naptu2: O! I forgot to add, your point about Falae. Now you've brought me back to my first post. He wasn't talking about inheriting a position (like minister, etc) he was talking about inheriting a structure and an ideology.Very interesting. Would you care to shed light on what specific political structure Falae Sr wanted to pass on to his son, and why his son is the most competent person in the whole state who is capable of carrying the torch? This idea of inheriting a political structure which was probably built by the people's resources smacks of nepotism on its surface. |
nku5: No vex I genuinely want to understand your viewpoint on a minority group like the Ogonis as regards the national conference. Who should represent them and howNo problem, my brother. The Ogonis should choose their own representatives, unfortunately, that's not going to happen because the same leaders who have been screwing them up for decades will decide who will represent them. This currently planned national confab is a sham my brother. |
0lumide: Wow!!!! Stop talking like a loon bruv.Story story. You people are not interested in any national dialogue, the only thing many of you want to discuss is how to break this great nation up. I'd suggest that you start by making this admission. I do feel sorry for you because that particular topic is off the table. Deal with it. |
nku5: So a tribe with 100,000 ppl does not have rights? Not correct, politically or morallyCan you people read at all? Everyone has a right to participate - that is not the issue raised! geez |
0lumide: Does the Ogoni people deserve to have a say on how they want to be in Nigeria or not? If your answer is yes then Ten million Hausa men shouldn't try to stop 4000 Ogoni people from deciding how they want be in Nigeria.Stop pretending to be a dummy, everyone should have a say! We are talking about representation here and not about stiffling anyone. Lets hope people like you are not planning to introduce dishonesty and forget about fairness in representation, even before the conference starts. |
You people are being dishonest. Do you really expect a tribe which may number in the 100s of thousands to have the same representation as one which numbers in the millions? Equal representation ko, equal reparations ni. mumus |
The insensitivity which some people find to be alarming is probably a natural reaction which should not be alarming. What is alarming and insensitive is for those who enjoy freedom, to express shock when slaves who have been in bondage for over 50 years express ill will towards thier masters - so to speak. |
Multi coloured corns are found acrosss Northern Nigeria so I don't know why people are so shocked. I've seen and eaten them, but I'aint eating any genetically engineered crap. |
Vanity of vanities, all is vanity. Vanity ni ile aiye. |
CAMEROONPRIDE: stop peddling lies here, the above post doesn't even make sense, if S.Cameroon was part of Nigeria there would b no need for a referendum or plebiscite, s.Cameroon was a territory under british tutelage/ protectorate which was mandated by the scdn after Germany was defeated . It has never been a part of Nigeria. It was managed from Nigeria due to the proximity and the laziness of BritishCFCfan is right. I suspect that you are getting your 'facts' from the lies posted in wikipedia which can be edited by anyone. Please site an alternative source for what you stated above. The political party mentioned by CFCfan existed without a doubt. |
[quote author=Dudu_Negro]Ndu Chucks let me know if you want mod, im favored to win but ill step down for ya, only cause you my brother. Now, you put that in ya pocket! ![]() Remember, this is Negro. Despite the efforts by the moderators of this section to return sanity, patrols have resorted to registering multiple userids to circumvent bans, and to hide participate in bigotry. The result is the hijacking of politics section by riffraffs, bigots, and childish/ignorant kids. The Admin has been kind enough to implement a "Deactivate" account feature which enables offenders to deactivate such accounts. Lets use this thread to come clean. List all your IDs which have been deactivated and post the only one you'll use. I'd recommend that in say, 2 weeks, the supermods should provide the moderators of this section with IDs which access this site via the same IP address. 99% of those IDs will be owned by the same person. With this tool, the mods can do the rest. I'd start, but I've never posed in the politics section with any other ID but ndu_chucks. Lets hee how brave you folks are. If the mods would think outside the box momentarily, they'd sticky this thread for a few days. |
Oga OP. Nna, go and enroll in a seminary and form your own Church upon graduation. With your Philosophy background, you will be able to handle your flock with ease. You would write very interesting books, deliver great sermons. Think jet owning pastors, but not their corrupt ways! |
berem: you're absolutely right! But the bigots have been around in the good old days. They just waited for the right time to expose their idiocy which they successfully did by using their alternate monikers. That's a great point. Its high time that the supermods contributed to cleansing this section by exposing those who use multiple IDs for the sole purpose supporting their bigotry. There may be borderline 'legitimate' reasons for a second ID, such as when a person's true identity is known under one userid but s/he need the anonimity to participate in say, the heated politics section, or when a banned person logs in under a second ID to post in the complaints section. Anyone else who posts in this section under multiple IDs should be IP banned if the purpose of the multiple IDs is to cause trouble and promote bigotry. @ _Negro!!!!! where have you been hiding? How bodi ![]() If PointB for example is really Tahaqa2, that boy should be sent to the village like only ![]() |
naptu2: The naiiraland political crisis refers to the events that occurred when Adesegun Musiwa (aka Becomrich) was elected "Nairaland Politics Section Poster of The Year" in 2009.Those were the good ol' days before the politics section was infested with shameless bigots, political jobbers, and ignorant kids. |
100% resource control is long overdue. One assumes here that most people understand that offshore resources MUST remain under the control of the Feds since ALL Nigerians have 100% claim to those resources. |
taharqa: Oh! That's nice. A way to rememba him, right??A simple admission of screwing up would have been enough. You must be the only |
I must confess that I have never seen this kind of overwhelming displeasure with any moderator in my 3-4 year of regularly visiting the politics section. The moderator in question should show some humility by making positive adjustments which would make him an even more effective moderator. As for the whiners, e don do, your points have been made. Make una go get a life. Mumus |
Mr president perceives that corruption is not the main problem in Nigeria. dolo |
Afam4eva: I never signed a gentlemanly agreement not to contest in 2015 - JonathanThe man na real mumu, when gentlemen enter into agreements, they do so on their honour and handshake. Did you sir, enter into a gentleman's agreement sealed by your words and handshake? |
Mr. President is quite right. When a problem is not addressed at its infancy, it becomes a cancer that becomes difficult to deal with; we must therefore conclude that Mr President himself should leave office as soon as posible (2015 latest) lest his ineptitude becomes a cancer which will eat the whole country alive. mumu, are you or are you not running in 2015?? |
Demdem: Who is semid?is that the name given to that virus that hides posts and ban for hours.ibu onye JJC? ![]() semid4lyfe is one of the supermods na. |
Unfortunately, Danjuma's candidacy in any shape or form, is dead on arrival, just as Atiku's candidacy as the so-called concensus candidate, was dead on arrival. These old fools need to retire ASAP, they are all barawos. Buhari is the only remaining credible person among the elites of their generation. abeg, make person hear word. Lets hope IBB himself remembers how we stoned him in Zaria a few years ago. SMH |
Greetings. I have hitherto hesitated to visit this beer parlor for many reasons, some of which include my opposition to public intoxication and the presence of scantilty clad babes in such premises. In my world burka is quite sexy. After agonizing for several weeks, I've decided to come in and ensure that this bar is clean in every sense of the word. May I then, humbly request that all babes in the bar, line up for inspection, sharp sharp? There is a pressing need for me to certify that the skirts are of the correct lengths, the boobs are not too exposed (this will require close inspection), and the pants do not suggest the outline of their units (so to speak) in a manner which could affect blood flow in certain areas of men's anatomy . In the meantime, where is that popular Lertee, and Berem to help me with a drink? |
Kamanda: "We young Nigerians need to understand that the initial coup wasn't an Igbo coup per say but a Nigerian coup as all tribes actively participated in the coup".That is the senseless idea we are supposed to believe as historical truth. Unfortunately, those promoting these lies are still paying for it, even after 50 years, because they refuse to simply admit wrongdoing, offer an unreserved apology and a genuine hand in friendship and brotherhood. Sir Ahmadu Bello and Balewa's ghosts are still haunting them 'till today. |
Sadly, the group of people who wiull lead any SNC, if constituted in the next few years, come from the same generation which has brought is to the current sad state of Nigeria. We need to wait until providence gets rid of these people naturally or until our own Sergeant Doe arrives on the scene, to do the necessary do. Heck no to SNC, for now. |
sheyie2007: We could use jakumo's comment on this matter nowI believe Jacumo is busy working on Musiwa's speech - he is honoured to be the speech writer for Musiwa on this great ocassion. Unfortunately, Jakumo is delayed slightly because of this story first published by Punch, a news organization which follows NL events passionately: The Punch Story |
