40pakks:You're lucky they refunded you. If it's Lagos here, otilo |
Never give up on your dreams folks. This man's story is a serious motivation for young people. |
Buharidgeneral:It's there I've uploaded it. Refresh your browser. |
Annahh:True Sha. Nigeria is screwed. |
YourKarma:The north wouldn't protest because Tinubu was elected on a Muslim/Muslim ticket. |
Annahh:If the manager in question was in the grade that earns 1.7m per month, believe me, he wouldn't have left Nigeria. |
40pakks:My brother this is what I noticed when I bought my own rice 25kg. The rice was looking far smaller than usual and the bag was resealed. Look at the sealing, if it was done more than once, it means your rice was reduced. The problem with my own was that I told someone to buy it for me. And I really trust the person and know he won't do something like that. So it's definitely from the dealers. They would open the rice, take out some de Rica cups and reseal it back. The cups they've taken would be used to form another bag. Nigerians are seriously greedy. I haven't even opened the bag yet and it's already looking like half. See the pic below.

Mexyz:Since you've called me the ignorant one, why not tell me how much they earn? You rush to say something and end up saying nothing. You should do your research and come back to reply me if any bank in Nigeria pays their BM up to N1m. |
It still surprises me why Nigerians haven't hit the streets to protest against this criminal administration. Things weren't this bad in 2012 when Tinubu and his cronies hit the streets. Today, many families can't even feed. Yet we're going about our daily activities as if nothing is happening. |
This rat is what you're referring to as huge animal? Weldon. ![]() |
The question you should be asking is how much does a bank manager earn in Nigeria? If you must know, no bank in Nigeria pays their branch managers up to N1m. On an average, they earn between 500-600k. (That's about $600 not pounds o) A skyscraper window cleaner in the UK earns about £23,000. With that amount, you can live comfortably in the UK. Aside the risks involved in the job, I won't say he made a bad choice. |
Are there not driving schools in your location? Using a GLK to learn isn't the problem. The problem is can you control it? There's a reason why driving schools use jalopy cars to train their students. Jalopy cars are slower and easier to control. That GLK you're talking about can reach speeds of up 80km/h within seconds of stepping on the accelerator. Can you control such acceleration as a leaner without running into another car or hitting passers by? Another problem why I wouldn't recommend that you use it is that most trainee drivers usually mistake the accelerator for brakes. Whenever they're told by their instructor to apply the brakes, some would step on the accelerator. Imagine stepping on the accelerator of a GLK instead of the brakes, and a car is in front of you. You'd ruin your headlamps, and the entire front of the car including the car in front of you. That's a debt I know you wouldn't want to plunge yourself into this period. |
D4gmail1:Truth is so many Nigerians are careless. Imagine loosing your passport twice under the space of one year. That alone tells how unserious he was with life. |
Biko when would they start landing in Abakaliki. Dave spent billions constructing that airport, it would be a shame if no single airline offers flights to that route. |
I learnt that Investing in yourself isn't selfish even though people might call you selfish. But it's the best gift you can ever give to yourself with zero regard for others. |

Not every apology is from the heart. Sometimes people apologize because you're the only option they have at the moment, and not because they regretted their actions. Keep providing for your sons but be very careful about accepting her back. |
I've been driving in Lagos for years and police has never harassed me. Ordinarily, they would stop you for routine checks, the thing is if you cannot identity yourself properly, or your dressing is like that of all these Yahoo boys, that when they'll start harassing you. So make sure that your car documents are up to date, and try to look smart and cooperate always. And if by chance they stop you, speak fluent English, greet them and ask them how's work. They'll just conclude that you're an office person and wouldn't waste your time. About the kind of car you should buy, go for any car you can afford to maintain. |
Beremx:For real...I saw Derica last when I was a child. I doubt it's still sold in Nigerians markets. |
reddingtonblack:Anything from 30 years and above over there is referred to as vintage. People pay heavily to acquire them. |
onlinediva:I agree with you. Indeed no car brand is bad. The major reason why people keep having issues with their cars is because the average Nigerian buys a car which is 10 years and above. Imagine driving Camry big daddy of 2005 in 2023. Or Toyota Highlander of 2002 That's 18 - 21 years after manufacture date. The mileage would be extremely high, mechanic would have touch touch the motor taya. It might have gear box issue, oil leakages, shock problem...etc. Then you now talk about our bad roads, and quack mechanics. This is why it looks as if some brand of cars are bad. Or imagine someone driving Honda EOD or baby boy in 2023 and complaining of leg problems, isn't that ridiculous? I doubt if people in civilized countries buy cars that old. Not when they have access to credit facilities which they can use to get newer models. In Nigeria here, you'll buy whatever your money can afford. |
I'm so sorry about the loss of your father... To your question, it's sheer stupidity for you to use funds you plan on using to set yourself up for a burial. Your dad is gone, the best you can do is to move on with your life. Even if you spend a billion dollars on his burial, it won't bring him back. So plunging yourself into poverty in this economy because of burial isn't a step in the right direction. You're 27 and have a great future ahead of you. Contribute whatever you can afford and use the rest for your phone repair business and school. Nigeria isn't funny these days. The same family you want to gamble your future for wouldn't contribute a dime for you to set up that business if you divert the funds you've raised for it. So you might end up not starting the business, and unable to go back to school. Is that what you want for yourself? |
Hezzyluv:When I posted that I bought live chicken for 14k, some people who haven't bought chicken in the last 10 years came for my head. The problem with Nigerians on Nairaland is that a vast majority of them are still dependent on their parents. This is why they argue and talk carelessly. If you have any idea of the cost of food stuffs out there, you would panic. |
That's an AI image. It's not real. |
folake4u:You |
Angelfrost:See eh! ManUtd have taya me. These days I just watch their game and wish them luck. I don't want to suffer HBP on top their mata. Whatever the board chooses to do, na dem Sabi. If they decide to keep ETH and Onana, fine, whatever results we get on the pitch, we'll manage it. I can't come and go and kill myself. |
folake4u:I'm not defending his abilities either. All my post after every ManUtd game is mainly about how incompetent he is.. If we had a good goalie, we would have been among top 4 on the league. |
folake4u:@bolded. De play, Onana na fine boy, I can bet my broken hand fan say if he chyke you - you go gree. 😏 |
