I will be objective here. I think the fuel pump didnt fail. It wasn't properly fixed. So on filling the tank, it started leaking from the top. The pump is still good. I don't see how changing fuel pump will fix oxygen sensor code. But oxygen sensor code may not lead to car dragging. So autologic may have good reasons for changing the pump. NanaF, I think I wouldn't blame autologic even though I believe he is a textbook technician. If truly he replaced fuel pump based on oxygen sensor code, then he has a blame there. But again, I doubt it.

He told me plainly that the oxygen sensor is good and that the code is coming up because of the fuel pump and that changing the fuel pump will cause it to go away. He is worse than a textbook technician.

This doesn't make sense to me at all ,we changed fuel pump 7 months ago and fuel was leaking last week .So that means the car tank has been without fuel for 7 months untill week .

We have never filled the tank to it’s capacity. Due to the recent fuel scarcity, we were forced to.

My door is still open for you to bring your car for further test and I have told u to send your account number to refund your diagnosis fee if you still not feeling satisfied even after 7 month ,warrante has elapsed ,and you even admitted that the car is better !

We felt the car was ‘dragging’ but there was certainly no issue with speed. When you kept asking me I said it was better than before but nothing changed really, I remember telling you I am not the one who drives the car.

You ended up changing a perfectly good fuel pump that didn’t remove the oxygen sensor error code like you claimed it will. Is it the diagnostic fee that’s the issue here? Is that all the money I spent?

Don’t come on nairaland to be using internet knowledge to claim guru. Better learn work first before you spoil more cars

Another case study !
Let me address this and set the record straight
The car is Nissan quest 2008 and the complaint was bad performance issue and odd exhaust noise .
Car has been taking to other mechanics before for fix to no avail !
Scan result reveal O2 sensor issue ,system running lean !
We first did a drive test and we found out that car cannot barely move beyond 60km/hr and based on data before us ,our initially primary diagnosis test is to check for exhaust restrictions ,fuel pressure and intake and exhaust leak with diagnostics tool dedicated for such test .
Test reveal that the fuel pressure is very low below spec as depicted in the message below .
The manufacturer spec should be 50psi but the result indicates 40psi !Bad fuel pump .
To confirm further that it is truly due to faulty pump and we further check for further voltage drop that might arise due to resistance issue at the fuel pump terminal and also check for fuel line restrictions.All these test prove OK which indicate low fuel pressure is due to bad fuel pump .
Test for exhaust restriction and intake and exhaust leak prove ok

Lol. The car was moving well beyond 60km/hr. You must think this a joke. Are you kidding? This is a no.1 sign that you are a liar, you don’t know your work and you lack integrity.

I’m sure you know we spent more than the diagnostic fee based on your quack advice.

Like I said, this is just a warning to anyone who would want to use you. Refunding the diagnostic fee would do nothing for me.

You changed a perfectly good fuel pump that didn’t solve the problem like you claimed and months after it has failed. You should cover your face in shame and not come here to be typing all these.

I took my mums car to him months ago. The check engine light was on for oxygen sensor and we felt the car was not responding well when accelerating and making a light revving sound while driving. He charged us for diagnosis, 10k I think. More like charged us for trial and error.

At first he said the catalyst needed to be removed and that there was a problem with the exhaust system. Later he said the exhaust was ok. For the light revving sound he said he thinks it’s a hole in rubber hose close to the radiator, even I am not a mechanic and I know that sounds impossible.

He said there was nothing wrong with the oxygen sensor. That he had done tests and the fuel pump needed replacement. He said it was the fuel pump that was causing the oxygen sensor code.

Later I realized his work ended at giving ‘diagnosis’, other people would later do the work in his absence.

The fuel pump was changed in my presence and he was not there to do this so called test to see if this new fuel pump was ok.

According to him, we are to leave the car for days after work has been done for proper follow up checks. We brought a car to you not a sick patient please.

After the fuel pump was changed, the oxygen sensor code remained contrary to his diagnosis. The car performance issue didn’t change really. So we basically wasted money and time and nothing changed.

I didn’t want to say anything but I wish someone had left a review like this for me to read because I am still suffering from the damage Autologic did to my car months after. Whenever something new happens thats when I feel the pain again.

For evidence of doubt, do not patronize Autologic. He is a glorified consultant and that’s putting it lightly. He came highly recommended and that’s why I thought he was good. Do not, I repeat, do not make the same mistake I did.

After my first post, he contacted me and said I should bring back the car and he will fix it at no cost. If you were in my shoes, you will never take this offer because I can’t ever trust him with any car.

Dropbox is already an expedited procedure. We generally get through all of the dropbox cases submitted each day, but we do not have an option to further expedite the process. Applicants are always encouraged to submit their applications, whether for an in-person interview or via dropbox, well in advance of their planned travel.

We are aware of the need to plan the trip in advance as initial ticket was almost three weeks in advance of the travel date but we realized an issue with the ticket at the airport yesterday while boarding, hence the delay.

He is a student renewing his F1 visa. The next date for drop box after his arrival, is on the 27th of December. While his departure is on the 10th of January.

Is it realistic to expect the passport to be returned within these dates or do you advise that we pay another fee to schedule an expedited in person interview due to the current situation?

My brother is applying for a student visa. His flight schedule has been changed so he won't be able to drop the documents till after the 26th. He qualifies for Dropbox.

For students, is there a process for expediting Dropbox submissions or is expedition only available for in person interviews?

Depends on what you are planning to do in Thailand. Most people land in Bangkok International airport and then either stay in Bangkok or move to other places. And then for departure they return to Bangkok from their destinations.
I visited Thailand last year. My route was Bangkok then took a taxi from the airport to Pattaya which is where my hotel was. It's a bit like going from Abuja to Kaduna or Lagos to Ibadan.
Bangkok is very metropolitan while Pattaya has beach town and holiday spot feel about it. Of course there are other lovely destination like Phuket etc etc. A few photos from Pattaya below.
