ireneony:And then, they will tell you that you are respecting the anointing and not the age as if Pastors have one special oil on themselves when every believer are anointed of God. |
Dreal11247:Haba.... Fear God. He is a man of God for Christ sake and not just that, he is from a Baptist, the church with strong Biblical principles. |
papayeye:Guy, it's best not typing anything than typing this. Must we always bring tribal differences to National issues? You need to make findings about this man and you'd be rest assured that a new dawn has come. I am a Baptist and I know what this true man of God had done in the Baptist denomination. God bless His church as a positive change has come. |
Take my life and let it be Consecrated, Lord, to Thee. *Take my moments and my days, Let them flow in endless praise. Take my hands and let them move At the impulse of Thy love. Take my feet and let them be Swift and beautiful for Thee. Take my voice and let me sing, Always, only for my King. Take my lips and let them be Filled with messages from Thee. Take my silver and my gold, Not a mite would I withhold. Take my intellect and use Every pow’r as Thou shalt choose. Take my will and make it Thine, It shall be no longer mine. Take my heart, it is Thine own, It shall be Thy royal throne. Take my love, my Lord, I pour At Thy feet its treasure store. Take myself and I will be Ever, only, all for Thee. |

For the past 12 hours , the internet has been agog with the end of year drama between Nigerian pop star, Davido and his babymama , Sophie who happens to be the cousin of magazine publisher , Dele Momodu. The story has been in series , starting from the airport drama on December 29 , 2015 to the petition written against Davido by Sophie to Davido ’ s lengthy open letter. Now, Dele Momodu, who has been caught in the middle of the whole brouhaha, has spoken , and it’ s quite deep . Read below … In September 2015 , I got a call from Dr Adedeji Adeleke, a long time family friend , telling me his son had fathered a baby girl with my cousin , Sophia Momodu . I rejoiced with him as any reasonable soul would do . He apologised that he had not called all along because he wasn ’ t sure if Sophie’ s baby was going to turn out a fake one like that of two others who had turned up at his doorstep. But mercifully, according to Dr Adeleke , Sophie ’ s baby passed the DNA Test by over 98 percent and he was elated. I congratulated him again as a proud grandfather . He said he would like to meet me with Sophie since Sophie ’ s dad , Uncle Jibola Momodu, passed on years ago and Sophie mentioned me as her cousin . I had known about Sophie’ s baby through her first cousin Ruth Abraham and had called to congratulate her . I was happy when she sent me pictures of the baby and other romantic pictures with David Adeleke , aka Davido . But I never contacted David ’ s dad deliberately so as not to create the impression of begging for marriage . Where we come from , it is the man who approaches the lady ’ s family to plead to be allowed to marry into the family . MUST READ : Full text of Davido ’s open letter to estranged baby mama Prior to this phone call from Dr Adeleke , Sophie had narrated to me how on the 11 th July , 2015 , she was tricked to Davido ’ s sister , Coco Adeleke’ s house with her baby, Imade Aurora Adeleke . After getting to the house on Baderinwa Alabi Street , Lekki Phase I, Lagos, her baby was forcefully taken from her and she was thrown out of the premises with the threat that she would be decisively dealt with if she ever bothered to return there . There were armed policemen in the premises and to avoid what could have been a messy encounter, instinct prevailed on her to make her leave her breast suckling baby behind, with so much pain in her heart. By daybreak on the next day, Sophie was again at Coco Adeleke ’ s house to take her baby, but she was prevented by armed policemen from gaining access into the house . She was again threatened and warned never to return for the child . READ : How Dele Momodu confirmed Davido’ s responsible for Sophie Momodu baby Despite the pain and trauma my cousin was made to undergo, I restrained myself from getting directly involved in the matter and appealed to her to stay calm and take it easy with the Adelekes. But after the phone call from Dr Adeleke , precisely on September 10, 2015 , I picked up Sophie and her mum and drove to Dr Adeleke ’ s home in Lekki, Lagos . All through this time , I had waited patiently to meet Dr Adeleke with questions probing for answers . Dr Adeleke invited two of his close friends to the meeting namely His Majesty OBA ADEDOKUN ABOLARIN and Mr Wale Adeeyo . We went into lengthy discussions. His daughter Coco had brought in the little baby and both attended the meeting . Sophie and her daughter , Imade Dr Adeleke explained why it took some time to call me and I said I understood . Dr Adeleke said the baby was discovered to have traces of marijuana in her during medical test and said he believed Sophie and David were smokers and he needed to protect the child from two irresponsible parents, as he described them . He told the gathering that the baby would be under temporary custody and observation. He directed that Sophie would come to his house every Sunday to see her baby. Our family agreed . He promised to pay Sophie a monthly upkeep . We thanked him for his kindness. He promised to buy her a car . We were grateful for his generosity . We had dinner with him and left . David was not present . Sophie said she got the monthly upkeep but never got the car and that she prefers to have her baby back and the Adelekes can keep their money. I called Dr Adeleke and he said I should allay her fears. I pleaded again for patience. I was shocked when Sophie called me desperately and said her daughter was being taken to Dubai by Coco . I immediately called Coco and she said she was taking the baby for intensive medicals and I wondered how she would pass through the airport without the consent of Sophie but she actually did and even sent me pictures from Dubai. I played it cool and encouraged Sophie to calm down. Sophie Momodu and her uncle , Dele Momodu in London . Sophie became withdrawn and extremely saddened . The situation went from bad to worse . She and David became aggressive enemies . At a point , David sent messages to Sophie and using the ‘ f ’ word against me. His father was shocked and called him to apologise which he did and I accepted and even told him how much I love him . The worst came when my wife came from London and went with Sophie to check on the baby at Coco ’ s house and they were literally walked out and told they were not welcome in her house . My wife called and I called Dr Adeleke who said they should go to his house and wait for him . Their meeting did not go well because my wife asked when the baby would be returned to her mum and Dr Adeleke went into the same old story of marijuana abuse and Sophie said she was ready for a test which Dr Adeleke wasn ’ t interested in. Dr Adeleke explained why the car had not been bought and my wife told him the baby was the issue and not the car . Dr Adeleke didn ’ t like the sound of this but it was reaching a point that some truth needed to be told that a baby cannot be bought with money. Davido and Sophie Momodu. I flew to Nigeria on December 28, 2015 after Sophie told me the Adelekes were travelling to Dubai with her baby without her consent again . As soon as I landed I called Uncle Wale Adeeyo, a close confidant of Dr Adeleke and expressed our displeasure at the way Sophie was being treated and he promised to speak to Dr Adeleke. When he came back to me he didn ’ t sound too positive . We spoke several times and nothing tangible came out of his supposed intervention. I called Oba Dokun Abolarin but he was busy at a wedding in Ibadan . I then called Uncle Wale again and told him Sophie has plans to stop the trip on the knowledge that David has collected an American passport for the baby and the rumour that the baby was being abducted to America. I pleaded that we should avoid a confrontation. I headed to the airport to alert the authorities including Immigration and Emirates . As predicted , the Adelekes arrived the airport with the baby where Immigration had laid in wait for them . Coco came forward and was asked who the mother of the baby was and she claimed ownership and her passport and that of the baby were taken away by Immigration . Her dad was alerted and he came to the office of the Comptroller with others to try and rescue the passports but the Immigration stood their grounds. I saw him making frantic calls but he gave up after the flight departed. He repeated the same boast that no one could ever take the baby from him and I told him to stop talking like God. No one likes a fight but we have been treated shabbily and had to stop the charade . We could not be intimidated and everyone at the airport expressed shock and horror at such a brazen attempt to export a human being only seven months old without the mother . We thanked the officers who rescued us from a powerful family. We are always for peace , justice and equity. No one threatened the Adelekes with any expose unless they were using reverse psychology. Personally, I’ m not a junk writer and would never descend so low to abuse those permanently connected to us through an innocent baby . We love the baby like they do and such an innocent child deserves to be protected by both families . link: http://dasort.com/2015/12/31/why-i-got-involved-in-davido-and-sophies-babymama-drama-dele-momodu-explains-2/?utm_source=&utm_medium=facebook |
The introduction before this verse was on Jesus talking about John the Baptist. It's a verse that clearly talks about John the Baptist and the violent opposition faced as to the Kingdom matter. Remember, John the Baptist opposed the wrong act of Herod who married his brother's wife and because of this, it caused him his head. It was a violent attack against the Kingdom of God. |
This guy is just a noise maker whose exposure is just limited to the cattle rearing region where they just sit and relax with Kunu geda. A worse picture of this had happened in the USA where Kanye West was honoured with a degree. I guess the guy is just seeking cheap recognition and also desires the national cake which he might not have even in his dreams. |
hollandis:Did I just see illiterates there? You must definitely be one. You mean the likes of Fashola, Tinubu, Fayemi, Prof. Osibanjo etc. are illiterates? I think you must be high on something. GMB 2015 Change it is. |
We've read from the scripture of how God searches the heart and not our outward appearance and how our faithfulnes is a thing of the heart and not human's view. Over the years, series of messages have been given on how one need to make his/her heart right with God. So, biblically where is our heart? Is it the same as the actual heart that pumps blood or there is more to it? @Mod, kindly help make it a front page thing as I'm really interested in getting better views on this |
Take my heart and let me be |
People are quick to associate with the success of Unilag presently without much negative words but when it comes to other news being spread about Unilag we are quick to say products of the school are not sound, and all sort of talk like all they know how to do best is to play, party and have fun. Any day anytime, I'm always proud of the great feat this school has achieved. Thumbs up guys for this recognition brought to Nigeria. |
This statement that HND holders are good in practicals is just an overhyped statement. Who could boldly say they had serious practical -i.e field work on their course? All are just the past glory of the polytechnics we used to know. The lecturer are too busy that lectures itself is difficult atimes, not to now talk of Field work. Also, the university treat deeply what the polytechnic takes on the surface. I posted this after experiencing the two system, so I'm not just posting this to hat the other. The two were established for different purposes. |
Abeg make we no start to dey brag yet as we need to beg NFF and Keshi say make dem let the boys reach Brazil on time, make dem no begin dey blame jet lag for any result and that make dem no talk say boys still dey understand the game. |
fredx4: Lol please which church is that? I honestly didn't know being a virgin is part of the qualifications for heaven.Don't start this in order to gain cheap attention or support. Though Virginity is not the qualification to enter heaven but then, the Bible goes against going about sleeping with men/ladies. The Bible clearly instructs us to keep the bed undefiled. So, if the Bible says so, then pre-marital sex means going against the instruction of God which is a sin. However, I'm not in anyway castigating those who by mistake or one horrible circumstance lost their virginity as the mercy of God still speaks. I only want to correct this position of yours. |
Nuzo':I can assure you that Lecturers won't resume at all. Do you know the number of Lecturers they've sacked or intending to sack, we are not talking about 400 here. The Senate of FUTO is one clown on its own as how do they intend recruiting new lecturers, from Ghana abi na South Africa dem wan go? smh..... Nigeria with her senseless way of tackling critical issues. |
Donalð Genes: 42= x/100(60) qives you 42=60x/100Where your mates dey think of how to solve serious mathematical and technical problems, you dey here dey form James Bond on yeye calculation wey no add value to the strike. |
samtin: presido GEJ is the best man for naija.... he makes sure he exhaust all options needed for peaceful negotiations.. before plan B... SOE testifies.... ASUU is abt to go down... time to ban ASUU... retarded our lives bunch of old foolsI just laugh when I see post like this. So GEJ is the man and all that FG is doing is just? Please, rethink this stand of yours as ASUU is fighting for what is right, the facilities in the universities are nothing to talk about. Imagine, during my days in school, most of the equipment and machines in the Laboratory are probably the ones bought during the time the department was established, should I also tell you about overpopulated lecture rooms? or is it the fact that lecturers are not willing to give their best due to not being motivated money-wise, even those who are ready to give their best are discouraged when the things to be put in place for a comfortable lecture environment aren't there. Please, the government has failed woefully, masses are faced to suffer all the time while they enjoy. The FG is a total shame. Some students now run to Ghana and South Africa for studies simply because their system is far better than ours. Just of late I found out that in Ghana, that the Government are so passionate about the education system such that if the lecturers go on strike, within 2 weeks the govt. will try all best possible to resolve the strike. Honestly, the govt. of Nigeria is a total shame.....smh |
Boss13: if I were the president, I would sack all lecturers on strike and open up vacancies to interested lecturers. This time their contract will be renegotiated with bumper package.Na wa o... why nau? Did you type 'sack'? Sometimes I just laugh. Where do you think the new lecturers will come from? When I was still in school and adverts were placed in the dailies for lecturers in my department. Despite the status of my school (name witheld) and the attractive salary, not to talk of allowances, it was surprising that at the end of the recruitment exercise, only two were employed. Then my question was - what happens to the other positions not filled? Please, don't bring up that word - sack as the end result will be automatic collapse of the system. Presently, tt hasn't collapsed and we are bothered about brain drain in the system. See, let's find a lasting solution to the problem of the system rather than type with emotions. God bless Ghana (Yes!! God bless Ghana), could you believe their university system had to undergo reformation of a year sit-at-home? Now, what can you say about their universities? Which way naija?......smh |
engrfcuksmtin: Now we have a VC that want to stand against the high handedness of ASUU, He should open a register, anybody that refuses to resume should be issued query and subsequently be sacked. Placed adverts for vacancies and fill as many positions as possible especially the one's occupied by ASUU excos, so many lecturers will fall in line.Abeg park well joor.... You dey block road. Honestly, with all the recent adverts placed in papers by both federal and state universities, how many have been successful? The reason is most of the qualfied candidates are leaving the shores of Nigeria for comfort elsewhere while those that don't want to leave are now in our private universities, except if a lecturer wants to leave his current state or federal employment for a new offer which in this case can't be successful as the lecturers in question are under one body - ASUU. I'd advise that the V.C should be claim and wait till ASUU resolves her crisis. As all his effort might be fruitless. |
You are all very funny |
Yesterday, I was at Aso-Rock villa... ![]() |
I observed this of late, as some people love to put on wrist-watches that have stopped working. Nairalanders could you share your view or experience on this issue? Should we say wrist-watches make them complete, they see them as an one to be worn or what could be the reason? I remember trying to correct the time on my phone and I asked a lady what the time says but to my utmost surprise, she responded immediately by saying it has stopped working. |
This is no longer news as the two universities have decided to re-open school for academic activities to begin. So, students from these schools should share with us their resumption experience, academic activities on campus and the state of their schools after strike. Over to you, EBSU and AAUA students. |
A comprehensive expose on how elections are rigged in the country has been unveiled by one of the insiders in the political process and former Cross River State Governor, Mr. Donald Duke. Last Wednesday at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Duke gave a blow by blow account to a gathering of pro-democracy advocates, including the Save Nigeria Group (SNG), of the modus operandi of State Chief Executives and Resident Electoral Commissioners to thwart the mandate of the electorate, not just in states controlled by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but all the others. In his opinion, it is not just a question of replacing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, but getting a critical mass to come out to vote and ensuring that votes count. The Guardian today delivers excerpts of his extempore speech: “LET me start this way. Professor Maurice Iwu is truly an enigma; he enjoyed the limelight. He enjoyed all the attacks, thrown and meted at him, he remained undaunted. I think, he belongs to the school of thought that believes that bad publicity is better than no publicity. So, even though he was being attacked and scolded and all sorts of things were said about him, he didn’t shy away from even going to the United States and talking to Nigerians in the Diaspora about his work, he didn’t shy away from it. I was told he organized a rally to ensure that he will come back to do the work he was appointed to. Why do I call him an enigma? The truth is, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission has little or no bearing on the success of elections, that’s the truth. To me, it’s actually immaterial because he is head of the administration he takes the brunt. The best he can do is perhaps, draw up a blueprint but the implementation of that blueprint is outside his control. So, if elections are rigged in say -Taraba State- we don’t do that stuff in Cross Rivers State (laughter), Every one looks at Iwu and he proudly says we did this or that. Hogwash! Let me now take you through the process of an election. We have a hundred and twenty thousand booths in Nigeria. At the hierarchy, you have the Chairman of INEC, then you have the zonal Commissioners, then you have the Resident Electoral Commissioners and they are the heads in every state the zone as the name implies; we have six zones in Nigeria, so you have six of them. Then you have the Resident Electoral Commissioners and there are 36 of them of course, and Abuja. Then for each local government, you have an electoral officer. Beyond that you have a hundred and twenty thousand polling booths, headed by presiding officers. The people think that at the end of the elections, the PDP would just decide who wins and who doesn’t and announces the results. I think the process is a bit more sophisticated than that. This is what happens; the Resident Electoral Commissioner is usually from another state. The electoral officers, they move around. They are usually from that state, but for the conduct of elections itself, you would probably move from Cross River to Akwa Ibom or to Abia, but these musical chairs don’t mean nothing. When the Resident Electoral Commissioner comes before the elections are conducted- of course when he comes to the state, usually, he has no accommodation; monies have not been released for the running or conduct of the elections and all that because we always start late. He pays a courtesy call on the governor. It’s usually a televised event you know, and of course he says all the right things. ‘Your Excellency, I am here to ensure that we have free and fair elections and I will require your support.’ Now, at that courtesy call, most governors, at least I did, will invite the Commissioner of Police because he is part of the action and he sits there. After the courtesy call, the Resident Electoral Commissioner now moves in for a one-on-one with the governor the says, “Your Excellency, since I came, I’ve been staying in this hotel, there is no accommodation for me and even my vehicle is broken down and the last Commissioner didn’t leave the vehicle, so if you could help me settle down quickly;’ and the governor says, ‘Chief of Staff, where is the Chief of Staff here?’ And the Chief of Staff appears. Governor says: ‘Please ensure that the REC is accommodated–put him in the Presidential lodge, allot two cars to him, I give you seven days to get this done. Then the relationship has started; I am going to share some of these things with you so that we don’t leave here with any illusions. A lot of us, folks who have gone through an election or have been elected for one thing or another, see groups like Save Nigeria Group (SNG), the CLP as woolly-eye dreamers, you have to come down to the backsides, since I am now a hybrid between both. I want to bring you both down to backsides. Let me take you down to what happens so that you can change it because if you don’t change it, we here won’t suffer but I think of our children will. We the elite, I am one of them, we send our kids to the best schools around the World, when they come back they are misfits, they cannot fit in and so ultimately we are designing a system that would destroy us in the end. Let me take our minds back to Somalia. Somalia is mono-religious, mono- ethnic; they only have clans (but) they have one tribe. What has happened there? It’s a failed state because the elite in Somalia were so disconnected from the people that once they had some money, they buy houses in England, Washington and all those places; they were not investing, putting their best foot forward and I think that was what Pastor Bakare was talking about. If you want to be in a contest, you put your best foot forward; at the end of the day, there was such a disconnect that even till today, they cannot bridge it. Let me tell you, the last recognized President of Somalia is buried in Lagos- Siad Barre. We are multi-religious, multi-ethnic and multi- problematic. The reason why most people worry about us is if we explode, who will contain us? Let me also say this, I know what I am saying now is an aside, I will go back to the elections. When we conducted the census in 2006 or so, the raw figures said we were over two hundred million; when they went and processed the figures it came down to 140million. When you look at those figures and compare to those we had in 1991 at a growth rate of 2.1 or something like that, it is really just an extrapolation, because we were too embarrassed to admit our true numbers. If we get it wrong, we will fail like Somalia; in Somalia, half of them are in Kenya, Ethiopia, and a few are in Europe here and there; who will contain us in all of West Africa and Central Africa and for that it is imperative not just for ourselves but for the rest of the continent that we get it right. Now, back to the elections, once that relationship has been established between the governor and the REC, if you are a governor who is ‘A Governor’, maybe two nights after you just pop by at the governors lodge and see the REC and say ah, ‘ah REC how are you doing? Are you OK?’ He says, ‘ah! Your Chief of Staff has been wonderful. He has been very nice to me; he supplied me the vehicles and everything is Ok’. A few weeks to the elections, the REC sees the governor; you probably have on the average about three thousand five hundred, four thousand depending on the polling booths in every state. So, REC goes to the governor and says, ‘Your Excellency, could you please give us the names of about four, five thousand people so that we can hurriedly train them, we need them as Presiding Officers.’ You need experience. A good coach is one who has played and has lost matches in the past? The REC now goes down and says, ‘we need to conduct a training programme for the presiding officers and em, headquarters hasn’t sent us any money yet, you know.’ And the governor is like: ‘How much would that cost?’ REC replies: ‘N25million for the first batch, we may have about three batches.’ Governor: ‘Ok, the Chief of Staff will see you.’ Now, the Chief of Staff, you call him: ‘Make sure, that we arrange N25 million this week and in two weeks time another N25 million and Seventy-Five million in all.’ Chief of Staff: ‘Your Excellency, how do we do it?’ Governor: ‘Put it under Security Vote.’ In other words, its cash, ok, now, cash in huge Ghana Must Go bags – some of my colleagues will shoot me- (turns to the audience) is any former governor here? (Crowd replies no!) Good. Cash is lodged in huge Ghana Must Go Bags for the REC and of course, to be fair to them, they call their electoral officers and say the governor has been very benevolent; he has given us this and that. I say three batches because they have them in Senatorial districts. So, you have one in Calabar, you have One in Ikom and Ogoja, those are the headquarters of the Senatorial districts. Each one costs twenty-five million. Of course, the sums are not properly retired. I don’t know how much of this twenty-five million worked. But, there is a rapport this is going on. The governor now turns round and says: ‘call me the party chairman.’ The party chairman appears and the governor says: ‘INEC requires 50 thousand people for conducting the elections. See to it that we meet their needs.’ The chairman goes and you hear in the evening on radio and television: There will be an urgent meeting of all chairmen and secretaries of XYZ party at the headquarters. They should report promptly at 10am (because) matters of urgent interest will be discussed. End of announcement. Now we have texts messages, so its easier, in no time everyone is here. It’s a very short meeting, please go back and within 48 hours submit from each local government two hundred and fifty names of trusted party members. So in a week the deed is done. The names, sometimes even passport photographs if required are sent to INEC. And the training programme is carried out. Let me pause a bit, this is at party level. They are usually civil servants. They may be teachers, whatever, but they are party members. The remuneration, for each of them for the elections from Abuja is 10,000 Naira for the day’s work. But the state in its benevolence gives 50 to 100,000 Naira to each of these folks right before this election. This is even where it gets even more interesting. So, you have each of the three or four thousand polling booths; they are manned by party stalwarts. They are usually party stalwarts. You don’t send any peripheral member. The remuneration from Abuja has not arrived but that of the state was received 48 hours prior. On the day of elections, each polling booth has no more than five hundred ballot papers, that is standard. There is not a polling booth that is more than five hundred. So only two hundred people appear here, three hundred there, one hundred there, fifty there, four hundred there, at the end of election what happens. The Presiding Officer sits down and calls a few guys and says, ‘hey, there are a few hundred papers here, let’s thumbprint. This is the real election. Well, this is not a PDP thing. I am not here to castigate the PDP; it’s a Nigerian thing. This process may sound comical and jovial, it happens throughout the country, whether its Action Congress or APGA it’s the same thing. We are all the same. They start thumb-printing, some are overzealous. So at the end of the day you find some voting more than the number of people that were registered to vote. Other wise they do it, you have 95 percent turnout. You start wondering where were the voters, I didn’t see so many people. And the election results are announced; XYZ party wins and it takes a week for this paltry ten thousand Naira for each presiding officer to arrive. theoctopus: It is not the job of government to create jobs. Government's job is to create the enabling environment for companies to thrivePlease ,that's a wrong view you are trying to sell to all. The duty of our government is to both create an enabling environment fit for investors to operate in and also create jobs for the masses. The present situation faced by our country, Nigeria is one where our government shift responsiblities to private bodies, Nitel, Nepa, even water corporation (to an extent) are dead all thanks to our government which in a way has resulted to loss of job. My question is what then does the government stand to offer the masses? |
Please I urge us all to look at the Bible critically before posting anything. 1 John 5:7 says For there are three that bears record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. End of Discussion. |

How many of you feel this year's gulder ultimate search was aimed at favouring Ify, from Chidi to the background voice. If you notice the pre-final search - the search for the map, I believe there wasn't any form of fairness in it, as How do you determine that the two paths are of the same distance? It was a calculated way of evicting one of the guys, as if the race was on just one path with everyone conscious of the other, the three guys will qualify but with the way it was done, it only gives chance for one to the conscious of just the.other person. Anyway, before I begin to receive knocks it's just my view and besides there is no hatred or dislike for Ify as she really gave it.her best. Congratz Dennis Okike, the ultimate man. |
99/100:Sometimes you need to calm down in order not to allow emotions take control of your judgement. Honestly, if there was mass sacking as you stated what will become of the system, sanitised? I don't think so. Already, aren't we having brain drain in the system? Most of the lecturers are leaving the federal and state schools for the private while some have left Nigeria for other countries, all in the name of comfort and better pay. The system needs to be motivated. Shouldn't you ask yourself why lecturers keep on going on strike? Shouldn't you ask why the government waited till the lecturers embarked on strike? Shouldn't you ask why our universities are no where to be found in the world ranking despite products of the system doing fine internationally? Shouldn't you ask why corruption is exalted in this nation while sanity is thrown in the dust bin? I should go on and on but let me remind you our government can't be trusted any longer. It's so sad seeing ASUU as the victim and our insincere government as the just one. I still don't know what waits us in the future, if we can't get little things right, now. |
