let us condemn all kind of extremities instead of trying to absolve one group or make light of their nefarious activities based on some primordial sentiment.

We pray for good leadership under uncle jona which is seriously lacking in Nigeria.

Brazil, a country that was formerly at par with Nigeria interms of economic development

has now trounced England to emerge 6th strongest economy in the world.

This is coming just as uncle jona is busy with subsidy removal, tollgate

introduction as well as preaching the gospel of eating cassava bread!

No! Shame on you!Haven't you & your ilk done enough damage already? Why do you want to pull the rest of the country backwards with your retrogressive & anti progressive mindset.Other parts of the country are striving in every sphere of development but your kind with a diabolical and auto regressive religion keep holding us back!If you need virgins why don't you just die on your own rather than taking others down with you.
I have tried as much as I can to refrain from attacking people's beliefs but I dare say you Islamic extremists  (and I choose my words carefully)are the scum of the earth. You should all be shot dead or put in a gas chamber & asphyxiated.Buncha  hooligans!

Are they institutionalize like Sharia? Those can happen in any society! Try to differentiate what institutionalized process to disable people than crimes committed by some individuals.
typical escapist. you missed my point dude. The squeaky clean image of the east u painted and wished us to believe does not exist. Well, perhaps it did, in your imagination and u are confusing the two. Institutionalised or not, all the vices i mentioned are still obtainable in the east and i dare say i  prefer to live in the north where thieves's hand is chopped than the east where hand of the innocent is served for supper.  You obviously do not qualify to pass judgement on shariah, something u know nothing about except what u glean from places like this so i wont join issues with you regarding shariah.

For all those left wing liberals and ignoramuses , just wait till Sharia comes to a town or village near you.

This disease is spreading and fools in the name of sounding clever are dancing to its tune.

Thank GOD the east will never see this sort of madness and backward stone age behavior.
sorry to break it to you, the east has seen worse: carnivalism, ritual killings, drug trafficking, 419,arm robbery, kidnapping, need more?

PoliticsRe: Islamic Banking: Oritsejafor Replies Sultan! by murtalaa(m): 11:41pm On Jul 30, 2011
people like this shameless pastor deserve no reply. how the hell do you attack someone and expect him to not to defend himself. is it not your senseless myopic and bigoted rantings about islamic banking that prompted him to defend the cbn policy in the first place? u attacck sanusi and like a gentleman he came out and defended the policy only for you to come behind and accuse him of championing the cause of islamic banking. how hypocritical of you,

like hell you are not against islamic banking. when the issue first surfaced, true to your nature of not looking before leaping you vehemently opposed it and after facts were revealed including list of countries that operate it you realised you are fighting a loosing battle. A gentleman would have apologised for wrong perception but no this guy is busy pulling excuses off air thereby deepening the hatred and mistrust that already exist between muslims and christians in this country. pathetic! use your head and be objective for once. try, its not a rocket science.
PoliticsRe: Igboman Invested In Islamic Banking by murtalaa(m): 11:49am On Jun 27, 2011
Bigotry will never end in naija. Can't you folks see that the name of the bank is JAIZ INT'L bank NOT ISLAMIC BANK? JAIZ is an arabic n just like you have zenith, diamond, guaranty banks as english names. Grow out of your cocoon and shake bigotry off. Its not hard, try.

BusinessUNN Awarded Professorship To Ndi-okereke Who Forged A Phd Degree? by murtalaa(op): 3:29pm On Jun 26, 2011
It never ceases to amaze me how low some nigerians could descend. Just last week Ndi-Okereke, former DG of NSE has been exposed and shamed. She claimed to have earned a PhD at New York city university but alas it was fake. What is with these igbos and forgery for goodness sake? What is even more bizarre is the award of professorship to her by UNN when she has never taught or conducted reasearch of any nature there. But UNN has really messed this one up. Lets not forget the dora's professorship appointment when she was a minister. I think UNN graduates should rise up and protest this one or stand the risk of been stigmatised of having and undeserved credentials.

PoliticsRe: PDP Should Suspend Tambuwal & Declare His Office Vacant Or Impeach Him by murtalaa(m): 9:50pm On Jun 16, 2011
The SW did not vote for tambuwal out of conviction that he is the best man for the job. It was a wise political move on the part of the ACN. The Tinubu's ACN would rather have a northerner from PDP as speaker than a PDP SWner. Voting for any PDP SWner is like shooting themselves on the foot. But by voting for tambuwal ACN has completely trounced PDP in the SW and that is their aim.

FamilyRe: Parents - Do Your Children Have Godparents? by murtalaa(m): 3:52pm On Jun 07, 2011
The concept of godparent does not apply to african settings. African families are predominantly extended. You can always find someone from your family to take care of your children when unable to so yourself. The western family on the other hand iS stricly nuclear in most cases. A typical family in the west comprises of only father, mother and children plus grandparents in few cases. It is a society where everyone is to themselves, hence the need for godparents.

It would be ironic to import this culture into the nigerian setting. ISome nigerian folks who appoint godparents to their kids never ceases to amuse me. i guess it is only to appear "western" and be seen as sophisticated.

PoliticsRe: Tambuwal Is The New Speaker For The 7th Assembly by murtalaa(m): 10:10pm On Jun 06, 2011
i am a northerner from sokoto, so why am i not celebrating tambuwal's victory? simple, these guys are not in politics to make a difference. They are there purely for selfish interest. tambuwal's victory is no victory for the north, certainly not for NW but for tambuwal and his family. so to all bigots who spews poison on the north, north has finally won, no 2,3,4 from the north and all sorts of rubbish should take a minute to digest this: tambuwal has been in the nat'l assembly since 2003 but has not benefitted his people in any way imaginable. while his family live in luxury his contituency people remains one of the hardest hit interms of poverty. is this the kind of man i should be happy for just because we share the same region, tribe or religion?
PoliticsRe: Read El-Rufai's Brilliant Take Down Of Gej's Administration by murtalaa(m): 5:43pm On Jun 05, 2011
ola_pluto:
I read alot of el-Rufai's articles and the more I read it, the more I see an empty man. I really feel he has lost it. There is nothing new in his articles or blogs. We all know the problem Nigeria has. We all know we have bad leaders. El-Rufai is not a saint as he paints himself. Nigeria cannot just jump out of this mess with articles like this. We need positive thinkers not negative bashers. He needs to match his articles with solutions. His only solution so far is Buhari. BUT Nigeria this day did not get to this mess in one year.
I think Nigeria's problem will be solved from bottom upwards and not the other way round. You can criticize the goverment in power all you like, but it really will not change anything if the people do not know what they want. Nigerian youths are not as vibrant as before. We are now so lazy we blame government for everything, including our lack of self-discipline. I want every young person reading El-Rufai's articles to ask themselves this question: DO I HAVE THE SAME OPPORTUNITY AS EL-RUFAI'S CHILDREN? If not, then dont take him serious. El- Rufai had opportunity 90% of Nigerians do not have. He messed it up with his cosmetic approach to urban planning. We youths need to hold our future in our hands and discard failures like El-Rufai. We no longer have role models in government, save maybe Fashola. El-Rufai can quote billions, but he forgot that while he was in power with OBJ, we also read about this billions without ever feeling its impacts. There are many Northerners I respect and will listen to anyday. El-Rufai can never be amongst them. If tomorow he is offered a job with Joe boy, I guess the tone of the articles will change. Nigerian Youths should stop reading articles with El-Rufai's name in it. It wont do us no good.
