I'd recommend that you people find out who owns the oil blocks in the area in question. You'd be mightily surprised. ![]() |
With all due respect Alhaji, my platform is committed to the shredding of that useless constitution. I also promise to shake the bejesus out of the looters of our people's commonwealth. Join me so we can finally give our people the egalitarian Nigeria they deserve. With your support we can do it. ![]() Lest I forget, death to all forms of religious extremism.
It is very clear that you are not a natural politician and I fear for your safety if you are going to run under the platform you described. You should be savvy enough to keep such aggressive rascality quiet until you get elected. I do not wish to waste my support or money unless you change your strategy and renounce your allegiance to all foreign powers. |
Guys like ndu_chucks and beaf, both really are the same. Ndu_chucks opposes the weakening of the FG, because this is the only way the North can continue to suck from the oil-producing teat of the Niger Delta. Two sides of the same evil and conniving coin. Neither man has any principle but to keep his figurative belly fully.
I do not oppose weakening the FG, I believe in true federalism and 100% resource control by the states where the resources are found. The FG must however, keep complete control of ALL offshore resources, Ports, and any inland oil-fields it financed and developed in partnership with non government investors. I'd be surprised of you do not agree with this. |
I will be glad to offer my support but you need to provide more details. I have to be sure that you are not a closet BH member or closet secessionist and that you fully support the constitution of our great country. |
There are hundreds of theories of government that could work well in Nigeria including the one discussed by the above posters. Many of these theories have been written down and are gathering dust is one university or the other. Serious achievers would participate in the existing process by running for local/state/fed elective offices to implement their good ideas. No amount of theory or wishful thinking do. You people need to start pooling your financial and political resources so that your ideas will become realities. It is quite possible that those who currently wield real power will continue to do so for decades to come, while you all remain on NL with your theories and ideas. |
PhysicsQED:ewooooo, so that was a cheap shot and here I was thinking that you are a nice chap. May Okwute Egyptians piafuka gi blokos, Atosiloli. In the meantime, please name one oil well stolen from Edo state. |
Dede1:I just read your reply to my post on Fajuyi. I am not surprised that you and the likes of the incompetent coup plotters only went through Zaria and were at the bottom of your class, while there. That is why they did not realize that, you don't have to run around killing everyone in sight for a coup to be successful. They were never taught about the implications of political calculations in the implementation of successful coups. I don't suppose you've heard about the follow up training usually obtained in Sandhurst, back then. I am beginning to suspect that you were one of those I forced to do a few push ups for insubordination. Dede1:I know about revenue sharing formula. If the governor was fighting about redrawing the map of his state, then he should focus on that. This idea that the state's oil wells were stolen is ridiculous and shameful. Even if the map is redrawn, how much more does the governor expect from the allocation. Oshiomhole and other governors need to focus on creating a friendly environment for investors and development instead of this lazy mechanism of fund raising. @Physics, I'm glad you agree that Omoigui's books are shiity. ![]() |
@OP, I have not read your post or all of the responses to it. I'll simply point out that States do not own Oil Wells. Oil wells are owned by corporations or joint partnerships of corporations/FG. So what oil wells is your foolish governor talking about? This is the kind of ignorance which enables your 'leaders' to continue to screw you up. BTW, Omoigui is a revisionist who has been running his mouth with unsubstantiated 'facts' as his customary way of selling books after Babangida stopped providing financial support to him. His credibility on these matters are questionable, at best. |
Beaf:Beaf, stop insulting the intelligence of Igbos here by the above statement. It assumes that Igbos in NL are ignorant of events which took place in 1967. Shame on you for disrespecting Ndigbo and I hope your apologies will follow. Here's what actually happened: In one of the few temporary successes of the biafran army, it occupied the old Mid-Western region including the area now referred to as ND. Eze Ndigbo Gburugburu, Ikemba Dim Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (RIP), then installed Albert Nwau Okonkwo as Biafran Military Administrator of the territory, after it named the territory Republic of Benin. The occupation did not last long as we drove the biafrans out within 1 month. ![]() Now Beaf claims that the biafran army, which conquered them should have consulted with them, about the name they would call the captured territory!! SMH ![]() Beaf:Beaf, well, this fact is no fable: there has been reports that 1073 (and likely more) Ikwerres have died between 2003-2008 because of attacks by militant groups such as MEND. I would have expected you people to issue an apology on behalf of MEND first, before you continue to pursue the interest you say the SS and SE have, to remain united. olodo |
Eziachi:I understand your biases since you are a civil war veteran who should be respected for his services. But I have news for you, you lost the war!!! I'm sorry to inform you that your governors and other leaders in your village, will be the very people who will arrest and throw you in jail, as soon as you restart your treasonous campaign to tear the country apart. My advise to you people is to learn how to properly participate in the democratic and political process in play, so that you will not be left behind perpetually. Happy New Year, BTW. |
Funkymallam:Funkymallam, This is my first and last warning to you regarding spreading the false rumour that ndu_chucks = Alh harem. I'm not sure what your obsession is, but it does not depict you in a flattering manner. Please respect yourself and quit being childish. I also remind you that false accusations such as what you are engaged in, is a violation of the forum rules. I will report you to higher authorities for due punishment if you don't stop. You've made the same accusation in 3 or more threads. BE WARNED |
Satan does exist. His handwriting is on many threads on NL. Frankly I don't believe he speaks Fulfulde. |
Dede1:You, of all people should know that you cannot hide under the guise of democracy and freedom of speech, while announcing to the world that your country should be thrown into chaos and war which would result into the killing of thousands, if not millions of your citizens. There is nothing democratic about attempting to incite violence, you should be jailed if you go to a packed theatre and yell, Fire!! Madam should be locked up, shikena. |
Dede1:There is nothing wrong with the historical fact in bold above. This fact has withstood the test of time and remains very valid. Revisionists will not be allowed to distort our history without challenge. The fact remains that Fajuyi's action was heroic and very commendable. If you can provide us with evidence to dispute the said historical fact, lets hear it. I will not entertain wishes and revisionism on this matter. |
Is still Annkio Briggs still walking around as a free person, she should have been arrested and put in jail already. |
mekuzoil:^^^^ +1000 |
alj harem:Alj harem, I know, but its in poor taste. He is trying too hard and disrespecting Ndigbo. He does not deserve to be Ikemba, he is too classless. |
The had to spoil everything with this: ![]() On the elevation of Chief Ralph Uwazurike as Eze Igbo Gburugburu, Eya said: “Ohanaeze has no hand in that. It was His Royal Majesty, Eze Obidiegwu Onyenso of Nri Kingdom, who gave him the title. The person who is Eze Igbo Gburugburu has not been buried, why give another person the title? It is not in our tradition to have anyone as Igbo leader worldwide because every area has its leader. I don’t know where and when Igbo people sat to crown Eze Igbo. |
Remii:Since FG is investing $1billion, then option (1) above must apply, ko? That means that the said $1billion is the 40% contribution to the exploration activities. Pray tell, which companies are going to invest $2.5billion (or N402nillion) in the said exploration? Pondering this question will quickly reveal that this is another scheme to steal the bulk of the $1billion FG contribution. SMH again. |
oyb:Thank you very much. This is why I am sounding the alarm now - these thieves are at work again and they've unleashed their apologists to defend their actions. @Beaf, very good, you've rewritten your lies. olodo |
Beaf:Beaf, you should know better than to come to a thread I opened and post outright lies and deception. Your claim that all oil wells in the ND belong to the FG is a bold face lie designed to continue to spread your untruths in NL. I will debunk your claim with only one example: A 45% stake of OML 26 owned jointly by Shell, Total and Eni, (NOT FG) was recently sold to First Hydrocarbon Nigeria (FHN), owned by Afren. The federal government does not own any oil well in this block. Guess where OML 26 is located - just a few tens of kilometers from Warri. Look up Ogini and Isoko oil fields if you doubt my statement. As I stated previously, this $1billion is another way to steal our money, possibly in preparation for 2015. You should be outraged. |
This is nothing but another way of steal our funds. The government has no business in funding exploratory activities such as this - $500million of this fund will simply disappear while they will tell you people that they didn't find any oil where the money was spent! What is wrong with the current practice of giving out oil blocks and allowing private funds to do the investment in exploration? This is another scheme by the usual suspects to rob, once again. SMH The Federal Government has earmarked $1 billion (N160 billion) for exploration for oil in the country’s inland basins particularly the Chad Basin, the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke said. |
Dede1:Dede1 nwanne m, your concern is in order. You may be wasting your time with praise singers and dullards who are despirate for a political champion. This claim of reducing recurrent expenditure to 27% from over 47% by the previous administration is the biggest lie and 419 of all!! What the fools hailing Okorocha do not know is that, the 2012 budget included N66.7 billion in loans, an increase of 200% from 2011 when the internal loans portion of the budget was merely N18.3 billion!!!! Unfortunately, 419 governors like Okorocha are what we have all over the country. I can't believe that people are already calling for this man to become the President in 2015. if you don't believe my analysis, just read Okorocha's budget speech. Go to Capital Receipts section, see the loan amount and weep! |
Let me ask you people a question: God forbid but suppose a man's wife becomes ill and had to be hospitalized for, say 6 months, would you consider the man a sinner or convict him of moral turpitude, if he refuses to have sex outside of his marriage and instead turns to the so-called self service? I think not. Now if he does the act while watching por.no or weird magazines, that would be wrong. This pastor is on point |
PointB:The only thing worse than a silly bigot, is a dumb and imbecilic bigot which the poster above probably is. The poster above encourages one to believe that he suffers from extreme cretinism which is pathologically entrenched in his psyche. Unlike you, poster, I have met the great Ikemba and have nothing but utmost respect for him. He was a leader who championed the interest of his people. He reminds me of people like Sardauna of Sokoto who had notable voice for northern interest and embraced a style of consultation and consensus with the major representatives of the northern emirates. Awolowo similarly had the interest of his people at heart. The great Ikemba was nothing like the Governors who the poster has been running around NL idol worshipping. He is not in the same class with thuggish members of MASSOB either. In the poster’s delusional mind, MASSOB “agreed” with the FG to take control of Ikemba’s burial. Hello!!!!! MASSOB had no choice but to agree or face jail time for disrupting the proceedings. MASSOB was not even recognized as participants, by the burial committee. You MASSOB people better use your common sense and stay out of the way during the burial or you’ll end up in jail or shot by the Nigerian Army. |
ekwy nwa:You are either an illiterate or mischievious. MASSOD earlier wanted to take over the second day of the ceremony but as it stands, that is not going to happen because MASSOB will not be assigned any official role during the burial either in Day1 or Day10. olodo |
I wonder whether some folks know what a pen mame, nom de plume, or literary double mean. SMH |
@OP, Dr. ANTHONY MUDIAGA's assertions are false and intellectually dishonest at best. Sanusi never claimed that 13% derivation to ND is the cause of Northern underdevelopment. The foolish doctor became a sooth sayer and a mind reader when he asserted that Sanusi 'regressed' to a strategy of using ethnic, religious or class sentiments, which political elites in Nigeria often use to gain the support of the dominated citizens to give them political legitimacy. olodo Dr. Mudiaga further states that Sanusi may have ventured into this recursive strategy in Nigerian politics because, he is posturing for the 2015 elections. I repeat this Dr. is a fool who needs to focus in his medical practice instead of attempting to attck Sanusi for no reason at all. Here's is exactly what Sanusi said regarding the said 13% derivation and I quote: There is clearly a direct link between the very uneven nature of distribution of resources and the underdevelopment and rising level of violence in the North. Can anyone dipute the factual accuracy of Sanusi's statement above? Sanusi is not saying that this direct link is the only reason. Only fools like Dr. Mudiaga, will interprete Sanusi's statement to mean that the said derivation is the only reason for underdevelopment in the North. Clearly it is one of the major reasons since it is a major contributing factor to the lack of enough money to meet basic needs prevalent in the region . SMH |
Ok o! Lets then say Ojukwu the great Nigerian leader has passed away.Than the Igbo leader or Biafran war lord or like massob would want him to be and inspiration towards the actualization of a biafran state.
Have no worries, my brother. There are enough prisons and military tools to deal with any threat posed by wayward coneheads. ![]() |
[quote author=Only Everybody should calm down. As long as the title was not confered by Igwe Kenneth Orizu III of Nnewi, the younger Ojukwu is in the same league as other COUNTLESS "Ikembas" in Igboland. He may be Ikemba of Nawfia; I know of at least four other Ikembas from other automonous communities in Anambra state alone. There is only ONE IKEMBA NNEWI.
Eze NL Gburugburu, kedu? You, sir, are a shameless liar. We shall continue to call you out when you attempt to use your Eze title as a deceiving mechanism. If the Ikemba II title confered to Ojukwu's son was not important as you'll have us believe, then the Igbo leaders who rejected the man as Ikemba II, must be cretins and outright mad. My suspicion is that, you, Eze NL, are the mad and ignorant one. |
