maclatunji:
The greatest problem we have after corruption in this country is the massive ignorance of many Christians. Chei, so if you add Mallam to your name, you have become a Muslim. O my God! Thou art very ignorant indeed!
Oh don't try to be political here,it makes you appear silly
Tell me that there's nothing fraudulent in a pastor changing his descriptive prefix from pastor to mallam just so he can get a loan from an islamic bank
You are actually the ignorant and gullible one here for not being able to detect afraudulent advocacy
@myself2

even if this country were to break into as many splinters such that your father's house became a soveignty, the very nature of the nigerian problem will still not be faraway from you. boko haram may be the name for the present challenge that is facing this country, the least line we can tow is to hold faith that we can, and we will go over it - and add this to the history of our victories - the very kind that has brought us this far.
i am inclined to think that boko haram is not a problem of the north - as MEND is not a problem of the Niger Delta - as MASSOB is not a problem of the East. they collectively are a response to the failure of a subsystem. they all constitute a reactionary mechanism from an apparent lack of or poorly sustenable feedback system. And the bane of the system is the people - of which you are a part of.
You are completely wrong

You are totally wrong and dubious to have mentioned MEND in the same vein with the Boko haram terrorists
MEND as an organisation had very genuine and germaine reasons for their agitations,on the contrary,all I see in BH is double-speak,hypocrisy and confusion.Speaking of which,could you please tell me what really it is they're agitating for

Like I wrote earlier,if it is for them to have a sharia nation,I think a referendum should be conducted in those northern states to ascertain if that is the overwhelming wish of the people;why should you deny a people their collective wish??This is the only scenario that will make MEND and MASSOB to be compared to Boko Haram;in the sense that one would now safely conclude that they're all seperatist/autonomy-seeking movements in that whilst MASSOB seeks a nation state of their own for the Ibos,Boko haram would be seeking a sharia-compliant muslim country and MEND seeks a country of their own where their oil wealth will be used in developing their own region(which would've become a sovereign nation by that permutation)

otokx:
University of Maiduguri did the sensible thing and other citizens should follow suit; life first before you can live. They should get out of that town and get away from the violence in it. Boko Haram will find it difficult to operate in a town where no human being resides except the soldiers.
And those useless boko cowards stand no chance against the soldiers.Hmmm,is it not soldiers of the Nigerian army,who hardly abide by the geneva convention or any rules of engagementhuh?,just wound or kill their men and they would unleash the kind of vengeance that would make soldiers from western nations cringe.I laff in Urhobo
Politics › Re: Maiduguri: Soldiers Kill 23 Civilians At Random After Bomb Blast by Myself2(m): 11:45am On Jul 26, 2011
Like someone noted earlier;when the army gets involved in a conflict situation,it ceases to be a tea party

That reminds me,why is it that the useless,conniving,gullible people of Maiduguri and Borno state are always accusing the JTF of one thing or the other,instead of pointing out/giving leads that would help the JTF quell the boko haram terrorism and pave the way for peace to return to the area.

My guess is that either they're all collaborators or they're members of boko haram also,so the army should gun them all down and teach them that there's a difference between the NA and NPF

The OP has twisted what Bola Tunibu said,hence he couIdn't include a link,this is what Tinubu actually said;

"He attributed the security challenges in the country, especially the menace of Boko Haram, to high level of poverty, economic and social injustice, and ignorance.
Tinubu noted that the situation was made worse by the political machinations of a group of people(Buhari,CPC and ACF)dissatisfied with the outcome of the general elections.
,he however, expressed his “full sympathy and support’’for the President in finding solution to the disturbing phenomenon.
Tinubu said Jonathan must succeed in his resolve to tackle the menace, adding that the lingering security challenge could damage the country and the West African region".

Of course Nigeria's got 'em,they just need to step up their game,collaborate with foreign intelligence agencies and share info amongst themselves for better results
