ikorodureporta:Reconsidered?? So, when security threats come up you will be part of the people who will call out the Government for not being proactive |
ikorodureporta:It is a gradual process as regards the inner streets. Didn't you read the post to understand how whatever it is you are proposing won't work? Is it until you start hearing of many deaths in Lagos, then you blame the government for doing nothing when they should? Ask yourself if regulation or whatever you propose will work. When the same government came up with PPE for the riders, what happened at the end? Do they still keep to it? No regulation can address this. Even with traffic management, haven't you seen bikers zoom off? I can only support you on the road construction. |
sosospence:That it makes sense to people doesn't make it scriptural or Biblical. We are to be guided alone by the Bible and not whether it makes sense to people or not. This is the essence of being a believer. |
sosospence:Does this make sense? |
Correcto:He is referring to the water form of the Biblical manna the Israelites ate while on journey to promise land from slavery. What religion will cause in this country, only God Himself will help. Not only the manna water, how about power must change hands? If he reads from the Bible, he should have realized that no power changes hands. Colossians 1:13 and Psalm 62:11 confirm this. If power changes hands, is it from the Devil to God or God to Devil? He needs to also clarify this from the Bible. |
Two things are important for the birth of Jesus Christ - the virginity and then, lineage of David according to prophecy. Back to your question, if Mary wasn't a virgin, the birth of Jesus would have been through someone else of the lineage of David. The virginity was so important to the birth of Christ as the child needs to form in a pure and untouched womb For Mary to have been chosen for this having met the two criteria was purely due to favour. She was highly favoured |
The same revolution was used by this APC government when there were still the opposition party, why wasn't there any arrest? The law at many instances have been manipulated or interpreted to suit personal idea or thought. Everyone has a right to freedom of expression but what APC does not guarantee is the freedom after expression. Just as this case, DSS filed a case in court and after 41 days of permitted investigation, court granted Sowore bail but he wasn't released. They filed a different case on some count charges against Sowore at a different court, he was granted bail but they didn't honour this. Rather, they held him for 125 days before his release while acting as a parallel court. Even after releasing him, they still want to rearrest him on another count charges, does this make sense? Let's even assume that there wasn't any drama in court, do they have any right to rearrest him? This has always been their usual style - release, rearrest and detain. Tell me if the rule of law is respected. GeoAfrikana: |
CAPSLOCKED:This is one of the reasons our country is not progressing. We need to call a spade a spade. What have our politicians put in place in the first instance to make the environment better? You talk about littering the environment, if our politicians do the needful by making life comfortable while they put in place right facilities, don't you think Nigeria will be better? Do you think the people in UAE are different from Nigerians? The only difference is that they have a working government while we have sick and self enriching politicians. Tell me if employment is created for the masses rather than being left to hustle for living or if our politicians put in place better waste management facilities and make developmental works a priority. Will anyone in his right senses after seeing a neat and well manged system, still go ahead and litter the environment? Please also tell me why the same Nigerians who go to other country will not even attempt or dare to litter the environment over there? It is simple the Politicians left us to do everything for ourselves and went about being deceptive on responsibilities. A governor of a state simply because of making potable water accessible to rural areas, went about doing banners and bill boards on this achievement. Tell me, if this is not one of his responsibilities in the first instance? I am tired of people passing blames on the citizens when the politicians themselves have not done enough in making ANYTHING better. |
lomprico:Not all dance originated from the world and that you have some in the church still doesn't make it right |
lomprico:That is where you are getting it wrong. We must not conform to the world in all ways. |
lomprico:God does not need to tell you the origin of the dance and how it was danced. Tell me its origin. Did the dance come from the church? |
Born2Breed:Don't get it wrong on the Master to Slave mentality. Read 1 Peter 3:5-65 For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves. They submitted themselves to their own husbands, 6 like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her LORD. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear. Submission is the key word and not a slave mentality. Was Sarah wrong to have called Abraham, Lord (Master)? Sarah despite calling Abraham her Lord was the one who convinced Abraham to go in with the maidservant. If Sarah were to be a slave as you have put it, will there be any discussion with Abraham or Abraham consenting to the will of Sarah? We seem to have developed many views nowadays and this is the reason we are in the mess we are today - Divorce, broken home, uncultured children and many more. This comment is not in anyway supporting the view women weren't in the plan from the beginning as how else do we explain where God said it is not good for a man to be alone? |
According to Tinubu, if you leave a Naira on the table with Buhari, you will still meet the Naira on the table later on.... This is the reason we don't need Buhari anymore. He lacks the idea to convert a Naira to Two Naira and then, leave both on the Table. Honesty is not enough in being the Leader of over 180 million citizens. We need a leader with ideas. |
MuttleyLaff:He who finds a wife doesn't mean literally that it is done outside God. It is just like when God wanted a new King for Isreal after Saul. The Bible recorded that 'God SOUGHT for a man after His heart'. Why will God search and not just pick? You can search for this with the help of God and His standard as laid down in His word for you. Does God chooses? Yes, but the choice is your to either accept or reject this. There is nowhere in the Bible where it was mentioned that God backed out from choosing spouses for man. Let's not add to what the scriptures never said. |
MuttleyLaff:Never speak for God when He never spoke. The statement you quoted shows Adam just finding excuses for not taking responsibility for his actions. Also, after he uttered this statement, the Bible never said that God withdrew from deciding for men. Infact, no actions suggested that God withdrew from affairs of men instead He became more interested. As they were sent out of the garden of Eden, God gave them a better covering as clothes compared to the plant they have as cover. It will be very wrong to speak where the Bible never spoke. Please, take note of this. Many got guidance from God to choose the right spouse. Finally, God still chooses but we need to have a personal confirmation too as against just meeting with prophet. Some might not see anything and yet speak that God chose this and that. God can never make a mistake but man is fallible. |
Immaculatesnow:I think you should question your thought and conclusion on matters. Can you answer the following questions with all sincerity? 1. The killings causing unrest in the North and Nigeria, is this as a result of churches? 2. The spread of killer cattle rearers (Fulani Herds men) who moved about in most states wiping out communities, is this as a result of churches? 3. That the government failed to provide adequate social amenities and refused to attend to the needs and cries of a region where the FG generate more of her income and they in turn resort to violence, is this as a result of churches? 4. When the government failed to be sincere in tackling issues heads on and result in blame game while citizens see that the FG has nothing to offer but they are to defend themselves, is this the fault of churches? You have failed to tackle the real issues causing unrest in this country based on failed leaders who have refused to take proactive measures in addressing issues affecting the peace of the nation and then resort in baseless thought. We have selfish leaders who are just concern about themselves and their interest. Fine, there are excesses in the church but your thought and conclusions are faulty. |
statusquoante:Mr. Ogbon, didn't you read on the pages of newspapers where it was said that about 24 Governors backed the return of Oyegun and Buhari also was in support. The game later changed when Jagaban spoke otherwise and things changed, Oyegun had no option but to leave. |
bonechamberlain:There is nothing like being tamed here. The elders in Lagos APC are all against Ambode even Tinubu’s enemies back then who felt cheated for choosing Ambode as the party's candidate. If he is being tamed, how come Ambode has no rest of mind and he is running here and there just to secure his seat. Ambode to me is not politically sound. |
Ambode is just been childish and going about this whole thing in a sick and unprofessional manner. |
Naychuzzy:Stop giving Ambode credit that is common to all government that had served in this democratic dispensation in Lagos State. They all paid salaries and didn't owe any. Tinubu in particular did this easily despite Federal government not releasing state funds. So, please let's be objective when addressing issues. Ambode's press conference yesterday was rubbish and shouldn't come out from the Governor of a state. He acted childish and desperate. We talk easily about what is and shouldn't and forget the fact that the same hands he is biting were the ones that fed him. He was brought in during a tough party situation despite more qualified candidates in the party who are politically sound. Let's not forget that this man was selected despite many opposing his candidature, only to get there and turnaround. Something similar is done to him and he turns out to act like a child. I am not a fan of Tinubu but honestly assess the situation of Lagos, attention is paid to infrastructure in major region while other areas suffer seriously. Ambode has done considerably well but could have done more considering the funds available to him Hmmm.... |
Naychuzzy:Don't ever compare achievements.. If Ambode were in Tinubu's era as the Governor he will fail woefully. I need to remind you that despite Lagos state denied Federal Allocation, Tinubu ensured that the state was working and not just that he saved money that was enough to rescue the Federal Government (the records has this when Tinubu transferred power to to Fashola). Ambode is in more debts than ever before going by the projects carried out. So, please be objective when you make your points |
hisgrace090:Does this then mean that they were drunk? |
Evince:So, if this statement is made it means they were drunk? Why turn His word upside down because of your selfish purpose? Why? |
hisgrace090:You added yours to the Bible. There was no part where drunkenness was included |
ultimate77:Pastors are also called priest in some churches. Don't just attach this to the Catholics. |
olujastro:Fashola wasn't all that successful in waste management too as many complained under his tenure. Ambode's waste management is no doubt really poor. Wait o, are you referring to the same PSP? Did you mention door to door pickup? Guy, take it easy in praising Fashola. PSP were worse in my area, they come to my area, ring the usual bell to make known their presence and in less than 5 mins they are nowhere to be found. Despite handling an area of over 100 families living in that area. We depended on those truck pushers for our waste disposal. If you also listen to radio, you will hear back then of many people complaining on air of the poor services rendered by PSP. On this matter, nobody holy pass. |
flexyrule:Sad Truth |
prettysassygirl:You are right but the lady in question has also paid him back in the same coin, so it makes no difference. Treating someone like trash is an assumption. Can I also present another assumption - what if her kind gesture that very day changes the man totally such that his bad attitude leaves him while learning a great lesson. This is also a possibility because kind acts at times goes a long way in performing the miraculous in others. Imagine what would be going through the man's mind at the time knowing he was doomed and rather than being doomed, the lady surprised him for good. |
Doing good doesn't always have to come with condition. We naturally get offended by the wrongs done to us but kindness should look beyond what was done by repaying good with evil. Just a thought though. |
iloveyou82:I think you should review the statement from our President and even the presidency too, you will hear statement like Fulani herdsmen don't carry gun but stick and Politicians are the ones involved in the killings. If you also look into statements from citizens who faced these attacks, they will tell you that the murders were committed by herdsmen. If you say Politicians are instilling fear in citizens, is ranching then the solution to the killings? Why ranching when the president claims Fulani herdsmen don't carry gun but all has been politically motivated? |
Here is a great writeup from someone whose thought process is still intact than one lady whose thought is upside down. The song by Falz is for those who are reasonable and can really reflect on the truth in it. Those who are to uphold law and order in the society are the ones who are lawless. Those who are to ensure righteousness is appreciated are the ones found in unclean acts. We see the abnormal as being normal when others are been swindled of their hard earned money. Yet, one lady spewed rubbish all in the name of trying to post something. Some have turned money extortion to part of their daily duties from citizens who wakeup as early as possible just to make a living. Nigeria is messed up and those who are in the position to make things right are only laughing at the state of things. |
Charly68:If you have watched the video you will understand the points, from yahoo boys, fake pastors, silly police officers, our selfish politicians etc. This video if watched with a clear mind has great messages that will change our view as Nigerians and strive for a better nation. Aren't you tired of the wrongs in this country? Aren't you fed up with the way things are in this nation? |
