Lols... Masters indeed! The thing is those that were called on merit got lucky because the high and mighty from their various states didn't get a hand on their slots.

DPR use to give priority to meritorious candidates until the 2016 recruitment.

The day I came out of the interview hall, one of their member of staff told me the recruitment has been completely hijacked and that I should just be prayerful and that all these ones we are doing here was just a formality.
I was still hopeful given that I personally knew some persons that got the job in 2013 without any connection of sort.

It was when they started calling I realised that all what the guy was saying were all true but was still hopeful.

We were even meant to believe that there was a 2nd list and was entirely for merits.

The thing is it was a bitter lesson and I'm glad I moved on.

Like somebody said earlier, not everybody that gets interviewed for a job will eventually get it. So many factors come to play in FG recruitments especially in highly-sought agencies like NNPC, DPR, NCDMB etc like State of Origin, Professional qualifications, Academic qualifications and so on.

I know a few guys that got into DPR without any connection, but I noticed one thing in common "they all had Master's degrees" .

My point here is several factors come to play in these highly-sought FG jobs, we just have to pray for God's favour, but people still get these jobs without connection.

Chai! Stop reminding me about the bitter experience of DPR. Is unfortunate how those of us that were interviewed were completely ignored. So sad but we move!

Bro, not all apllicants are members of nairaland. DPR recruitment 2016 thought us a great lesson. After the interview, nobody testified on the thread that he/she got the job. But DPR issued a memo that the recruitment had been concluded. So just chill and pray to be called for interview.

What sort of thread is this na? More like fuji house of commotion. You people should be calming down and let's wait for the next line of action from the recruiter o....
As you are knowing someone with high scores, you should also know that :
1. Course of study will play out.
2. State performance will play out.
3. Federal character will play out.

Many other factors will still play out. It ain't just about scores.

Is obvious that some people here are just entering the labour market and can't really control their frustrations. I feel bad that people who goes outside their comfort zone to seek information for you free of charge and you still had the audacity to call them names.

It is most rather unfortunate that people with these kinds of attitudes actually pass through the four walls of higher institutions of learning. You were awarded a certificate of degree in both character and learning. Meaning you are meant to be civil when speaking in public but you're here disgracing yourself and your village people simply because an information doesn't sit well with you .

After the second test, we write the third and then fourth and then fifth. In facts, we will continue writing tests. Make una dey calm down here o. This is a recruitment test o and not some semester exams in the university o

Just heard from a reliable source from inside NCDMB ( a GM). He said they still haven’t set the cut off mark but once they do, they’ll call for a second round of tests

Cut off mark is based on the performance of each state. For example, state A cut off mark may be 90 while state B cut off mark may be 70. The point is you're only competing with those from your state o.

If you wrote the test you should know that the recruitment is by NCDMB but if you're still having any doubts about it then you're lagging behind. Is that simple because even Quomodo systems, the firm that coordinated the test confirmed that. [quote author=Timon4real post=97817509][/quote]

There is also another angle to some of these speculations. NCDMB may probably not recruit so many candidates. However, they have several contracted projects which they may have specified to contractors on the percentage Nigerians that must be employed and are just seeing to it that these contractors employ the agreed number of staff and follow due process. Remember the application only mentioned oil & gas recruitment and not NCDMB recruitment. Please this is just an assumption but it is a possibility.
