God Bless Nigeria Irrespective of whoever wins in the ongoing elections, there would have been some lessons learnt by the ruling party - that no group(s) of people are indispensable. Also, Nigerians must have realised the power they have in their votes. One thing I pray for is continuous improvement in our electoral system (which has been commendable by the way), so that our system would be one to emulate by other climes. If we keep this up, no poor-performing government would be able to exceed 4 years in office. The word 'incumbent' may become obsolete. I also pray that we as a nation, eventually do away with the seeds of tribal and religious intolerance planted in our history so we can discover our full potential as one Country. |
They were involved in a motor bike accident from reports. Oh dear! BREAKING: INEC staff dies in Benue State A yet-to-be identified electoral officer has lost her life while another was seriously injured in a road mishap that occured in Oju area of Benue State, Saturday morning, IDOMA VOICE has learnt. The incident happened along Obussa-Ebonyi road in Oju around 7:45 am. The two electoral officers were on their way to the polling unit they were posted to as adhoc staff in the ongoing presidential election on motorcycle, famously known as okada when the accident occurred. IDOMA VOICE gathered that while the lady died on the spot, the second whose identity was given as Austine is said to be in a critical condition at the moment. We keep you posted. http://www.idomavoice.com/2015/03/breaking-inec-staff-dies-in-benue-state.html. |
Why arrest someone capturing the exercise? That would be the surest evidence if any untoward event may take place. This is nonsense |

uboma:Op, there should be a number of affordable hospitals around your location that you could visit. In addition to identifying the causative organisms of the infection, certain medication will be prescribed by your doctor which should be taken as prescribed for a given period of time. Obviously, the self-treatment was not sufficient to clear the infection. Since the symptoms have been of recent onset, it will be advisable to tackle it early in order to avoid rather long-term complications from an apparently 'simple' infection. I believe you can still go to hospital for an evaluation without having cash for the whole treatment at hand at the moment, plus many doctors are understanding and will know how to work on your case. You can see a gynae preferably. |

Ishilove:Very possible. Especially when located at the lower uterine segment, reducing the size of the outlet. Though, this will depend on the size of the fibroid(s). Also, if the fibroid brings about an abnormal lie of the foetus, attempts at vaginal delivery would not be advised. Please Note: This depends on the location (lower part of the womb), number and size (esp if bigger than 5cm) of the fibroid. If the baby is lying in an abnormal position (most likely due to the existing fibroid). These are a number of factors that can hinder vaginal delivery. |
Oga OP, every person is entitled to his/her opinion and has personal expectations. There is nothing wrong with anyone except for those who believe votes should be based on tribal sentiments. |
Keneking:Great? ![]() |
A patient with fibroid can deliver vaginally. The most probable complications have been mentioned above by @allycat, although they are not common occurrences. In your sister's case, what was the reason for the 1st C/S? If the indication for the first C/S was not a 'modifiable' one, then this delivery should be by C/S. Again, even if your sister may be considered for Vaginal delivery, consideration must be given to the number, sizes and locations of the fibroids in order to avoid a possible bad scenario of obstructed labour with possible rupture of the uterus at the initial scar. Hope she is assessed properly and the best decision taken. All the best. |
That would be an indication that the electoral process was indeed a transparent, free and fair process. The major problem this administration had was the issue of corruption. Not one perpetrator relating to various scandals over the last 5 years was brought to book. And as Nigerians are, most adopted it as a way of life which ultimately had a boomerang effect bringing us to where we are today. I still blame the number one citizen who should know by now that we have a worthless justice system and who had the authority to ensure that at least, high profile cases were seen to the very end which would have served as a deterrent to most people. But it seems he wanted to 'please' certain people at the expense of the common Nigerians. I know corrupt Nigerians are not only in government or in the PDP. Corrupt Nigerians are among those screaming 'Change', corrupt Nigerians are among the population of security guards in the Country, corrupt Nigerians are among professionals, lecturers, even students. The only deterrent is a SURE penalty for the perpetrated crime. With that, Nigerians will adjust. If there is corruption in your justice system, then corruption becomes more or less legalised. |

Although critical of this government especially in the fight against corruption, this latest news of adoption is pure SHAM! It's getting obvious that some Quarters just prepare lies for the gullible and uninformed to swallow. Even if a legion of BH fighters emerged from hell to kidnap about 400 people, to where and how were the abducted moved from the town? To Chad? Niger? Cameroun? Sambisa? This news can only be true if BH disappeared with the abducted 400 into the thin air! |
Thanks Hakir. I actually did mine at AGIS. I intend to commence the process of obtaining the TDP + RofO and was directed from AGIS to area council (AMAC) and AACTRIS. To fulfil all righteousness, I went to AMAC to get directions only to experience some funny behaviour from members of staff there. I would advise everyone to be careful when taking even photocopies of land documents to that place. Jeeeezzz! |
Can anyone give more info on the process from acquiring an AMAC land to recertification, processing R of O, etc? |

@OP, Maybe the hospitals in your locality. I have even been privileged to head teams which have managed RTA patients and gun-shot wounds very successfully. You have to make informed assertions before coming to public to expose your limited knowledge. In emergency situations, sophisticated investigative procedures are rarely required to SAVE the lives of the patients; in fact, what you mentioned regarding setting up IV lines + fluid administration in an attempt to mock local health workers is one of the most important steps in saving such patients after arresting bleeding. Once patients are stabilised, they can be transferred to special units or centres. That is standard procedure all over the world. |

Op, that's what the situation is in this Country. Medical doctors have to know someone and present their recommendation before having any opportunity to get a job in any government facility. Unfortunately, these are virtually the only places offering such programs in Nigeria. In fact presently, that is no more sufficient, some are further made to pay hundreds of thousands before having their appointment letters handed over to them. No more about your area of interest or the passion, but using connections to get into any available position, which ideally should be occupied by persons with keen interests. That's why our health system is a joke. Imagine doctors in India doubting whether a doctor's report from Nigeria was actually written by a medical doctor. ![]() Wish you all the best in your career. |
Actually, referral abroad would be a far better option, considering the state of our healthcare after 16 years of PDP rule. #No electable candidate in Nigeria since 1960! |

Regarding the first pic, the object in the upper left may be the earth. As you see the moon from earth, you may also see earth from the moon. The flag has a horizontally placed rod/pole from which the flag hangs down. Some peeps may wonder how come the flag flies on the moon. But the astronaut is not anchored back to the spaceship. ![]() |
