod respond to my request. Or anyone with any knowledge of those guys whereabouts. Thanks |
Noted (but agreed). ![]() |
toba:Who started, please? And is davidylan not the Poster of the Year of this forum as well? Am waiting for your sincere response. Thanks jagunlabi:And shake hands. . . ![]() |
GODSON2009:You of all people? Who proves that? |
![]() |
Orikinla:Why is this writer considered a Nigerian? |
davidylan:So certainly is your father. ![]() |
^^^You had me smiling. I read your post with sheer enthusiasm. Can’t wait to read the “reasons”. ![]() |
ayinba1:Mun san ya isa; thats why Abuzola is now gone, and Muhsin shall probably follow his friend's footstep soon. ![]() |
EzeUche: Why and how? Didn't the Christians as well do the same just recently at Kuru, where Muslims were massacred and their bodies stuff in wells and pit laterins? I do not and will not, in any way, condone either action but am reminding you of something you seem to have forgotten. |
^^^ Can I know of your source for the Prophet's history? |
Assalamu alaikum, The Probhet, may Allah exalt his mention, said: "The house in which Allah is remembered and the house in which Allah is not remembered are like Living and Dead." 1/539 Muslim |
I remember: even the Sultan did the same, i.e. denounce the mayhem and the massacre. |
GODSON2009: davidylan:I can very well recall none of you had the courage of overcoming his pathological animus and condemn the other killing of the Muslims in Kuru; while I (here) apparently denounce that of Christians in Dogo Na Hauwa. But you are trying to put words I didn't utter in my mouth! Mts. Get lost, shameless dudes. |
ElRazur:I am afraid I can't. ![]() |
noetic16:Cool. Why are you still "inactive"? |
davidylan:At least I had the decency not to even call you an animal from the beginning. ![]() |
