Is there a difference in mixing sharp sand plus plaster sand and mixing stone with plaster sand. If there is no difference then to save cost, someone can use sharp sand in place of stone dust.

So with 20bags you are good to go.

You can go this way for DIY PROJECT

Plaster sand 3trip @7k= 21,000
Sharp sand 1.5trip @14k =21,000
Cement 20bags @2500=50,000
Plank for standing =12,000
Total. N104,000
Keep rest for labour N 46,000

Ground total N150,000

Labour breakdown
A room 2 skill labour @3500 or 3000=6or7k
1 unskilled labour @2000 or 2500=2k or 2.5k

Mean to plaster A room will cost you 8k or 9.5k

Finally means you can only covered 3rooms, A kitchen and 1 lobby with N46,000.

Cement for the calculated area is 20bags

This cost can only work DIY system.

The remaining part like
Toilets
Sittingroom
Dining
The remaining lobby
Walk in closet area.
Ante room.
Can be done later

The idea is to put the house in livable condition.
If you’re able to achieve this, I believe you’ll complete the project in no time.

The external walls can be achieved with 4 trips of 5 tonnes sand (they one wey full o).

Well, here in Ilorin, if your are good at negotiation, small change will be removed.

For Sharp Sand, maximum at a go is 10 tonnes truck which can be bought at 14k or even 13k but a single truck of 5 tonnes is sold at 8k

for Granite, Quarry sell at 20k for 5 tonnes and irrespective of the tonnage, it is a fixed prices. for 5 tonnes delivery, driver will want to charge transport of 5k to sum up at 25k but if they are bringing 10tonnes at a go, then instead of 10k transport, you can reduce to 6k or 7k.

the same goes for other types of sands.

Buy 30 Bags of Cement
Save the rest for labour


Focus on the internal walls for now.
Do all the rooms first and toilets after the rooms are completed.

Quarter rod - 15 lengths @ 200 = 3000
Transport = 3500
Workmanship = 25000

Wood and cutting = 175000
Nail = 11100
Transport = 4000
Workmanship = 40000

Granite = 20 tonnes = 100000
Sharp sand = 15 tonnes = 21000
Cement 50 bags @ = 130000
Labour = 50000
Total = 710,000

Taking a look at the cost of Pre-cast Parapet and Aluminium Parapet, i consider this the best (my opinion) and I dont regret.

What kind of MANAGE will take a plastering job from 2-3Bags, to 8Bags or you dont know what you are saying sef?
How can 2-3 Bags plaster four walls of a House of of 4m x 3.5m or are you sleeping when you type that answer?
You better stick to the drawing that you know and stop sayng nonsense.

And you call yourself a Professional? Those people that give you building jobs better go back and check before the thing collapse one day.

1.5mm single core for lighting
Red colour is Live
Black Colour is Neutral
Green is for the earth cable.(Most of light fittings don't normally come with earth terminal, reason for neglecting earth cable for the lighting circuit).

2.5mm single core cable is for the socket outlet(both single and double). At times it can also be use for water heater if the litres is not more than 20litres.
Red colour is Live
Black Colour is Neutral
Green is for the earth cable
Note: Earth cable is very important in the installation of socket, AC, Water heater, cooker unit etc......

-It keeps people safe by preventing electric shocks
-It prevents damage to electrical appliances and devices by preventing excessive current from running through the circuit
-It prevents the risk of fire that could otherwise be caused by current leakage
-Earth can also serves as neutral if the Neutral fail

the analysis above shows that 1.5mm green is going to be use as earth cable for the 2.5mm. you can see that the number of red and black of 2.5mm is the same with 1.5mm. Same as 4mm and 2.5mm green
