I am Just going to drop this here.

The developed countries always look for a way out of difficult situations; from food with green houses and genetically modified foods due to their seasons and the threat of Frost for the better part of the year to Home heaters to save them from the chills. These countries do not have crude oil and as such have enriched the oil rich African/Arab nations over the past years due to their dependent on our black Gold and what have we given them in return? Terrorism, Heightened Corruption and no recourse to develop our own countries because we have black Gold and the developed countries will pay us for it.

These countries in the late 90's and early millennial started to think in the line of bio-diesel and made engines from VW, Mercedes and a host of other reputable car companies running on 100% bio-diesel and variants that used 20%, 5% and the likes, but again they realised that in the long run they would enrich Africa and they would have to source the Jatropha, Moringa and Cassava form Africa. So they came up with the excuse that bio diesel was competing with edible food and due to their limited agricultural abilities they placed less emphasis on these engines.

Now they know that even the best countries in Africa; the likes of Kenya and South Africa still have power cuts and they probably have not power cuts in the last 50+ years, Electric is the way to go. This would save them the Billions of Dollars that would have gone to oil producing African countries and OPEC nations; Yes they solved their problem.

Instead of following them to this electric race where we would play catch up as we have played in the last 2 centuries; can we solve our problems for once? China is proof that a nation can only overtake by solving its problems. In my opinion we have all it takes, while I am not saying we should not solve our electricity problems, what we can do is use what we have ...990,000 sq kilometres of fertile land, all year round sunshine , Crude oil and a huge population; We can build our bio-diesel engines (the technology is existent), improve their electric car to carry hybrid solar panels as roofs and a host of other things. People we have the chance lets use it to our advantage.

Bros, you have spoken so well, the problem remains in capacity! The once who have the funds are busy piling it for their great grand children, while some are busy wasting it away in the clubs and with women!

We really need to move this country forward! these old men at the helm of affiars have all lost touch of the current realities.

We the youth really need to stand up, and send all these old thiving men and women back to the village. We need brains that can think 20 to 50 years away from now !!

Just like you, we need to solve our problems.

The time of electric cars Is still over a century away. A single charge can't even go from Lagos to abuja (around 700km) and @ 11 million, most people in the world won't afford it.
Oil will still be here for a very long time.

Can a full tank take you from Here (Lagos) to Abuja ?

I can't wait till tomorrow comes!

The big question is: what is Nigeria doing or planning to mitigate the shock of this innovation on her economy and as well key in to make it useful in Nigeria?
A very powerful question.....

Instead the thieving politicians we have, are busy stacking raw cash for themselves and children unborn. No critical thinking of what tomorrow will bring forth, no road map, nothing ..... tongue

The worst of it all is that gullible citizens especially we the youths worship these animals calling themselves politicians.

Abi now. The so-called leaders are united in siphoning our resources, while at the same time keeping us (the masses) busy with inter-religious war, inter-tribal wars, etc.

I know one day, the Nigerian (youths most especially) will come out of their drunkenness and awake from their slumbers to fight for their rights.

My brother, you couldn't have said it any better. These people have so rubbished our sensibility that I often ask myself, if I am the foolish one?

How will these criminals unite in ensuring that all monies for development are shared amongst them! While we ( the masses) bother ourselves with herdsmen, Christians, Muslims, Igbos , afonja, etc . When will the scale fall off our eyes ( the Nigerian people )so we can unianimously fight our common enemy ?

We can blame our leaders all we want, we are also part of the reasons our beloved Naira is declining.

=>Let's reduce our dependence on imported goods and buy more of locally made goods

=>Let's do more to fight corruption at all levels

=>Let's speak and act in one voice by voting out corrupt political office holders (they are directly behind the Naira decline - with their massive foreign investments)

The list goes on and on

IF WE BELIEVE WE CAN, WE WILL wink

Legalise illegal refineries

#legaliseiilegalrefineries

The high cost of PMS is as a result of the umavailability and high cost of procuring the US dollars. As long as we are still an importing country with little or no product to export, this situation will continue till eternity.A good way of making petrol available at a cheap price is to refine locally. All our refineries are not working to capacity as at present. The private refineries granted licence have not started working.A short term solution is to legalise all the so called illegal refineries. The more they are, the more availabilty of fuel.Government should also regulate and monitor the quality of their products. In the end, more jobs, more cheap fuel will be our gain.

I have kept hammering on this so called illegal refiners! Government should license and monitor them. This will sure have a big impact in the short-run, while they (Govenrment) fix the bigger issues on sustenance of our refineries.

These pictures, as shown below, is a huge crowd waiting to buy PMS at Oando filling station Lawanson, Surulere, Lagos. This has continued like this for more than a week, where the pump attendants will prefer to sell for the black market operators (who resale just in front of the station at #200 per liter!) at the expense of vehicles and those that need the product to power their generating sets!

My question is will the pump attendant(s) the moral standing to say the officials representing (their pockets) us inside the government are corrupt ?

After reading what Thisday Newspaper reported on plans by some members of the PDP and APC to form another political party, i was shocked and perplexed, not for the fact that these shameless politicians want to regroup and pull a fast one on us just like APC did to us all, but for the fact that we the Nigerian youths, whom we have been giving the title of ''Leaders of Tomorrow'' will just sit and look at these greedy politicians mortgage our future for their selfish gains.

You and I know that an average nigerian politician has nothing to offer, just plain Lies and more lies..

it is on this premise that i suggest we the Nigerian Youths should rise up, through whatever means possible and say ''No'' to recycled old politicians who have nothing to offer aside lies and wanton corruption of our common wealth, and lets form a political party, against 2019.

lets take our destiny into our hands....... this said political party will be strictly for youths of 40 yrs and bellow. lets give these old politicians a run for their money come 2019..

enough of one chance goverment and politicians, its time we take the bull by the horn, its time we take the fight to them (albeit these old politicians). its time for a political rebirth...

Nigerian youths lets arise and take our destiny into our hands.......

2019 we should have a youth as president and the Legislature should be entirely made up of youths. lets send these old, greedy politicians packing............

ps: pls pardon my incoherrent writing, am not a writer. i just feel i shld share my thoughts. hope am on point
