Hi Johnstan,

Update:
I reached Vfs via webchat the next day and they confirmed it had been sent to DHL.. DHL just wanted to confuse their ancestors the passport was picked up today.

I think "lying" is a strong word

By the way, this inquiry was for my sister resuming at Conestoga in January.

Thank you

Little background
AOR Aug 22
Biometric Aug 23
Medical request Oct 15
Medical done Nov 2nd IOM
Medical passed Nov 5
PPR Nov 14
Sent to DHL Nov 15
Passport pick up Nov 30

I wish all of you the best. Most importantly speaking from experience because I also did the Express entry application, just provide the right information (see yourself as a visa officer and scrutinize your documents) but most importantly put all your confidence in GOD

johnstan:

That's great. The info I quoted was as at early this week, except the person was lying about his feedback from DHL.

Here's the quote.

Thanks again

All web chat officers are currently busy that’s been the response for about 30mins now

I will just hold on and keep trying quote author=johnstan post=118746165]

Don't call, chat them on their website they respond in minutes. That's how I contact them.
Hold your tracking number handy tho.[/quote]

Thank you for your response I have tried 2phone numbers one from their website and another one I found here on naria land but they are both unreachable quote author=johnstan post=118745744]

I'm not certain about this stage but VFS always state that they usually return ppts through their own courier service and I don't think it's DHL.

Why not contact VFS to know the courier service they used so you can track the package and retrieve it timely.

I submitted my passport on the 15th of NOV got final correspondence on Friday that passport is Lagos … Counterfoil and letter of introduction already on my profile problem is DHL stated that they have a new policy and do not process return anymore and I should wait for VFS to contact me … it’s so annoying because I paid 2way
Any one in this boat ?

Was rushing to comment as well

Please don’t send your Passports to London for now .. the Nigerians that have sent are experiencing delay

You can send to Accra Cairo and I think Germany and Kenya are currently the fastest VO’s

quote author=Lorenza post=111651433]Oh my! Wish I had seen this earlier. I truly hope you haven’t sent your passport to London VO. They are sitting on passports from Nigeria.

They have received plenty passports from Nigeria and are not treating as priority

Gather the documents stated in the email which every is applicable to your case and raise via webform for addition of your new born

If you want you can also do upfront medicals for you new born and also add updated pof if previous is not sufficient for the additional member

Long time no hi Bekayy

Gather all documents required by IRCC and your VFS:

1. International Passport(s)

2. 2 Passport Photographs (see further instructions below in addendum 1)

3. Passport Request Letter (aka ready for visa mail)

4. Duly filled Height and Eye Colour Chart. (A single form containing details for every member of the family)

5. IMM008 for those with a change in family composition (by a birth, death, marriage or divorce, etc)

6. 1 CVAC form. With only page 2 filled in by PA. Do not fill pages 3 & 4. Also advisable to fill in Caps. Ink color doesn't matter.

Put all documents in an envelope and proceed to DHL or any courier of your choice and pay for a one-way delivery to the VFS centre where you reside: Abuja or Lagos. Since I reside in Abuja, I sent mine to Abuja via UPS. You do not have to pay any fee if your submission centre also served as where you did your biometrics. That is: if you are submitting to Abuja and you did your biometrics in Lagos, you'd have to pay the transmission fee.

VFS sends to Accra, who will then submit to the high commission.

Addendum 1.
-2 recent passport photos per person.
-Not older than 6 months
-In Canadian PR dimension (refer to photo chart)
-1 detailed copy with the name and DOB of the person at the back. Below that, write or stamp the Name
& address of photo studio with date photo was taken.
-A second copy for each person is left plain

Other Things to note:

1. Wait for the VFS tracking details— they will give you update on when it will be sent to IRCC and when it will be returned to you
2. Wait for the return of your passport— VFS also uses DHL or any other courier to return.

You may get the below mail from ircc
charlesu69:
Hi All, please can you advise on how long it usually takes to get a response via webform? its been up to a month since i raised to add my baby, just wanted to know if its normal.

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Natalie27: 2:18pm On Feb 21, 2022
Ircc must be informed about any change in family composition before any one arrives else it would be deemed misrepresentation at the Point of Entry

So she has to inform them and she would be guided on the document to submit in other to add her spouse .. in the days where web forms were responded to quick she would have been asked to ignore the RFV mail

Lotusgoddess:

If I were you, I'd submit and do spousal sponsorship because ppr came before the wedding

Just putting out there that you can get NIN and new passport for your baby in a month .. you don’t need that wait this long

Furthermore,if you choose to stay consider the time frame for adding your baby to PPR again can take more than 9months due to forces beyond your control as listed below
1. Getting NIN for your baby (1-3months)
2.Getting your baby passport (1-3months)
3.Getting re medicals for your family as your medicals could be expiring or close to and getting a date might be hectic (2-3month)
4.Delays from IRCC with adding your baby(1-9months)
5.Eventual getting a fresh Ppr.

There is no right or wrong answer just consider all the variables and make a decision

Gift deed doesn’t need to be fixed for any period of time.. you can get it before or after ITA.. just provide a gift deed and supporting documents to show inflow and outflow..
Nickxander11:

Pls when do you advice to secure the gift deed and how long does it need to be in mutual funds, fixed deposit etc before it can serve as POF?

I was told same and then I had to do another urinalysis test the next day because of high levels of protein in my urine and it wasn’t free. When I did my research I discovered that proteins can leak from your blood into your pee.

So what I did the next day was to pee first , then pee again and submit that one..

Canada’s immigration department is increasing processing fees at the end of the month for foreign nationals who wish to become permanent residents.

The fees that foreign nationals pay include operational, processing and service delivery costs related to all permanent residence immigration programs.

The new regulations come into effect on April 30, at 9 a.m. EDT. Completed applications received before this time will be processed in accordance with the current fee schedule. Applications received on or after that time that do not include the correct fees will be returned to the applicant as incomplete.

Thats quite strange as my colleague did NIN for his 8day old daughter at Ikoyi but that place is crazy. You can just go to zenith bank at Ajose but it takes time , i went there on a friday, i wrote my name and was told to return next the friday for capturing and would get my NIN in two weeks. I took my chance and went to Ikoyi.
vitrendy4eva:
Not to derail the thread...but has anybody recently processed the new e-passport(Nigerian) for a baby recently? NIS is insisting on NIN registration first, and NIMC has refused to register the baby, saying baby's too young for capture. It's just really annoying.

Nop.... it will still progress.

Just curious for those who get PPR before the estimated completion date, does the tracker automatically reflect 100%

Thanks so much @bankyh1905!

You were very correct.

Update:

Passport Submission: December 20th, 2019

Passport Collection: January 21st, 2020

N/B: I politely asked for a refund of fees paid for passport transmission, but I was told approval for implementation of policy came later for Lagos office, so no refunds were possible for those who already paid. (I just had to try my luck smiley )

If the couple are able to prove beyond reasonable doubt with evidences then it should be okay.. there was once a PPR story here on Naira land about a lesbian couple who were common law partners with a dependent child and they are currently in Canada. So i believe it is possible.

Silversurfer1:

I don't believe we have common law partnership under the law in Nigeria. I maybe wrong but I think the law only recognizes traditional and Court/Chruch/Mosque wedding. If that's the case, it's not something you can prove. Someone that knows more about this should add their voice though

Hi Bekayy,

Please is there any update on your passport collection? Been waiting for mine too. Submitted on the 17th of December, got stamped on the 10th of January.
