I don't believe many of those nominating people and most of those folks nominated have any vested interest in anything Arewa. Our people talk say "a dade a nayi sai gaskiya, karka fure take bata yaya" na him be say, truth lasts longer than falsshood. Nuff said |

manny4life: (1) If you don't want to be represented by the thieving leaders, select men of integrity to represent your region. You are obviously delusional, out of touch, and possibly live abroad. GEJ, and the chief players and organizers of this SNC prefer the status quo to your idealistic 5 or more nations which you wish would come out of the said SNC. GEJ is attempting to use the "threat" of SNC to fight his way back to Aso rock in 2015. I'm surprised that people like you, who purport to be intelligent do not understand that there is no sincerity in this call for SNC, i.e. if it is true at all. For the losers who are hoping to carve out their "countries" through a SNC, you have my pity. Only an act of war can get you that, provided you win the said war. Foolish Nigerians who cannot participate in the on going democratic process of constitutional review (only a handful of them showed up in public hearings held across the country), are now calling for an illegal SNC. As I said only delusional people believe that any SNC will take place any time soon. |
My problems with the said SNC: (1) We will be represented by the same thieving 'leaders' who we should be getting rid of. (2) GEJ's timing is not only suspicious but outright dumb (3) Separation must be off the table for it to be supported by more than 50% of the nation (4) Whatever its outcome - implementation will depend on NASS's action, else it becomes an unconstitutional effort in futility. For me, nothing short of Sergent Doe type of prescription or a Buhari presidency, will save our nation. |
A Somalia-based terrorist group, Al-Shabab, has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack. Let me express my disappointment in whoever started this thread with the topic "Kenya Mall Attack From Islamic Terrorists". There is nothing Islamic, Jewish, Buddhist or Christian about terrorism. The common criminal terrorists of the middle east, the USA, or MEND, are simply terrorists, period. Why qualify this criminal act by labeling it Islamic? You people should condemn and stop this blatant bigotry. It is even more shocking that this made the front page without proper vetting of the title. SMH |
You people should calm down, after all English is not her first language. I have seen many leaders address the UN in their native tongues and the audience had the language translating gadgets to auto translate. Besides they had hard copies of the translated speech before hand. Sodia4, Dame Patience can read her speech in Ibo and all will be well. I suspect, however, that she is stubborn enough to insist on delivering the speech in English. I will not be found outside the shores of Nigeria for at least 4 weeks after the speech to ward off any subliminal embarrassment. ![]() |
Gorrbachev: The federal government of Nigeria Issued an extra ordinary global travel warning to Nigerians about the dangers of travelling to the United states. The alert is the first of its kind in Nigerian history as the United States of America was deemed unsafe after careful analysis of events as they unfold by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence.Given the spokesman's name in bold text above, one can only conclude say de man na real wazobia. ![]() |
Trash reporting. If Tinubu is a wanted man, he would have been arrested when he attended the democratic convention sometime ago. Atiku on the other hand, cannot enter the US without being arrested. Buhari is the only clean one among our elite's elite. He was the only one of our top leaders invited to a US Presidential inauguration ceremony. |
Many of the posts on this thread reveal that many people remain quite ignorant despite the availability of free educational material. Having lived in both the USA and Nigeria for many years, I can say the following with great credibility: 1. It is better to be a poor man in the USA because of safety nets in place. 2. It is better be in the middle class in Nigeria than in the USA. Nigerians in the middle class in the USA are typically comfortable but most of their earnings go to mortgage, car, and other living expenses. Many are knee deep in credit card debts and are unable to raise enough funds to return home, for obvious reasons, hence their frustration with anything Nigerian. They are the chief critics of Nigeria and make up the internet warriors we see here on NL. 3. If you are fortunate and bright enough to make it to upper middle class or upper class in either country, it wouldn't really matter whether you are in Naija or US. |
Ishilove: Musiwa, your voice reminds me of the great Zik of Africa and Martin Luther King. I am awed, o great one...I was also able to get through after several attempts. All I can say is that Musiwa is very authentic. I was surprised by his intelligence and discovered that he actually believes what he posts on NL This guy is either crazy like a fox or is simply unbelievably funny. His style of writing does not jive with his spoken words. If this guy ever aquires millions of dollars from his Canada base, I believe he'll actually try to 'free' his people. |
Why did u hang up on me na? ![]() |
Wow!! RIP. What a shock, I met the man in Texas!!! Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji-un - Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return |

kingbang: Senseless post! Prove to us that he was not informed and why he must take that route leading to the sealed new secretariat while he had other routes to chose from?. It's obvious this is a stunt by Amaechi to garner the sympathy of timid and gullible folks like you. For God's sake a face off between Wike's men and Amaechi's men was averted by a smart and unbiased CP and you all should commend him. You must not play politics with everything. You have to admit that Amaechi has a right yo take whatever route he wishes to get to anywhere. Is it so difficult to allow the Governor through? He is the No. 1 citizen of the state, for goodness sake. mumu |
Most of the posters here are not truth seekers. GEJ supporters like PointB and Tarharqa2 are explaining away what happened and offering sycophantic utterances to support their claims. The truth of the matter is that Amaechi was not informed of the said road block. Secondly if the road block was a security measure to protect the governor, why didn't the police just let the Governor in and continue their road block after he has entered the premises? People like PointB and Tarharqa2 are the reasons why dullards rule this country. SMH |
No need to celebrate Oprah. The eediot is a Nigerian hater. All her shows about Nigeria portray us in very negative light. Ever wonder why she can't pay Nigeria a visit? |
Folks should reread this thread along with our hero, 13volt's thread for enlightenment. |
I dey laugh o. |
This news report is false and Kwankwaso's statement is being taken out of contest. What he said was that, if the talks fail, they could be forced to join another party. When asked whether they would consider joining APC, he replied that they would consider any party where their interests woulld be best served including APC. These journalists are misinforming the public and unnecessarily heating up the polity. |
Eeeyaaaa, GEJ is like a toddler, trying to play chess with expert chess players and whose coaches and advisers are incompetent, consumed by selfishness, and are thieves to boot. This league is too big for poor GEJ. He should simply give up this 2015 ambition - I truly do not believe that GEJ is interested in another term but his handlers are the ones who are not ready to exit the gravy train. Sir, Mr. President, go and enjoy your retirement in peace. You only have one life to live. |
Ngwakwe: If GEJ is defeated in a free and fair election, so be it.Ask yourself why GEJ is willing to destroy his own party if that will allow him to avoid a free and fair primaries election contest? It appears that not only does Emperor have no clothes, but folks like you continue to be blind and are unable to see his yansh in full glare. |
So Fashola understands that it is unlawful to wrongfully arrest Nigerian citizens - it is even more admirable that the good governor calls for a lawsuit against NSCDC. Now, Mr. Fashola, where were your senses when you did the same thing you accuse NSCDC of doing, and even went beyond wrongful arrest by topping your criminality with deportation? |
Pinky111: Hey! Shut the crap and learn. It's hightime you understood that the chaos and boko haram insurgencies are being ignited by the northeners, all in a desperate bid to distract GEJ, pull him down and turn him into a political underdog. Shine your eyes.May I suggest that you read up on Azzazi's take on Boko Haram before exposing your ignorance and spewing rubbish? We all agree that the former NSA was one of the most informed Nigerians on the BH issue. |
I opened this thread looking for objective analysis of things. But no, it is my tribe this, my tribe that. Op, you talk about honoring agreement, and someone mentioned Aburi Accor but you were quick to wave it aside and further told the person to move on because it happened 50years ago. But you forgot that the said 'gentle man agreement' happened 14years ago. Why not also move on. I may not like GEJ very much, (and may even have supported Buhari in the past, not anymore) but mention any other credible person who you want to be President come 2015 and we shall analyze him or her. Please stop playing the ethnic card Ndu-Chuks.
If you were bright enough, you would have figured out that I never stated anywhere what my position on the agreement is. My point is that, the violation of this agreement by GEJ has had far reaching impact on the state of the country. I maintain that GEJ is unfit to rule a great country such as ours. |
