Gollywood? What a name! |
What building is that below the Aka Nung Udoe Road? |
Odunnu: My neigbour adopted a child at birth and she's 17yrs now, she knows she's an adopted child and everytime her mother corrects, disiplines or rebukes her, she packs a bag and says she's going to look for her real parents and this hurts me, how much more the mother.I know of a girl who had no clue initially that she was adopted until years later which created tension between her and her adopted mother. If the adopted mother disciplined her, she would attribute it to her being an adoptee. From what I heard, she threatened to run away and the mother burnt her clothes in retaliation. The last I heard, the woman and her adopted mother had severed contact. |
supaeagles: If the the father of the two sons is a millionaire / billionaire then .... yes.... you kuma should even find the third brother to marryFunny ![]() |
pickabeau1: How then is whitneys daughter sleeping with her adopted brotherWhitney did not formally adopt that boy, so they could, if they want to get married, without contravening the laws of the society. |
Kingsley Osemwengie fell into the fast-lane trappings of Las Vegas, scoring big as a kingpin of a coast-to-coast crime ring that sold pain pills in a dozen states. His was a jetsetting life of call girls and drug couriers, Bentleys and bling. But Monday, the 27-year-old defendant shuffled out of a Portland courtroom in cuffs and leg chains, headed for a long stretch in prison. Behind him, his anguished mother, who had begged Senior U.S. District Judge Ancer L. Haggerty to show her son mercy, sobbed loudly. . . http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2013/04/post_321.html |
Morally wrong, legally wrong. If the adoption is legal, then legally, she cant be married into the family. pickabeau1: Morally wrong,.. Legally right |
Trust in God's Grace not in your works. Don't use His Grace as a license to sin. We all need His Grace to overcome all trials and temptations. May God help us in Jesus Name, Amen. |
Honestly, I was asking myself this question today if there is any country that a Nigerian citizen hasn't married into |
Great observation! |
Miscarriages, infant mortality. But another answer is fertility. |
We are talking about cities in west africa. dasparrow: @Post |
From what I used to hear, Abidjan was the most cosmopolitan city in West Africa. Dunno about now. |
Read about Idris Elba's reaction when he found out that his ex-girlfriend's child was not actually his son as he thought after telling people that he had fathered him. DNA proved him wrong. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/507707/20130920/idris-elba-reveals-desiree-newberry-paternity-test.htm |
For me, I wouldnt! |
And I am asking, what if it was from rape? |
JayCee2010: Many people will admit that at some point in their lives, they've seen people involved in road traffic accidents, bleeding by the road side, trapped in mangled or burning vehicles, or sometimes sitting on the floor calling out for help.Have you ever helped someone in a car accident? |
Reason why I am asking is that I heard rumors about a famous rapper with that of his wife for their daughter. Another instance is one of my co-workers who told me he would gladly give up his last name and adopt another name for his children. And when I asked him if is father wouldn't be mad at him, he simply said that he doesn't care about it. Third time was a guy I know of who told me his girlfriend suggested that since she had no brothers, she would like their children to bear her last name. |
Let me give you this scenario, you are the youngest of five brothers. All your brothers are married with kids of both genders. You happen to get engaged to a lady who is an only child of her parents. And they ask you for a favor if you would gladly give one of your kids their last name so that it wont be lost. What do you do? Acquiesce to their request or stick with tradition? |
Absolutely, there is a remarkable difference between studying in Nigeria and abroad. |
Interesting! |
How She Left ‘Happiness, Like Water,’ by Chinelo Okparanta By LIGAYA MISHAN Published: September 13, 2013 The stories in Chinelo Okparanta’s first collection are quiet, often unnervingly so, in the manner of a stifled shriek. Hints of menace — a reference to a robbery, an illness, a drop of blood on peeling linoleum — are delivered blandly, matter-of-factly, as if resisting the urge to dramatize were a kind of survival mechanism. This is deceptive, for the plots in “Happiness, Like Water” are heated where the prose is not. A woman waits with a gun pointed at her head as a thief commands her husband to hand over his beloved Peugeot, suddenly aware that the car is worth more to her husband than her life; a spinster plans to murder a pregnant friend and steal her unborn child; a virginal college student, desperate to send her ailing mother to a private hospital, agrees to go out with a rich “patron,” deluding herself that all he wants is a pretty date who can “discuss budget and political issues. . . http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/15/books/review/happiness-like-water-by-chinelo-okparanta.html?_r=0 |
you certainly cant blame the girl if the pregnancy was from rape. |
Please does anybody know what a totem means and the role is plays in the society? |
wales: I am all alone in oakland, do you know any Nigeria around oakland? for i have not met any since i came around.Visit Miliki, a Nigerian Restaurant on MacArthur Blvd in Oakland. I go there sometimes. |
While colleges are raking in millions of dollars by exploiting college athletes, these athletes are on the receiving end, only receiving scholarships (and perhaps free board and lodging) to compensate for their hard work and ethics. Some could be sidelined, thus ending a promising dream of being a professional athlete. The argument one might bring up is that colleges are a stepping board to being drafted into the NFL or NBA, so these athletes shouldnt complain, rather, they should appreciate the fact that these colleges have given them exposure of being drafted which would have been impossible if they did not attend college. But I disagree, this scenario is a reflection of the adage, "Monkey dey work, baboon dey chop." What do you think? I am of the view that it's only college athletes should be paid for their sweat. |
When in Rome, act as the Romans (provided it's a good culture) Wearing as kilt is a normal attire in Scotland, so for those who are condemning the Naija guy for donning one, I have to ask, would you be so mad if an oyibo refuses to wear our native wear on grounds that it is not a white outfit? Broaden your views please! |
Very adorable baby, babies are so cute. Cheers |
ujoinme: Domingo specialist hospital UyoI am glad that Domingo has rebounded to build this nice hospital. He is the former proprietor or co-owner of Emmacom funeral home. |
WAEC sometimes does that, as I heard, witholding people's results. Why? Because of suspicions that your scores were extraordinarily high? Please . . ., what are brainy students supposed to do, try and 'mess' up a bit so they wont risk having their results forfeited? |
I think it's just a joke. |
Ndipe: Charcoal is good for the teeth, but I agree with you, the limitation with using chewing stick is how to clean the tongue. Some people use the fronds from palm wine trees to clean their tongues. |
