First of all, the president was within his right to have signed the bill from anywhere; because technically he had not left office but on a working vacation - he broke no rules or was acting illegally.

Secondly, he is required by the constitution to inform the Senate and ONLY if his absence would exceed more than 21 days who he then be required to hand over power to the VP.

Thirdly, President Buhari is the ONLY president from 1999 to date to have handed power to his VP - he should therefore be commended and not castigated on a matter that he clearly has a choice and at liberty to exercise that choice.

In Africa, in a perverse way, blacks, without realising it, have embodied the meek, timid and subservient characteristics the outside world expects of them. When Nigerians are in their midst, Nigerians naturally take advantage of their unnaturally stupid ways. For their part, they also feel a subconscious outrage at Nigerians acting in a way that Africans themselves have only come to expect of whites. However, since Nigerians are black like them, when things get too much, they lash out at Nigerians in the way they would not lash out at whites.


Upshot is Nigerians are experiencing racism bent on subduing them. Outside world practices racism towards Nigerians and Africans practice embodied racism towards Nigerians.

I see your point; however, if it is about self assertiveness and mental emancipation from post colonial mentality; then what about other Africans e.g. Ethiopians who were in fact never conquered and colonised, they to have significant immigrant populations abroad, why not them? - there just has to be something innately wrong with us to attract such notoriety.
