I've bin monitoring azeez's progress.He's really on d rise.
His style of play is similar to onazi.He'll be a valuable back-up for onazi.He can provide strong competition for onazi in midfield.
Also this young attacking midfielder Micheal Olaitan also from john obuh's eaglets(2009) team is on d rise also.He is only 20yrs and he's establishing himself as a regular at olympiacos.
He is olympiacos ozil.Providing assists regularly.
He is also playing in d champions league.Olympiacos are in d champions league 2nd round.
Watch out for olaitan against Man-U.
We have a lot of options in midfield if only keshi can watch and follow dese players week-in week-out.
And who said John Obuh's eaglets(2009)team was useless.
In terms of productivity,john obuh's eaglets was better than yemi tella's.
Azeez,Omeruo,Onazi,Olaitan.

He is an undisputed regular that starts almost every game for lazio,except he is injured,suspended or rested.
Echiejile has played full 90 minutes for braga in all their games since he sorted his problem with his club and coach.
So get ur facts right.
And also Haruna and Igiebor never played at the olympics.

Penalties and sending off of opponents players is what helped ghana.
Serbia,u couldnt score until a serbian player was sent-off and ghana was awarded a penalty.
Austrailia,you would have lost(1-0) if an austrailian player wasnt sent off and u weren't awarded a penalty.
Austrailia were clearly a better team than ghana in that group.
They out-played ghana.If not for that penalty and them reduced to 10 men,they would have won.

Every month FIFA releases its ranking for world footballing countries.The ranking has come under severe criticism from nigerian fans not just because of the super-eagles continuous slide in position despite posting some good results of recent,but also because the total point haul keep depreciating despite winning matches.
Many nigerians that complain actually don't know the procedure for the ranking.I'll explain :-

Points for a particular match are calculated using a formular :-M * I * T * C.(* means times)

M) Points for a match.That is
Win-3 Points
Draw-1 Point
Loss-0 Point

I) Importance of match
Friendly match =1 point
Worldcup/AFCON qualifier=2.5 points
AFCON/FIFA Confederations cup match=3 points
World cup match=4 points

T) Strength of opposing team:-This is determined by the formular : 200-Position of the team on the fifa ranking

C) Strength of confederation of opponent.
UEFA(europe) and CONMEBOL(south america)=1.00

CONCACAF(north america/carribean islands)=0.88

CAF(Africa) and AFC(Asia) =0.86

OFC(Oceania)=0.85

By these u can be able to calculate your country's points for a particular match.
But that's not the end.

What is used for the ranking is the total average points gained from matches over a Four Year period.E.g Jan 2010-Dec 2013.

Nigeria has been outstanding this year no doubt,but the above paragraph shows that good results from matches played this year alone isnt enough to rank our country high.Matches from Two,Three,Four years ago matters too.And if u remember nigeria was awful in 2010 and 2011.We had a lot of poor results in those two years,which includes a poor worldcup showing and our inability to qualify for the 2012 AFCON.All those poor results still affects the current ranking,and i think that is the reason for our monthly slip,despite good results this year.
Although matches played 2,3 or 4 years ago have a lesser value in the ranking than matches played 1 year ago,they still matter.
According to FIFA,matches played four years ago(2010) are discounted to have a 20 % value in the ranking,
Match average from 3 years ago(2011) are discounted to have a 30 % value,
Match average from 2 years ago(2012) are discounted to have a 50 %,
And match average over the past year(2013) are discounted to have a 100 % value.

In this month's ranking released yesterday,nigeria didn't gain or loose points.We retained the 710 points we had last month,due to the fact that there wasn't any nigerian match whatsoever this month.
We slipped one spot to 37th only because there are other teams chasing us at d back and gaining points. So that doesn't need explanation.

But I'll explain last month's(november) controversial ranking.Why nigeria lost a whole 14 points despite defeating ethiopia and playing a 2-2 draw against a high-ranked italy team.
In d October ranking we had 724 points.That was the average points gained from Nov 2009-Oct.2013.
If u remember,in Nov 2009 we won Kenya(3-2) in a world cup qualifier.That match was d 1st match of the many matches(from nov.2009 to Oct.2013) that was used to determine nigeria's points/ranking for october.

But in d November ranking,we lost 14 points.That particular ranking was the average points gained from Dec 2009-Nov 2013.
The kenya win from Nov 2009(that helped get 724 points in the Oct ranking) now became irrelevent.
No match was played in Dec.2009.So
The 1st match of the many matches(From Dec.2009 to Nov.2013) dat was used to to determine nigeria's ranking for last month(Nov) was now our 3-1 loss to egypt in Jan 2010(AFCON).
That caused the slip.That loss to egypt in january 2010 cancelled out most of the points nigeria gained from matches(ethiopia and italy) last month.
So it is matches over a period of 4 years(4 years ago to present) that determines a country's FIFA rank.
Nigeria is slipping not really because of the kind of opponents we have been facing this year.

Many people argue that we have been slipping because we have not been playing matches against top teams.That is kinda wrong.
Though playing and getting good results against top ranked teams matters,the results we've gotten 4rm matches we've played this year is enough to rank us in d top 25 teams in d world only if our 2010 and 2011 were solid.
Even if we had played a friendly against spain this month and won,we would have moved up,but not more than 3 places.
If u've been following d ranking for d past 4 months,you would have discovered that some teams that loose matches gain points and climb up the table,but we that win matches loose points and slip down the table.The reason is because those team's previous years(2010/2011/2012) were solid,but ours were not good enough.
In the past 4 years we have only been outstanding this year,which is not enough.
If they were to rank teams based on matches played this year alone,nigeria would likely be 1st in africa and in the top 25 in the world.
But the ranking is based over a 4 year period.

Joseph Yobo is a great Central Defender, Omeruo too is a great central defender but sometimes our backline lacks leadership. Yobo can provide the co-ordination and leadership we need.

Also considering that Omeruo's immediate future at Chelsea is bleak, we need Yobo back in the squad at least. In case Omeruo is not match fit at the world cup

Its up to Keshi to decide who he thinks should start matches, Keshi himself was once a Central Defender and I trust his judgement

Omeruo even plays like he is more experienced than Yobo.Some of u judge players by age,instead of how well they perform.Thats wrong.
Omeruo over Yobo any day even if yobo plays for barca and omeruo is clubless.
And talking about "immediate future".Omeruo would be going on loan to a championship club in january.I heard he is almost close to joining a championship club on loan.He even gave a hint on twitter.So his future would be solved by january.
But tell me,when last did yobo play for fenerbahce in their league ??.I'm sure u dont even follow fenerbahce.I follow fenerbahce and d turkish league.Yobo last kicked a ball in d turkish league in early september.
He was injured but he returned from injury since about close to two months ago.Since then he has lost his place in d fenerbahce 1st team.He is currently a severe bench-warmer at fenerbahce.
Omeruo is currently even more active than yobo.Omeruo at times plays with d chelsea U/21s in the U/21 premier league,but yobo doesn't play AT ALL !!!.
Talking about leadership and coordination of d defence,enyeama does that superbly.We dont need yobo in our starting XI.On d bench as a squad player ?.Maybe.

Also,watch out for christantus macaulay.Many think he is finished,but he is not.He can still be a star and break into d S.E sooner or later.
He is currently one of the best strikers in d Spanish 2nd division(Liga adelante).The guy dey score like water for there.He has scored 7 goals in 13 appearances this season.His club
Las Palmas narrowly missed out on promotion to d la liga last season by goal difference.They are doing well this season,and who knows they may gain promotion to d la liga next season.Playing regularly and scoring in d la liga would automatically make him a candidate for d eagles.
IMO even now that he plays in d Liga adelante is enough to be considered for a call-up.
Abi Oduamadi,a bench-warmer for a buttom table team in d SERIE-B is a regular for d eagles.
Christantus plays regularly in d Liga adelante for a top team there.And he is scoring goals.
Liga adelante is a better league than d SERIE B.
