Politics › Re: APGA Disqualifies Soludo by nduchucks: 7:56am On Aug 17, 2013
Bliss4Lyfe: APGA at present have no business with Alhaji. It is an Igbo Party for Igbo people.

Wen it matures for National Politics, it will extend olive. A child must crawl before walking.

If Alhaji is complacent then his days in APGA are numbered.

He will be dispensed.
I'm sorry to say that it is mindsets as yours which continue to keep you people down and irrelevant in national politics. Where were your cries when Alhaji Tayo Sowunmi, APGA’s National Vice Chairman (South-West), announced the suspension of Okorocha and announced the dissolution of the State Executive Committee of APGA in Imo huh

Alhaji Tayo has been with APGA from the very beginning. dolo

mikeansy: but why the hell is some Alhaji Tayo chairing a screening committee for APGA in Anambra State huhhuhhuhhuhhuh

This is absolutely ridiculous, distasteful and self defeating!

APGA should do us all a favour and allow the people of Anambra decide the fate of these men!

They even disqualified Oseloka Obaze, Dr Obidigbo and Soludo . . . . .what the hell is APGA playing at?
It is surprising that people like you still champion politics of tribaliam instead of building parties which include people from variuos tribes in leadership pisitions. This is one of the reasons why APGA will not be ultimately successful.

To answer your question, the word "deniability" comes to mind. None of those who were actually responsible for removing Soludo will pay a political price, afterall Alhaji Tayo is not running for office in any SE state.
Modern folks like your boko brothers killing innocent citizens in the name of a 7th century religious belief? If as you stated, the apparently educated thug and possibly a member of Soyinka's old Pirate fraternity, OPC.NAIRALAND, spoke the the mind of most of you, why don't you simply declare your own country and secede? Inasmuch as you people don't have the courage to do so, you will abide by the laws of the land, or be dealt with severely.

Politics › Re: Buhari - Only Death Will Stop Me From Contesting In 2015 by nduchucks:
Must the OP attempt to mislead us with the thread's title which is completely false and shameful? Buhari did not say that only death would stop him from contesting in 2015. You people need to stop being lazy - if you must quote an article, for Pete's sake! !!
Politics › Re: Should State Of Residence Replace State Of Origin In The Constitution by nduchucks: 8:37am On Aug 14, 2013
@OPC.NAIRALAND, soon enough you people will have to come out of the bushes of uncivilization and learn to live under the laws of the land. You can keep your traditions as long as they do not violate the constitution of this great country.

While modern folks are talking about trade-free zones, empowerment zones, enterprise zones, etc, within their land, some of you are still talking about family compounds. SMH

Back in December 2012, President Goodluck Jonathan declared that it is time for Nigeria to ”dismantle the idol of exclusivity” and discard issues that focus on state of origin rather citizens of nation and that this change will be carried out with the ongoing review of the nation’s constitution.

Let's hope the OP is right

It is very instructive to note that since the moderators went AWOL, the politics section has been quite peaceful and fights and extreme insults have significantly reduced.

It could be that certain actions by the mods actually get people ticked off and cause other negative reactions. Mods are well adviced to concentrate on processing requests in the complaint thread and spend less time hiding posts.

Note that all the posts made since the AWOL are still here including the 5% which the mods would have hidden.
Politics › Re: Jonathan Backs Soludo For Anambra Guber Polls by nduchucks: 9:39am On Aug 13, 2013
Onlytruth: It is only smart that GEJ supports APGA and supports Soludo to win Anambra.
It is in HIS interest to do so.
(1)This support for Soludo proves conclusively that GEJ is an unprincipled politician who puts his personal interests above that of his own part and who has no issue whatsoever with prostitution.

(2)This is a also an admission by the President that in Nigeria, you cannot win a statewide election without the support of the Governor of the state in question.

(3)Onlytruth remains politically unsophisticated just like his leaders in the East. dolos

For now, the only certainty is that GEJ will lose in 2015 if he does not make peace with Amaechi and the Governors who support Amaechi.

DerideGull: Even the so-called moderator agreed with Dede1 but inherent tribal bigotry got the best of the so-called owner and moderators of Nairaland.
Mr. Gull, so you remember the historian named Dede1. I used to whip him intellectually here, on a daily basis, but truth be told, he is quite a character. He loves calling his dear homeland cesspit, though he secretly makes millions off the same land. Who's fooling who? cheesy

Mr. President has turned out to be a coward by not speaking up about the ongoing national issue of deportation of citizens to their so-called states of origin.

A sound legal opinion devoid of tribalism. I continue to hope that our president makes good of his pledge, under oath and while holding the bible, to defend the constitution of Nigeria(so help him God). If he doesn't, the decent on well meaning legislators of Igbo extraction must initiate impeachment proceedings, if they have balls.

amobii: Well, i think it is possible because the policeman was only interested in bribe negotiation and not taking note of any camera, remember this was not a camera its a mobile phone and watching the video at the begining.
This is a very disgraceful depiction of the NPF and the further tarnishment of the image of our great country. You should not be celebrating this video or making concerted efforts to make it believable. The bottom line is that you cannot prove that the video is not staged by awon olote.
Politics › Re: Nigerian Police Officer Asking For Bribe (Video) by nduchucks: 12:29am On Aug 07, 2013
I don't buy this crap. How was the diaspora resident able to video the Policeman who was on the front sit without the knowledge of the Policeman?

Gullible Nigerians!!! No wonder your leaders continue to screw you people with impunity.

Did you people confirm the authenticity of the video?

Onlytruth: It equated it when TWO of our TOP APC members supported (one in speech, the other in quiet acquiescence) theye action of illegal deportation of Ndigbo from Lagos. At that point, FASHOLA = APC =NGIGE =OKOROCHA

These Igbo APC members had ample opportunity to distance from that open illegality meted out against THEIR OWN PEOPLE; they chose party over people.

I thought you are smart enough to know that ALL POLITICS IS LOCAL.

So shaddapp dia osiso.
You, like many of your leaders in the East are politically immature and are quite swift in exhibiting tantrums which are unhelpful to your causes.

Like play like play, APC will win the Presidential election and capture a few states in your neighborhood, rendering your likes even more impotent and less powerful.

We need to support the moderators in their attempt to sanitize this Politics section. I urge everyone to try his/her best in getting rid of bigotry and extreme tribalism in this section. When you adults come here and start behaving like kids, you can't blame the moderators for treating you like one. Respect begets respect.

If I were a moderator, I wouldn't even inform the offenders that we have resolved to start instituting long bans, I'd just do it, but only under the condition that its an IP ban to prevent people from nullifying the bans by simply registering under a new userid.

A suggestion for the moderators is to use the "lock" tool more frequently. It usually takes several hours before horrible threads become one. So as soon as a thread starts to heat up, just lock it up and inform people why. When tempers cool off, reopen the thread. The rest of us have to help the moderators in this, by reporting such threads promptly.

We all have vested interests in this section, else we wouldn't be here, lets make it better together. smiley

http://leadership.ng/nga/articles/9600/2011/12/04/anambra_orders_arrest_child_beggars.html
This report simply shows that Fashola is not the only Governor who has carried out illegal deportation of Nigerian citizens in blatant violation of section 35 of our constitution. I call upon our President to put an end to this practice and defend the constitution of Nigeria. Obi appears to be a hypocrite in this matter unless, of course, someone can prove that the 2011 repatriation was done humanely and the repatriated parties willfully agreed to be repatriated.
