Aloy+Emeka:Very funny. I know many will never get the gist. |

@RemKen Instead of this your long "tales by moonlight", just answer the question : Is zoning for the presidency alone? if the constitution says from councilorship to presidential slots, then just answer if zoning has been observed in governorship elections? @justdtruth Forget all this your parables quoted out of context. Everyone left the elections for SW as conciliation for the anullment of june 12 and subsequent death of MKO, thereafter, there has never been anything close to zoning. If OBJ had a better candidate from the south that , he was sure would beat Atiku, he would have fielded such instead of UMYA. In summary just answer the following questions: 1. Does the PDP practice this section as stated in the constitution at all levels? state, LG,senate or is it just for the presidency alone? 2. Why did the PDP exco sell forms to candidates from the north in 2003 and why did we have more southern candidates picking up forms in 2007 and why did we not hear this zoning noise from the north then? 3. What is the duration each zone can enjoy in office, must it be 8 years? 4. Since UMYA is from the north west, then why has the north not restircted it to candidates from the northwest. why do we have Atiku, ibb and saraki who are from North east and north central respectively? |
@dede1 Some say , the zoning issue was a gentleman agreement, while some others quote section 7.2(c). I want to save my self the stress of analysing this section. A law school student can stand as GEJ's lawyer and floor even respected SANs when this section is dissected in court. From the section of the constitution, first the enforcement of this rule has to be by the party exco at all levels. so a few questions: 1. 4. Since UMYA is from the north west, then why has the north not restircted it to canidates from the northwest. why do we have Atiku, ibb and saraki who are from North east and north central respectively? |
^^^^^^^^^^ Dont misquote the guy. He simply said Federal Character and Rotation are not the same thing and that is very correct. Federal character has been with use even in military regimes, but zoning/rotation is a fresh addition. |
^^^^^^^^^^^^ I asked you before and you decided not to see my question, so i repeat: Dede the lecturer and legal luminary, kindly explain section 7-2C of PDP constitution. please. |
Onlytruth:You self dey laugh abi? ![]() |
@onlytruth Bros I no abuse you na. well accept my apologies if you felt insulted by my post. First knowing that you have posted several threads to promote IBB, and the same you quickly attached GEJ to what happened in Owerri without convincing detail, did not go down well with me too. I am not, and cannot bully anyone to support any candidate, but I think I have a right to stand up to defend my candidate when he is being maligned without facts. peace. |
gregg2:Infact ehn, make GOD bless you. i have been shouting this same thing since, that zoning already rules out atiku, ibb and saraki |
emmydee:Did you say "we"? May be you are too young to know that words mean nothing to this man. In his 8 years he was using insha allah, I know he knows nigerians know what he means if he uses that phrase this time, so he has changed to for christ's sake. Dont say "we" again. You are free personally to give him a chance but to majority of nigerians, the guy na bad market. |
Abeg go and rest. If really there is zoning, why do we have northern candidates that are not from North west geopolitical zone in the race? Is it zoned to the north or to the north west geo-political region. secondly the constitution says "at all levels". Is that what has been happening at other levels or is zoning for presidency alone? Oil is an exhaustible resource and the un-born generation of the SS is already threatened. we know what these abokis will do when they finish the oil. Go to oloibiri and understand what I am saying. the place is now like a lepers enclave. |
johnterry4:see below: oludashmi:kai I fear yoruba ![]() |
Dede1:Dede the lecturer and legal luminary, kindly explain section 7-2C of PDP constitution. please. |
~Bluetooth:You wan register for comprehension class? If you no understand wetin GEJ talk, you for don talk so since, wey come dey waste man time. |
^^^^^^^^^ If you cant attack his argument , then just keep quiet. |
~Bluetooth:Oga go siddon for gutter. Attack GEJ's argument instaed of coming here to tell us he was a nobody. Another question is, if zoning is to be retained, should it not remain in UMYA's North west zone? why is atiku ,saraki and IBB shouting zoning, when if followed already disqualifies them? |
MetalGong4:Ohakim got elected as a PPA governor, as OUK'S boy. Then all of you applauded that OUK was standing up against evil PDP. Then Ohakim did nothing wrong. Suddenly he discovered that OUK was going to use him as bargaining tool to go back to PDP, the man refused and returned to PDP on his own. Now suddenly he is Jonathan's boy by your reckoning and he has suddenly turned bad. If there is any governor in the SE that i see as not being part of the GEJ's arrangement, it is Ohakim. It is common knowledge that one of the northern aspirants has started talking to him about a VP slot. Ohakim came to GEJ'S declaration ground and just wasted , the entire time singing as if he is in a church choir. He did not utter any word about the declaration. I simply laughed when i saw it. We refuse to be decieved. |
Onlytruth:Only. . . . you know better than what you just posted. I have every reason to think so, except if something happened to you lately ![]() We all know that the state governor as the chief security officer of the state weilds considerable powers in this regard. nuff said. I have said it before and will repeat that for now it stops at Ohakim's desk, until you can provide better details, dont bring GEJ in here. Besides , I thought it was an Igbo summit, designed to advance Igbo interest, and the venue was not available hence the meeting did not hold. One of the conveners even said ‘This summit is not anti-Jonathan in any way. We have summoned a session of Igbo leaders to articulate Igbo’s interest and it is on this basis, we will go round to negotiate with any presidential aspirant, including the President or any power bloc." Now explain how it suddenly turned an "Anti-Goodluck Jonathan Summit " as the caption states? You and your paid journalists are only being clever by half. On this your overstated free and fair elections organised by IBB, i must tell you that the Nigerian people have more of the credit for that election than your evil candidate. People got tired of IBB's schemes and everyone decided to work for the success of the elections so the evil one (who is a genius only in his fantasy world) to just go. The mumu was overtaken in his schemes as there were a lot of traps he set to make the elections from option A4 fail. Even on the day of election, there were no roofings in the polling booths . Remember this election took place in june when during rainy season. This was designed to use the rain as excuse to cancel the elections, but wetin yoruba use pass IBB na juju. There was no rain in any ward throughout the election and collation period. Do you know that your candidate IBB , only realised the june 12 election was free and fair when he felt it was time to start campagning? see what IBB said on june 26 1993 when he annuled the elections It is true that the presidential election was generally seento be free, fair and peaceful. However, there was in fact a huge array of election malpractices virtually in all thestates of the federation before the actual voting began. There were authenticated reports of theelection malpractices against party agents, officials of the National ElectoralCommission and also some members of the electorateNow after annuling a free and fair election, IBB's supporters now use it as a credential to support IBB's claim that afterall he organised a free and fair election. An election that the evil one knew from day 1 that he would not honour. someone said "It is better to fail in a venture that will ultimately succeed, than to succeed in that , that will ultimatle fail" nuff said. |
All these students in secondary school hardly read these days. Its either EPL,UCL or facebook. How can they pass? seriously there is an urgent need to refocus these children and it will require the collective effort of parents, govt and school authorities. |
guddsid:Just imagine what nigeria would have looked like, if Abacha had not died and still tell me IBB did the best thing. I know even the IBB camp never expected this kind of resistance, he thought 17 years is enough to re-format the brains of Nigerians. |
^^^^^^^^^^^ The rantings of mentalgong. |
Senator Kanti Bello, Deputy Director-General of IBB Presidential Campaign Organization has said that Nigeria must reject a repeat of June 12, 1993 presidential election won by the late Chief Moshood Abiola owing to what he described as the sycophancy of most Nigerians that knew the truth then, but chose to look the other way.My problem with this man is that he is too dull. How can any sane person in IBB's camp come up with a statement like this, when it is evident that it serves to further discredit IBB? |
Onlytruth:And must you bring jonathan into this? I know you have gradually emerged as IBB's mouthpiece here on NL, but dont bring GEJ's name into this until you have sufficient info to back your claims. But on a lighter note, are we saying none of these heavyweights own a hotel that could have been used? Besides must the meeting be held in a hotel? |
oyb:Na wetin dey tire me for NL be dis. Is there a mix up anywhere? if the article says 23 and the headcount is 27 then there is a problem. from there we can now make attempts at ascertaining if all the people listed actually travelled. Be civil abeg. |
monkeyleg:Your article says 23 and you listed 27, correct me if i am wrong or reconsile this difference. |
@Gbawe Your GPA don drop seriously. This is too cheap if originally desidned as a blackmail tool against GEJ. come up with something better. |
@9ijaMan Even buhari did not deny the lopsidedness of the PTF projects, his only defence was that he wanted to focus on some parts of the north first, and that he had a plan to later give better attention to the southern parts before the fund was scrapped. The question people asked was if from 1994-1998(4 whole years) he focused on the north mainly, then may be there was no plan to really spend the funds in the south as he claimed. If person use 40 years learn how to crase, then how many years remain to practice the crase proper |
^^^^^^^^^ see this: The truth is that Buhari ran a clearly lopsided organisation with its plethora of consultants concentrated in the northern parts of the country. This issue of disparity in project execution was one of the reasons critics of the Fund kicked against it. The imbalance in PTF distribution of projects and award of contracts is so glaring when one views the North-West Zone against other zones. The South-Eastern Zone is worst hit by the lopsidedness of the Fund in projects selection and execution. |
^^^^^^^^^^^^ You are only trying to twist my words. Anyway i don hear you. |
^^^^^^^^^^ Why not talk straight , instead of this corner side talk? The activities of danbazau and some officers like maina have been interpreted to mean loyalty to some arewa script and not necessarily to the nation. Some soldiers even petiotioned the presidency. That some military action is in the offing as a last resort by the pro-arewa politicians is no longer news. so what are you talking about? Abeg go rest. |
@mikeansy Well, the "sack" in the context of the article comes accross as retirement for a lot of them and not necessarily a mere "reshufflement" as you see it. well I just saw this , and maybe , just maybe you are right that its just a routine reshufflement: The seeming ongoing country’s’ security re-organisation which started two weeks ago by President Goodluck Jonathan, on Friday took a new twist as the Nigerian Army carried out a posting exercise, which resulted in the redeployment of some of its major senior officers. The posting as contained in a statement issued by the Director, Army Public Relations Chris Olukolade, revealed that the reshuffle brings J.O Shoboiki, a Major General to become the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division, M.D Abubakar, a Brigadier General move to GOC 2 Division, S.O Idoko, a Major General to GOC 3 Division, K.T.J Minimah, a Brigadier General to GOC 81 Division, SY Bello, a Major General to GOC 82 Division, M.A Nasamu, a Brigadier General move to Commander Army Headquarters Garrison and E.J Atewe, a Colonel is now the Commander Brigade of Guards.Similarly, C.O Onwuamaegbu, a Major General is now commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy as the former Academy’s helmsman M.A Yerima, a Major General move to the Defence Headquarters as Chief of Training and Operations. C.O Omoregie, a Major General is also now the new Commander of the Joint Task Force. The Army Headquarters also have new principal staff officers, which includes O Akinyemi, a Major General as the Chief of Policy and Plans, L.P Ngubane, a Major General is now the Chief of Training and Operations, B.S Usara, a Major General takes over as the Chief of Army Standards and Evaluation, B.C Azunrunwa, a Major General as the Chief of Logistics, A.B Maitama, a Major General assume the duty of the Chief of Administration.Mr Olukolade states that other positions affected by the posting, are a few staff appointments at the Defence and Army Headquarters. The Army however, states that the posting were carried out as step to cater for “deployments in the force following recent retirements and appointments in the Nigerian Army. Affected officers are expected to resume at their new posts immediately.”Earlier in the month, a statement by Ima Niboro, the president’s spokesman, announced the sack of the country’s service chiefs inherited from the Yar’Adua administration and named the newly appointed service chiefs as Oluseyi Petinrin, an Air Marshal who becomes the chief of defence staff; Onyeabo A. Ihejirika, a Major General, is chief of army staff; O.S Ibrahim, a Rear Admiral, is chief of naval staff; and Mohammed Dikko Umar, an Air Vice-Marshal, steps in as chief of air staff. Mr Ihejirika is the first Igbo to head the Army since the end of the civil war. Also, the former inspector general of police, Ogbonna Onovo was replaced by Hafiz A. Ringim who will be acting in that capacity while Ita Ekpeyong replaces A.A Gadzama as the new director general of the State Security Services (SSS). |
This is really sad. But I understand the two of them had failed the test before and that it was only a makeshift attempt to get them in that caused this problem. |
