True talk, Pastor. Although I fear he'll not win. |
Assalamu alaikum, Barka da Jumu'ah. Don't forget your Sittu Shawwal, i.e. the six obligatory fasting done in this month of Shawwal. Its of greatest advantage--equal to fasting the whole lifetime! |
Akwasi: Ranoscky:Good inputs, guys. Actually another news is now coming out that the boy didn't do the sordid action alone [although he could because he is a drug addict, and was then on drug]. Two reasons so far are gathered: 1--The woman, Jummai whom his dead mother distressingly called before she was murdered said "They, " Now the word they implies the killers were numerous, not alone. 2--The younger brother of Baba, i.e. Farouk identified one other person among the "killers". He mentioned his name, Aminu. I, thus, know other untold story may surface soon, God's willing. Whoever is/are responsible he/they will be brought to book, God's willing. May God, the Exalted, protect us, amin. |
Hey, You guys are very unfair to NPF. Had you followed the story very well, and with free and fair mind you would have read where its said it was after the miscreant confessed then that the SSS handed him over to them. Again, didn't you read where that women whom the deceased mother called said: the last word she heard her said before she heard only commotion was the murderer's name--Baba. Remember the boy is named after the SSS officer's father, i.e. Bello. Please be more just and fair; don't just misjudge Nigeria Police. Thanks |

Photo: EFCC By Elor Nkereuwem September 15, 2010 02:32AM The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is mourning the loss of its key operative, Abdullahi Muazu, who was killed yesterday in his home in Kaduna. Mr Muazu was, until his death, the head of the Forensic Unit of the anti-graft agency. The EFCC says that there is not enough evidence to suspect any particular person, as Mr Muazu had been involved in several EFCC cases. An operative of the agency, who asked not to be named, told NEXT in Abuja that Mr Muazu was very involved in the ongoing trials of the bank chiefs who were sacked by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) last year. “Muazu was involved in virtually all our cases because he was the head of the Forensic Unit, so it is difficult to say that we suspect any particular person,” the EFCC official said. “I know that he was very much involved in all the trials of the Bank Chiefs, you know with checking finger prints and all that.” The spokesman of the commission, Femi Babafemi, in a press statement made available to NEXT, condemned the killing; adding that the anti-graft agency is strengthening its resolve to go ahead with its duties. “Information reaching the Commission today confirms that our head of forensic unit was killed in a cruel manner in the early hours of today by unknown assailants. Those behind this attack may have succeeded in killing a strategic hand and a key witness in some of our on-going cases, but their act has failed to dampen our spirit or deter us from continuing our investigation and prosecution of all forms of economic crimes and corruption in the country,” Mr Babafemi said. Ominous killings Mr Babafemi also said that the commission has launched an immediate investigation into the matter. Mr Muazu’s death is coming just one day after the gruesome murder of an agent of the State Security Service (SSS), Garba Bello, who was killed alongside his children and wife in Kano. Bamidele Aturu, a Lagos Attorney, described the murder of the SSS agent as “ominous”, while alluding that the death is related to the coming 2011 elections. Mr Aturu also expressed a lack of faith in the ability of law enforcement agencies in the country to apprehend the killers. “One must confess that it is futile to call on the security agencies to fish out sponsors of gruesome and cold blooded murders such as the one that happened in Kano on Monday,” he said. “They seem eternally incapable of that. We can only hope that this latest killing might just be an exception in the sea of murder riddles in a country that spends billions of dollars on security at all levels of governance or mis-governance.” http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/News/5619080-147/gunmen_kill_efccs_forensic_team_leader.csp |
May Allah, the Exalted, grant those murdered souls eternal peace. May He help those escaped throughout their lives. May He also uncovers those responsible for the gruesome killing; and may they suffer 100times worst deaths/ending, amin. |
Hey, David You still dey? Thousand days. |
Assalamu alaikum, Please accept my belated Eid Mubarak wish to you all, my Muslim brothers and sisters. May we witness more. |
^^^Most of these days Christians are just Christians by names. |
@Mr. unofficial, A Question: To which religion do you belong? |
^^^ Hey, OLAADEGBU Do you mind me advising you? Those postings you are eagerly making are but simply and deductively portraying your little if not none knowledge of what you may claim you do have knowledge about, i.e. Islam. For instance, I am a Muslim right from birth. Although the religion of Islam is very Arabic--language of the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah exalt his mention; the Qur'an and for the Jannah (Muslim paradise) dwellers--but I know there are innumerable non-Muslims Arabians. I am informed about Lebanon, Syria, Egypt (particular Alexandria), Sudanese Nubians and host of others. Hence, please go and rest or concentrate of other topics you are "informed" about. Thanks |
^^^ The name, as I have severally corrected people here, is not Mushin but Muhsin. The former is a local government's name in Lagos while the latter means Doer of Good in Arabic. Take note. ![]() How do you want me to help you talk to her? What do you want of her? Remember you are not a Muslim, worst you are among the Christians that enjoy smirching Muslim and Islam. |
Assalamu alaikum, Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said: "Whoever fasted the month of Ramadan out of sincere Faith (i.e. belief) and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his past sins will be forgiven, and whoever stood for the prayers in the night of Qadr out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven ." Bukhari Vol. 3 : No. 231 |
Salam, @Abulbanat, You still day, bros? How are you doing; and your fasting? May Allah accept our ibadat in this month and beyond, amin. By the way, you are done with that misguided fella. He squarely fits the description of that Qur'anic ayah: he claims he "understands" Arabic yet he doesn't see the unambiguous message therein the Qur'an and/or other Islamic books. He really deserves nothing more than pity (and prayer if one can do). Further, as also pointed out Jarus, it's only somebody who knows little or nothing about Islam and the Muslim world that will be surprised at finding out that there are Arab Christians. May Allah guide us to the right and straightforward path, amin. |
It's not only Muslims that do not accept the state of Israel. |
Salam, If the Night was past, I hope we all witnessed it; and if it's yet to, I hope we all will witness it. May Allah, the Exalted, accept our Ibadah in this month and beyond, ameen. Happy Eid-el-Fitr in advance. |
Jarus: zayhal:Assalamu alaikum, You must be kidding. I well know I am just an apprentice writer compared to you, especially Jarus. I have a folder specially dedicated for your writings on my computer. You are one of the best writers aboard NL. More-over, may be you don't know; I often visit your blog. Keep writing good pieces. Any ways, thanks for your compliments. They are motivating. Happy Eid-Fitr in advance. |

Assalamu alaikum, I feel like including my name among those "big names" is somewhat flattering; I never thought my presence or absence is that noticed. I can only say thanks to the Lord of the Worlds, Allah (SWT). I as well learn greatly from many of you, including the starter of this thread. May Allah reward us all, amin. Actually I no longer frequent this site because of two reasons: one, though, is the commonest cause of many brothers and sisters departure, i.e. the fashionable blasphemy ceaselessly done by our Christian brethren here. Since we couldn't bring an end to that the best solution for a good Muslim, to my view, is to leave. Not everyone can withstand that parading profanity against our Creator, His Messenger and everything sacred to us. I think that’s the reason why Olabowale is no longer here too. Second is which affects me personally, but I feel like I should open it up and share it with you here: I had subscription with British Council, Kano. I browsed mostly there then as there were systems available for members. Change in the world’s business trend, as they claim, necessitated them to close down their centers all over the African continent. They still operate, though, but no members (or membership subscription) any more. And as a student I find it, sincerely speaking, awfully difficult to afford paying N100/150 per hour paid here in Kano. Why? An hour or two is very short; it takes an hour or more, sometimes, to watchfully follow a single thread and make a meaningful reply, whilst again, NL is not the only site one surfs. Consequently I resort to just peep here and there, save any page I am interested in on my system; go and read at home. You may notice I infrequently make replies of a few lines here and there to some threads. This I do because I still have a sheer affinity to the site. Some of the friends I invited no longer make it here, not at all. But insha-Allah things will change to better soonest. I implore you (plural) who still can make it here to keep it up; exercise more patience; sanitize/upgrade your intentions—do it for the sake of Allah and His Deen; ignore our absence and persevere. May Allah reward us all handsomely. Salam |
javalove: babs787:I wonder how you couldn't notice that. Thanks. ![]() |
Salam. I wish you all the best brothers and sisters. Keep it up; that's what was done during (and after) the lifetime of the Prophet by his Companions and other Muslims. I always wish I could take part in any of those gathering. Please don't forget us in the Special Prayers. Thanks |
aaronfocus:You have said it all. Though I usually wish him all the bast. |
ifyalways:The correct name remains Muhsin; not Mushin. The latter is a name of a local government, I think, in Lagos, while the former means Doer of Good in Arabic language. lol ![]() How are you doing? I can't understand what you mean by saying you aren't fasting because of "good health condition". Are you not well? Or still, ? Any ways, I wish you all the bast in life. Thanks. |
Salam, @Jarus, My other reply does deserve any response, huh? I wonder o! |
Jarus:Salam, As you could (or might have even) notice, I barely frequent this place these days. This happens inevitably, wallahi. This and that mount to that 'problem'. Considering this I feel so incapacitated to talk much on this fourth coming Iftar issue. But I wish, wallahi, I do better than I'm doing now. More-over, I spoke with Chakula on phone; he's actually not living in Kano but Jigawa, about that and the hindering factor that preclude me to participate as probably expected. He saw my reasons and let the matter rest. BTW, I'll start exam next Thursday. One of my problem. Please I'd like you (plural) to put me in your prayers. Thanks Another BTW, I lost your phone number, Jarus. Swapped my line days ago. Ramadan Kareem |
Salam, I wish I could say much here. Hence all I can say is: may Allah help you in organizing, attending and everything related to this very important event. P:S P chakula:I just saw that. I don't think I could do anything. There's only me (and you) here. lol ![]() |
Does that really mark her as a Prophet? No. |
Assalamu alaikum, Uthman Bin Affan (radhiallahu anhu) narrated that Prophet, may Allah Exalt his mention, said: “The most superior among you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it.” Bukhari 6/546 |
May Allah bless your union sister. |
Abulbanaat, I am glad to hear that. You'll hear more from me soon, inshaAllah. |
Jumu'at Kareem. |
Salam, Thanks guys for everything. I can't wait to meet you. I have never been to the South in my life; only been to Abuja some years back. @Abulbanaat, You seem to know some few expressions in Hausa; you must have learnt that during your stay in Kaduna. And I'll e-mail you soon, inshaAllah. |

. It is because I concentrated on some threads not bothering to look at what we have in other threads.
