Anfieldboss: Hello Prof. wip7,
I am interested in pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering overseas. My area of research interest is "Integration of Renewable Energy on Grid Distribution Network"
I have been in contact with lecturers overseas, and I have been asked to develop a research proposal.
I would appreciate anyway you can help me sir. Get a good survey paper on this topic and read, towards the end, you will see areas for further research. Ask your self if your can do it, if the answer is yes, then write your proposal around it and submit, you will be accepted |

Anfieldboss: I just got an offer from GCU for my PhD, the offer is conditional on me providing IELTS (Academic) with overall band score of 6.5. I thought English Language requirements is waived for Nigerians by UK universities, I submitted my WAEC which I had C5 in English but this was not accepted, I'm thinking maybe it's because it's a research degree that is why they are strict on English Language requirements. Either you write the test or apply to another school or make a strong case with your senior at work attesting that you use English as ur formal means of communication with ur C5 presented. The last option should make them accept you. Also, you can speak with your supervisor about it and the need for it to be waived. Sure that would be waived. Best of luck |

Maybe NUC actually goofed by allowing them lecture and become Professors without PhD in the past but it seems they realized their error.
The consultants want to continue becoming Professors without PhD. I laugh! Do they actually know the rigors of becoming a PhD holder? They are not bigger than NUC that regulates them so if NUC says they cant become Professors without PhD then they should either join their colleagues who go on to acquire PhD or get out. Exactly |

NwaAmaikpe:

You are such an ingrate. Do you know how many of us that wish that our partners were cool with our exes.
You have the prospect of a 3some on a platter and here you are complaining about a gift from God.
But this does not add up. If x+10 = u ≤ 40%
Where 10 is your present spouse, x is your ex While you are u. And u is less than in an optimal state.
Then what is y?
Y is simply that you did your ex bad. He was a great guy but you schemed him away for your present husband out of greed and an addiction for cheating.
I know this because, You feel sooooo uncomfortable with your ex around. You feel an indescribable amount of guilt each time you see him and it feels like you are staring at Karma in human garb.
For your husband to be that nice to your ex means that Your husband knew you were cheating on your ex with him. He knows your ex didn't deserve that wrong, this explains why he feels obliged to set him up on life.
So it is either that he is a man of great conscience or a man who needs your ex as an ally to know the true you and decipher all of your trickery for him to feel this indebted to your ex.
Or even better. Your husband and your ex may be gay and your ex is using this as his best revenge.
But one thing is certain. You were two-faced and bad to your ex....this is why the bible says that the wicked runs when NOTHING is chasing them.
Get over it, what will be, will be. This is because I've just found out from your previous post that your ex isn't really an ex but your best and most loyal patron in your prostitution days.
You owe him, an agreement is an agreement. Your husband is a proper gentleman so he should understand this too. I don't think your husband will even mind because someone who brings home his wife's ex and someone who marries a hoe doesn't expect much out of marriage.
My only prayer is that your husband is forever able to meet his financial, emotional and sexual obligations because water will surely find it's level.
What do I even know, over to Lalasticlala and the other elders. Such a dumb and stupid comment. @sifonabasi, eyeneka mmi, I hope you open up to your husband that this guy was your ex and that you are not comfortable with him around. Any sensible man, will not want an ex to be around his wife! |

Most last borns that I know of show a lackadaisical and indifferent attitude towards life. healthserve: First things first put your anger under better management. Saying things you'll later regret isn't right as a man.
For example that you'll kill her and hand her to the police can be used against you God forbid something happens and you aren't even responsible. Take a cue from that young man that was issued a death sentence, I'm not saying he is guilty or innocent here. But your own words can implicate you. She's the mother of your child and for this alone try to act better
I know many men try to soothe their egos and try to make themselves feel better with ideology that every woman is a cheat. Unfortunately this causes the mind to create scenarios that haven't even existed .
Common sit down there and could you sit let's have a talk as a couple has different effects on the listener. If you work bad improve on your communication as a couple I feel you both would tolerate yourselves better. Under an atmosphere of tenseness and intolerance, and unhealthy energy almost anything can lead to a quarrel.
I don't know if your wife is cheating nad why your method though confrontational is a guesstimate method to find out the truth, did you pause to ponder what the aftermath would be if she isn't?
Deliberately sowing negative seeds in your Union collapses our marital bond both progressively and gradually and the more you do it, the more you push the other party away. We can't build a stable marital bond with negative energy.
There's more to say as this Union shows sign of cracks and instability. Allow me recommend a couple acitvitiy you both can do together as a family. To help strengthen your bond and deepen your root.
To win trust at times, we should look away at times or rather be more tact. Accusing one's spouse is weighty if a woman does it to me personally,I may forgive but the effect would still be there. Especially if the sorry is innocent.
Tact is key. Conduct is gold . We should conduct ourselves honourably in ways that we'll rise above fautls if subjected to external cross examination. Life is easy. It's how we handle issues that matters.
Don't forget accusing a partner of infidelity is very weighty and one should have rela proofs otherwise if wrong,my brother such a person is wounding the partner seriously internally. Let's not forget no one has risen above cheating in q relationship. No one, beginning with me Take life jeje
My dad only counselled me once before he passed away, he thought me not to be overly bothered about a woman's vagina. Holding on to this principle has given me profound peace over the years. I won't allow the fear of cheating steal my peace never. But if I catch you
Control your mind. Control your thoughts. Let's your imaginations would ruin you. I forgot to add falsely accusing a partner in a relationship isn't derogatory but abusive, you'll be mentally abusing your partner if any accusations is fasle. And in a sane clime, after legal scrutiny you can be charged with deliberate attempt to cause damage
Many women have died from infections they picked from toilets. Infections can come as a result of an affair or hygiene issues. Either way there's no proof of an illicit affair.
Don't let your own insecurities ruin your life
Balance is key don't let insecurities ruin your life.
Don't let a lack of mastery over your emotions ruin what you have
Don't lose what you have before you know it's value
Man, control no, master thyself. Master your wandering and assuming thoughts If you are a man or a woman, I would like to know you. This was a very good read. I learnt 1 or 2 from it. Thanks |

Atouke: Show me any state including Lagos that has 1700km of roads construction ongoing and some complete. That's what mr udom Emmanuel is doing. Show me any state that has built transmission and distribution stations in their state. Udom Emmanuel has built the ekim power station and several power step down stations across the state, and akwa ibom via its ibom power plant is the only state in the country that produces 191mw of electricity without any FG input. FYI akwa ibom only needs about 50 to 80 mw of power. But for the FG exclusive list that takes Akwa ibom 191MW to national grid, Akwa ibom should be enjoying 24/7 power supply. The state has made enough investments to see it happen.
For whether the stadium is neccessary, is a matter of opinion. When Akpabio built the 30,000 uyo stadium many people shouted white elephants more than you are doing now but today they are the ones singing praises of the stadium. That uyo stadium is the only fifa compliant stadium in Nigeria till today. Time will vindicate the governor on the eket stadium. So you are entitled to your opinion, but that doesn't make your opinion a fact. Which Ibom power plant generates 191 Mw? Stop this propaganda now... |

MOD pls help me push this to front page for myriads suggestions. You have to get answers to some questions clearly.. Some of the questions are: 1) Did you suspend your study after knowing that you needed a break? 2) Will you CGPA without those course get you something reasonable at least a 2.2? 3) What is the school's rule regarding these(this can still be upturned in Nigeria) - you can only answer this after meeting your course adviser? 4) If answer to 1 - 2 are yes, I will suggest you get to Department and talk with your Course Adviser and see what you options you have. |

[quote author=BeachTime post=84399432]I think having a modest population is actually cool and something to be proud of ,instead of an overcrowded city. As for "Ibibio" do you mean the combination of ,Efik, oron,Annang,Ibibio ?If so,i'm not sure if it's the 4th largest . And Ibibio is a wrong term to use . Since there's no official name , the Ethnic group or nation is known as Calabar and sometimes Akwacross. Nigerian educational system is flawed and needs to be revised. I, an American born & raised know more about Africa than most Nigerians . Calabar (Ibibio,Oron,Efik,Annang) is an ethnic group or nation , similarly : Yoruba,Igbo ,Fang ,Swede,Dutch,Yamato( Japanese),Korean ,Tagalog , Punjabi, etc. Africa was colonized and merged into artificial countries for selfish gains . All ethnic groups have communities ,each community have clans and clans have chiefdom or villages, villages have extended families and extended families have nuclear families all the way down to the individual. For example ,Ibibio is a dialect and community of Calabar,Oron is a community and dialect of Calabar,Efik is a Community and dialect of Calabar,Annang is a dialect and community of Calabar . There's no official Calabar language but the most popular dialect is Efik and now Ibibio due to larger population. If a synthetic official language is created it would most likely contain 40 percent ibibio,20 percent Efik,20 percent annang and 20 percent Oron). The same method described above is applicable to every ethnic nation in the world . Every single language in the world has dialects and some of the dialects are usually more popular than others .The official language is usually based on the most popular dialect and then some of the others . For example , Igbo is an ethnic group nation with communities and dialects such as :Ngwa,Onicha,Owerre,Udi,Igbere,Nsukka,Abakeleke,Aro,Mbaise, etc. the most popular dialect in the group is Onicha and a bit of Owerre, and the official synthetic igbo language which was created around 40 years ago is based on that dialect and hen some of the others . the same is applicable to Spanish( Andalusian,Cantabrian,Canarian, etc. )the most popular dialect is Andalusian and the official synthetic Spanish language is base on that and a few of the others . The same method is applicable to Yamato(Japanese),Swede,Korean ,and all ethnic nations on earth. My point of the above explanation is to buttress the fact that Efik,Oron,Annang and Ibibio are each not ethnic group but communities that make up an ethnic nation. That they are one indivisible people and nation bound by one and the same destiny; and that it's wrong for any community of the group to make up names such as Oron nation, annang nation, Efik nation or Ibibio nation. The correct term should be Calabar nation or Akwacross nation . [/quote
